  • Viscoelastic components for vibration isolation or shock absorption in automobiles, machines and buildings are often subject to a high level of static deformation. From the dynamic design point of view, it is requisite to predict dynamic complex stiffness of viscoelastic components accurately and efficiently. To this end, a systematic procedure for complex modulus measurement of the viscoelastic material under large static deformation is often required in the industrial fields. In this paper, dynamic test conditions and procedures for the viscoelastic material under small oscillatory load superimposed on large static deformation are discussed. Various standard test methods are investigated in order to select an adequate test methodology. The influence of fixed boundary condition in the compression tests upon complex stiffness are investigated and an effective correction technique is proposed. Then the uniaxial tension and compression tests are performed and its results are compared with analysis results from conventional constitutive models.

  • Most of the sensor applications collect and analyze sensor data within a given period of time. When sensor send a data to sink, it spend many communication cost. Accordingly, a compression algorithm is one of the most critical issues for the communication cost decrease in sensor fields. In this paper, we propose an algorithm for compressing sensor data using the dynamic bit assignment technique. In our algorithm, sink collect sensor data within a short period of time and make bit assign information. Then sink send the information to sensor. Finally, sensors compresssensing data and send to sink.

  • Torsion testing was employed to investigate the deformation and recrystallization behavior of coarse-grained Alloy 718, and the results are compared with the compression testing results. Mechanical testing was conducted on bulk Alloy718 samples within the temperature ranges, $1000^{\circ}C{\sim}1100^{\circ}C$. The strain gradient formed in the torsion specimens resulted in a recrystallization behavior which varied along the radial direction from the center to the surface. The flow curves based on effective stress and effective strain as obtained by Fields and Backofen's isotropic deformation theory and the dynamic recrystallization within the compression tested samples and torsion tested samples are different. The different deformation and recrystallization behavior can be rationalized by the fact that the deformation in the coarse-grained torsion specimens is not uniform and thus the strain gradient within the specimens cannot be analytically predicted by FE simulation. Thus, the extent of recrystallization cannot be properly predicted by the established recrystallization equations based on compression tests.

  • Because of computer developing, the digital image making the use of many a field of application with - web-above, electronic publishing. printing, dynamic image management and photo CD production etc., however many problems of save and management. The management image use of compression moth which don't have a affect on image, reduce file size. A study used sequential DCT0based mode and progressive DCT-based mode of JPEG(Joing Photographic Experts Group) compression method and Wavelet compression method. Therefore, the analog image and digital image was changed and applied by several stages according to compression rate. It made inquiries of the optimum compression rate that be compared quality transformation between original image and compressed image. As compression image was printing simply, the quality was studied by subjective valuation method, that was studied propriety and usefulness.

  • Dynamic analysis of laminated beams with a embedded damping layer under tension or compression axial load is investigated. Improved Layer-Wise Zig-Zag Beam Theory and Interdependent Kinematic Relation using the governing equations of motion are incorporated to model the laminated beams with a damping layer and a corresponding beam zig-zag finite element is developed. Flexural frequencies and modal loss actors under tension or compression axial load are calculated based on Complex Eigenvalue Method. The effect of the axial tension and compression load on the frequencies and loss factors is discussed.

  • A clustering algorithms with dynamic adjustment of learning rate for GBFCM(Gradient Based FCM) is proposed in this paper. This algorithm combines two idea of dynamic K-means algorithms and GBFCM : learning rate variation with entropy concept and continuous membership grade. To evaluate dynamic GBFCM, we made comparisons with Kohonen's Self-Organizing Map over several tutorial examples and image compression. The results show that DGBFCM(Dynamic GBFCM) gives superior performance over Kohonen's algorithm in terms of signal-to-noise.

  • Two modes of shock waves propagating in He II (superfluid helium), this is a compression and a thermal shock waves, were studied experimentally by using superconductive temperature sensors, piezo pressure transducers and Schlieren visualization method with an ultra-high-speed video camera (40,500 pictures/sec). The shock waves are induced by a gas dynamic shock wave impingement upon a He II free surface. It is found that the shock Mach number of a transmitted compression shock wave is up to 1.16, and the shock Mach number of a thermal shock wave coincides well with the second sound velocity under each compressed He II state condition. The temperature rise ratio of an induced thermal shock wave to that of an incident gas dynamic shock wave was found to be very small, as small as 0.003 at 1.80K.

  • The flow stress of 304 stainless steel during high during hot forming process were determined by conducting hot compression tests at the range of 1273 K-1423 K and 0.05 /s-2.0 /s as these are typical temperature and strain rate in hot forging operation. Based on the observed phenomena, a constitutive model of flow stress was assumed as a function of strain, strain rate, temperature. Dynamic recrystallization was found to be the major softening mechanism with this conditions as previous studies. A finite element analysis was performed to predict the recrystallized volume fraction and the mean grain size in hot compression of 304 stainless steel.
