A study on Support System for Standard Korean Language of e-Learning Contents (e-Learning 콘텐츠의 남북한 표준언어 지원시스템 연구)

  • In this paper, we studied on the effective structure of an e-Learning Korean Support System for foreigner based on computer systems which is to obey the rules of IMS/AICC International Standard regulations based on LCMS and SCORM. The most important task on this study is to support the function of self-study module through the review of the analysis and results of Korean learning and learning customs. We studied the effective PMS detail modules as well as the Standard Competency Module Management System, which related to LMS/LCMS, Learning an Individual Competency Management System, Competency Registry/Repository System, Knowledge Management System based on Community Competency Module, Education e-survey System and Module learning Support Service System. We suggested one of standard Effective Model of learning Korean Support System which is adopted in a various techniques for foreigner.

  • e-learning which is beyond time and space restrictions as a new education tool, has been practically used in many fields in order to support instrument or displacement for traditional education. This research shows that the survey on the significance and the effect of e-learning to teachers who have experience in e-learning through the internet compared with effect of tradition education. Furthermore, we investigate variable factors affecting on effect of e-learning, the correlation of factors and coefficient of correlation between factors associated with effects of e-learning based on the results of our survey.

  • As e-learning studying is activated, learner's requirement increased. Therefore, need correct e-learning model augmented requirement of learner and new ubiquitous surrounding. In this treatise when, proposed to supplement studying contents relationship conversion service and cooperation studying service function to LMS that analyze existing e-learning model's limitation for ubiquitous environment e-learning model that can study regardless of, ubiquitously some contents and do based on SCORM ubiquitous-network and next generation sensor technology etc. Learning form conversion service senses a learner's surrounding situations and recognize his/her body condition using smart sensor technology and provides the learner with contents in the optimal form. Using sensing projects like Orestia and SOB, users can more effective collaborative learning service.

  • The present paper examines the effect of "community of learning" factors as well as learning and contextual factors on the e-learning performance empirically. The concept of community of learning, which was derived from community of practice, has not been emphasized in previous studies on e-learning. Data were collected from 226 people who had experienced e-learning and multiple regression analysis was used to analyze the data. The results are as follows; First, learning motivation and appropriateness of learning contents, ease of system use, and knowledge sharing have a positive effect on learner's satisfaction. Whereas, learning motivation, appropriateness of learning contents, ease of system use, knowledge sharing, and activated communication are appeared to affect the ability of performing tasks significantly.

  • In e-learning industry which represents the convergence of IT and education, the standard of e-learning content development cost has been calculated according to the guideline or standard of existing similar industries without considering the characteristics of the industry until today. The absence of contents development cost standard related to e-learning has been recognized as one of the most difficulties in e-learning industry. The calculation of the content development cost without reflecting the characteristics of e-learning industry has bad effects such as the degradation of content quality and development of e-learning industry, and the growth obstruction of them. This paper suggest a standard of development cost for e-learning content development considering the characteristics of e-learning industry. We analyse current problems and the characteristics in e-learning industry, and define the development cost standard. We propose the methodology for developing e-learning industry and for contributing quality improvement of e-learning content.

  • With the development of information communication and network technologies, ubiquitous era that supports various services regardless of places and time has been advancing. The development of such technologies have a great influence on educational environments. As a result, e-learning concepts that learners use learning contents in anywhere and anytime have been proposed. The various learning contents authoring systems that consider the e-learning environments have also been developed. However, since most of the existing authoring systems support only PC environments, they is not suitable for various ubiquitous mobile devices. In this paper, we design and implement a contents authoring system based on learning activities for u-learning environments. Our authoring system significantly improves the efficiency for authoring contents and supports various ubiquitous devices as well as PCs.

Applying SCORM to Game Based Learning Contents (SCORM 적용 게임기반학습 콘텐츠 개발)

  • ADL SCORM(Sharable Content Object Reference Model) has been widely accepted as a global reference model for standardizing e-learning technology, and SCORM 2004 4th Edition, a stable version of SCORM, gives content developers the efficient way to build interoperable and reusable e-learning contents. Recently, a number of research efforts have been taken to build on-line SCORM contents based on some traditional training or learning styles. However, they have lacked for supporting more sophisticated learning style such as game based learning, and especially they do not consider employing the specific components of SCORM model for developing game based learning contents in practice. In this work, we elicit some SCORM data elements that is useful for representing game run-time data, and apply those elements to SCORM sequencing of game based learning SCOs(Sharable Content Objects). We thus present the whole procedure of developing SCORM game based learning contents with a sample contents.

  • As Web technology and functions have recently changed to a user-focused paradigm, new studies are being conducted to construct dynamic learning content that enables the learner's participation and continuous learning in the field of e-learning research and design. This paper covers a study on the degree of difficulty in learner-focused dynamic learning contents to provide efficient learning environments for its adaptation to e-learning 2.0. This study suggests DLA (Dynamic Level Adjustment) to provide learner-focused contents. The suggested system will be a guideline to control and adopt learning content that can be easily applied to the environmental change, and more in-depth future research can be performed by using the system. A dynamic learning content model was made to recognize various learning patterns of learners as a result of the performance evaluation.

  • This paper suggests an e-learning system model, a goal-driven personalized e-learning system, which increase the effectiveness of learning. An e-learning system following this model makes the learner choose the learning goal. The learner's choice would lead learning. Therefore, the system enables a personalized adaptive learning, which will raise the effectiveness of learning. Moreover, this paper proposes a SCORM standard, which modifies SCORM 2004 that has been insufficient to implement the "goal driven personalized e-learning system." We add a data model representing the goal that motivates learning, and propose a standard for statistics on learning objects usage. We propose each standard for contents model and sequencing information model which are parts of "goal driven personalized e-learning system." We also propose that manifest file should be added for the standard for contents model, and the file which represents the information of hierarchical structure and general learning paths should be added for the standard for sequencing information model. As a result, the system could sequence and search learning objects. We proposed an e-learning system and modified SCORM standards by considering the many factors of adaptive learning. We expect that the system enables us to optimally design personalized e-learning system.

  • Contents application from contents development of web technical base and with the operation different environment information of the educational resources integration the importance and necessity of the management central chain e-Learning system will be able to operate are raising its head with base. Is the actual condition which develops the development process where but, the education application currently is not standardized in base. Approaches with an educational domain from the present paper consequently, and defines MDA(Model Driven Architecture) coats e-Learning System. Also uses a studying contents standard metadata and about the contents storage space analyzes and plans the core property which uses MDA automatic tools leads and under developing boil e-Learning System will be able to provide the contents which does in actual professor own necessity.
