가교제 무첨가 PMMA 모르타르의 역학적 특성 (Mechanical Properties of PMMA Mortars without Crosslinking Agent)

  • This study deals with the mechanical properties of polymethyl methacrylate(PMMA) mortars without crosslinking agent. Waste expanded polystyrene(EPS) is used as a multifunctional admixture such as a thickener, a extender, a shrinkage reducing agent, a assistant to polymerization. PMMA mortars are prepared with various EPS contents of binder and subjected to a dry and a dry/heat combined curing, and tested for working life, flexural and compressive strengths. From the test results, the working life of PMMA mortars without crosslinking agent is shortened with raising EPS content of binder. The flexural and compressive strengths of the PMMA Mortars are decreased somewhat with increase in the EPS content. PMMA mortars with good mechanical properties could be manufactured without any crosslinking agent and their properties would be controled by adjusting EPS content of binder.

난연성 EPS 폐기물을 혼입한 경량기포 콘크리트의 물리적 특성 (Physical Properties of Lightweight Foamed Concrete with Flame Resistant EPS Waste)

  • 본 논문에서는 경량기포 콘크리트에 EPS 폐기물과 난연성 EPS 폐기물 보강재를 각각 혼입해 물성 특성을 연구하였다. 물시멘트비는 50%로 고정시켰으며 단위시멘트량은 300, $400kgf/m^3$으로 설정하였다. 독립기포용 기포제를 사용하였고, 희석농도는 10%로 설정하여 혼합하였다. 혼입률은 0, 10, 20, 30, 40%로 혼입하였으며, 선 기포 방식으로 제조하였다. 상기 배합조건 별로 제작된 경량기포 콘크리트 시험체의 겉보기 밀도, 휨강도, 열전도율 및 흡수율을 측정하고 분석하였다. 실험결과, 겉보기 밀도는 단위시멘트량에 관계없이 2~3% 내외의 차이를 보였고 각각 KS F 4039 겉보기 밀도의 0.5품, 0.6품을 만족시켰다. 휨강도는 압축강도를 통해 치환하여 압축강도 기준 0.4품, 0.5품, 0.6품을 만족 시켰으며, 열전도율은 난연성 EPS 폐기물 보다 EPS 폐기물이 보강재일 경우가 3~5% 정도 높게 나왔지만 두 보강재 모두 KS F 4039 0.4품 기준을 만족하였다. 흡수율 측면에서는 EPS 폐기물과 난연성 EPS 폐기물 보강재를 혼입한 경우 1~3%정도의 차이를 보였지만 모두 20%가 넘는 높은 수치를 보여 추가적인 보강재나 배합비가 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

  • The F3D(Free-Form Formwork 3D Printer) technology that manufactures EPS(Expanded Polystyrene) formworks for irregular-shaped concrete structures by 3D printers was developed to reduce the cost and time. Because of weak strength and low elastic modulus of the EPS, structural performance including lateral pressure by fresh concrete of the formwork that consisted of EPS should be investigated. In order to calculate lateral pressures acting on formwork, several variables including sizes, shapes of formwork, tangential force(fricition) between fresh concrete and formwork, and material properties of fresh concrete should be considered. However, current regulations have not considered the properties of concrete, only focused on vertical formwork. Galleo introduced 3-dimensional finite element analysis models to calculate lateral pressure on formwork. Thus, proposed finite element analysis model based on previous studies were verified for vertical formwork and irregular-shaped formwork. The test results were compared with those by FEM analysis. As a result, the test agrees well with the analysis.

진동차단공의 재료별 방진효과에 관한 해석적 연구 (Analytical Study on the Isolation Effects of Bore Holes by Materials)

  • 본 연구는 환경진동으로 유발되는 진동 대책 중 전파 경로상에 방진구나 방진벽 등과 같은 진동차단벽을 설치했을 경우 차단벽의 재료를 방진구, 콘크리트, EPS, 철로 변화시켜 유한요소해석을 수행하여 진동을 가장 효율적으로 저감시킬 수 있는 재료 및 차단벽의 규모(타설심도, 차단벽두께, 진원으로부터의 거리)에 대하여 연구하였다. 본 연구 결과 방진구의 경우는 차단벽의 두께의 영향보다는 차단벽의 타설심도에 영향이 크고, 콘크리트의 경우에는 다른 방진벽의 방진효과에 비해 방진효과가 떨어진다. 또한 EPS의 경우는 타설심도 보다는 차단벽두께의 영향이 진동차단에 더 효과적임을 알 수 있었다.

  • In recent days. it is necessary to find environment-friendly way of diposing industrial waste and reclying system. So this study will analyze the property of Porous concrete improved by concrete waste powder and recycled lightweight aggregate and then suggest the ways of reclying. The method deals with experimenting unit weight of capacity. thermal conductivity, compression and ultrasonic pluse velocity. Considering the relation between ultrasonic pluse velocity and unit weight & thermal conductivity through the graph. the result of relation between ultrasonic pluse velocity and unit weight & thermal conductivity on the graph expessed their high interaction shown as direct proportion on the graph. Recycled Porous concrete merits lightweight and adiabatic. Therefore. we will expect that the current using ALC and Recycled Porous concrete has be similar thermal conductivity.

  • CLC is used as a filling material for many buildings, and according to energy saving design standards, CLC also requires insulation performance. However, it shows lower insulation performance compared to organic insulation, so additional research is needed. Therefore, in this study, the insulation properties of CLC were analyzed by incorporating EPS beads with high insulation performance into CLC. In this experiment, EPS beads and blast furnace slag were replaced, and W/B was fixed at 33%. The EPS Bead mixing ratio was divided into 5 levels: 0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0 (%), and the experimental items were measured for apparent density and thermal conductivity. As a result of the experiment, the apparent density and thermal conductivity tended to decrease as the mixing ratio of EPS beads increased. It is judged that the density decreased due to the low density and the micropores inside, and the thermal conductivity also decreased.

  • Foamed concrete is a porous concrete that is cured by mixing bubbles into cement slurry. It is lighter than ordinary concrete and is characterized by higher insulation. Lightweight foamed concerte is mainly used as a sandwich panel in Korea, and is also used as a refractory filler in fireproof safes. Studies on lightwight foamed concrete have been carried out on strength,density and thermal conductivity. However, it is confirmed that the research on the fire resistance performance is very limited. Based on this study, fire resistance of lightweight foamed concrete using expanded polystyrene beads is investigated.

Experiments and numerical analyses for composite RC-EPS slabs

  • The paper presents experimental and numerical investigations of prefabricated composite structural building reinforced concrete slabs with the insulating material for a residential building construction. The building slabs were composed of concrete and expanded polystyrene. In experiments, the slabs in the full-scale 1:1 were subjected to vertical concentrated loads and failed along a diagonal shear crack. The experiments were numerically evaluated using the finite element method based on two different constitutive continuum models for concrete. First, an elasto-plastic model with the Drucker-Prager criterion defined in compression and with the Rankine criterion defined in tension was used. Second, a coupled elasto-plastic-damage formulation based on the strain equivalence hypothesis was used. In order to describe strain localization in concrete, both models were enhanced in the softening regime by a characteristic length of micro-structure by means of a non-local theory. Attention was paid to the formation of critical diagonal shear crack which was a failure precursor.

EPS의 압축성을 이용한 토압저감효과에 관한 연구 (Research on the Load Reduction Effect Using EPS)

  • 최근 30년간 EPS 블록은 전 세계적으로 그 사용량이 증가하고 있으며, 국내$.$외적으로 EPS 블록의 적용 분야가 확장되고 있는 추세에 있다. 그 대표적인 사례로 EPS 블록의 압축성에 따른 아칭효과를 이용한 옹벽, 교대, 매설관등 지반구조물에 작용하는 토압 저감 분야를 들 수 있다. EPS 블록은 경량성에 기인한 우수한 시공성과 밀도 변화에 따른 균질한 공학적 특성을 가지고 있으며, 또한 압축재로서 최적의 재료적 특성을 갖추고 있다. 일반적으로 EPS 블록은 밀도가 낮은 경우 동일한 하중 아래에서 보다 압축성이 우수한 경향을 보이나, 밀도가 10kg/$\textrm{m}^3$ 이하인 경우 발포 비드간 결합력이 약하여 쉽게 파괴되는 성질이 있으므로 지반공학적으로 이용할 때에는 10kg/$\textrm{m}^3$ 이상의 제품을 이용하는 것이 바람직한 것으로 알려져 있다. 본 연구에서는 지반구조물의 하중 저감을 위한 아칭재로서의 EPS 블록의 현장 적용성 평가를 위하여 콘크리트 옹벽과 콘크리트 박스 암거를 대상으로 현장시험시공을 수행하였으며, 현장시험시공 결과 아칭재인 EPS 블록을 사용할 경우 기존의 이론적인 토압에 비하여 콘크리트 옹벽의 경우 약 20% 정도, 콘크리트 박스 암거의 경우 약 45∼53% 정도인 것으로 평가되었다.

실란 커플링제를 첨가한 발포폴리스티렌 혼입 폴리메타크릴산 메틸 모르타르의 부착특성 (Bonding Properties of PMMA Mortars Using EPS with Silane Coupling Agent)

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate bonding properties of PMMA mortars using EPS with silane coupling agent. PMMA mortars are prepared with various silane coupling agent, and tested for flexural strength test, adhesion test in flexure and tensile strength in underwater and air. It is estimated that the application of silane coupling agent to PMMA mortar is more effective in underwater than air.
