Technology of vehicle industry has been developing and it is required a better vehicle performance than before. Therefore, the consumers are asking not only an economic efficiency, functionality, polished design, ride comfort and silence but also a driving stability. The ride comfort, silence and driving stability are influenced by the size of vehicle and various facilities. But the principal factor is a room noise and vibration sensed by a driver and passenger. Thus, the NVH of vehicle has been raised and used as a principal factor for evaluation of vehicle performance. The primary objective of this study is an optimized design of powertrain mounting system. To optimized design was applied MSC.Nastran optimization modules. Results of dynamic analysis for powertrain mounting system was investigated. By theses results, design variables was applied 12 dynamic spring constant. And the weighting factor according to translational displacement and rotational displacement applied 3 cases. The objective function was applied to minimize displacement of powertrain. And the design variable constraint was imposed dynamic spring constant ratio. The constraint of design variable for objective function was imposed bounce displacement for powertrain.
This paper presents an integrated wind-induced dynamic analysis and computer-based design optimization technique for minimizing the structural cost of general tall buildings subject to static and dynamic serviceability design criteria. Once the wind-induced dynamic response of a tall building structure is accurately determined and the optimal serviceability design problem is explicitly formulated, a rigorously derived Optimality Criteria (OC) method is to be developed to achieve the optimal distribution of element stiffness of the structural system satisfying the wind-induced drift and acceleration design constraints. The effectiveness and practicality of the optimal design technique are illustrated by a full-scale 60-story building with complex 3D mode shapes. Both peak resultant acceleration criteria and frequency dependent modal acceleration criteria are considered and their influences on the optimization results are highlighted. Results have shown that the use of various acceleration criteria has different implications in the habitability evaluations and subsequently different optimal design solutions. The computer based optimization technique provides a powerful tool for the lateral drift and occupant comfort design of tall building structures.

Proposed Manta-type Unmanned Undersea Vehicle(UUV) turned out to have the tendency of dynamic instability in vertical plane, and moreover to have that of so strong dynamic stability in horizontal plane as to cause another problem in turning motion due to negative value of sway damping lever. The authors discussed the changes in appendage design for improvement of dynamic stability of UUV in vertical and horizontal planes. As a result, the dynamic stability in vertical plane was improved by increasing the area of horizontal stern planes. and the dynamic stability in horizontal plane was also improved by removal of lower vertical plate and by adjusting the area and position of upper vertical plate simultaneously.
To improve the effectiveness and economics the bridge design methodology considering the bridge/rail longitudinal analysis and bridge/vehicle dynamic effect suggested in this study. The reliability-based Life-Cycle Costs(LCC) effective optimum design is applied to a 2-main steel girder bridge, 5$\times$(1@50m) for comparison with conventional design, initial cost optimization and equivalent LCC optimization. As a result of the optimum design based on reliability, it may be stated that the design of High-Speed railway bridges considering the bridge/rail longitudinal analysis and bridge/vehicle dynamic effect are more efficient than typical existing bridges and LCC optimization without respect to bridge/rail longitudinal analysis and bridge/vehicle dynamic effect. The result of optimization design considering the interaction, design methodology suggested in this study, is higher than result of initial cost optimization design in initial cost, but that has the advantage than result of initial cost optimization design in expected LCC.
In this paper, an analytical model of a cantilever beam having a midpoint load is considered for structural optimization and design. This involves creation of the geometry through a parametric study of all design variables. For this purpose, the optimization of the cantilever beam was elaborated in order to find the optimum geometry which minimizes its volume eventually for minimum weight by FEM (finite element method) analysis. Such geometry can be obtained by different combinations of width and height, so that the beam may have the same cross-sectional area, yet different dynamic behavior. So for optimum safe design, besides minimum volume it should have minimum vibration as well. In order to predict vibration, different dynamic analyses were performed simultaneously to identify the resonant frequencies and mode shapes belonging to the lowest three modes of vibration. Next, by introducing damping effects, the tip displacement and bending stress at the fixed end was evaluated under dynamic loads of varying frequency. Investigation of the results clearly shows that only structural analysis is not enough to predict the optimum values of dimension for safe design it must be aided by dynamic analysis as well.
Dependability-critical systems, such as digital instrumentation and control systems in nuclear power plants, necessitate engineering techniques and tools to provide assurances of their safety and reliability. Determining system reliability at the architectural design phase is important since it may guide design decisions and provide crucial information for trade-off analysis and estimating system cost. Despite this, reliability and system engineering remain separate disciplines and engineering processes by which the dependability analysis results may not represent the designed system. In this article we provide an overview and application of our approach to build architecture-based, dynamic system models for dependability-critical systems and then automatically generate dynamic fault trees (DFT) for comprehensive, tool-supported reliability analysis. Specifically, we use the Architectural Analysis and Design Language (AADL) to model the structural, behavioral and failure aspects of the system in a composite architecture model. From the AADL model, we seek to derive the DFT(s) and use Galileo's automated reliability analyses to estimate system reliability. This approach alleviates the dependability engineering - systems engineering knowledge expertise gap, integrates the dependability and system engineering design and development processes and enables a more formal, automated and consistent DFT construction. We illustrate this work using an example based on a dynamic digital feed-water control system for a nuclear reactor.

In this paper, the design of DYNAMIC CMOS ARRAY LOGIC which has both advantages of dynamic CMOS and array logic circuits is proposed. The major components of DYNAMIC CMOS ARRAY LOGIC are two-stage dunamic CMOS circuits and an internal clock generator. The function block of dynamic CMOS circuits is realized as a parallel interconnection of NMOS transistors. Therefore the operating speed of DYNAMIC CMOS ARRAY LOGIC is much faster than the one of the conventional dynamic CMOS PLAs and static CMOS PLA. Also, the charge redistribution problem by internl delay is solved. The internal clock generator generates four internal clocks that drive all the dynamic CMOS circuits. During evaluation, two clocks of them are delayed as compared with others. Therefore the race problem is completoly eliminated. The internal clock generator also prevents the reduction of circuit output voltage and noise margin due to leakage current and charge coupling without any penalty in circuit operating speed or chip area utilization.
Rubber materials are extensively used in various machine design application, mainly for vibration/shock/noise control devices. Over the years an enormous effort has been put into developing procedures to provide properties of rubber material for design function. However, there are still a lot of difficulties in the understanding of dynamic characteristics of the rubber components in compression. In this paper, the dynamic characteristics of rubber materials for anti-vibration under compression were investigated. Dynamic and static tests for rubber material with 3 different hardness were performed. In dynamic tests, non-resonance method, impedance method, was used to obtain the complex modulus(storage modulus and loss factor) and the effects of static pre-strain on the dynamic characteristics were investigated. Also, a relation equation between linear dynamic and nonlinear static behavior of rubber material was discussed and its usefulness to predict their combined effects was investigated.

Stadium stand could be led to significant dynamic response due to rhythmical activities of spectator. The dynamic loads induced by spectators movements are considered as static loads in design standard of many countries but these loads have dynamic characteristics. So, it is desirable to apply measured dynamic loads created by spectator activities and to analyze the dynamic behavior of stadium system. The precise investigation of the dynamic loads on stadium structures and the accurate analysis of dynamic behavior of stadium systems are demanded for effective design. As the floor mesh of stadium stand is refined, the number of nodes increase in numerical analysis. So it is difficult to analyze entire stadium structures and much more computer memory are necessary for vibration analysis of stadium system. In this study, the various dynamic loads induced by spectator movements are measured and analyzed. And new modeling method that reduce the nodal points of stadium systems are introduced. Vibration analysis of stadium system is executed to inspect the accuracy and the efficiency of proposed method in this paper.

By rising the interests of the railroad, It has been required the research about railroad structure. And since 2000, the study about railway bridges caused by steel box railway bridges has been only 0.2%. So I was hard to find out about steel box railway bridges. In this study, I evaluate and analyze 4 types(KTX, Saemaeul, Mugunghwa, Freight) of dynamic caused by train loading, natural frequency and damping ratio, verticality deflection and verticality acceleration, end slope deflection, impact factor for dynamic characteristics analysis. natural frequency was measured 2.45Hz~3.34Hz and damping ratio revealed for 1.26~2.84%. Maximum verticality deflection(4.86mm) was sufficiently satisfied the design criteria(30.1mm), but in the case of verticality acceleration's respond, design criteria BRDM(Bridge Design Manual) & CTRL presentation derive rail limit value 0.35g be more than value 6 time recorded, maximum was measured 0.49g in 3 kinds of train(KTX, Saemaeul, Mugunghwa), except for Freight. Survey impact factor of Experiment bridge was 0.20 which is measured when the KTX(15:04) was driving. impact factor is enough contended with design criteria 0.29 which is presented in domestic railway design criteria and thoroughly guarantee the dynamic stability.
