In this paper, a new modified conjugate gradient (MCG) method is presented which is based on a new gradient regularizer, and this method is used to identify the dynamic load on airfoil structure without and with considering random structure parameters. First of all, the newly proposed algorithm is proved to be efficient and convergent through the rigorous mathematics theory and the numerical results of determinate dynamic load identification. Secondly, using the perturbation method, we transform uncertain inverse problem about force reconstruction into determinate load identification problem. Lastly, the statistical characteristics of identified load are evaluated by statistical methods. Especially, this newly proposed approach has successfully solved determinate and uncertain inverse problems about dynamic load identification. Numerical simulations validate that the newly developed method in this paper is feasible and stable in solving load identification problems without and with considering random structure parameters. Additionally, it also shows that most of the observation error of the proposed algorithm in solving dynamic load identification of deterministic and random structure is respectively within 11.13%, 20%.

The maritime industry is expanding at an alarming rate hence there is a perpetual need to improve situation awareness in the maritime environment using new and emerging technology. Tracking is one of the numerous ways of enhancing situation awareness by providing information that may be useful to the operator. The tracking module designed herein comprises determining existing states of high dynamic target warship, state prediction and state compensation due to random noise. This is achieved by first analyzing the process of tracking followed by design of a tracking algorithm that uses ${\alpha}-{\beta}-{\gamma}$ tracking filter under a random noise. The algorithm involves initializing the state parameters which include position, velocity, acceleration and the course. This is then followed by state prediction at each time interval. A weighted difference of the observed and predicted state values at the $n^{th}$ observation is added to the predicted state to obtain the smoothed (filtered) state. This estimation is subsequently employed to determine the predicted state in the next radar scan. The filtering coefficients ${\alpha}$, ${\beta}$ and ${\gamma}$ are determined from a pre-determined value of the damping parameter, ${\xi}$. The smoothed, predicted and the observed positions are used to compute the twice distance root mean square (2drms) error as a measure of the ability of the tracking module to manage the noise to acceptable levels.

A modulation transfer function(MTF) tree is established to estimate the overall MTF of an observation satellite and to analyze the image performance. Basic MTF models relevant to each MTF tree component are represented as mathematical relationship between optics-structural dynamics, thermal deformation, attitude and dynamic characteristics of a satellite and the effects due to the space environment. The Basic MTF models consist of diffraction limited MTF with central obscuration, aberration, defocus, line-of-sight(LOS) jitter, linear motion, detector integration, and so forth. Performance estimation is demonstrated for a virtual earth-observation satellite in order to validate the constructed modeling method. The proposed models enable the system engineers to calculate the overall system MTF and to determine the crucial design parameters that affect the image performance in the conceptual design phase of an observation satellite.

PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of action observational physical training with rhythmic auditory stimulation on muscle activity and gait ability in patients with stroke. METHODS: Twenty-six chronic stroke patients participated in this study were assigned into three groups, experimental group 1 (10% faster tempo rhythmic auditory stimulation with action observation training) n=8, experimental group 2 (average tempo rhythmic auditory stimulation with action observation training) n=9, and control group (action observation training) n=9. In this experiment, the corresponding exercise were applied into the subjects of three group for 30 minute a day, 3 time a week during 4 weeks. All participants were measured to muscle activity of lower limb, 10 meter walking test, Figure of 8 walk test, Dynamic gait Index. The collected data were analyzed by using SPSS (version 18.0 for window) and verified that each data was a normal distribution based on Shapiro-Wilk test. Between-group and within-group comparison was analyzed by using One-way ANOVA test, Paired t-test respectively. In all statistical analyses, significance level, ${\alpha}$ was set by .05. RESULTS: The above results revealed that the all experimental group 1 and experimental group 2 and control group were all effective to improve the lower limb muscle activities, gait ability. However more positive effects shown action observational physical training with rhythmic auditory stimulation experimental group. CONCLUSION: This study suggest that action observation physical training with rhythmic auditory stimulation is effective intervention for improvement of muscle activity and walking ability in chronic stroke patients.
Many tower-supported steel stacks have been constructed in Japan, primarily for economic reasons. However the dynamic behavior of these stacks under a strong wind is not well known and the wind load design standard for this type of a stack has not yet been formulated. In light of this situation, we carried out wind response observation of an operating tower-supported steel stack with and without a tuned-mass damper. The observation revealed the performance of the tuned-mass damper installed on the stack in order to control the wind-induced vibration. Based on the observed data, we performed a wind tunnel test of a specimen of the stack. In this paper we report the results of the wind tunnel test and some comparisons with the results of observation. Our findings are as follows: 1) the tuned-mass damper installed on the specimen in the wind tunnel test worked as well as the one on the observed stack, 2) the amplitude of the vortex-induced vibration of the specimen corresponded approximately to that of the observed stack, and 3) correlation between Scruton number and reduced amplitude, y/d, (y is amplitude, d is diameter) was confirmed by both the wind tunnel test and the observed results.

In order to incorporate correctly the large or local scale circulation in an atmospheric model, a nudging term is introduced into the equation of motion. The MM5 model was used to assess the meteorological values differences in each case, during ozone episode days in Gwangyang bay. The main objective of this study is to investigate the effect of horizontal and vertical flow fields according to the surface and vertical observation data assimilation by upper wind conditions. Therefore, we carried out several numerical experiments with various parameterization methods for nudging coefficient considering the upper wind conditions (synoptic or asynoptic condition). Nudging considering the synoptic and asynoptic nudging coefficient does have a clear advantage over dynamic initialization, therefore appropriate limitation of these nudging coefficient values on its upper wind conditions is necessary before making an assessment. Obviously, under the weak synoptic wind, there was apparent advantage associated with nudging coefficient by the regional difference. The accuracy for the prediction of the meteorological values has been improved by applying the appropriate PBL (Planetary Boundary Layer) limitation of circulation.
Objective : The region, observation period, figuration of pulse, pulse frequency, process of diagnosis and related diagnostic methods in traditional pediatric pulse diagnosis were studied in this article. Method : The articles related to traditional pediatric pulse diagnosis in Traditional medical classics, and analysis to the characteristics of it was done, then lastly, the principle of pulse manifestation and the meaning of application to modern times were considered. Result & Conclusion : It is difficult to catch the figuration of pediatric pulse because of dynamic change of body conditions, fast heartbeat and narrow region of pulse. Therefore, the pulse diagnosis appropriated for children have been developed and combined with the special diagnosis methods, for example, palpation of forehead and observation of index finger. The traditional pediatric pulse diagnosis is done with just one finger palpation in the period of 3 to 5 years old to identify the speed, length, size and height of pulse. The standard average of pulse frequency is 7~8 par breath in the period of 3 to 5 years old according to traditional medical classic.

This paper is proposed a novel fuzzy disturbance observer based on backstepping method for nonlinear systems with unknown disturbance. Using fuzzy logic systems, a fuzzy disturbance observer with the disturbance observation input is introduced for unknown disturbance. To guarantee that the proposed disturbance observer estimates the unknown disturbance, the disturbance observation error dynamic system is employed. Under the framework of the backstepping design, the fuzzy disturbance observer is constructed recursively and an adaptive laws and the disturbance observation input are derived. Numerical examples are given to demonstrate the validity of our proposed disturbance observer for nonlinear systems.

Dynamic responses of the bridge for a straddle-type monorail subjected to the ground motion of high probability to occur are investigated by means of a three-dimensional traffic-induced vibration analysis to clarify the effect of a train's dynamic system on seismic responses of a monorail bridge. A 15DOFs model is assumed for a car in the monorail train. The validity of developed equations of motion for a monorail train-bridge interaction system is verified by comparison with the field-test data. The inertia effect due to a ground motion is combined with the monorail train-bridge interaction system to investigate the seismic response of the monorail bridge under a moving train. An interesting result is that the dynamic system of the train on monorail bridges can act as a damper during earthquakes. The observation of numerical results also points out that the damper effect due to the dynamic system of the monorail train tends to decrease with increasing speed of the train.

In this study, a dynamic camera actuation system for simultaneous in situ image acquisition is developed to achieve real-time observation of transient liquid flow on a lab-on-a-disk. A disk-type electric circuit, namely circuit-on-a-disk, co-rotated with the lab-on-a-disk improves the dynamic image acquisition ability in terms of a frame rate. The circuit-on-a-disk is comprised of a camera connected with a motor, a microprocessor and a wireless communication module. The camera connected with the motor enables to realize dynamic tracking of a transient flow and real-time image acquisition. The obtained images can be simultaneously transferred by a video/audio transmitter unit to a personal computer. Also, the microprocessor receives signals from the personal computer, and then controls the focusing position of the camera. We are expecting that heaters, sensors, and light sources also can be integrated on the circuit-on-a-disk, and they will enable various functional actuations as well as precise image acquisition.
