A Circle Labeling Scheme without Re-labeling for Dynamically Updatable XML Data (동적으로 갱신가능한 XML 데이터에서 레이블 재작성하지 않는 원형 레이블링 방법)

  • XML has become the new standard for storing, exchanging, and publishing of data over both the internet and the ubiquitous data stream environment. As demand for efficiency in handling XML document grows, labeling scheme has become an important topic in data storage. Recently proposed labeling schemes reflect the dynamic XML environment, which itself provides motivation for the discovery of an efficient labeling scheme. However, previous proposed labeling schemes have several problems: 1) An insertion of a new node into the XML document triggers re-labeling of pre-existing nodes. 2) They need larger memory space to store total label. etc. In this paper, we introduce a new labeling scheme called a Circle Labeling Scheme. In CLS, XML documents are represented in a circular form, and efficient storage of labels is supported by the use of concepts Rotation Number and Parent Circle/Child Circle. The concept of Radius is applied to support inclusion of new nodes at arbitrary positions in the tree. This eliminates the need for re-labeling existing nodes and the need to increase label length, and mitigates conflict with existing labels. A detailed experimental study demonstrates efficiency of CLS.

An XML-based Content Management System supporting Dynamic Content Caching (동적 컨텐츠 캐싱을 지원하는 XML 기반의 컨텐츠 관리 시스템의 구현)

  • In this paper, We describe the XML-based Web content management system that supports the efficient dynamic content publishing environment. EasyCM is designed based on Cocoon2 that is the XML publishing framework. We propose the publishing mechanism to support the efficient dynamic content publishing environment to expand into the available dynamic content caching to Cocoon2. Publishing mechanism of EasyCM draws XML object from content repository, associates XML with XSLT, creates and caches content components preprocessing HTML transformation process, and publish web pages constructed into cached content component. For supporting more efficient caching, EasyCM supports also content component update, two update method that is immediately-update and delay-update for updated content component.

  • Even the document resources offered from web server can be represented in the form of URL/URI, it can not necessarily be guaranteed that corresponding resources exist due to a dynamic change of sewer environment In this paper, integrated document administration system is therefore proposed and modeled using the XML-RPC technology which guarantees the reliance of resources, and handles a dynamic server resource management and request of clients. The proposed system is composed of middleware and server systems. The former system manages dynamic server resources, and the latter reports the updated information of documentations stored in server by client from the server to middleware system. As a result, effective storing management of dynamic resource in distributed server could be archived and building cost of a new web server could be reduced due to an applicability to current web sewer. In addition platform independent and efficient data management was obtained by using the XML-RPC protocol.

Efficient Access Control Labeling for Secure Query Processing on Dynamic XML Data Streams (동적 XML 데이타 스트링의 안전한 질의 처리를 위한 효율적인 접근제어 레이블링)

  • Recently, the needs for an efficient and secure access control method of dynamic XML data in a ubiquitous data streams environment have become an active research area. In this paper, we proposed an improved role-based prime number labeling scheme for an efficient and secure access control labeling method in dynamic XML data streams. And we point out the limitations of existing access control and labeling schemes for XML data assuming that documents are frequently updated. The improved labeling method where labels are encoded ancestor-descendant and sibling relationships between nodes but need not to be regenerated when the document is updated. Our improved role-based prime number labeling scheme supports an infinite number of updates and guarantees the arbitrary nodes insertion at arbitrary position of the XML tree without label collisions. Also we implemented an efficient access control using a role-based prime number labeling. Finally, we have shown that our approach is an efficient and secure through experiments.

  • The progress of information technology triggered the rapid progress of tourism industry and the industry has now grown to be the biggest and the highest value added producing industry. Tourism industry is characterized by its high information dependency and is subject to the frequent changes of schedule. Therefore, dynamic cooperations between the service provider and the service agent is essential. One of the latest trend in information technology is the popular adoption of XML as the standard means of document exchange in the internet environment. This paper proposes a supply chain management system which enhances the productivity and customer satisfaction in the tourism industry by exploiting the exchange of information in XML among the tourism society, which consists of the producer, the agents, and the consumer. This Paper is especially addressed to the applicability of e-SCM for the productivity enhancement in the tourism industry, which is known as the leading service industry in the internet environment.

But, it became easy that make standard of information by XML's entrance on the stage that have advantages of SGML and HTML Specially, it is very suitable that electronic commerce inflects XML as field that heterogeneous system exists and standardization is required urgently. That is, XML is big advantage in side that make out side that is and normalized document because store information in standard form that is applied well under heterogeneous system environment because do web environment by basis interface and can be used efficiently to transmit. Treatise that see hereupon could assume beforehand in browser control using XSLT. And using dynamic DLL XML catalogue edit system design and implementation.

  • As XML is becoming a standard for representation and exchange of abundant information on the Web, solutions for a secure and selective dissemination of XML data, known as SDI, are strongly demanded. Such trends are more outstanding especially in distributed heterogeneous environment such as Peer-to-Peer. Although many approaches have been proposed to provide secure and efficient SDI mechanisms, almost previous approaches have focused only on filtering with user profile and they adopt center-oriented administration approaches. It is therefore difficult to adapt them directly to the distributed Peer-to-Peer environments characterized by dynamic participation. In this paper, we develop a novel dissemination method, which makesuse of authorization policy and secret sharing scheme. It provides more secure, scalable means for XML dissemination on Peer-to-Peer networks.

  • The macro-parametric approach, which is a method of CAD model exchange, has recently been proposed. CAD models can be exchanged in the form of a macro file, which is a sequence of modeling commands. As an event-driven commands set, the standard macro file can transfer design intents such as parameters, features and constraints. Moreover it is suitable for the network environment because the standard macro commands are open, explicit, and the data size is small. This paper introduces the concept of the macro-parametric method and proposes its representation using XML technology. Representing the macro-parametric data using XML allows managing vast amount of dynamic contents, Web-enabled distributed applications, and inherent characteristic of structure and validation.

  • Recent studies on XML filtering assume that all data sources follow a single global schema defined in a filtering system. However, beyond this simple assumption, a filtering system can provide a service that allows data publishers to have their own schema; hence, the data sources will become heterogeneous. The number of data sources is expected to be large in a filtering system and the data sources are frequently published, updated, and disappeared, that is, dynamic. In this paper, we introduce implementing a simple and efficient XPath query translation method for such a dynamic environment. The method is especially targeted for a query which is composed based only on users' knowledge and experience without a graphical guidance of the global schema. When a user queries a large number of heterogeneous data, there is a high possibility that the query is not consistent with the same local schema assumed by the user. Our query translation method also supports a function for this problem. Some experimental results for query translation performance have shown that our method has reasonable performance, and is more practical than the existing method.

  • XML is situating a standard fur data exchange in the Web. Most applications use database to manage XML documents of high-capacity efficiently. Therefore, most applications create label that expresses structure information of XML data and stores with information of XML document. A number of labeling schemes have been designed to label the element nodes such that the relationships between nodes can be easily determined by comparing their labels. With the increased popularity of XML data on the web, finding a labeling scheme that is able to support order-sensitive queries in the presence of dynamic updates becomes urgent. XML documents that most applications use have many properties as their application. So, in the thesis, we present the most efficient updating methods dependent on properties of XML documents in practical application by choosing a representative labeling method and applying these properties. The result of our test is based on XML data management system, so it expect not only used directly in practical application, but a standard to select the most proper methods for environment of application to develop a new exclusive XML database or use XML.
