중환자실 간호사의 환자안전간호활동 교육요구도 조사 : IPA 활용 (Study on Educational Needs of Patient Safety Nursing Activities in Intensive Care Units: Utilizing Importance-Performance Analysis)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to not only examine the importance and performance status of patient safety nursing activities in the intensive care unit but also to understand nurses' educational needs in this respect. Methods : In this descriptive study, 196 nurses working in the intensive care units of university hospitals located at B City and G Province were enrolled. They completed the Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) questionnaire, and the data were statistically analyzed. Results : Mean±standard deviation item scores of importance and performance of patient safety nursing activities were 4.75±0.33 and 4.48±0.38, respectively. In the IPA results, a total of 10 items were included in the second quadrant, including 1 item related to 'transfer,' 1 to 'infection,' and 1 to 'firefighting surveillance.' As the second quadrant contains the high-importance, low-performance items, these 10 items resemble the nurses' educational needs that should be prioritized. Conclusion : The results of this study can be used as a basis for the development of nursing educational programs for patient safety in the intensive care unit.

Current Status and Parents' Perception on Horticultural Activity Programs for Preschoolers in Korea

  • This study conducted a survey on 163 parents in Korea to investigate their interest in plants, experience in growing plants, and perception on horticultural activity programs (HAP) for their children. Most children (80.4%) of the respondents had experience participating in HAPs, and most of their experience occurred during school hours in preschool educational institutions more than once a month (60.3%). The more interest in plants and experience in growing plants the parents had, the more experience the preschoolers had in participating in HAPs, which implies that the experience of the parents with plants affected their children's participation in HAPs. Parents' most preferred location of HAPs was preschool educational institutions, and most preferred time was school hours with a frequency of more than once a week (57.1%), which is more frequent than the current status of HAPs in preschool educational institutions. Parents also responded that the most preferred instructors of HAP has are those with a professional background in horticulture. Among the activities in HAP for preschoolers, parents most preferred cooking (M = 4.05) activity, and they did not dislike any of the activities. They responded that the facilities for HAP needed to be improved to make HAP more active in preschool educational institutions. Overall, based on the current results, developing suitable HAPs and facilities for preschoolers, fostering professional HAP instructors, and educating parents about horticulture would enhance HAPs in preschool educational institutions, thus providing preschoolers with many benefits of HAPs.

동양신화에 기반한 통합 교육활동이 유아의 창의·인성에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Educational Activities Based on Oriental Mythology on Young Children's Creativity and Personality)

  • 본 연구는 동양신화를 기반으로 한 통합교육활동이 유아의 창의성과 인성에 미치는 효과를 알아보고자 만 5세 유아 36명(실험집단 18명과 비교집단 18명)을 대상으로 총 14회기의 프로그램을 적용하였다. 본 연구를 위하여 동양신화의 원류인 "산해경(山海經)"에 소재한 신화를 수업활동의 기본 자료로 활용하여 실험집단에게 전개하였고, 비교집단에게는 생활주제에 따른 일반적인 누리과정 활동을 시행하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 21.0 통계 프로그램을 사용하였으며, 활동실행 후에는 집단별 사전검사 점수를 공변인으로 하여 공변량 분석(ANCOVA)을 하였다. 연구 결과를 보면 첫째, 동양신화를 활용한 통합적 교육활동이 유아의 창의성 전체와 모든 하위요인에서 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 동양신화를 활용한 통합적 교육활동이 유아의 인성에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 동양신화를 대상으로 교육 텍스트를 확장하고 전환하는 작업은 유아의 창의성과 인성 신장에 도움을 줄 뿐만 아니라 유아에게 동양에 관한 새로운 이해를 도모하고 문화적 균형성을 경험할 기회를 제공해준다는 점에서 유의미하다.

  • The article considers the position of scientists on the concept of "pedagogical technology", identifies the signs of pedagogical technology and existing classifications, considers non-traditional (innovative) learning technologies, as well as their practical forms of application in the educational process, summarizes the results, makes recommendations for the practical application of the studied material. The article considered the basic concepts of pedagogical technology, as well as some types of non-traditional (innovative) teaching technologies. Also, examples of the use of some elements of innovative technologies in practical educational activities are given. The choice of specific non-traditional pedagogical technologies is determined by the target orientation, content specificity, individualization of training, technical equipment of the educational institution, etc.

  • Globalization of higher education deepens the competition in the global educational services market. Competition between higher education institutions is based on the use of a wide range of activities and tools that are constantly evolving and becoming more complex. Digitalization significantly transforms the approaches to competition between universities in educational, research and marketing activities. Digital technologies are becoming an integral part of this competition. In addition, in the current conditions of globalization of the scientific and educational space, numerous rankings of universities have become an important tool of the competition; the most significant rankings of universities are as follows: Academic Ranking of World Universities (China), Times Higher Education Rankings of Universities (Great Britain), Webometrics (Spain). In the article, the key principles of the formation of world rankings of universities are analyzed, the main sources of information resources for their compilation are determined. The authors have concluded that the improvement of the position of educational institutions in the world rankings of universities should be implemented within the framework of the state educational policy. The key positive effects of universities due to increasing the competitiveness level of the national higher education system are specified.

발도르프 프로그램과 생활주제중심 프로그램 유형에 따른 5세 유아의 활동분석 (Waldorf and Theme-based Program Analyses of Five-year-olds' Activities of Early Childhood Educational Programs)

  • This study was to provide date for developing a effective educational program which would be helpful for teachers to understand children's daily activities more properly. From two kindergartens, 20 children were observed for 3 consecutive hours. The observer followed the target child, gathering data during 30-second "windows". This observation lasted for three hours per day and each child was observed 60 times. The proportion of major activities such as education, play, work, and conversation in children's daily activities was compared. Results showed that children of Waldorf program were more exposed to and engaged in play than children of Theme-based program, whereas children of theme-based program were exposed to and engaged in academic activities than those of Waldorf program.

  • The purpose of this study is to establish fundamental standards of architectural planning concerning special class facilities in order to offer the basic information on the appropriate spatial organization of the special classroom by looking at the relationship between learning activities and living activities and the existing spatial organization. At present, there are no proper architectural standards which correspond to special class children's handicap and it's various characteristics. The special classes are just using ordinary classrooms without a considerations of the children with manifold handicap. In this sense, this study deals with appropriate special class facilities corresponding to the various characteristics of children's handicap, the contacting activities of special children with ordinary children and finally proper environment for the mainstreaming education which special education pursues.

중학생의 학교 진로교육 참여활동이 진로개발역량에 미치는 영향 (Analysis on the Affecting Factors of School Career Educational Activities for Junior-high School Students' Career Development Competencies)

  • 본 연구는 중학생의 학교 진로교육 참여활동이 진로개발역량에 영향을 미치는 영향을 분석하여 그 결과를 토대로 정책방향이나 개인방향을 제시하기 위한 목적으로 '2015 학교 진로교육 실태분석'을 위해 전국 400개교 10,728명의 중3학생을 대상으로 한 온라인 설문 응답내용을 위계적 회귀분석을 사용하여 분석하였다. 분석결과 학교 진로교육 참여활동 중 '진로와 직업' 수업, 진로심리검사, 진로체험은 진로개발역량에 통계적으로 유의미한 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 '진로와 직업' 수업, 진로심리검사, 진로체험이 중학생의 진로개발역량 향상에도 도움이 된다는 사실을 의미한다. 끝으로 학교 진로교육 활동의 필요성과 중요성을 강조하고, 각 종 학교 진로교육 활동 효과를 제고하기 위한 정책적 시사점 및 한계를 함께 제시하였다.

발명교육활동 관찰 및 분석 도구 개발 (The development of observation and analysis instrument for improvement of invention education activities)

  • 이 연구는 학교 및 발명교육센터 등에서 이루어지는 발명교육활동의 분석과 질적 제고를 위한 관찰 및 분석 도구를 개발하기 위한 것이다. 이 연구를 위해 문헌 고찰을 통해 관찰 및 분석 도구의 초안을 개발하였으며, 이에 대하여 발명교육현장 전문가와 발명교육연구 전문가 10인으로부터 의견 수렴을 통해 타당화 하였다. 전문가 의견수렴은 Fehring(1987)의 내용타당도 지수(CVI)를 근거로 하였다. 이에 따른 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 발명교육활동의 관찰 및 분석의 틀은 관찰대상, 관찰단계 그리고 관찰내용의 3차원으로 구성된다. 둘째, 발명교육활동 관찰 및 분석의 도구는 분석자, 관찰 대상, 관찰 수업 내용, 교사 관찰 및 분석, 학생 관찰 및 분석, 교육환경과 과제 관찰 및 분석으로 구성된다. 셋째, 개발된 도구는 5점 리커트 척도 외에 개별 관찰요소에 대한 의견 및 종합 의견을 기술할 수 있도록 구성하였다. 이를 통하여 향후 발명교육활동에 대한 모니터링을 통해 질적인 평가 외에 교육활동 개선이 이루어지길 기대한다.

『유치원 활동 지도 자료집』에 수록된 동시·동화·동극의 생태적 요소 분석 (Analysis of Ecological Elements in the Nursery Rhymes, Stories, and Plays of the Guide for Educational Activities and Materials for Kindergarten)

  • This study analyzed ecological elements of 140 nursery rhymes, stories, and plays in the $6^{th}$ edition of the Guide for Educational Activities and Materials for Kindergarten. The results show that 24 works(17.1%) have ecological elements. Content analysis of ecological elements in these works show works that deal with the side effects of environmental development(3 nursery stories), the cult of nature(1 nursery rhyme), recognition of the eco-cycle(2 nursery rhymes, 4 stories, 2 plays), dignity of life and recovery of human nature(12 nursery stories). On the basis of the results, children's literature containing ecological elements were suggested.
