한국어 단독 숫자음 인식을 위한 DTW 알고리즘의 비교 (Comparison of the Dynamic Time Warping Algorithm for Spoken Korean Isolated Digits Recognition)

  • This paper analysis the Dynamic Time Warping algorithms for time normalization of speech pattern and discusses the Dynamic Programming algorithm for spoken Korean isolated digits recognition. In the DP matching, feature vectors of the reference and test pattern are consisted of first three formant frequencies extracted by power spectrum density estimation algorithm of the ARMA model. The major differences in the various DTW algorithms include the global path constrains, the local continuity constraints on the path, and the distance weighting/normalization used to give the overall minimum distance. The performance criterias to evaluate these DP algorithms are memory requirement, speed of implementation, and recognition accuracy.

  • In this paper, we proposed color stereo matching algorithm using dynamic programming. The conventional gray stereo matching algorithms show blur at depth discontinuities and non-existence of matching pixel in occlusion lesions. Also it accompanies matching error by lack of matching information in the untextured region. This paper defines new cost function makes up for the problems happening in conventional gray stereo matching algorithm. New cost function contain the following properties. I) Edge points are corresponded to edge points. ii) Non-edge points are corresponded to non-edge points. iii) In case of exiting the amount of edges, the cost function has some weight in proportion to path distance. Proposed algorithm was applied in various images obtained by parallel camera model. As the result, proposed algorithm showed improved performance in the aspect of matching error and processing in the occlusion region compared to conventional gray stereo matching algorithms.

A control allocation sterategy based on multi-parametric quadratic programming algorithm

  • Control allocation is an important part of a system. It implements the function that map the desired command forces from the controller into the commands of the different actuators. In this paper, the authors present an approach for solving constrained control allocation problem in vessel system by using multi-parametric quadratic programming (mp-QP) algorithm. The goal of mp-QP algorithm applied in this study is to compute a solution to minimize a quadratic performance index subject to linear equality and inequality constraints. The solution can be pre-computed off-line in the explicit form of a piecewise linear (PWL) function of the generalized forces and constrains. The efficiency of mp-QP approach is evaluated through a dynamic positioning simulation for a vessel by using four tugboats with constraints about limited pushing forces and found to work well.

  • This paper presents an algorithm capable of detecting free space for the autonomous vehicle navigation. The algorithm consists of two main steps: 1) estimation of longitudinal profile of road, 2) detection of free space. The estimation of longitudinal profile of road is detection of v-line in v-disparity image which is corresponded to road slope, using v-disparity image and hough transform, Dijkstra algorithm. To detect free space, we detect u-line in u-disparity image which is a boundary line between free space and obstacle's region, using u-disparity image and dynamic programming. Free space is decided by detected v-line and u-line. The proposed algorithm is proven to be successful through experiments under various traffic scenarios.

  • A fast optimal path planning algorithm using the analog Cellular Nonlinear Circuits (CNC) is proposed. The proposed algorithm compute the optimal path using subgoal-based dynamic programming algorithm. In the algorithm, the optimal paths are computed regardless of the distance between the initial and the goal position. It begins to find subgoals starting from the initial position when the output of the initial cell becomes nonzero value. The suboal is set as the initial position to find the next subgoal until the final goal is reached. Simulations have been done considering the imprecise hardware fabrication and the limitation of the magnitude of input value.

신재생에너지 단독주택 모델 냉방운전의 선형계획법 기반 운전 최적화 연구 (Optimal Cooling Operation of a Single Family House Model Equipped with Renewable Energy Facility by Linear Programming)

  • Optimal cooling operation algorithm was developed based on a simulation case of a single family house model equipped with renewable energy facility. EnergyPlus simulation results were used as virtual test data. The model contained three energy storage elements: thermal heat capacity of the living room, chilled water storage tank, and battery. Their charging and discharging schedules were optimized so that daily electricity bill became minimal. As an optimization tool, linear programming was considered because it was possible to obtain results in real time. For its adoption, EnergyPlus-based house model had to be linearly approximated. Results of this study revealed that dynamic cooling load of the living room could be approximated by a linear RC model. Scheduling based on the linear programming was then compared to that by a nonlinear optimization algorithm which was made using GenOpt developed by a national lab in USA. They showed quite similar performances. Therefore, linear programming can be a practical solution to optimal operation scheduling if linear dynamic models are tuned to simulate their real equivalents with reasonable accuracy.

  • 본 논문은 수출입 컨테이너 화물의 국제물류에 대한 최적의 복합운송 경로를 도출하기 위한 동적 프로그램 알고리즘을 제시한다. 현재 3자물류 시장의 급부상, 운송업계의 경쟁가열화, 운송경로의 다양화 및 글로벌화가 추구되면서 복합운송을 고려한 수송계획의 효율화가 필요한 실정이다. 그러므로 2가지 이상의 운송수단을 이용하는 복합운송의 특징을 살펴보고, 운송비용과 운송시간을 고려한 WCSPP(Weighted Constrained Shortest Path Problem) 모형을 제시한다. 본 모형을 통해 도출된 목적함수 결과 값를 이용하여 실행가능영역을 설정한 뒤 동적 프로그래밍(Dynamic Programming)중 하나인 Label Setting 알고리즘을 응용하여 두 가지 목적함수를 동시에 만족할 수 있는 파레토 최적해를 도출하였다. 또한 본 알고리즘의 성능을 향상시키기 위해 가지치기 규칙을 함께 제안한다. 본 알고리즘을 부산에서 출발하여 로테르담까지 도착하는 실제 운송경로에 적용하였으며, 기존의 단일운송수단 경로와 비교해 봄으로써 운송비용 및 운송시간의 절감효과를 정량적으로 측정하였다.

  • A stochastic dynamic lot sizing problem for multi-item is suggested in the case that the distribution of the cumulative demand is known over finite planning horizons and all unsatisfied demand is fully backlogged. Each item is produced simultaneously at a variable ratio of input resources employed whenever setup is incurred. A dynamic programming algorithm is proposed to find the optimal production policy, which resembles the Wagner-Whitin algorithm for the deterministic case problem but with some additional feasibility constraints.

  • This paper considers a dynamic lot-sizing problem with backlogging under a minimum replenishment policy. For general concave production costs, we propose an O($T^5$) dynamic programming algorithm. If speculative motive is not allowed, in this case, a more efficient O($T^4$) algorithm is developed.

A Heuristic Algorithm to Find All Normalized Local Alignments Above Threshold

  • Local alignment is an important task in molecular biology to see if two sequences contain regions that are similar. The most popular approach to local alignment is the use of dynamic programming due to Smith and Waterman, but the alignment reported by the Smith-Waterman algorithm has some undesirable properties. The recent approach to fix these problems is to use the notion of normalized scores for local alignments by Arslan, Egecioglu and Pevzner. In this paper we consider the problem of finding all local alignments whose normalized scores are above a given threshold, and present a fast heuristic algorithm. Our algorithm is 180-330 times faster than Arslan et al.'s for sequences of length about 120 kbp and about 40-50 times faster for sequences of length about 30 kbp.
