Block programming environment, which is represented by Scratch in elementary and middle school programming education, is suitable for learner's characteristics and cognitive level, and is recommended not only for beginners. Transference to the text programming environment after the block programming is essential for understanding the data processing process, understanding the accuracy and efficiency aspects of algorithms, and creating SW activity. In addition, it is presented step by step in the programming curriculum. In this study, developed WithBlock the online evaluation system for the purpose of transference from a block programming to a text programming environment. The developed system can solve the same algorithm problem in both block and text programming environment, and it can be used for elementary and secondary programming education by automatically scoring the written code and providing immediate feedback. In order to applicable to programming education in elementary and secondary surveyed the usability, learning possibility, interest and satisfaction of WithBlock. The results of the survey showed that it can be used for programming education.

The revised 7th education course of information implies that students use variety of information devices to solve the common problems and it also includes the programming education for improving problem-solving abilities. Not only improving problem-solving abilities but also developing thinking skill is expected in programming education. However, traditional programming education is teacher-oriented and focused on language syntax. Accordingly, students have heavy cognitive load and it decrease students' interest of programming. Therefore, in this paper, a instructional method of programming using educational robot is proposed to improve interest of elementary students in concretive operation stage for effectiveness of programming education. Additionally, results of experiments show that proposed robot programming instructional method can be applied in elementary education.

Programming training in informatics education have the means that algorithm design and problem solving. However, Because learning and using programming tools that should be done first, elementary school students learning the programming tools that are interested in the process has been reduced. But programming with using an Educational Programming Language(EPL) can show results directly and coding with a drag & drop method that keeps the elementary students' interests for programming. Now that, the students are possible to enhance their creativity and reasoning skills. Therefore, through the result of this study show how to apply the EPL in the elementary information classes and comparing with before this study and after the study, we analyzed to applicate prosperity of EPL.

This study shows how to impact on programming learning using Scratch by the learning style. Firstly, students were classified by learning styles test using the VARK questionnaire. After one semester of programming education, correlation with learning styles and various instructional factors was analyzed. Scratch-based programming education improves the cognitive effectiveness and learning satisfaction for elementary school students. Especially students with visual preference performed better on programming education based on Scratch statistically. As a result, the process of programming must be mainly considered in programming education.

Lately, studies on the educational effectiveness of educational programming language which can reduce the learning burden of the learners have been conducted in the programming learning process. This study analyzed the effect of programming education on the learning motivation and academic achievement after training the programming education using Scratch and Dolittle on the preliminary elementary school teachers. As a result, the experimental group trained by Scratch programming education showed significantly higher achievement than the control group by Dolittle Programming. This result can be helpful in selecting educational programming language when the programming education will be trained to the preliminary elementary school teachers.

The National Institute of Special Education developed and distributed software textbooks for disabled students according to the necessity of practical course in elementary school and information in middle school in the 2015 revised curriculum. It is a textbook provided from the perspective of education opportunity equity but the content of programming education for visually impaired students was insufficient. Therefore this study was conducted for the purpose of confirming the effectiveness of programming education for visual impaired students and providing the direction of future programming education. In order to achieve the purpose, programming classes were conducted for blind students in the 6th grade of elementary school. As a result of a study using "Blocks4All", a block-based programming tool with robots, students participated in classes actively and efficacy, intrest, and usefulness of programming are high. This study is meaningful in that it confirmed the possibility of programming education for visually impaired students.

Many researches indicate that programming learning could help improve problem solving skills through algorithmic thinking. But in general, programming learning has been focused on programming language features and it also gave a heavy cognitive load to learners. Therefore, this paper proposes a programming activity process to improve novice programming learners' algorithmic thinking efficiently. An experiment was performed to measure the effectiveness of the proposed programming activity process. After the experiment, the learners' perception on programming was shown to be changed, to effective activity in improving problem solving.

A programming class was conducted in a current discretionary activity time-slot for computer education by using Dolittle which enhances problem solving ability and creativity for the fifth graders in elementary school. Based on this experiment, a correlation between the programming class and problem solving ability, creativity, and interests in programming of children was examined to suggest an outlook for improving the current computer education.

Programming education generally includes problem analysis process, automation through algorithms and programming, and generalization process. It is a good software education method for students in improving computing thinking. However, it was found that beginners had difficulties in understanding instruction usage, writing algorithms, and implementing programming. In this study, we developed a game programming education model and curriculum for programming education of pre-service teachers. The 4E model consisted of empathy, exploration, engagement and evaluation. In addition, it is configured to learn game core elements and core command blocks by each stage. To help the pre-service teachers understand the use of various programming blocks, a three-step teaching and learning method was presented, consisting of example learning, self-game creation, and team-based projects. As a result of applying and verifying the curriculum for 15 weeks, it showed significant results in the 4E model and pre-service teachers' perception of block programming competence and the level of computational thinking on the submitted game project results was also high.
As the connection between objects and computers becomes easier, learning using physical computing is presented as a good alternative to solve the problems raised in programming education for beginners. In this paper, we propose a training method that can be applied to basic programming courses for beginners. To do this, we will proceed with a basic programming lecture based on the physical computing method. Currently, physical computing courses focus on various input sensor connection methods and output device control. However, the content of programming education using physical computing materials is lacking. In this paper, we proposed and tested a teaching method that is used in programming education by using low cost materials used in physical computing.
