Verification of the Effectiveness of Artificial Intelligence Education for Cultivating AI Literacy skills in Business major students

  • Purpose: In the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, individuals equipped with fundamental understanding and practical skills in artificial intelligence (AI) are essential. This study aimed to validate the effectiveness of AI education for enhancing AI literacy among business major student. Research design, data and methodology: Data for analyzing the effectiveness of the AI Fundamental Education Program for business major students were collected through surveys conducted at the beginning and end of the semester. Structural equation modeling was employed to perform basic statistical analyses regarding gender, grade, and prior software (SW) education duration. To validate the effectiveness of AI education, seven variables - AI interest, AI perception, data analysis/utilization, AI projects, AI literacy, AI self-efficacy, and AI learning persistence - were defined and derived. Results: All seven operationally defined variables showed statistically significant positive changes. The average differences were observed as follows: 0.47 for AI interest, 0.32 for AI perception, 0.37 for data analysis/utilization, 0.27 for AI projects, 0.25 for AI literacy, 0.39 for AI self-efficacy, and 0.41 for AI learning persistence. Statistically, AI interest exhibited the most substantial average difference. Conclusions: Through this study, the applied AI education was confirmed to enhance learners' overall competencies in AI, proving its utility and effectiveness in AI literacy education for business major students. Future research endeavors should build upon these results, focusing on ongoing studies related to AI education programs tailored to learners from diverse academic backgrounds and conducting continuous efficacy evaluations.

  • This paper presents a learning-based visual inspection method that addresses the need for an improved adaptability of a visual inspection system for parts verification in panorama sunroof assembly lines. It is essential to ensure that the many parts required (bolts and nuts, etc.) are properly installed in the PLC sunroof manufacturing process. Instead of human inspectors, a visual inspection system can automatically perform parts verification tasks to assure that parts are properly installed while rejecting any that are improperly assembled. The proposed visual inspection method is able to adapt to changing inspection tasks and environmental conditions through an efficient learning process. The proposed system consists of two major modules: learning mode and test mode. The SVM (Support Vector Machine) learning algorithm is employed to implement part learning and verification. The proposed method is very robust for changing environmental conditions, and various experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • In this paper, a new signature verification method is proposed. In the proposed method, on-line signature features are decomposed into multi-level signals by using the discrete wavelet transform, and then they are verified using the adaptive algorithm in time-frequency domain. Through computer simulations, the effectiveness of the proposed method is examined.

  • 이러닝 컨텐츠를 활용하여 학습자가 자기주도적으로 학습을 진행할 때, 컨텐츠에 사용된 여러가지 멀티미디어적 요소들은 학습자에게 흥미를 유발시키고 주의집중을 유지시켜주는 역할을 한다. 의지가 약하고 주의집중 가능 시간이 짧은 초등학생들의 주의를 컨텐츠에 집중시키기 위하여 다양한 장치들이 현재 사용되고 있다. 그중에서 특히 플래시 애니메이션과 스크립트를 이용하여 학습자의 학습활동을 유도하는 장치들을 주의집중장치로 정의하고 그 효과성을 검증한다.

  • 건설 규모가 대규모가 됨에 따라 건설 산업 실무감각, 현장의 간접경험을 통하여 졸업후 건설산업 현장에 바로 투입할 수 있는 예비 엔지니어링 양성을 목표로 건축교육 개선을 위한 노력이 많이 진행되고 있다. 하지만 건축교육 중 실무적인 이해가 많이 필요한 건축시공교육의 겨우 여전히 기존 텍스트북 위주의 교육수업과 현장견학에 한정되어 진행되고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 타임랩스, 동영상, 애니메이션 등의 스마트 미디어를 접목시켜 간접적인 실무경험이 가능한 교육 콘텐츠 개발을 제안하였다. 또한 사용성, 실용성(학습적합도), 필요성, 상용화 가능성의 항목을 기준으로 개발한 콘텐츠의 효용성 검증하였다. 이를 기반을 콘텐츠의 장점을 살린 건축시공교육 콘텐츠를 통해 교육의 효과성을 높이는데 기여하고자 한다.

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of early childhood science education instruction through the implementation of science teaching methods and science teaching attitudes of preschool teachers. Methods: This study was conducted on 52 female students in the early childhood education department of Early Childhood Science Education at G university in Gyeongbuk province. The data collected in this study were analyzed through reliability analysis, carbon scanners verification, and homogeneity verification; ANCOVA was used to verify the effectiveness of the program. Results: First, the results showed that the post-test belief of science teaching methods of the experimental group were significantly different than that of the control group. Second, the results showed that the post-test scores of science teaching attitudes of the experimental group were significantly higher than that of the control group. Conclusion/Implications: This study suggests that there were positive influences of early childhood science education instruction through the field practice on the belief of science teaching methods and science teaching attitudes of preschool teachers.

Development of the Contents of AI Convergence Education Method Subjects and Verification of Teaching Efficacy Effectiveness for Elementary and Secondary Teachers

  • 본 논문에서는 초중등 교사를 대상으로 AI융합교육 전공 교과목 중 'AI융합교육방법' 수강자의 요구와 환경을 분석하고 이를 바탕으로 교과목을 개발 및 적용하여 정보교육 교수효능감에 대한 효과성을 검증하였다. 연구를 위해 'AI융합교육방법' 과목을 수강하는 초중등 교사를 연구 대상으로 선정하여 대상의 일반적인 특성과 사전 지식 수준, 교육내용 요구를 조사·분석한 결과를 바탕으로 'AI융합교육방법' 교과목의 영역, 15주의 교수·학습 내용을 개발하였다. 개발된 'AI융합교육방법' 과목을 15주간 대상에게 적용하여 정보교육 교수효능감에 대한 효과성을 검사하고 분석한 결과, 정보교육 교수효능감은 적용 전에 비해 통계적으로 유의미하게 향상된 것으로 나타났다. 정보교육 교수효능감의 하위요소 중 정보 수업 가치관, 정보 교수 전략에서 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 향후 학교 현장과의 연계, 타 교과와의 융합 등 교사 전문성 확보를 위한 후속 연구 진행이 필요하며, 교수학습 자료, 인공지능 교육용 플랫폼 등 다양한 자료와 교수학습 방법이 체계적으로 마련될 필요가 있다.

대학교육에서의 CHANGE 플립러닝(Flipped Learning) 수업모형 개발 -교육방법및교육공학교과를 중심으로- (The Development of CHANGE Flipped Learning Instructional Model in Higher Education - base on the 'educational method and technology')

  • Main objectives of the this study are: to develop a model of "Flipped Leaning" that is designed to enhance self-directed learning, learning motivation and self-control, and to verify its effectiveness-in higher education. The verification process initially concentrated on the feasibility study of the model with a thorough literature review and case analyses; then, its general and practical applicability were tested with a field study. As a result, first, the CHANGE Class Model, specifically designed for effective and efficient "Flipped Learning", was developed. It is thus named for the stages that the learning process takes place in the model-i.e., (1) Check ${\rightarrow}$ (2) Ask ${\rightarrow}$ (3) Notice ${\rightarrow}$ (4) Group presentation ${\rightarrow}$ (5) Evaluation, and it emphasizes the dynamic, questions centered (i.e. back and forth between the students and the instructor as well as between the students) learning process. Second, the Model was instrumental in enhancing self-directed learning, learning motivation and self-control; thus, as a result, it significantly improved the effectiveness, the level of concentration and the attractiveness of the learning process. The value of this study lies in pointing to a clear plan to allow a student in higher learning to set-up a self-directed learning plan, to be able to control it while being continuously motivated to complete it.

태블릿 PC 기반의 융합형 아동 교육용 기능성 게임 (Tablet PC based Convergence Educational Serious Game for Children)

  • 모바일 플랫폼의 보급이 확대되면서 디지털 콘텐츠(Digital Contents)가 양산됨에 따라 교육용 기능성게임 역시 관심이 증대되고 있다. 그러나 기존의 디지털 교육용 기능성 게임은 교육적 기술의 적용이 미비하거나 오프라인(Offline) 교육과 연계되지 않는 단독적인 형태를 가지고 있어 효율성이 낮다. 본 논문에서는 태블릿 PC를 활용한 아동 교육용 기능성 게임 '쌀미미 어드벤쳐'를 개발하였다. 개발한 게임은 이야기, 놀이, 음악, 요리의 4가지 요소를 디자인하여 총 5 단계로 구성하였고 캐릭터와 인터랙션 등을 통한 콘텐츠의 집중도와 흥미를 높였다. 천안 소재 초등학교 3,4학년 126명을 대상으로 온/오프라인의 학습 융합과 효율성을 실험한 결과, 태블릿 PC를 활용한 디지털 교육과 오프라인 교육의 연계 학습 측면과 학습 디자인 요소를 적용한 게임 콘텐츠의 효율성 측면에서 긍정적인 결과를 알 수 있었다. 본 연구를 통해 아동들의 오프라인 교육에서 디지털 콘텐츠를 적용한 효과적인 수업과 학습 방법을 모색 할 수 있을 것이다.

  • Today, the potential safety risk is increased due to a construction industry is high-rised, mechanized, and complexed. Most workers injured in accident caused by lack of safety awareness. Therefore the safety education is focused in construction site, but it can not get workers' interest and has many problems to reduce construction accident. This study investigated the effects of education used BIM intended for workers in construction site to verify the objective effectiveness in future.
