In the present study the effect of exercise on the conversion rate of ingested glucose to glycogen in the different types of hindlimb skeletal muscles in Sprague-Dawley male rats was studied. The amounts of synthetized glycogen from ingested glucose of fast-twitch white(WV), fast-twitch red(RV), mixed type of fast-twitch white and red(EDL), and slow-twitch(SOL) muscles were determined at 30 and 90 min. after ingestion of 25% glucose solution which contained $^{14}C$-glucose($2m{\ell}(1uCi)$/100gm B. W.)in control and exercise loaded rats. The result was summarized as follows : The about 55% at 30 min. and 70% at 90 min. after glucose ingestion were absorbed from gastrointestinal tract. This result shows no effects of exercise on absorption rate from gastrointestinal tract. The amount of synthetized glycogen of SOL from ingested glucose at 30 and 90 min. after glucose ingestion were highest, whether WV were lowest in hindlimb skeletal muscles in control and exercise loaded rats. In the exercise loaded rats, the amounts of synthetized glycogen of SOL, RV, and EDL at 90 min. after glucose ingestion was much higher than control rats, but not different in WV between exercise-loaded and control rats. At 30 min. after glucose ingestion, only SOL of exercise loaded rats was higher than control rats. In the control rat, the synthesis of glycogen was almost completed during initial 30 minutes. On the other hand, in the exercise loaded rat, except WV was opposite result of control rats, i. e., amounts of synthetized glycogen were major during late period. The amount of synthetized glycogen of liver at 30 and 90 min. after glucose ingestion in exercise loaded rats was higher than control rats. The rate of glycogen synthesis in control and exercise loaded rats were higher between 30-90 minute than initial 30 minute.

세계는 개방화되어 가고 있으며, 이에 따라 정보의 가치가 더욱 중요하게 되고 있다. 국가와 기업이 경쟁에서 살아남기 위해서 정보의 효율적인 관리와 공유, 그리고 가치 있는 정보로 가공하는 것이 필요하다. 이러한 환경에서 등장한 것이 EDI이다. XML/EDl는 전통적인 EDI의 단점을 해결하며 표준의 한가지 접근방법으로 개방적이고 사용자간의 상호 대화가 가능하며 객체지향적 이라는 특징을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 XML을 EDI에 도입함으로써 대규모의 전자 상거래의 자동화를 가능하게 하며 고비용, 저효율적인 EDI 문제점을 해결하는 XML을 활용한 EDI시스템의 설계 및 구현의 한 방안을 제시한다.

The EDL (Embedded DRAM and Logic) technologies with stack cell capacitors based on NO dielectric and Co-silicided source/drain junctions using a Ti capping material, were successfully implemented. The employed Co-silicided film exhibited junction leakage characteristics comparable to those of non-silicided junctions. Improved device characteristics without degradation of I/sub off/ was also achieved.

Objectives : This study was performed to investigate the effects of Pinelliae rhizoma on blood serum lipids and skeletal muscle fatty acid metabolism of obese Zucker rats. Methods : Experimental groups were divided into normal Zucker rats (lean control; non-treated), obese Zucker rats (fat control; non-treated) and Pinelliae rhizoma oral feeding obese Zucker rats (fat control; treated) for 6 separate experiments. Pinelliae rhizoma was investigated for effects on total body weight, serum glucose content, total cholesterol and triglyceride content, free fatty acid content, PPARalpha, CS and beta-HAD. Results : 1. Triglycerides in blood serum showed a greater decrease in the Pinellia rhizoma oral feeding group than the overweight control group. 2. PPARa showed a significant increase in the Pinelliae rhizoma oral feeding group over the overweight control group in skeletal muscles of SOL and EDL: as for protein FABPc, the Pinelliae rhizomaoral feeding group saw a greater significant increase than the overweight control group in the skeletal muscles of SOL. 3. CS activity showed a greater increase for the Pinelliae rhizoma oral feeding group than the overweight control group in EDL Conclusions : As the experiment's results show, Pinelliae rhizoma effectively decreased the weight and triglycerides of the obese mouse, and somewhat affects the fat oxidation in the skeletal muscles.

In this paper, we propose the design and implementation of a portable, extensible, and efficient performance visualization framework for high performance parallel program development. The framework adopts a layered architecture:consists of three independent layers instrumentation layer, trace interface layer and visualization layer. The instrumentation layer was constructed as an ECL which captures generated events, and the EDL/JPAL constitutes the trace interface layer to provide problem-oriented interfaces between visualization layer and instrumentation layer. Finally, the visualization layer was designed as plug-and-play style for easy elimination, addition and composition of various filters, views and view groups, The proposed performance visualization framework is expected to be used as an independent performance debugging and analysis tool and as a core component in an integrated parallel programming environment.

EDI는 기업과 기업간의 거래에서 종은 방법이지만 중소기업이나 소기업에서는 EDI의 도입이 기술적으로나 비용적으로 어려운 게 사실이다. 이 경우 ebXML을 이용하여 EDl를 대신할 수 있다. ebXML을 이용하여 B2B환경을 구축할 경우 ebXML문서를 서로 주고 받는데 메시징 서비스 엔진이 필요하게 된다. 본 연구에서는 ebXML기반의 B2B환경에서 활용할 수 있는 메시징 서비스 엔진을 설계하고 구현하였다. 또한 실제 ebXML메시지를 전송할 때 발생하는 오류를 해결하기 로그를 기록하여 분석할 수 있도록 개발하였다.

A numerical investigation is made of transient evolutionary prcocess of electroosmotic flow in a two-dimensional microchannel connected to a reservoir. The channel height is very small so that two electric double layers forming on the charged surfaces are overlapped. Transient transports of ions in the electrolyte solution are computed by integrating the Nernst-Planck equation together with the Poisson equation for electric potential. The numerical results illustrate that there are two distinct transient phases. The physical mechanisms and relevant time scales for the transient evolution are described.

인터넷을 통한 전자상거래가 실제화 되고 확산되고 있는 가운데 개인과 기업에서 요구사항은 더욱 다양화되고 보안의 구축이 필수 조건으로 요구되고 있다. 이러한 다양한 요구사항에 대한 효율적인 조작과 처리를 XML(extensible Walkup Language)을 통하여 해결하려는 시도가 이루어지고 있다. XML을 통한 전자상거래는 표준이 되어 가고 있으며 그 효율성은 전자상거래를 활성화시킴으로써 새로운 시장의 창출과 효율성 극대화하기 위한 활력소가 되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 B2Brl반 XML전자상거래 시스템을 구현하고 문서교환에 SSL과 XML표준에 기초한 전자서명(XML Digital Signature)시스템을 구축하므로써 인증과 보안을 고려한 XML/EDl 전자서명 시스템을 설계, 구현하였다.

Microfluidic chips such as lab-on-a-chip (LOC) include micro-channels for sample delivery, mixing, reaction, and separation. Pressure driven flow or electro-osmotic flow (EOF) has been usually employed to deliver bio-samples. Having some advantages of easy control, the flow characteristics of EOF in microchannels should be fully understood to effectively control the electro-osmotic pump for bio-sam-pie delivery. In this study, a micro PIV system with an epifluorescence inverted microscope and a cooled CCD was used to measure velocity fields of EOF in a glass microchannel and a PDMS microchannel. The EOF velocity fields were changed with respect to electric charge of seeding particles and microchannel materials used. The EOF has nearly uniform velocity distribution inside the microchannel when pressure gradient effect is negligible. The mean streamwise velocity is nearly proportional to the applied electric field. Glass microchannels give better repeatability in PIV results, compared with PDMS microchannels which are easy to fabricate and more suitable for PIV experiments.

전자상거래의 효율을 도모하기 위하여 사용되어졌던 XML/EDl이 WEB을 이장한 ebXML로 옮겨가고 있다. ebXML Registry/Repository를 의료망에 이용하면 완자의 수고를 덜 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 의료기술, 신장비 등을 거래 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 현재 각 병원에서 구축되어진 전산망을 전제로 ebXML Registry/Repository를 이용하여 두 병원 간에 문서교환, 신기술, 의료장비 거래를 가능하게 하고자 한다. 이를 위해서 ebXML을 분석하고 그에 맞는 ebXML Registry/Repository를 설계하였다. 인터넷을 기반으로 한 본 시스템은 별도의 소프트웨어나 프로세스를 강요하지 않는다. 그럼으로써 환자들의 수고를 덜고 비용을 줄이는데 기여한다.
