밀리미터파 시스템용 초광대역 마이크로스트립-FGCPW 전이구조 설계 (Ultra-Wideband Microstrip-to-Finite Ground Coplanar Waveguide Transition for Millimeter-Wave Systems)

  • 본 논문에서는 초광대역의 마이크로스트립-FGCPW 전이구조 설계를 제안하였다. 제안한 전이구조는 바닥면 그라운드의 변화를 통해 전계 및 임피던스 정합을 구현하였다. 등각 사상을 이용하여 전이구조를 해석하여 닫힌 형태의 수식을 제안하였으며, 제안한 수식은 상용 EM 시뮬레이터와 3.3 % 오차 범위의 정확성을 가짐을 확인하였다. 제작된 전이구조는 9~40 GHz 이상의 대역에서 1 dB 이하의 손실과 10 dB 이상의 반사손실을 가짐을 확인하였다.

  • This paper presents design and performance validation of a method for motion compensation using fast steering mirror. First of all, the schematics of the Electro Optical/Infra-Red (EO/IR) and step-stare image gathering system for an aerial reconnaissance are introduced. Because of the steering mirror with low inertia so called Back scan mechanism (BSM), the fast step-stare image gathering technique that is required for taking a high-definition still image will be realized. After then, the BSM hardware includes motors and feedback sensors are introduced. Also, the motion profile for BSM will be designed to compensate roll scan motion of the gimbals. At the end of this paper, designed profile and tracking performance of the EO/IR system with BSM will be validated through experiments.

  • 본 연구에서는 기존 항공기 탑재 EO/IR 장비 내부 짐벌과 방진구를 스프링으로 대체하여, 외부 진동 감쇠 효과와 6자유도 구동이 가능한 내부 플랫폼 시스템을 분석하였다. 제안한 스프링 안정화 장치는 기계제작 스프링과 스프링 모듈, 스프링 모듈-내부 플랫폼 간 연결을 위한 지지 구조물로 구성된다. 본 연구에서는 모드 해석을 통해 스프링의 재질을 선정하였으며, 랜덤 진동 해석을 통해 스프링 안정화 장치의 구조 건전성을 분석하였다.

EO, PO가 부가된 도데실 에테르 황산화물의 합성 (Synthesis of Dodecyl Ether Sulfates Containing Various Ethylene Oxide and Isopropylene Oxide)

  • Dodecanol에 ethylene oxide(EO)와 isopropylene oxide(PO)를 각각 5, 10몰 씩 부가하고, EO 부가물에는 PO를 PO 부가물에는 EO를 또 다시 5, 10몰 씩 부가시킨 다음 클로로술폰산으로 황산화시켜 8종의 음이온계면활성제를 합성하였다. 8종의 sodium poly(oxyethylene, oxyisopropylene) dodecyl ether sulfate에 대한 EO 및 PO의 부가를 확인하기 위하여 고성능액체크로마토그래피, 프로톤핵자기공명스펙트럼, 히드록시기값, 적외선스펙트럼을 사용하였다. 그리고 황산화를 확인하기 위하여 스펙트라와 Epton법을 이용하여 EO 및 PO 분자수를 확인하였다. 이 결과 황산화 반응의 최종 생성물의 수율은 90~96%로써 비교적 높게 얻을 수 있었다.

Infrared Dual-field-of-view Optical System Design with Electro-Optic/Laser Common-aperture Optics

  • We report a midinfrared dual-field-of-view (FOV) optical system design for an airborne electro-optical targeting system. To achieve miniaturization and weight reduction of the system, it has a common aperture and fore-optics for three different spectral wavelength bands: an electro-optic (EO) band ($0.6{\sim}0.9{\mu}m$), a midinfrared (IR) band ($3.6{\sim}4.9{\mu}m$), and a designation laser wavelength ($1.064{\mu}m$). It is free to steer the line of sight by rotating the pitch and roll axes. Our design co-aligns the roll axis, and the line of sight therefore has a fixed entrance pupil position for all optical paths, unlike previously reported dual-FOV designs, which dispenses with image coregistration that is otherwise required. The fore-optics is essentially an achromatized, collimated beam reducer for all bands. Following the fore-optics, the bands are split into the dual-FOV IR path and the EO/laser path by a beam splitter. The subsequent dual-FOV IR path design consists of a zoom lens group and a relay lens group. The IR path with the fore-optics provides two stepwise FOVs ($1.50^{\circ}{\times}1.20^{\circ}$ to $5.40^{\circ}{\times}4.32^{\circ}$), due to the insertion of two Si lenses into the zoom lens group. The IR optical system is designed in such a way that the location and f-number (f/5.3) of the cold stop internally provided by the IR detector are maintained when changing the zoom. The design also satisfies several important performance requirements, including an on-axis modulation transfer function (MTF) that exceeds 10% at the Nyquist frequency of the IR detector pitch, with distortion of less than 2%.

  • This paper presents an inertia type of piezostack based active mount for unmanned aero vehicle (UAV) camera system. After identifying the stiffness and damping properties of the rubber element and piezostack a mechanical model of the active mount system is established. The governing equation of mount is them derived and expressed in a state space farm. Subsequently, a sliding mode controller which is robust to uncertain parameters is designed in order to reduce the vibration imposed according to the military specification associated with UAV camera mount system operation. Control performances such as acceleration and transmitted force are evaluated through both computer simulation and experimental implementation.

  • This paper proposes a design and development plan for a control program for the MX-10 EO/IR camera. This camera is a piece of mission equipment mounted on the multi-purpose unmanned helicopter (MPUH) system. Operators must be able to control the necessary functions of the camera to perform their assigned tasks. To achieve this, the function to control the camera was analyzed, and a control program was developed. In addition, the control program was linked to a joystick for convenient operation of the camera by the operator.

Antibacterial property of 4-hexylresorcinol incorporated in silk mat after sterilization

  • When 4-hexylresorcinol (4HR) incorporated silk mat is used for clinical application, sterilization process is essential. In this study, 4HR incorporated silk mat was sterilized with ethylene oxide (EO) gas or autoclave, and then antibacterial property was evaluated. For the examination of micro-structure after the sterilization, scanning electron microscopic (SEM) exam and Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy were also done. There was no gross difference after sterilization in SEM exam and FT-IR spectra. Antibacterial property of 4HR was also maintained after the sterilization. In conclusion, EO gas or autoclave did not damage the antibacterial property of 4HR in the silk mat.

  • A drone without attaching guns or bombs can be a dangerous weapon, since its motor speed is greater than 3000 rpm, which is similar to that of a mower powered by a LiPo battery. The anti-drone system is the only means of detecting and neutralizing drone attacks. Many defense companies around the world provide solutions using various types of equipment (for example, radar, cameras, jamming guns, and net guns). ETRI has also developed a Low-Altitude Drone Detection (LADD) system consisting of Ku-band radar and an Electro-Optical/Infra-Red (EO/IR) camera. In this paper, we summarize recent technical advances in anti-drone systems around the world and introduce the features and describe the performance of the LADD system.
