Objectives : The purpose of this study was to examine the curriculum, educational facilities and employment guidance of the departments dental hygiene in junior colleges in different regions and the satisfaction level of students with their major in an effort to provide some information on the improvement of educational environments and satisfaction level with the major. Methods : The subjects in this study were 315 dental hygiene students in several junior colleges located in Seoul, Gangwon Province and South Jeolla Province. A survey was conducted during a 15-day period from April 15 to March 1, 2010. Results : As for educational environments and satisfaction level with the major, they gave 3.18, 2.95 and 3.11 respectively to satisfaction level with curriculum, facilities/employment guidance and the major. In terms of satisfaction with educational environments by academic year, the juniors and seniors expressed much satisfaction with the qualifications of professors, the preparation of labs and practice devices, the utilization of labs and practice devices and a supply of employment information. By region, the students from the metropolitan area were satisfied a lot with curriculum, the qualifications of professors, practice-centered curriculum, the preparation of labs and practice devices, the utilization of labs and practice devices, the system of employment guidance and a supply of employment information. By credit, the students tho got A expressed lots of satisfaction with the quality of instruction. Concerning satisfaction level with their major by academic year, the juniors and seniors were highly satisfied with relationship with dental hygiene professors and social status of dental hygienists. By school location, the students from the metropolitan area expressed a lot of satisfaction with the content of major courses and social status of dental hygienists. Conclusions : In order to boost the satisfaction level of students in non-metropolitan areas, colleges should try to improve educational environments, and full-fledged assistance should be provided to them.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate and analyze the demands for educational programs on clinical trials of Korean medicine devices, and develop training programs based on the needs of Korean medicine. Methods: This research was conducted targeting 26 volunteer applicants who had participated in clinical trials of Korean medicine devices within the last five years (2010-2015). The survey was carried out between May 1, 2015 and May 26, 2015 via e-mail. After receiving questionnaire replies, the material was established. Using obtained data, frequency analyses were performed using SPSS 20.0 version. Results: 92% of the researchers who participated in the survey expected introduction of educational programs on clinical trials and anticipated that programs contain information that can meet the needs of each researcher. In addition, according to the analysis, introducing expert certification for clinical trials of Korean medicine devices is necessary, and offering related graduate courses are also needed. Conclusions: As a result of this study, researchers had difficulties during clinical trials of Korean medicine devices. If the educational programs were to be developed and institutional frameworks support them effectively, it would prove to be helpful to researchers in clinical trials.

In recent years, smart devices have changed the paradigm of education. However, the educational environment and teaching methods could not catch up with this fast improvement and an utmost need for development of educational methods has been realized. In this paper, the general usage of smart devices by elementary school teachers is analyzed and the methods through which smart devices are utilizing smart learning is discussed in the result. A survey of 221 elementary school teachers in Gangwon Province showed that 87.7% of them are currently using smart devices. In addition, teachers were using smart devices with not much difference from ordinary people. The three main motives of teachers who were already using smart devices and those who were planning to take advantage of smart devices were innovativeness, usability and easiness. The reason of need to apply smart devices in education is because of its functionality in various learning types, courses and teaching-learning process methods. Although smart devices have a high efficacy in education but they are not widely utilized yet. In order to solve these problems and be able to take more advantage of smart devices in education, teachers should learn how to use smart devices and a strong sense of willingness is required to make changes in the educational methods. The results of this research on elementary school teachers can be further developed for a greater smart device based smart learning.

Regardless of the strict enforcement of prevention education in accordance with the school facility management standard, safety accidents that lead to human and physical damages occur in current educational facilities because of teenagers with very low sense of responsibility and insensitivity toward fire and facility safety. To ensure educational facility safety, technology that will enable a fast work process and easy confirmation of electronic blueprints and related documents about the educational facility through smart devices at the site by various means is needed. This paper proposes a system design linked to the National Education Information System (NEIS) that uses the document conversion function, high efficiency resolution, and Internet of Things (IoT) to inspect and control the educational facility in the event of a safety accident through the Educational Facility Resource Management System (EFRMS) that manages the electronic blueprints, and various educational facility documents through various smart devices.

Purpose: This study is based on the results of the National Information Society Agency's the Report on the Digital Divide in 2022. This study sought to develop digital literacy education programs for senior citizens, a digitally disadvantaged group, and to utilize smart devices to enhance their digital capabilities. Research design, data and methodology: Based on Gagné's nine events of instruction, a total of 7-session educational programs using smart devices were developed, and teaching-learning goals were set at a level that older learners can realistically perform. In preparation for the era of digital transformation, AI utilization methods are introduced and utilized in some sessions of the educational program. Results: Among a total of 7 sessions of the educational program, 5 sessions using KakaoTalk and Naver App, and 2 sessions using other apps were developed. There are a total of three sessions using AI. Conclusions: This study presented a digital literacy education program that combined AI, addressing the insufficiency of AI-based education programs targeting senior citizens. It is expected that this educational program will be able to improve the digital literacy skills and provide a basis for fulfilling their responsibilities as digital citizens by suggesting a direction for AI utilization education for senior citizens.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the characteristics of daylighting environment in classroom of an school building due to the external shading devices such as fixed louvers, light shelves and exterior venetian blinds. In this study, we have made a field research with regard to the facade design in classroom of an school building. And we have made a classification of external shading devices considering the design parameters. Finally, through RADIANCE simulation, we have calculated the spatial distribution of illuminance, uniformity ratio of illuminance and daylight factors. The results of this study will provide the building designer with the basic daylighting performance data at early design stages.

With the transition from internal combustion engine vehicles to eco-friendly cars, it has become essential to systematically construct an education system for electric vehicles based on high-voltage electric devices. In this study, we discussed the establishment of an educational system for electric vehicles based on high-voltage electric devices and proposed methods for qualifications after completing the education. To ensure systematic education, we presented a classification of learners according to their levels and job competencies. Additionally, we emphasized the importance of providing adequate practical training equipment for courses that require higher qualifications. Finally, to distinguish between the levels of completion of training and practical skills, we highlighted the necessity of implementing a system to certificates to individuals who have successfully completed the systematic training program.

Services, despite the difficulty of its exact definition, can be defined as deeds, efforts, or performances by economical bodies, attributing to four unique characteristics - intangibility, inseparability, heterogeneity, and perishability. This study aims to research the global competition and problems of the local professional services, especially educational services and health services, and to suggest some devices for increasing the exportation of both educational services and health services. Educational services and health services were reserved in the multilateral negotiation to open the WTO parties' markets because of its national public benefits. But it is indispensable to open our local market by the bilateral FTA negotiation. Legal restrictions, therefore, related to both education and health should be erased according to the basic rule of the market competition, and it is advisable to control the national public benefit of these services by enacting the different legal systems. For recovering from minus balance of payment in the educational services or health services, furthermore, it is necessary to drive rather some offensive exporting policies than the defensive policy against supply from the foreign countries. In conclusion, the korean Foreign Trade Act and other relative acts should be revised, and both educational services and health services should be contained within the definition of "the international trade" for the governmental benefits of supporting the services exportation.

With advances in smart and ICT(information and communication technology) technologies, our life style has been changing dramatically. Now everybody can enjoy the benefits of such technologies in every aspect of his/her daily life. Currently more and more people are trying to have smart devices such as smart phones and tablet PCs so that smart devices become the bare necessities. New smart technologies have created a new concept called smart learning in education area. As educational smart contents become popular, we need quality standards for the contents. Those standards are essential for evaluating the smart contents and suggesting guidance for future smart contents production. Although there are some standards for the existing e-learning environments, to our best knowledge, there are no standards for educational smart contents in the literature. The purpose of this paper is to develop quality standards for educational smart contents. The proposed quality standards are based on the existing quality standards in e-learning environments and include some characteristics of smart learning. For development of quality standards, wide experts group from academy and industry are selected and surveyed. Their responses are analyzed based on thorough statistical analysis so that final quality standards for educational smart contents are developed.

Entering the convergence education era, the emergence of smart devices removed the constraint of time and space for study, so if we use smart devices appropriately for education, it will strengthen students' abilities and cultivate creative human resource. Therefore the current study analyzed the general application condition of the smart devices through surveys targeted to students and proposed a measure in applying the smart device as an educational information. In relation to information application, a test was proceeded after carrying out education targeted to experiment group students by naming the group information search, communication, cooperation, sharing, report generation, data storage, online assessment and project management activity. Through the test and survey analysis, it was discovered that the experiment group students displayed higher self-efficacy and ability in applying the smart device as information compared to the control group.
