Evaluation of Thermal Comfort on Temperature Differences between Outdoor and Indoor Thermal Conditions in Summer (여름철 실내외 온도차에 따른 인체의 온열쾌적성 평가)

  • Purpose of this study is to clarify the evaluation of thermal comfort based on temperature differences between outdoor and indoor thermal conditions in summer. The experiments were performed to evaluate temperature difference between indoor and outdoor thermal conditions (29, 31, $33^{\circ}$) by physiological and psychological responses of human. According to physiological responses, TSV (thermal sensation vote) and CSV (comfort sensation vote) and psychological responses, ECG (electrocardiogram), MST (mean skin temperature) of human, it was clear that the optimum temperature difference is about $5^{\circ})\;and\;7^{\circ}$).

각성-졸림 과도기 생리신호 분석 연구

  • 졸음에 의한 순간적 과오는 자동차운전을 비롯한 각종 산업안전에 인명피해를 포함하는 치명적 손실 을 수반한다. 따라서 이분야에 대한 연구가 국내를 포함한 전세계에서 활발히 진행되어 상업화가 추진 중이다. 그러나 이러한 연구는 실용적 차원에서 주로 피부전기활동(Electrodermal Activity: EDA)과 눈 깜박임 등의 측정방법에 의존하고 있으며 졸음의 첫 지시치로서 중요하고 객관적인 각성-졸음 과도기 뇌파를 포함하는 수면 다원생리신호 측정에 관한 연구는 이 방법이 피험자에게 구속성을 주고 측정 자체가 까다로워서 현실적으로어려운 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 그 동안 Medilog SAC847 Polysomnography를 이용한 수면에 관련된 종합적 생리신호를 측정.분석 연구해온 경험을 토대로 정상적인 성인의 각성-졸음 과도기 생리신호특징으로서 뇌전도(Electroencephalogram:EEG), 턱 및 다리근전도(Electromyogram:EMG), 심전도( Electrocardiogram:ECG), 안전도(Electrooculogram:EOG) 등을 종합적으로 분석한 결과 졸음상태가 각성상 태에 비하여 EEG의 주파수는 감소하고, EMG와 ECG의 진폭은 줄어들고, EOG에서는 느린 안구운동의 특징을 갖는 것을 알 수 있었다.

  • Biomedical signals such as ECG, EMG, and EEG are extremely important in the diagnosis of patients. It is difficult to filter noise from these signals, and errors resulting from filtering can distort a biomedical signal. Existing systems have shown poor performance when complicated noise appears. Adaptive filtering is selected to contend with these defects. Existing adaptive filters can adjust the filter coefficient with the given filter order, but they can produce an unsuitable order in different environments. In order to solve this problem, an optimal adaptive filter with a dynamic structure was designed. Positive experimental results were obtained.

  • ECG consists of various waveforms of electric signals of heat. Datamining can be used for analyzing and classifying the waveforms. Conventional studies classifying electrocardiogram have problems like extraction of distorted characteristics, overfitting, etc. This study classifies electrocardiograms by using BP algorithm and SVM to solve the problems. As results, this study finds that SVM provides an effective prohibition of overfitting in neural networks and guarantees a sole global solution, showing excellence in generalization performance.

  • 현재 맥파(ECG; Electrocardiogram) 및 뇌파(EEG: electroencephalography)의 파형 분석기술은 다양하게 적용되고 있으니 이들을 종합적으로 활용한 개인용 건강서비스 개발은 아직 미비 한 상태이다. 본 논문에서는 측정대상자의 정신적 혹은 육체적 피로도를 나타내는 8가지의 지표로서 집중도, 전두엽 비대칭 정도, 좌우뇌 활성도 대칭 값, 알파파 및 베타파 훈련도 (이상은 뇌파 분석 결과), 스트레스 레벨, 심박 수, 자율신경균형도 (이상은 맥파 분석 결과)]를 개인에게 알려주는 생체정보기반 개인건강 관리 소프트웨어 시스템의 설계 및 개발 결과에 대하여 서술한다.

Frequency Responses of Ambulatory ECG Systems and Their Correction by a Compensation Circuit

  • Frequency responses of ambulatory electrocardiogram systems were measured. Phase shift was assessed by our improved Wagner's method. The characteristics of the systems were found much worse than that of ordinary ECG equipment both in gain and phase responses. The decay of -3dB in amplitude observed in 0.2Hz and the lead of 45 dog in phase was observed in 0.6Hz. In order to investigate which of these 2 responses play major role in generating false S -T deviation, mathe- matical filters were Composed in a computer and actual ECGs were fed. The false S-T deviation were found to be caused mostly by enormous lead in phase, and then, the compensation circuit to diminish the lead in phase was inserted in the commercial systemes. The compensated systems showed no false deviation in S-T segment.

  • This article develops a cost-effective and accurate measurement system for heart best intervals. The system is composed of an analog to digital (A/D) converter, an IBM personal computer (an 8088 microprocessor, an 8253-5 timer, an 8259A interrupt controller, and memories) and assembler programs for controlling these hardware components. An exponential smoothing algorithm effectively reduced noise effects from A/D converted electrocardiogram (ECG) signals influenced by 60 Hz alternating current (AC). The system can collect 15000 heart beat intervals with an 1/5400 second unit.

  • 본 연구는 심혈관계 질환 진단에 주고 사용되는 PTT 를 계산할 때 필요한 PPG 신호가 없을 경우 ECG 신호만을 사용하여 PTT 값을 예측하는 방법을 제안한다. MIMIC-I 데이터셋에서 2 채널 심전도 데이터와 광전용적맥파 데이터를 확보하여 제안하는 방법을 적용하였을 때, RMSE 0.07116 으로 예측하였다. 본 연구는 향후 단일 생체신호만 측정할 수 있는 제한된 상황에서 대안으로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

  • Even though the blood pressure is one of the most widely used index for the healthcare monitoring of hypertensive and normotensive persons, there is no non-intrusive measurement method which is commercialized until now. Pulse Arrival Time (PAT) is known that it has close relation with the systolic blood pressure (SBP) and arterial stiffness. In this study, SBP estimation methods by non-intrusive measurement of PAT are suggested. For the unconstrained measurement of PAT, the first method used the electrically non contact electrocardiogram (ENC-ECG) technique and the reflective type of Photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor on the computer mouse. In the second method, ENC-ECG and the air pressure sensor in the seat cushion on a chair were measured. The third method used ECG electrodes and PPG sensors on the toilet seat cover. The validation and regression analysis of the relationship of PAT and SBP are summarized. These methods have considerable errors to be used for all people. But these can be applied for each subject after the parameter customization within acceptable error. So, it is feasible for suggested methods to be used for monitoring of SBP in daily life in non-intrusive way when there is personal identification system of each subject.
