톤 방식을 사용한 저궤도 위성 거리 측정에서의 잡음과 도플러 영향 분석 (The effect of noise and doppler for range measurement of low orbit satellite using tone method)

  • 톤 방식을 사용하는 저궤도 위성 거리 측정에서 링크 잡음과 도플러 영향을 분석하고, 다목적 실용위성과 거리측정 시스템에 적합한 거리 측정 검출부의 운용 잡음 대역폭을 제안하였다. 저궤도 위성의 운동 특성을 통한 궤도 파라미터별 영향과 거리 측정 신호의 신호대 잡음 스펙트럼 밀도를 구하여 잡음과 도플러의 영향을 분석하였다. 위성 링크 잡음의 영향은 거리 신호 검출부 PLL 대역폭이 낮을수록 작으나, 도플러에 의한 영향은 PLL 대역폭이 클수록 작아진다. 다목적 실용위성의 거리 측정 시스템에서 적용하여 측정한 결과와 위성 궤도 특성을 모델링하여 모의 실험한 거리 측정 시스템의 분석 결과를 통하여 저궤도 위성의 거리 측정에 대한 도플러와 잡음의 영향 분석에 대한 타당성을 확인하였다.

Implementation of a Network Provisioning System with User-driven and Trusty Protection Management

  • Proper management on user-driven virtual circuits (VCs) is essential for seamless operation of virtual networks. The Network Provisioning System (NPS) is useful software for creating user-driven VCs automatically and must take fault management into account for physical layer impairments on user-driven VCs. This paper addresses a user-driven and trusty protection management in an NPS with an open standard Network Service Interface (NSI), as a contribution to show how to implement the user-driven and trusty protection management required for user-driven VCs. In particular, it provides a RESTful web service Interface for Configuration and Event management (RICE) that enable management of a distinguished data and control plane VC status between Network Service Agents (NSAs) in the event of a node or link fault and repair in a domain. This capability represents a contribution to show how network and protection events in a domain can be monitored between NSAs (NPSs with the NSI) in multiple domains. The implemented NPS controls and manages both the primary and backup VC with disjoint path in a user-driven manner. A demonstration to verify RICE API's capability is addressed for the trusty protection in the dynamic VC network.

Study of Data Placement Schemes for SNS Services in Cloud Environment

  • Due to the high growth of SNS population, service scalability is one of the critical issues to be addressed. The cloud environment provides the flexible computing and storage resources for services deployment, which fits the characteristics of scalable SNS deployment. However, if the SNS related information is not properly placed, it will cause unbalance load and heavy transmission cost on the storage virtual machine (VM) and cloud data center (CDC) network. In this paper, we characterize the SNS into a graph model based on the users' associations and interest correlations. The node weight represents the degree of associations, which can be indexed by the number of friends or data sources, and the link weight denotes the correlation between users/data sources. Then, based on the SNS graph, the two-step algorithm is proposed in this paper to determine the placement of SNS related data among VMs. Two k-means based clustering schemes are proposed to allocate social data in proper VM and physical servers for pre-configured VM and dynamic VM environment, respectively. The experimental example was conducted and to illustrate and compare the performance of the proposed schemes.

Trust Based Authentication and Key Establishment for Secure Routing in WMN

  • In Wireless Mesh Networks (WMN), an authentication technique can be compromised due to the distributed network architecture, the broadcast nature of the wireless medium and dynamic network topology. Several vulnerabilities exist in different protocols for WMNs. Hence, in this paper, we propose trust based authentication and key establishment for secure routing in WMN. Initially, a trust model is designed based on Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) to exchange the trust information among the nodes. The routing table is utilized to select the destination nodes, for which the link information is updated and the route verification is performed. Based on the trust model, mutual authentication is applied. When a node moves from one operator to another for accessing the router, inter-authentication will be performed. When a node moves within the operator for accessing the router, then intra-authentication will be performed. During authentication, keys are established using identity based cryptography technique. By simulation results, we show that the proposed technique enhances the packet delivery ratio and resilience with reduced drop and overhead.

An Improved Adaptive Scheduling Strategy Utilizing Simulated Annealing Genetic Algorithm for Data Center Networks

  • Data center networks provide critical bandwidth for the continuous growth of cloud computing, multimedia storage, data analysis and other businesses. The problem of low link bandwidth utilization in data center network is gradually addressed in more hot fields. However, the current scheduling strategies applied in data center network do not adapt to the real-time dynamic change of the traffic in the network. Thus, they fail to distribute resources due to the lack of intelligent management. In this paper, we present an improved adaptive traffic scheduling strategy utilizing the simulated annealing genetic algorithm (SAGA). Inspired by the idea of software defined network, when a flow arrives, our strategy changes the bandwidth demand dynamically to filter out the flow. Then, SAGA distributes the path for the flow by considering the scheduling of the different pods as well as the same pod. It is implemented through software defined network technology. Simulation results show that the bisection bandwidth of our strategy is higher than state-of-the-art mechanisms.

  • 단일 링크 유연성 로보트 팔의 제어를 위해서 가정 모드 방법으로 유도된 동 특성 모델링에 QUADRATIC-최적제어 이론을 적용하였다. 이 제어 기법에 대한 제어 루우프 구성에는 모든 상태값의 피이트 백을 필요로 하지만 유연성 팔에 있어서 모드형태의 시 종속 변화율은 직접 출력으로부터 피이드백 될수 없기 때문에 최적 제어기를 실현하기 위해서는 상태 추정기의 도입이 필요하게 된다. 특히 시스템에 외란이나 측정에 노이즈가 발생할 때는 확률 추정 방법을 적용해서 상태를 추정해야 하는데 이를 위해서 칼만 필터를 사용하였다. 상태 추정기를 이용한 유연성 메니퓨레이터 팔의 시스템 모델을 모든 상태 값이 직접 측정될 수 있다고 가정한 유연성 시스템 모델과 시뮤레이션을 통해서 비교하였다.

  • The multi-level approach seems to be best suited to high power, high voltage ac drives with low torque ripple and fast dynamic response. If high control performance is required, space vector control becomes desirable, and the task becomes time critical. In this paper, a simplified space vector PWM method for the control of a three level inverter is proposed. As the PWM is simple in structure, it is easy to implement and the fluctuation of the neutral point potential of DC link can be supressed effectively. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed PWM strategy can be applied to high power, high voltage inverter systems. And its application to multi-level inverter is easily done on the same principle.

한국어 품사 태깅을 위한 다이내믹 링크 모델 (A Dynamic Link Model for Korean POS-Tagging)

  • 통계를 이용한 품사 태깅에서는 자료부족 문제가 이슈가 된다. 한국어나 터키어와 같은 교착어는 어절(word)이 다수 형태소로 구성되어 있어서 자료부족 문제가 더 심각하다. 이러한 문제를 극복하고자 교착어 문장을 어절 열이 아니라 형태소의 열이라 가정한 연구도 있었으나, 어절 특성이 사라지기 때문에 파생에 의한 어절의 문법 범주 변화 등의 통계정보와 어절 간의 통계정보를 구하기 어렵다. 본 논문은 효율적인 어절 간 전이확률 계산 방법론을 고안함으로써 어절 단위의 정보를 유지하면서도 자료부족문제를 해결할 수 있는 확률 모델을 제안한다. 즉, 한국어의 형태통사적인 특성을 고려하면 앞 어절의 마지막 형태소와 함께 뒤 어절의 처음 혹은 끝 형태소-즉 두 개의 어절 간 전이 링크만으로도 어절 간 전이확률 계산 시 필요한 대부분 정보를 얻을 수 있고, 문맥에 따라 두 링크 중 하나만 필요하다는 관찰을 토대로 규칙을 이용해 두전이링크 중 하나를 선택해 전이확률 계산에 사용하는 '다이내믹 링크 모델'을 제안한다. 형태소 품사 bi-gram만을 사용하는 이 모델은 실험 말뭉치에 대해 96.60%의 정확도를 보인다. 이는 같은 말뭉치에 대해 형태소 품사 tri-gram 등의 더 많은 문맥 정보를 사용하는 다른 모델을 평가했을 때와 대등한 성능이다.

  • Successful deployment of the Software Defined Network (SDN) depends on its ability to cope up with network failures. There are various types of failures that may occur in an SDN. The most common are switch and link failures. It is necessary to recover the network from failures for a continuous service availability. But for the real-time services fast recovery from the failure is required to minimize the service disruption time. In the proposed work, we focused on minimizing the recovery time after the failure is detected. Once the failure is detected, the controller involvement is needed to dynamically reroute the failure disrupted flows from the failed component to an alternate path. The aim of the proposed scheme is to provide a traffic management scheme which can react to the dynamic network events by rapidly modifying the forwarding behavior of the switches for faster in-band network adaptability. The proposed scheme (1) Considers the shared data and control path delay (2) Optimally utilize the network resources (3) Eliminates the need of constant monitoring overhead at the controller which results into faster detouring and ultimately rapid recovery.

Multi-dimensional analyses of plant chromosomes and genomes.

  • Genome and chromosome analyses in plants using fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) and immuno-staining (IMS) methods are reviewed by presenting the recent results obtained by the Chromosome Link, a group of chromosome and genome researchers. FISH is now effective to detect unique nucleotide sequences with 153 bp on the extended DNA fibers. Genomic in situ hybridization (GISH) also allows painting plant chromosomes of different genomes. GISH is quite effective to detect the genomic differentiation in the individual chromosomes within a nucleus. Three dimensional (3D) analyses are now available by confocal microscopy and a deconvolution system. These techniques are invaluable to visualize both the structural and functional dynamics within a nucleus. 3D-FISH revealed the spatial differentiation of different genomees within a nucleus. 3D-FISH also proved structural partition of centromeric and telomeric domains within a barely nucleus. The dynamic acetylation of histone H4 at the specific regions of a genome during a cell cycle is also analyzed using 3D-IMS. It is anticipated that these methods will provide us powerful tools to understand the structural and functional significance of plant chromosomes and genomes.
