A hypereutectic Aluminum-Silicon Alloyis widely used in the parts of automobile because of high-resistance and good strength. In this study, the cutting of a hypereutectic A1-Si alloy (A390) for extraction of Si particle was experimentally investigatec. By proper selection of cutting tool material and optimization of cutting conditions economical machining of this alloy is achieved. The surface roughness relate closely with the feed rate and cutting speed.
A new concept ??soft solution processing?? has been introduced to fabricate advanced solid state materials in an economical, environmentally friendly, and energy and material efficient way. The prepared films show the desired and prospective properties despite of low temperature synthesis and no post-synthesis annealing. Successful examples demonstrate that soft solution processing is capable of preparing advanced materials with planned properties through the easy control of reaction conditions in a suitable aqueous solution in a single synthetic step without huge energy consumption and without any sophisticated equipment.

This paper introduces the result of performing research analysis on awareness and demand on economic aspect of dwellers toward remodeling by aiming at the fact that there are existing dwellers which is the biggest feature of remodeling. Providing services that are suitable for economic conditions and demands of owners or dwellers of Apartment House could be seen as something that must be considered first above all things in remodeling in which consumers have to pay for expenses are specified.

Many researchers are trying to reduce the use of lubrication fluids in metal cutting to obtain safety, environmental and economical benefits. The aim of this study is to determine the optimization lubrication conditions in minimum quantity lubrication(MQL) turning of workpieces with taper angle. This study has been considered about various conditions of MQL. The objective functions are cutting force and surface roughness. Design factors are nozzle diameter, nozzle angle, MQL supply pressure, distance between tool and nozzle and length of supply line. The cutting force and surface roughness were statistically analyzed by the use of the Box-Behnken method. As a results, optimum lubrication conditions were suggested and verification experiment has been performed. The results of this study are expected to help the selection of lubrication conditions in MQL turning.

Optical imaging systems that operate through atmospheric pathways often suffer from image degradation, mainly caused by the distortion of light waves due to turbulence in the atmosphere. Adaptive optics technology can be used to correct the image distortion caused by atmospheric disturbances. However, there are challenges in conducting experiments with strong atmospheric conditions. An optical phase plate (OPP) is a device that can simulate real atmospheric conditions in a lab setting. We suggest a novel two-step process to fabricate an OPP capable of simulating the effects of atmospheric turbulence. The proposed fabrication method simplifies the process by eliminating additional activities such as phase-screen design and phase simulation. This enables an efficient and economical fabrication of the OPP. We conducted our analysis using the statistical fluctuations of the refractive index and applied modal expansion using Kolmogorov's theory. The experiment aims to fabricate an OPP with parameters D/r0 ≈ 30 and r0 ≈ 5 cm. The objective is defined with the strong atmospheric conditions. Finally, we have fabricated an OPP that satisfied the desired objectives. The OPP closely simulate turbulence to real atmospheric conditions.

This paper shows optimal dimensioning for the corner combined footings to obtain the most economical contact surface on the soil (optimal area), due to an axial load, moment around of the axis "X" and moment around of the axis "Y" applied to each column. The proposed model considers soil real pressure, i.e., the pressure varies linearly. The classical model is developed by trial and error, i.e., a dimension is proposed, and after, using the equation of the biaxial bending is obtained the stress acting on each vertex of the corner combined footing, which must meet the conditions following: 1) Minimum stress should be equal or greater than zero, because the soil is not withstand tensile. 2) Maximum stress must be equal or less than the allowable capacity that can be capable of withstand the soil. Numerical examples are presented to illustrate the validity of the optimization techniques to obtain the minimum area of corner combined footings under an axial load and moments in two directions applied to each column.

Aviation safety requires systematic national attention and management because aircraft accident produce greater undesired social impact, economical damage, and declining national credibility compare to other transportation accident. Specially, Republic of Korea has highly increased risk of air accident as a major air transportation point having small aerospace, connecting pacific ocean and Asia, and explosively increased air traffic produced by economical growth, operating numerous military aircraft for the South and North Koreas' confrontational situation. Also, greatly increased domestic and oversea air travels by Koreans and foreigners as well as air freight based on heightened Korea's national power, launching new low cost carriers, and popularized leasure aviation have produced large amount of aviation needs in various fields. However, national aviation safety management system gratifying increased aviation needs and aircraft operations is seem to be slow in progress. This paper will show optimized measures utilizing private, governmental, and military resources to prevent aircraft accident under circumstances of limited budget and an favorable conditions, then will propose several action items.
A significant portion of residential areas of Turkey is located in active earthquake zones. In Turkey occurred major earthquakes in last twenty years, such as Erzincan (1992), Kocaeli and $D{\ddot{u}}zce$ (1999), $Bing{\ddot{o}}l$ (2003), Van (2011). These earthquakes have demonstrated that reinforced concrete (RC) buildings having horizontal and vertical irregularities are significantly damaged, which in turn most of them are collapsed. Architectural design and arrangement of load-bearing system have important effect on RC building since architectural design criteria in design process provide opportunity to make this type of buildings safer and economical under earthquake loads. This study aims to investigate comparatively the effects of weak story irregularity on earthquake behavior and rough construction costs of RC buildings by considering different soil-conditions given in the Turkish Earthquake Code. With this aim, Sta4-CAD program based on matrix displacement method is utilized. Considering that different story height and compressive strength of concrete, and infill walls or their locations are the variables, a set of structural models are developed to determine the effect of them on earthquake behavior and rough construction costs of RC buildings. In conclusion, some recommendations and results related to making RC buildings safer and more economical are presented by comparing results obtained from structural analyses.
A study on economic performances of consecutive multi-span suspension bridges is carried out. In this part of the study, material amount and structural cost estimation formulas of the bridges is derived based on the structural ultimate carrying capacity. The bridge cost includes the part of superstructure and the part of substructure. Three types of bridge foundations, bored piles, concrete caissons and floating foundations, are considered in substructure. These formulas are to be used for the parametric study of the bridge cost in order to define its more economical layout under different conditions in the part two of the study.
Single-storey industrial buildings are one of the most often type of structures built among various skeletal framed steel constructions. These metallic buildings offer an exceptional opportunity to minimise the material employed, contributing to a more sustainable construction. In particular, the mansard portal frame is a typology made up of broken beams that involves different lengths and discontinuous slopes. This study aims the weight reduction of the standard mansard portal frame with design purposes by means of varying four parameters: the kink position, the eaves-apex slope, the span and the columns height. In this work, we suggest some guidelines that can improve the economical competitive capabilities of their structural design. In all the cases analysed, the joints of the portal frame are placed over the theoretical non-funicular shape to uniform loads. This allows reducing the bending moment and the shear force, but increasing the axial force. In addition, the performance of mansard and typical pitched portal frames submitted to the same boundary conditions is compared in terms of efficiency in the use of steel. In the large majority of the cases, mansard typologies are lighter than the common pitched frames and, hence, more economical.
