교육서비스의 상업성 논쟁과 발전과제 (Some Discussions on the Commercialism of Educational Services)

  • All the factors related in education of Korea are very important in the aspect of economic development. The numbers of students being in school from kindergarten through university approximate a quoter of Korean people. Nevertheless paradigm of commercialism in education has been excluded completely in discussion by the reason of 'educational objective' of education fields in Korea. So Korea's educational services have been confronted with various problems which could hardly be solved, and have lost global competitiveness with the development of globalization. The purpose of this paper is to examine the commercialism of educational services by analysing various social phenomena and government policies relating to educational services in Korea, and to find some alternatives which are able to introduce commercialism on educational fields in Korea. Methodology of this paper depends on the theoretical analysis. Major findings of this study can be summarized as follows: First, notwithstanding that the relative importance of education is the same to that of economy in Korea, the providers of educational services in Korea are against their commercialism problems. Second, it is suggested that the stereotyped idea, that is, the commercialism in educational services be excluded, should be removed above all. Third, in order to improve the competitiveness of educational services in Korea, it is recommended that the commercialism be recognized in a part and various strategies such as the s-SCM, educational service marketing, etc. be introduced. Fourth, we have to prepare for globalization of educational services through making the educational industry to exporting services.

FTA와 전문직서비스산업 수출증대방안 - 교육.의료서비스를 중심으로 - (Some Devices for increasing the Exportation of Professional Services)

  • Services, despite the difficulty of its exact definition, can be defined as deeds, efforts, or performances by economical bodies, attributing to four unique characteristics - intangibility, inseparability, heterogeneity, and perishability. This study aims to research the global competition and problems of the local professional services, especially educational services and health services, and to suggest some devices for increasing the exportation of both educational services and health services. Educational services and health services were reserved in the multilateral negotiation to open the WTO parties' markets because of its national public benefits. But it is indispensable to open our local market by the bilateral FTA negotiation. Legal restrictions, therefore, related to both education and health should be erased according to the basic rule of the market competition, and it is advisable to control the national public benefit of these services by enacting the different legal systems. For recovering from minus balance of payment in the educational services or health services, furthermore, it is necessary to drive rather some offensive exporting policies than the defensive policy against supply from the foreign countries. In conclusion, the korean Foreign Trade Act and other relative acts should be revised, and both educational services and health services should be contained within the definition of "the international trade" for the governmental benefits of supporting the services exportation.

  • Purpose: This research aims to analyze the educational potential and students' satisfaction with the quality of education services distribution in Kazakhstani universities. The conceptual review shows that very few studies on regional development have been able to determine the level of satisfaction with the quality of educational services depending on the university's location. Research design, data, and methodology: The research methodology is divided into two approaches descriptive analysis and qualitative data analysis. The current educational situation and the distribution of educational services in the largest Kazakh universities were studied based on the proposed approaches' use. Statistical data are taken for indicators of educational potential for 2010-2020 from the Bureau of National Statistics. The primary data were collected based on a survey for 2021-2022 in five regions of Kazakhstan. Results: The results showed that there is a gender gap between men and women and regional disparities between the regions of Kazakhstan in the coverage of higher education. The results of the sociological survey revealed that the quality of educational services depends on the territorial location of the university. Conclusions: Based on the results of the assessment of educational potential and educational services, policy recommendations and further research in this area were proposed.

  • 본 연구에서는 기록관이 이용자들을 위하여 제공하고 있는 교육서비스 프로그램에 초점을 맞추어서, 선행연구 및 선진국의 사례들을 파악하고 정리하였다. 기록관의 교육서비스 프로그램은 첫째, 주로 초 중등 학생과 교사들을 대상으로 수행되고 있었으며, 둘째, 현행 교과과정과 밀접한 연관이 있는 일차 사료 활용에 중점을 두고 있었다. 셋째, 교사 및 교육전문가, 보존기록전문가(archivists)들간의 구체적이고도 지속적인 협력관계가 병행되고 있었으며, 넷째, 직접적인 강의 형태 외의 책자자료 및 웹 기반 자료로도 다양하게 교육기능이 제공되고 있었다. 마지막으로 기록관의 교육프로그램 대상 주제 영역은 역사 영역 뿐만 아니라 사회과학 및 인문 예술영역도 대상으로 수행되고 있었다.

  • 본 연구는 교육서비스 관련 상품 판매 요인이 교육서비스 만족에 미치는 영향을 파악하고, 이러한 만족이 재등록과 구전효과에 미치는 영향에 관하여 분석하였다. 입시학원에 수강 중인 학생들과 학부모들을 대상으로 실증분석 한 결과 교육서비스 관련 상품판매요인인 교육프로그램과 강사요인에 관한 가설들은 지지되었다. 그러나 물리적환경과 수강료가 교육서비스 만족에 미치는 영향에 대한 가설은 기각되었다. 또한 교육서비스 만족은 재등록과 구전효과에 미치는 영향에 관한 가설은 지지되었다. 이상의 연구결과를 종합해볼 때 교육서비스 만족에 미치는 영향에 있어 교육프로그램과 강사요인이 중요한 역할을 하며 물리적 환경과 수강료는 교육서비스 만족에 있어 중요한 요인이 아니다라는 결론이 도출되었다. 또한 교육서비스 만족은 재등록과 긍정적인 구전형성에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다는 결론이 도출되었다.

교육복지서비스 이용 중학생의 학교생활적응에 관한 연구 (Study on School Life Adaptation of Middle School Students who are Beneficiary of Educational Welfare Service)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine if there is any difference due to the general characteristics of middle school students who are beneficiaries of educational welfare services and a special quality of use about educational welfare services. Additionally, the examination has been performed to understand the relationship that exists between the satisfaction about educational welfare services, and adaptation to school life and self-respect of middle school students who are beneficiaries of educational welfare services. The results of the study showed meaningful higher scores by male students than female students only in the environmental adaptation area among lower areas in school life adaptation due to sex. Due to school year, third-year students showed meaningful high scores in school life adaptation. The satisfaction about programs in each area of educational welfare services of middle school students who are beneficiaries of educational welfare services showed a meaningful static relationship with school life adaptation. The inspection of the relationship between satisfaction about educational welfare services and 5 lower areas of school life adaptation showed statistically meaningful results in the order of adaptation to the teacher, adaptation to the environment and adaptation to the class, which are lower areas. The examination on the relationship between self-respect and adaptation to school life showed that self-respect has a static relationship with all lower areas of school life and overall school life adaptation. However, no meaningful relationship was shown between the satisfaction about educational welfare services and self-respect. Also, it was found that the factors of grade, self-respect, the number of service utilization have an effect on school life adaptation. This study has some limitations. But in this study, which is different from other studies which dealt with students who had used partial areas of educational welfare services, students who were using all 4 areas of educational welfare services were selected as subjects. In addition, this study is significant in that basic data has been offered for establishment of a policy on educational welfare services in middle schools in the future.

치의학 교육 수출의 전략과 과제 (Strategies and Tasks of Exporting Dental Education)

  • Recently, education is regarded as a service item and university education services are being exported abroad. In the form of educational export operations, export of educational contents and curriculum, specific consultancy projects for foreign institutes, installation of local educational facilities, or attracting foreign students are being carried out. Korea has the potential and competitiveness to export dental education. The advantages of Korea's dental education services, such as dental equipment and materials, excellent education programs, and high-quality human resources, will enable the export of education services in various ways. Establishment of educational infrastructure and educational programs for overseas dental students, export of educational consulting items, clinical training programs for foreign dentists abroad, invitation for international clinical workshops, dispatch of faculty members, exchange student programs can be considered as exporting dental education service items. Therefore, in a long-term perspective, it is necessary to establish differential and appropriate educational export plans.

  • 국내의 교육정책정보서비스를 제공하는 교육정책당국, 전문 연구기관과 전문사이트의 10개 웹사이트를 선정하여 내용분석법의 방법으로 이들이 제공하는 주요 정책정보의 종류, 분류체계, 검색시스템의 정보검색 기능 등을 중심으로 분석하였다. 비교 분석한 결과 제시된 문제점을 검토하여 표준화된 교육정책정보 분류체계 개발, 교육정책정보원의 메타데이터 표준화와 검색시스템의 편의성 제고, 정책당국 밀착형 맞춤서비스 제공, 분야별 정책정보 전문센터 운영, 정책분야 간 협력체제 구축을 개선점으로 제안하였다. 또한, 교육정책정보원, 교육정책정보시스템, 운영체제, 협력체제로 구성된 교육정책정보전문센터 모형을 제시하였다.

  • Through the COVID-19 pandemic, the demand for non-face-to-face communication systems has surged, leading to an increased prevalence of virtual interactions across various domains, such as tasks, meetings, orders and deliveries, and even student education. Against this backdrop, interest in the metaverse platform has been on the rise, with metaverse services like Zepeto, Roblox, and Minecraft expanding beyond gaming to encompass educational fields as well. This study aims to identify authenticity factors influencing metaverse platform-based educational services and examine their impact. The authenticity components are defined as integrity, empathy, interactivity, presence, and uniqueness. The study investigates the effects of these authenticity components on both service value and service satisfaction. To achieve this, a survey involving 320 metaverse users was conducted, and the model was subjected to statistical validation. The findings of this research underscore that perceiving metaverse education services, still in the early stages of introduction, as authentic educational methods for learners positively influences satisfaction with the educational service.This study holds significance as it lays the theoretical groundwork for enhancing the authenticity of educational services in virtual space. It defines and proposes authenticity elements for customer satisfaction in metaverse educational services, which are still in their nascent stages. Moving forward, it is anticipated that various studies will be conducted to enhance the value of metaverse education services and achieve higher customer satisfaction as customer experiences evolve and deepen.

공공도서관에서의 에듀넷을 이용한 교육정보봉사 (The EDUNET in Public Libraries: Educational Information Services)

  • In the so-called “information society,”the information service function of public libraries is gaining an increasing importance. In order to meet the growing demand for educational information, the Korean government established the Center for Educational Multimedia Research and Development and opened in 1996 the EDUNET as a comprchensive educational information network. In this context, public libraries as social education institutions are expected to provide educational information services by utilizing the EDUNET information resources. The availability of EDUNET will even increase when the librarians assist users with systematic information search services, and digitalize printed materials in the library. For this purpose, it is necessary for them to accommodate new information technologies and, thereby, to raise the level of information services up to that of their users’needs by enhancing the librarians’expertise in helping users search information effectively. In this end, we suggest a financial decision be made to build an oversea educational information exchange system.
