In order to investigate whether Eisenia bicyclis (EB) as a functional food material improves serum lipid status, supplementation of EB powder or EB extract to the high fat/cholesterol diet was tested in 6-week old male Sprague-Dawley rats for four weeks. In the first experiment, four kinds of seaweed powder -Eisenia bicyclis (EB), Undaria pinnatifida (Up), Laminaria japonica (LJ), and Ecklonia stolonifera (ES) were compared with alginic acid (ALG) as well as control. In the second experiment, EB water extract and EB ethanol extract and EB pill containing EB and LJ powder were compared with the EB powder. Amounts of dietary fiber contained in experimental diets were adjusted to provide 5% of diets. Serum total cholesterol was significantly lower only in rats fed LJ or EB powder, but HDL cholesterol was higher in rats fed UP, LJ, ES or EB powder. Ratios of HDL-/total cholesterol of all seaweed groups including ALG were significantly higher than that of the control group. Serum triglyceride was lower in LJ, EB nd ES powder groups than the control group. In comparison of EB extracts, triglyceride level was decreased in rats fed only EB water extract as compared to control rats, but HDL cholesterol was elevated with both water and ethanol extracts. Serum levels of total cholesterol, triglyceride were decreased and HDL cholesterol was increased by the EB pill. Serum levels of thiobarbituric acid-reactive substances were lower in rats fed ES powder, and EB powder, EB water extract or EB pill, as compared to the control rats. Supplementation of EB powder and EB pill reduced serum level of GOT and GPT, respectively, as compared to the control group. In conclusion, EB and EB pill improve serum lipid status and may be utilized as ingredient of functional foods for the purpose of improving serum lipid profile and inhibiting peroxidation of lipids.

As of an international standard in e-business domains, ebXML solutions are required to be tested and authenticated whether they can satisfy the conformance and interoperability requirements. In this paper, we design and implement the ebXML conformance and interoperability testing tools that observe the standard specification in conformity with ebXML Message Service v2.0, ebXML Registry Service v2.0 and ebXML CPP/A Y2.0. With this regard, our research would serve in building the verification and authentication service infrastructure for fitting standard ebXML e-business solutions with ebXML conformance and interoperability testing tools.

Recently, ebXML and Web Services are emerging as the XML-based electronic business frameworks. To provide a set of registry services which users or applications can store and search the business information, ebXML and Web Services use ebXML registry and UDDI registry, respectively. They use the different registries each other, but there are something that similiar to the structure and functions of both of registries. In this paper, we analyze the similarity of ebXML Registry Information Model(RIM) and UDDI data structure, and construct the mapping information. So, we design and implement the UDDI Service Middleware which translates the request of UDDI registry service into the request of ebXML registry service using the algorithm. Consequently, we could use the ebXML registry like ebXML registry as well as UDDI registry without any changes in the ebXML registry itself so that we can not need to have both of registries for e-business.

국제 전자거래 표준 언어인 ebXML은 비즈니스 프로세스의 모델링과 구현이 독립되어 있다. 특히 ebXML의 비즈니스 프로세스 구현 언어는 UML (Unified Modeling Language)기반의 BPSS (Business Process Specification Schema)에서 BPMN (Business Process Modeling Notation)기반의 ebBP (ebXML Business Process Specification Schema)로 변경되었다. ebXML은 단일화된 e-비즈니스 시장의 형성을 목표로 하고 있다. 따라서 ebBP가 비즈니스 프로세스 모델링으로 표현되는 다양한 업무 흐름을 지원 할 수 있는지 ebBP의 코레오그라피(Choreography) 표현 능력을 평가하는 것은 중요한 문제이다. 본 논문에서는 ebBP의 표현력을 워크플로우 패턴 입장에서 기존의 BPSS와 비교한다. 이 분석을 토대로 비즈니스 프로세스 모델에서 ebBP로 변환하는 방법을 제시한다.

A concern about the ebXML concentrated, the necessity for Validation request among the ebXML sollutions has become both at home and abroad. There aren't any test implement for Validation of BPSS. The ebXML BPSS system establishment related to ebMS Standard Conformance and Interoperability is required. In this paper, We'll suggest system model to estimate Conformance of document in accordance with case items to frame the ebXML BPSS Validation items.

ebXML is a global electronic business standard that is sponsored by UN/CEFACT and OASIS. ebXML is an open XML-based infrastructure enabling the global use of electronic business information in an interoperable, secure and consistent manner by all parties. ebXML Registry provides a stable store where the business information submitted by partners is made persistent and a set of registry services that enable clients of the Registry to access them. These services are tied to the structures defined in ebXML Registry Information Model(ebRIM), so we need a way to process them according to underlying database systems. In this paper, we present the result of developing the ebXML Registry Server based on Relational Database Systems.

ebXML(Electronic Business XML) is a global eBusiness framework standard which provides solutions to interoperability problem between heterogeneous eBusiness systems. ebXML framework includes Business Process Specification, Core Components, Registry/Repository and Messaging Service as its major components. Based on this framework, ebXML business transactions are executed by exchanging appropriate business documents as specified in Business Process Specification. And required business documents are generated by assembling Core Components at the Business Process design time. In this paper, we present technical architecture of ebXML framework and Core Component technology, and then explain design and implementation issues of ebXML business document generation tool.

Interest in conformance and the issues related to conformance and interoperability testing in ebXML products are rapidly gaining momentum among standards developers, implementers, and users. The goal is to obtain implementations of the standard that correctly perform the functionality specified in the standard. Conformance testing helps to achieve correct implementation. In this paper, we design and implement the CPP(Collaboration Protocol Profile)/CPA(Collaboration Protocol Agreement) and registry for ebXML conformance and interoperability testing tools that observe the standard specification in conformity with ebXML Message Service v2.0, ebXML Registry Service v2.0 and ebXML CPP/A v2.0.
