This paper proposes the combined image retrieval system that gives the same relevance as exhaustive search method while its performance can be considerably improved. This system is combined with two different retrieval methods and each gives the same results that full exhaustive search method does. Both of them are two-stage method. One uses condensation of feature vectors, and the other uses binary-tree clustering. These two methods extract the candidate images that always include correct answers at the first stage, and then filter out the incorrect images at the second stage. Inasmuch as these methods use equal algorithm, they can get the same result as full exhaustive search. The first method condenses the dimension of feature vectors, and it uses these condensed feature vectors to compute similarity of query and images in database. It can be found that there is an optimal condensation ratio which minimizes the overall retrieval time. The optimal ratio is applied to first stage of this method. Binary-tree clustering method, searching with recursive 2-means clustering, classifies each cluster dynamically with the same radius. For preserving relevance, its range of query has to be compensated at first stage. After candidate clusters were selected, final results are retrieved by computing similarities again at second stage. The proposed method is combined with above two methods. Because they are not dependent on each other, combined retrieval system can make a remarkable progress in performance.

This paper is a study on the digitization of an analog 3D pen. The term digital implies features such as homeostasis, transformability, combinability, reproducibility, and convenience of storage. One device that produces a combination of these digital characteristics is a 3D printer, but its industrial use is limited due to low productivity and limitations with materials and physical characteristics. In particular, improvements are required to use 3D printers, such as better user accessibility owing to expertise and skills in modeling software and printers. Complementing this fact is the 3D pen, which is excellent in portability and ease of use, but has a limitation in that it cannot be digitized. Therefore, in order to secure a digitalization capability and ease of use, and to secure the safety of printing materials that pose controversial hazards during the printing process, research problems and alternatives have been derived by combining food, and digitization was demonstrated with a newly developed 3D pen. In order to digitize the 3D pen, a sensor in a structured device detects the motion of an analog 3D pen, and this motion is converted into 3D data (X-Y-Z coordinate values) through a spatial analysis algorithm. To prove this method, the similarity was confirmed by visualization using MeshLab version 1.3.4. It is expected that this food pen can be used in youth education and senior healthcare programs in the future.
In this study, a proposed ensemble learning technique aims to enhance the semantic segmentation performance of images captured by Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). With the increasing use of UAVs in fields such as urban planning, there has been active development of techniques utilizing deep learning segmentation methods for land cover segmentation. The study suggests a method that utilizes prominent segmentation models, namely U-Net, DeepLabV3, and Fully Convolutional Network (FCN), to improve segmentation prediction performance. The proposed approach integrates training loss, validation accuracy, and class score of the three segmentation models to enhance overall prediction performance. The method was applied and evaluated on a land cover segmentation problem involving seven classes: buildings, roads, parking lots, fields, trees, empty spaces, and areas with unspecified labels, using images captured by UAVs. The performance of the ensemble model was evaluated by mean Intersection over Union (mIoU), and the results of comparing the proposed ensemble model with the three existing segmentation methods showed that mIoU performance was improved. Consequently, the study confirms that the proposed technique can enhance the performance of semantic segmentation models.

The paper actualizes the twin camera module system that is portable and very useful for the production of 3D contents. The suggested twin camera module system is a system to be able to display the 3D image after converting the inputted image from 2D stereo camera. To evaluate the performance of the twin camera module suggested in this paper, I assessed the correction of Rotation and Tilt created depending on the visual difference between the left and right stereoscopic image shot by the left and right lenses by using the Test Platform. In addition, I verified the efficiency of the twin camera module system through verifying Depth Error of 3D stereoscopic image by means of Scale Invariant Feature Transform(SIFT) algorithm. I think that if the user utilizes the suggested twin camera module system in displaying the image to the external after converting the shot image into the 3D stereoscopic image and the preparation image, it is possible to display the image in a matched way with an output device fit respectively for different 3D image production methods and if the user utilizes the system in displaying the created image in the form of the 3D stereoscopic image and the preparation image via different channels, it is possible to produce 3D image contents easily and conveniently with applying to lots of products.
This study was carried out to investigate the current trends in skiing-related research from existing literature in the field of kinematics, measurement sensor and computer simulation. In the field of kinematics, research is being conducted on the mechanism of ski turn, posture analysis according to the grade and skill level of skiers, friction force of ski and snow, and air resistance. In the field of measurement sensor and computer simulation, researches are being conducted for researching and developing equipment using IMU sensor and GPS. The results of this study are as follows. First, beyond the limits of the existing kinematic analysis, it is necessary to develop measurement equipment that can analyze the entire skiing area and can be deployed with ease at the sports scene. Second, research on the accuracy of information obtained using measurement sensors and various analysis techniques based on these measures should be carried out continuously to provide data that can help the sports scene. Third, it is necessary to use computer simulation methods to clarify the injury mechanism and discover ways to prevent injuries related to skiing. Fourth, it is necessary to provide optimized ski trajectory algorithm by developing 3D ski model using computer simulation and comparing with actual skiing data.
The Seventh Curriculum makes sure that those students who don't have a proper understanding of contents required at a certain stage take a remedial course. But a trend contrary to the intention is formed since there is no systematic education for such a course and thus more students get to fall into the group of low achievement. In particular, solving a simultaneous equation in a rote way without understanding influences negatively students' achievement. Schoenfeld introduced the basic elements of one's own mathematical problem solving process and behavior, referred to Polya's. Employing Schoenfeld's strategy, this study aimed to induce students' active participation in math classes, as well as to focus on a mathematical problem solving process during the study. Two students were selected from a remedial course at 00 Middle School and administered with a qualitative case study method over 17 lessons, each of which lasted for 30 minutes. In the beginning, they used such knowledge as facts and definitions a lot. There was a tendency of their resorting to intuitive knowledge more when they lacked basic knowledge or met with a difficult question. As the lessons were given, however, they improved their ability to implement algorithm procedures and used more familiar ones with the developed common procedures in the area of resources.
Although Intelligent Tutoring System(ITS) offers individualized learning environment that overcome limited function of existent CAI, and consider many learners' variable, there is little development to be using at the sites of schools because of inefficiency of investment and absence of pedagogical content knowledge representation techniques. To solve these problem, we should study a method, which represents knowledge for ITS, and which reuses knowledge base. On the pedagogical content knowledge, the knowledge in education differs from knowledge in a general sense. In this paper, we shall primarily address the multi-complex structure of knowledge and explanation of learning vein using multi-complex structure. Multi-Complex, which is organized into nodes, clusters and uses by knowledge base. In addition, it grows a adaptive knowledge base by self-learning. Therefore, in this paper, we propose the 'Extended Neural Logic Network(X-Neuronet)', which is based on Neural Logic Network with logical inference and topological inflexibility in cognition structure, and includes pedagogical content knowledge and object-oriented conception, verify validity. X-Neuronet defines that a knowledge is directive combination with inertia and weights, and offers basic conceptions for expression, logic operator for operation and processing, node value and connection weight, propagation rule, learning algorithm.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the research status and trends related to the industrial mathematics based on text mining techniques with a sample of 4910 papers collected in the SIAM Journal on Applied Mathematics from 1970 to 2019. The R program was used to collect titles, abstracts, and key words from the papers and to analyze topic modeling techniques based on LDA algorithm. As a result of the coherence score on the collected papers, 20 topics were determined optimally using the Gibbs sampling methods. The main results were as follows. First, studies on industrial mathematics were conducted in a variety of mathematics fields, including computational mathematics, geometry, mathematical modeling, topology, discrete mathematics, probability and statistics, with a focus on analysis and algebra. Second, 5 hot topics (mathematical biology, nonlinear partial differential equation, discrete mathematics, statistics, topology) and 1 cold topic (probability theory) were found based on time series regression analysis. Third, among the fields that were not reflected in the 2015 revised mathematics curriculum, numeral system, matrix, vector in space, and complex numbers were extracted as the contents to be covered in the high school mathematical curriculum. Finally, this study suggested strategies to activate industrial mathematics in Korea, described the study limitations, and proposed directions for future research.
This paper is about a physical layer frame security technique using OFB-style encryption/decryption with AES algorithms on Gigabit Ethernet network. We propose a data security technique at the physical layer that performs OFB-style encryption/decryption with AES algorithm with strong security strength when sending and receiving data over Gigabit Ethernet network. Generally, when operating Gigabit Ethernet network, there is no security features, but data security is required, additional devices that apply this technique can be installed to perform security functions. In the case of data transmission over Gigabit Ethernet network, the Ethernet frames conform to IEEE 802.3 specification, which includes several fields to ensure proper reception of data at the receiving node in addition to the data field. When encrypting, only the data field should be encrypted and transmitted in real time. In this paper, we show that only the data field of the IEEE802.3 frame is encrypted and transmitted on the sending node, and only the data field is decrypted to show the plain text on the receiving node, which shows that the encryption/decryption is carried out correctly. Therefore, additional installation of devices that apply this technique can increase the reliability of the system when security for data is required in Ethernet network operating without security features.
The estimations of the surface rain intensity and rain-related physical variables derived from two independent Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission (TRMM) satellite sensors, TRMM Microwave Imager (TMI) and Precipitation Radar (PR), were compared over four different oceans. The precipitating clouds developed most frequently in the warmest sea surface temperature (SST) region of the west Pacific, which is 1.5 times more frequent than in the east Pacific and the tropical Atlantic oceans. However, the east Pacific exhibited the most intense rain intensity for the convective and mixed rain types while the tropical Atlantic showed the most intense rain intensity for all TMI rainy pixels. It was found that the deviation of TMI-derived rain rate yielded a big difference in region-to-region and rain type-to-type if the PR rain intensity value is assumed to be closer to the truth. Furthermore, the deviation by rain types showed opposite signs between convective and non-convective rain types. It was found that the region-to-region deviation differences reached more than 200% even though the selected tropical oceans have relatively similar geophysical environments. Therefore, the validation for the microwave rain estimation needs to be performed according to both rain types and climate regimes, and it also requires more sophisticated TMI algorithm which reflects the locality of rainfall characteristics.
