Until now, we recognize that water supply is a public sector rather than business sector in Korea. In spite of the general recognition, water supply sector has an important role within the national economy as an industry. This study try to analyze the current status of water supply sector as a industry with input-output analysis. As we expected, water supply sector is still minor as an industry sector. However, this is not because water supply sector is not important as a industry, but because the price of water too low or free. With regard to the water price impacts, our results show that the 10% increasing water price has only increased 0.01% of the general price level, which is neglectable. To have a competitiveness as a industry, water sector should be reevaluated based on its socioeconomic value. Government policy for water supply sector should achieve two purposes; the one is for as a public service, the other is for the setting new paradigm as an industry.

In these days, the interest on medical industry is increasing around the world. This paper attempts to estimate the economic effects of the medical and measuring instrument industry through the Input-Output Analysis. Especially, 78*78 Sector Tables were used as the first analysis tool. So then, 79*79 Sector Tables adjusted were used for that industry. The main analysis tools of this study are comparing and analyzing backward and forward linkage effect, the induced effect of the self industry and other industries and the induced coefficients such as products, value-added, employee's pay, sales surplus, employment. According to the result of analysis, the medical and measuring instrument industry has great economic impacts which affects the major macroeconomic factors such as production and backward linkage effect. And the induced effects of the self medical and measuring instrument industry are significant compared to other industries in aspects of production, employee's pay and sales surplus.

This paper discuss on the strategies for rural economic development Maul purposes of this paper are as follow: First, to review importance of economic promotion in the integrated rural developmental scheme, Second, to identify structural problems of rural economy, and Third, to suggest promotional strategies for the development of rural economy. Economic vitalization is the very important strategy to support daily life of rural population. Since rural economy heavily depends on agricultural sector which has relatively low productivities, diversification of rural economy through introduction of 2nd and 3rd industrial sector is one of the most urgent tasks in rural Korea. Integrated, localized, and planning oriented approaches with reformation of incentive system for the development of rural economy are strongly recommended as new strategies.

This research aimed to clarify the impacts casted by inwards FDI on New venture creation, industrialization, and the economic growth of Russia. For all of these variables, data was taken about Russia from the site of The World Bank, and the selected duration was from 1995 to 2019. The total duration of the data taken was from 24 years. The time duration was well enough for applying the A.R.D.L. approach to the time series data of the study. This research used the unit root test to know the presence of the unit root for each variable, the lag order selection was made for the data, the bounds cointegration test was also applied, and ARDL Model was used to know about the different effects. With the help of the results derived, it was observed that the impact of private sector investment on new venture creation is significant. In contrast, foreign direct investment and research and development (R&D) effects on new venture creation are insignificant. It was also observed from the results that the impact of R&D on industrialization in Russia is significant, while the effects of FDI and the impact of private sector investment on industrialization in Russia is insignificant. We have fund that the effect of FDI and the impact of private sector investment on the economic growth of Russia is significant. In contrast, the impact of R&D is insignificant to the economic growth of Russia. The study is of great significance as it has raised the importance of R&D for industrialization, FDI, and PSI for economic growth and new venture creation for developing countries.

Background: The economy is being lifted by the new concept of robotics, but we cannot be sure of all the possible benefits. At this early stage, it therefore becomes important to find out the possible benefits/limitations associated with robotics, so that the positives can be capitalized, established, and developed further for the employment and motivation of employees in the health care sector, for overall economic development. The negatives should also be further studied and mitigated. Methods: This study is an exploratory research, based on secondary data, such as books on topics related to robotics, websites, public websites of concerned departments for data and statistics, journals, newspapers and magazines, websites of health care providers, and different printed materials (brochures, etc). Results: The impact of robotics has both positive and negative impacts on the employment and motivation of employees in the retail sector. So far, there has been no substantial research done into robotics, especially in the health care sector. Conclusion: Replacing employees with robots is an inevitable choice for organizations in the service sector, more so in the health care sector because of the challenging and sometimes unhealthy working environments, but, at the same time, the researchers propose that it should be done in a manner that helps in improving the employment and motivation of employees in this sector.

본 연구는 산업연관분석을 통하여 국내 정보보호 제조 및 서비스 산업의 경제파급효과를 분석한 것이다. 분석 결과, 정보보호 제품의 생산유발계수는 전 산업 평균보다 크지만, 정보보호 서비스는 전 산업 평균을 크게 하회하는 것으로 나타났다. 반면, 부가가치유발계수 및 고용유발계수의 경우 정보보호 서비스는 전 산업 평균을 크게 상회하는데 반해, 정보보호 제품은 전 산업 평균에 미치지 못해 생산유발계수와 대조적인 결과를 보였다. 전ㆍ후방 연쇄효과는 정보보호 제품 및 서비스 모두 산업 평균보다 낮은 수준으로 나타났다. 그리고 정보보호 산업은 전반적으로 국민경제에 미치는 성장 기여도와 고용기여도가 미약한 것으로 나타났으며, 특히 정보보호 제품의 경우 고용기여도가 마이너스를 기록해 해당 부문의 고용증대를 위한 노력이 시급한 것으로 나타났다.

이 연구에서는 과거 임산업의 성장과정을 분석하고 임산업의 성장회계분석을 통하여 투입요소별 성장기여도를 분해한 후 향후 임산업의 잠재 성장률을 전망하였다. 이 연구에서 나타난 임산업의 성장요인 분석결과를 토대로 궁극적으로는 임산업의 지속적인 성장을 위한 방향을 제시하였다. 외환위기 이후 경제의 빠른 회복과 함께 우리나라 임산업은 2000년 이후 성장률이 안정되었다. 그러나 과거 임산업은 노동과 자본의 투입에 기초한 성장을 하였다면, 2000년 이후에는 임산업의 성장은 자본 투입의 증가에 의해 주도되었다. 성장회계분석을 통해 잠재 성장률을 추정한 결과, 2012년부터 2020년의 기간 동안 임산업 생산액 평균성장률은 1.65%이며, 이에 대한 노동과 자본, 총요소생산성의 기여도는 각각 0.08%, 1.58%, -0.01%로 나타났다. 또한 이러한 성장 추세를 따른다고 가정한다면 2020년 임산업 총생산액은 약 36.25조 원에 이를 것으로 기대된다.

광업에 의존하고 있는 개발도상국들에 있어 광업 부문에 외국인직접투자(FDI)를 유치하는 것은 지속적인 경제성장을 위한 중요한 요소가 되고 있다. 본 논문은 광업부분에서 외국인직접투자를 유인하는 결정요소들을 밝히는 것을 목표로 하고 있다. 기존의 개념적인 연구들에 기초하여 1996년부터 2009년까지의 40개 광업 국가들의 패널통계를 이용해 실증 분석하고 있다. 본 논문은 기존 논문들과 달리 광범위하고 포괄적인 변수들을 사용하고 있어 광업부문 외국인직접투자의 요소결정을 분석하는 최초의 의미 있는 실증분석이라 하겠다. 실증분석 결과 시장규모, 무역개방성, 광물의 품질, 기반시설의 수준, 규제의 정도와 국가의 경제적 위험도는 광업 분야 외국인직접투자의 유입과 정(正)의 관계를 보이고 있다. 이와 반대로 관세율, 법인세율, 부패수준과 정치적 불안정도는 광업 분야에 유입되는 외국인직접투자와 부(負)의 상관관계를 보이고 있다. 또한 일반적으로 개발도상국들이 선진국들보다는 광업 분야에 대한 외국인직접투자를 더욱 많이 끌어들이고 있는 것으로 나타났다.
