  • The present study was to investigate the mediating and moderating effects of self-acceptance on the relationship between perfectionistic self-presentation and peer relationship quality in adolescents. Two hundred and sixty-one middle school students were surveyed. The results were as follows. First, self-acceptance had a full mediation effect on the relationship between perfectionistic self-presentation and peer relationship quality. That is, peer relationship quality was only indirectly affected by perfectionistic self-presentation through self-acceptance. Second, self-acceptance had a significant moderating effect in the relationship between perfectionistic self-presentation and peer relationship quality. Perfectionistic self-presentation did not have a statistically significant impact on peer relationship quality in the group with low self-acceptance, but it did in the group with high self-acceptance. Therefore, this study suggests the need for counseling and educational approaches to improve adolescents self-acceptance by verifying the effect of self-acceptance in perfectionistic self-presentation and peer relationships.

  • Task-oriented chatbots prevail in various filed with the artificial intelligent dialogue system. The need for chatbots in customer services is growing, especially in education businesses given that there are many user inquiries and consultation requests. However, current dialogue systems only function as simple reactions or predetermined and frequently used actions. Meanwhile, the research about customized recommendation systems through artificial intelligence is very active with a wide variety of educational content. Although a dialogue system and a recommendation system is a core element in this domain, it has a limitation in that it is being conducted separately. Therefore, we present a study on a recommendation system that can recommend user-customized lectures combined with a dialogue system. With this combination, our system can respond to additional functions beyond these limitations. Through our research, we expect that work efficiency and user satisfaction will be improved by applying chatbots in education domains that are becoming more diversified and personalized.

  • Silgyeong sansuhwa (Realistic landscape paintings) are drawn in Korea since 17th century. It has characteristics of more realistic description of landscape than painting from previous periods. Kim Hong Do's 'Haedong Myeongsan docheop (The album of paintings of famous mountains in Korea)' has been recognized as fine example of realistic description of geomorphic landscapes. Kim Hong Do and Kim Eung hwan did official travel to Gwandong and Geumgangsan area by order of King Jeongjo in 1788. As a result of that travel they draw about 100 piece of landscape painting. About 60 pieces of the paintings are still remaining. These are open to public by Korea National Museum in 1996. 14 pieces of painting, Daegwanryeong and Gangneung, Gyeongpo-dae, Hohae-jeong, Gahak-jeong, Cheonggan-jeong, Mun-am, Mangyang-jeong, Wolsong-jeong, Neungpa-dae, Naksan-sa, Mureung-gye, Gyejo-gul, and Hyeonjong-am, are analysed in this study. Coastal depositional landforms, like lagoon, sand beach and spit or barriers, erosional forms, like sea stack, sea cliff and sea cave, depicted in the paintings are analysed. In addition, structural landforms, colluvial landform and bedrock incision form by the running water in mountain area were analysed and weathered forms of granite and excursion to karst cave also discussed. It is found that sea arch in the printing destroyed since 1788, though exact position and reason is still unknown. There are strong need for discovery and identification of geomorphic landscape resources, for applied geomorphological studies and for prepare educational materials for non-face-to-face education. It also be emphasized that it can be used of the course work materials for future education using augmented reality and virtual reality technology.

  • The core purpose of the study is to develop and validate an ADDIE model based instructional model for English Language Teaching (ELT) in early childhood classroom in Bangladesh as an aid to teachers to reconstruct their knowledge and experience more strategically, and for them to design and implement their instruction more structurally. This study is developmental in nature which has been divided in five phases as follows. Phase I: Existing methods and instructional strategy review, Phase II: Instructional model development, Phase III: Delphi 1st round, Phase IV: Delphi 2nd round and Phase V: Model validation. After reviewing relevant literature and existing strategy in phase I, the 1st version of instructional model is made phase II. Next in phase III and phase IV, two rounds of Delphi have been conducted where experts related to different concerning areas of this study reviewed the 1st version and gradually the final version of the instructional model is made. Finally, the instructional model for English teachers of early childhood classroom in Bangladesh got validated by the same Delphi panelists in Phase V. In respect with each phases of ADDIE, the instructional model elaborates the 1) representative key points, 2) instructors' activities prescribed for the instructors, 3) supporting strategies. Both the conceptual and procedural models are included in this study for clearer identification of the whole process. Lastly the study provides some recommendations for instructors and practitioners on choosing the instructional model like doing prior need analysis, incorporating teacher training programs, training students, keeping on researching for finding effective teaching technique and tools and being open to changes etc. In addition, the study also acknowledges its limitations like not being able to consider the psychological factors due to time limitation. Finally, at the end the study points out the areas that welcome further research.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop an instructional model using new technologies aiming to secure students' learnability and to enhance the public school values in the rural districts. The present study attempts to suggest a practical e-learning instructional and learning model named Group Dynamics- based Debate Instructional Model', which utilizes unique technology environment conditions in most. To develop the model, concepts of group dynamics and debate-based instructional models were reviewed. And in-service teachers in two public schools in a certain rural district were interviewed in order to collect and analyze their needs for a teaching and learning model with which they utilizes unique technology conditions as environment in most. Based on literature review and the need analysis, a group dynamics-based debate instructional model has been suggested in terms of conceptual model. And then expert assessment composing of five in-service teachers from the model schools was implemented twice in order to acquire the suggested model validation, followed by the model validation by a group of experts. Then a revised group dynamics-based debate instructional model has been finally suggested. The group dynamics-based debate instructional model is expected to build up members' affective connection in the process, to generate group value, or collective intelligence, and to establish positive discussion culture. Furthermore, beyond of just utilizing the existing materials, learners are encouraged to develop and collect their own materials and data such as expert's interview, or public news for their argument or refutation. In doing so, learners enhance their learnability as well as accountability, prompting self-directed learning, and establishing appropriate discussion culture resulting in positive learning outcomes.

  • This study was conducted to review the feasibility of establishing a joint preservation library centered on the Chungcheongbuk-do Office of Education. To achieve this, a survey and perception survey were conducted. The research results suggest the following: Firstly, the functions of the Chungcheongbuk-do Office of Education joint preservation library should focus on the preservation of valuable materials, the development of Chungcheongbuk-do educational and school-specialized materials, and prioritizing the digitalization of important transferred materials and providing services to the general public. Secondly, when determining the criteria for materials to be transferred in the future, priority should be given to materials that require preservation in their original form and those that need media conversion. Thirdly, when considering the types of materials to be transferred in the future, the operational plan should primarily focus on monographs but also consider other types of materials. Fourthly, regarding ownership rights of materials during the transfer process, it is advisable to establish detailed transfer guidelines, including ownership rights, through discussions between the Chungcheongbuk-do Office of Education and individual libraries via the Joint Preservation Library Operating Committee.

  • Background: Dental caries in preschool children can cause early loss of teeth, reduced masticatory function, malocclusion, and speech disorders, making oral care for preschool children essential. However, because children have a poor ability to perform oral hygiene by themselves, educational tools that help establish correct oral health behaviors are required. This study evaluated the effect of toothbrushing application for kids on dental plaque removal and toothbrushing interest in preschool children. Methods: Seven 5-year-old children enrolled in a daycare center participated in the evaluation, and the same children participated in the experiment twice a week. The Pokémon Smile application (App) was used as an auxiliary application for tooth brushing, and the degree of dental plaque removal on the tooth surface was evaluated by quantitative light-induced fluorescence-digital imaging. After the experiment, children's toothbrushing preferences were investigated through interviews. Results: The levels of AREA R30 and AREA R70 measured after the children's toothbrushing as usual decreased compared to those before toothbrushing; however, the change was not significant. The levels of AREA R30 and AREA R70 measured after using the Pokémon Smile App were significantly reduced compared to those before toothbrushing. Children's interest in brushing their teeth increased by 28.59% after using the Pokémon Smile App. Conclusion: The toothbrushing application for kids effectively removes dental plaque by helping preschool children brush their teeth. It also increased preschool children's interest in tooth brushing. Therefore, an oral health education application would be useful for children who need to develop correct oral care methods and habits.
