Fashion style in movies delivers their image the atmosphere and becomes the means for containing the personality, spiritual world and inner thinking the characters in the movies and including its plot. When the American new cinema emerged in late 1960's and early 1970's in the American movie history, the new left wing which wants to overturn adult generation and the hippie culture which wants to escape from an existing system also emerged. Therefore, this study analyzed the fashion style in the movie 'Easy Rider (1969)', i.e. the representative new American movie which showed the isolation from adult generation and negative realities of the American society. From the movie, we can understand the young generation after the Vietnam war, i.e. baby boom generation, pursued the hippie culture as their young culture. With their strong self-consciousness, they formed their own lifestyle and values which are different from those of adult generation, and we can understand clothes were used as a tool to express their value system.

Even in this current high-tech industrial age, mythological imagination is considered important. Although each mythology scattered all across the world may have an insignificant origin, to understand that particular society fully, one must not mistakenly assume that the mythology itself is a production of a primitive mind. Ultramodern physics and futurology professor Freeman Dyson has also acknowledged this opinion. He insists that in order for human kind to survive into the far future it most keep in touch with its far past. Levi-Strauss also observes that mythology and science aren't a entirely separate domains. The scientific mind is regarded as a source of understanding the intrinsic qualities of mythology. Taking mythology and science as a binomial opposition, and only weighing their prospects, should be put to the past as we should recognize the need for mythology and science's qualitative unification. In this new point of view, regarding mythology as a meaningless irrationality should cease, while finding out why the inevitably related world of mythology needs metaphoric, ideological consideration. By utilizing 'Whale Rider' by Witi Ihimaera(2004) we will discover why our lives require an 'image' that is borrowed from our experience. The author, Witi Ihimaera, is originally from the Maori tribe, who approaches the world with a mythological imagination, which is not easy to understand with scientific thinking nor in modern civilization. When looking into the mythology of the ocean which still lives in modern civilization, while noting that the world is one, the author indicates that reality and unreality, nature and the super-natural, present and the past, science and fantasy, were not divided from the beginning. However, overtime humans have divided the borders. To do this, the author interprets the ancient emotions of the Maori tribe which have been traditionally accumulated in the group identity in a new literary way by introducing the Maori tribe's ancestral god, Paikia, who can converse with the ocean and the whales. This piece, which has been made into a movie and won awards in 5 international film festivals, including the Toronto International Film Festival, regards primitive emotions as a rational concept instead of an instrumental concept. Also these primative emotions are continuing their attempts to communicate with nature. Furthermore, it advises contemporary human beings who seek for eternal life to not exploit the cultural differences that have been formed naturally, and it is vital for human beings to transcend the ethnic boundaries and to think rationally. In the story, we can find "the dissimilar us" that philosopher E. Levinas mentioned in his sayings, which refers to responsible human beings who devote their lives for the sake of other people instead of fulfilling their own needs.

The purpose of this research is to develop a safe and convenient wearable technology wear for bikers. For this, we studied the current usage of two-wheeled vehicles and have also researched the rate of accidents and its causes. We then used them along with previous studies in terms of visual perception as factors to decide the crucial elements of the riders' apparel. Case studies and the break down for the established prototypes for bikers were practiced as well. Based on this process, a survey was conducted to find out the needs of the bikers in the areas of both apparel and technology and then proceeded to produce the appropriate design and device modules. In the apparel sector, the result of the survey indicated that it was considerable that any digital devices were not shown to sustain a natural visible look. It also was essential that the materials were durable and made for safety and easy movement. In the digital function sector, it was significant that a motion input interface which will be embedded into the wear was needed to avoid any dangerous situations. This would ensure the safety of not only the rider but the surrounding riders as well. Lastly, protecting the rider's skin from any harmful elements was regarded necessary as well. Based on these requirements, a new prototype was created and will be tested if the requirements stated above are all met and will be evaluated according to the effectiveness of its functions.

장기간의 해양 모니터링을 위해서는 종합관측부이를 국산화하여 활용하는 것이 요구된다. 이런 요구에 부응하여 한국과 비슷한 여건의 대만 성공대학과 공동연구를 통해 종합관측부이 제작기술을 도입하여 이를 한국에서 효율적으로 해양 환경 모니터링에 활용할 수 있게 발전·개선시켰다. 부이의 크기는 육상 운반과 해상 설치에 편리하도록 직경 2.5m로, NOAA의 3.0m 부이보다 작다. 부이의 동적특성을 수치모델로 해석하였는데, 주기가 4초 이상의 파랑을 관측하는 데는 문제가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 부이의 관측 및 제어 시스템을 개선하여 더 많은 관측센서를 부착할 수 있고, 전원 소모량을 줄이고 또 자료의 분석 및 관리 기능을 높혔다. 이 논문에서는 개선된 종합관측부이의 각 구성부분을 자세히 설명하였다. 종합관측부이는 풍향, 풍속,기온, 습도, 기압 및 파랑 등 기존의 해양 기상 요소에다 수온, 염분, DO, pH 및 탁도 등 해양환경 요소를 첨가하였다. 원해에 설치된 부이로부터 실시간 자료 전송을 위해 Inmarsat 위성통신 시스템을 이용하였다. 개선 제작된 부이는 포항 앞바다에서 1개월 간의 시범 운영을 통하여 계류, 자료 송신에 대한 성능 실험과 파랑자료를 검증하기 위하여 네덜란드의 Datawell사의 Wave-rider부이와 동시 관측 실험을 수행하였는데, 좋은 결과를 얻었다.
