For the past 20 years, the growth and development of university-design-educational institutes contributed to the industrial development of our country. Due to the technological fluctuation and changes in the industrial structure in the latter half of the 20th century, the enterprise is demanding professionally-oriented design manpower. The principle which appears from instances of the advanced nations is to accommodate the demands in social changes and apply them to educational design programs. In order to respond promptly to the industrial demand especially, the advanced nations adopted "multidisciplinary design education programs" to lead innovation in the area of design globally. The objective of the research consequently is to suggest an educational system and a program through which the designer can be educated to obtain complex knowledge and the technique demanded by the industry and enterprise. Nowadays in order to adapt to a new business environment, designers specially should have both the knowledge and techniques in engineering and business administration. We suggest that the IPDI, a multidisciplinary design educational system and program is made up of the coordinated operation of major classes, on-the-job training connection, educational system for research base creation, renovation design development program for the application and the synthesis of alternative proposals about the training facility joint ownership by connecting with the education of design, business administration and engineering.

The system of teaching culinary practice needs drastic modification to catch up with dietary life and education curriculum changes. To reflect such changes, it is necessary to instill a strong will and interest as well as educational environment improvement in teachers. In this sense, this study researched the teachers' stages of concerns, levels of use, innovation configuration, and intervention demands, based on the CBAM(Concerns Based Adoption Method) developed by Hord et. al. For the survey, 500 questionnaires sent by mail and 187 were analyzed by SPSS/win 10.0 program. The results are summarized as follows. 1) The teachers stages of concerns on culinary practice is assessed to be in the lowest level of perceptual stage, which indicates a state of indifference. 2) In terms of the levels of use, routine use was the highest, followed by refinement use, integrated use, research use, and reinvent use in descending order. Mechanical use posted the lowest level. Even though the stages of concern showed the beginning stage, the Level of use was relatively high. 3) About the innovation configuration, approximately 30% of the teachers were not accomodate the culinary practice referred to the 7th National Education Curriculum. 4) According to the intervention demands on culinary practice education, it was found that teachers generally wanted more interventions in every component. Among the intervention components, the highest demand was on the support for facility. Demand on the financing is the second highest. Teachers in the level of routine use demanded more information and materials supply and individual encouragement, but teachers in the level of preparation needed study opportunity for training on operation skills more.
'New Universities for Regional Innovation(NURI)' is a financial aid program designed to promote the development of universities as a major component of Regional Innovation System (RIS). In particular, this program emphasizes the role of regional universities to provide the qualified graduates for the regional economy. This paper is to evaluate the effect of NURI, focusing on the change of graduates' employment. The effect of the program can be evaluated by the quality of graduates' accumulated human capital, and graduates' employment performance represents the graduates' quality evaluated in the labor market. This is also believed to be a good performance indicator of the NURI program. We utilize the graduate employment survey of Korean Educational Development Institute (KEDI), and calculate the graduates' employment rates of the departments that received the financial support of NURI (treatment group). We also calculate the graduates' employment rates of the departments that applied for the support of the NURI program but were not selected (comparison group). By using difference-in-differences method, we compare the change of graduates' employment rates in treatment and comparison groups before and after the program came in effect. Compared with the employment rates in 2004 before the NURI program started, the graduates employment rates improved in both groups in 2005 and 2006. The improvement of the employment rates in the treatment group is larger than that in the comparison group. Moreover, the difference of improvement gets larger in the year 2006 than in 2005, which means those students who were affected more years by the NURI program are more likely to be employed. However, the difference is not statistically significant, and we cannot definetely conclude that NURI showed the desired effect on the quality of the college graduates. We calculate employment rates in two ways; whether to treat going on to graduate education as an employment or not. The result was qualitatively the same in both cases. We also tracked quality of employment by investigating the firm size where the graduates of the treatment group were employed. By utilizing data from the Employment Insurance Fund, we measure the firm size by the number of employees. We did not find any deterioration of employment quality between 2005 and 2006, though it deteriorates in 2007. Therefore, the improvement of employment rates until 2006, though not statistically significant, does not seem to come at the cost of employment quality. The interpretation of this result cannot help being very limited. First, this evaluation covers such a short time period. It only covers two years after the program started, 2005 and 2006. Second, the extent of the improvement in employment rates is not satisfactory considering the amount of financial support, even though it can be argued that the employment has improved since the inception of the program. Subsequent evaluation of the program is required to certify the NURI programs' longer term effectiveness.
Despite recent attention to entrepreneurial gift, there has been minimal empirical research regarding characteristics of individual entrepreneurial gift. The aim of this study is to specify and conceptualize characteristics of entrepreneurial gift from systematic empirical investigation. We operationalized the entrepreneurial gift as students participating in 'intellectual property based future creative entrepreneurs' administered by Korean patent office, and compared characteristics of the entrepreneurial gift with those of the gifted students in invention. A total 226 middle and high school students selected as the gifted students in invention, intention scholars, or future creative entrepreneurs by Korean patent office participated in this survey. The survey was designed to measure major adolescent areas such as psychological, intellectual, educational, vocational areas, life purpose and its perception area, innovation-related area, invention-related area, and personal and environmental information. The result showed that entrepreneurial gift has higher score in entrepreneurial potential, in addition to the characteristics that the talented students in invention has. Entrepreneurial gift has similar characteristics in the area of invention-related and environmental conditions, while they showed higher ability in terms of invention-related area and intellectual area. Implications, limitation, and future research direction were discussed.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, higher education in South Korea has rapidly shifted online. In addition, the advent of the Fourth Industrial Revolution has highlighted the need to introduce innovation teaching methods. To cope with these changes and demands, the learning management system used by domestic universities must therefore be improved. This study developed a learning management system for the application of team-based learning to improve and develop the learning management system of domestic universities. The major research findings are as follows. The analysis results showed that there is not sufficient function to apply new innovation teaching methods, such as team-based learning, in the current learning management system of domestic universities. Therefore, a learning management system capable of supporting team-based learning courses was developed in this study. The system consisted of 'pre-class learning,' 'team activities' and 'participation learning,' which were further classified into nine sub-items. In the future, a survey of system users is planned in order to further improve the system. It is believed that if the proposed learning management system were introduced to domestic universities, it would improve the educational environment and contribute to the spread and use of innovative teaching methods.

In 2023, with the completion of the Jeongseon County Public Library, there is a need to establish innovative library policy strategies that consider balanced development by region. The primary goal of this study was to set the direction for the future of Jeongseon County's public libraries and provide appropriate strategies. To achieve this, an examination of the local situation and characteristics of Jeongseon County was conducted, followed by an analysis of the operational status of the public libraries. Additionally, a satisfaction survey and demand analysis were conducted among the residents of Jeongseon County regarding the libraries, to analyze directions for library improvements. Ultimately, taking into account the local characteristics, library status, and residents' needs, an optimized strategy for the region was presented. As a result of the study, the operational goal to achieve the vision was set as "a life-friendly library that shares the healthy lives of residents of Jeongseon-gun," and emphasized its role as a companion close to daily life for the healthy lives of Jeongseon-gun residents. The four strategic tasks to promote the operational goals were expressed as "a library that grows with local residents," "a library that provides multicultural exchange," "a sustainable future-oriented library," and "a library that cooperates with the local community."
In the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, manufacturing is the implementation of smart factories through digital transformation, and refers to consumer-centered intelligent factories that combine next-generation digital new technologies and manufacturing technologies beyond the existing factory automation level. In order to successfully settle such a smart factory, it is necessary to train professionals. However, education for smart factories is difficult to have actual field mechanical facilities or overall production processes. Therefore, there is a need for a system that can visualize and control the flow and process of logistics at the actual production site. In this paper, the logistics flow of the actual site was implemented as a small FMS, a physical system, and the production process was implemented as a digital system. In real-time synchronization of the physical system and the digital system, the location of AGV and materials, and the process state can be monitored to see the flow of logistics and process processes at the actual manufacturing site. The developed digital twin system can be used as an effective educational system for training manpower in smart factories.

The global Industry has been shaped by start-ups that originated with knowledge-based innovative strategies or technologies in the 21st century. Specifically, laboratory start-ups that rely on research papers or patents for new technology development are recognized for their high survival rate and the creation of employment opportunities. Our study concentrated on 'I-Corps', which also introduced in Korea, standing for innovation corps is a laboratory startup program launched in 2011 by the NSF(National Research Foundation) to commercialize R&D results and foster entrepreneurship as part of the policy to build a start-up system at the national innovation level. In this study, we proposed and empirically tested a research model focusing on teams participating in the I-Corps program to determine how startup team diversity, among the team characteristics of laboratory startups, affected patent performance. As a result of the analysis, among the proposed variables, age diversity, educational background diversity, and value diversity had a significant impact on patent performance. The results of this study are expected to further strengthen the theoretical and practical foundations of researchers or practitioners of the I-Corps program, as well as related areas involving technology & laboratory startups, intellectual property and knowledge management fields in the future.
This study looked into the procedures of and the status on the implementation of the new mathematics curriculum at the secondary school level(7th through 10th grades). This study examined schools and the teachers were subjects for the actual implementation of the mathematics classroom. More specifically it examined the degree to which the particular innovation ideas of the 7th mathematics curriculum(i.e., reorganization , student-centeredness, diversification/specialization) were being carried out at every stage of the curriculum implementation. Nationwide survey for teachers including students were conducted along with classroom observation and teacher interviews. For an in-depth study into the process and the product of mathematics curriculum implementation, two provincial boards of education participated in the project as research partners. Detailed documentation on the classroom practices were made in order to provide schools and teachers including policy makers with relevant and practical suggestions for further improvement of mathematics curriculum implementation. It was found that mathematics teachers generally were reconstructing the contents giving the priority to the needs of the learners. The concept of learner-centered-ness was reflected in teaching objectives, contents, instructional methods and evaluation. In most schools observed, emphasis was given to the reorganization of the curriculum contents fitting to the concept of 'student-centered' curriculum. The efforts by teachers to diversity and/or specialize the curriculum contents with consideration of various educational conditions such as student readiness, student abilities, classroom equipment and facilities, school locations and environment were found.
