  • The purpose of this study is to explore the implications for the systematic operation of the AI curriculum by analyzing the current status of the AI major curriculum in universities. To this end, This study analyzed the relevant curriculum of domestic universities(a total of 51 schools) and overseas QS Top 10 universities based on the industry demand-based standard of AI major curriculum developed through prior research. The main research results are as follows. First, in the case of domestic universities, Python-centered programming subjects were lacking. Second, there were few subjects for advanced learning such as AI application and convergence. Third, the subjects required to perform the AI developer job were insufficient. Fourth, in the case of colleges, the ratio of AI mathematics-related subjects was low. Based on these results, this study presented implications for the systematic operation of the AI major education.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of Android application programming education to control Arduino using App Inventor on industrial high school students' creative and integrative thinking ability. We developed an instructional content based on integrative learning and creative problem-solving model and taught a class on it. The result of this study showed that there was a significant improvement in divergent thinking and motivation items among the sub elements of creative problem solving. In addition, students' survey on the integrated thinking has shown that many students think that they could design an IoT system applied to everyday life based on the knowledge they have learned in this class. Therefore, it can be confirmed that physical computing education using App Inventor and Arduino has a positive effect on students' creative and integrative thinking ability.

  • In this paper, we consider the two computer intensive methods for extended Euclidean algdrithm. Two methods we propose are C-programming based approach and Microsoft excel based method, respectively. Thses methods are applied to the derivation of greatest commnon devisor, multiplicative inverse for modular operation and the solution of diophantine equation. Concrete investigation for extended Euclidean algorithm with the computer intensive process is given. For the application of extended Euclidean algorithm, we consider the RSA encrytion method which is still popular recently.

  • A micro zoom system without moving elements by use of two liquid lenses is designed and optimized in this paper. The zoom equations of the system composed of two liquid lenses are deduced. The structure parameters including radius and thickness of a conical double-liquid electrowetting based lens are analyzed and calculated. Because the liquid thickness varies non-linearly with the radius of the interface, it's very difficult to optimize a real liquid lens using commercial optical design software directly. Through the Application Programming Interface (API) of the optical design software CODE V, a zoom system with two real electrowetting based liquid lenses is modeled and optimized. A two-liquid-lens zoom system without moving elements, with a zoom factor of 1.8 and a compact structure of 10 mm is designed for illustration. This can be useful for the camera design of mobile phones, tablets and so on. And this paper presents a convenient way of designing and optimizing a zoom system including liquid lenses by commercial optical design software.

  • As interest in software education has increased, discussions on teaching, learning, and evaluation method it have also been active. One of the problems of software education teaching method is that the instructor cannot grasp the content of coding in progress in the learner's computer in real time, and therefore, instructors are limited in providing feedback to learners in a timely manner. To overcome this problem, in this study, we developed a software education support system that grasps the real-time learner coding situation under block-based programming environment by applying a learning analysis technique and delivers it to the instructor, and visualizes the data collected during learning through the Hadoop system. The system includes a presentation layer to which teachers and learners access, a business layer to analyze and structure code, and a DB layer to store class information, account information, and learning information. The instructor can set the content to be learned in advance in the software education support system, and compare and analyze the learner's achievement through the computational thinking components rubric, based on the data comparing the stored code with the students' code.

  • Since computer integrated technology was introduced to the field of education, it has offered an expanding range of interactive possibilities which are remarkably powerful and helpful for the learners, especially constructing the cyber learning environments. Interactivity, the critical element in cyber learning, is categorized into three dimensions: student-to-contents, student-to-student and student-to-instructors. Six surrogate variables are introduced, and two quantitative model are developed for evaluating the degree of interactivity. The first model, which is called Data Envelopment Analysis model, is a linear programming based technique for measuring the relative performance of organizational units where the presence of multiple inputs and outputs makes comparison difficult. DEA model allows each unit to adopt a set of weight that shows it in the most favorable light in comparison to the other unit. The Second model employes the weighted average of standardized input variables for evaluation. Actual data have been collected from the Cyber IT university and these two models are applied for comparison. The analysis shows that the results from these two models are very much similar to each other, and are highly correlated to the level of class satisfaction.

  • Our society is developing exponentially, but schools are not keeping up with the pace of society's development, and they are not providing digital literacy education suitable for the growth and development of students. Thus, this study identified the actual conditions and problems of digital literacy education at school sites and sought the direction of development of digital literacy education. By identifying the current state of schools in which the 2015 curriculum is operated, we sought the direction of the development of digital literacy education for our school. First, old digital devices should be replaced, laptops or smart devices should be provided for each student, and internet access should be available throughout the school. Second, digital literacy education should be provided to teachers by providing various training opportunities.Third, coding education where you can express what you think as logical thinking, Software training should increase the level of the algorithmic domain that shows the computational thinking process of discovering problems and automating a given problem into a computer programming language, there is enough robot that can be seen operating the program, digital parish will need to be delivered.

  • This paper analyzes the level of satisfaction of two groups of teachers who were educated about artificial intelligence using App Inventor. The participants were 13 pre-service and 9 in-service elementary school teachers and the data was collected using a questionnaire. As a result of the study, in-service teachers were all more satisfied than pre-service teachers in terms of interest, difficulty, and participation in the education. In addition, the questions investigating whether education helped motivate learning of artificial intelligence and whether there is a willingness to apply it to elementary classes in the future were also more positive for in-service teachers than for pre-service teachers. In general, pre-service teachers had somewhat more negative views than in-service teachers, but they were more positive than in-service teachers in terms of whether the education helped improve their understanding of artificial intelligence and whether they were willing to participate in additional education. Analysis of the Mann-Whitney test to see if there was a significant difference in satisfaction between the two groups showed no significance. This may be because most of the students in the two groups already had block-type or text-type programming experience, so they were able to participate in the education without any special resistance or difficulty with App Inventor, resulting in high levels of satisfaction from both groups. The results of this study can provide basic data for the future development and operation of programs for artificial intelligence education for both pre-service and in-service elementary school teachers.

  • In the era of the fourth industrial revolution, the world is undergoing rapid social change. The purpose of this study is to predict the expected changes and necessary competencies and desired curriculum and teaching methods in the field of mechanical engineering in the near future. The research method was a Delphi study. It was conducted three times with 20 mechanical engineering experts. The results of the study are as follows: In the field of mechanical engineering, it will be increased the situational awareness by the use of measurement sensors, development of computer applications, flexibility and optimization by user's needs and mechanical equipment, and demand for robots equipped with AI. The mechanical engineer's career perspectives will be positive, but if it is stable, it will be a crisis. Therefore active response is needed. The competencies required in the field of mechanical engineering include collaborative skills, complex problem solving skills, self-directed learning skills, problem finding skills, creativity, communication skills, convergent thinking skills, and system engineering skills. The undergraduate curriculum to achieve above competencies includes four major dynamics, basic science, programming coding education, convergence education, data processing education, and cyber physical system education. Preferred mechanical engineering teaching methods include project-based learning, hands-on education, problem-based learning, team-based collaborative learning, experiment-based education, and software-assisted education. The mechanical engineering community and the government should be concerned about the education for mechanical engineers with the necessary competencies in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, which will make global competitiveness in the mechanical engineering fields.
