  • It is a research about the change in reduction efficiency and performance resulting from installation of the EGR cooler, which is the core technology reducing NOx in response to standards been tightened of exhaust controls for off-road vehicle. It can reduce NOx by altering combustion temperature and oxygen concentration by recycling high-temperature exhaust gas. The target engine was large diesel engine for construction machine through by which we were able to verify a rate of change in output and capabilities for a heat-exchange within cooler itself depending on the existence of EGR cooler system. We have acquired a emission reduction technology for a construction machine by testing the reduction performance and rate of change in output.

  • DC/DC converters are commonly used to generate regulated DC output voltages with high-power efficiencies from different DC input sources. The converters can be applied in the regenerative braking of DC motors to return energy back to the supply, resulting in energy savings for the systems at periodic intervals. The fundamental converter studied here consists of an IGBT (Insulated Gate Bipolar mode Transistor), an inductor, a capacitor, a diode, a PWM-IC (Pulse Width Modulation Integrated Circuit) controller with oscillator, amplifier, and comparator. The PWM-IC is a core element and delivers the switching waveform to the gate of the IGBT in a stable manner. Display of the DC/DC converter output depends on the IGBT's changes in the threshold voltage and PWM-IC's pulse width. The simulation was conducted by PSIM software, and the hardware of the DC/DC converter was also implemented. It is necessary to study the fact that the output voltage depends on the duty rate of D, and to compare the output of experimental result with the theory and the simulation.

액정 표시기의 구동효율 개선을 위한 중첩구동방식에 관한 연구 (A study on the overlap scanning method for the driving efficiency improvement of LC Displays)

  • In this paper a Duty Effective Overlap Scanning method (DEOS) for the improvement of driving efficiency of LC displays which have the RMS voltage responding characteristics is proposed and new processing method of data signals for optimum application of this method is also proposed. Proposed method has a few advantages such as the increment of duty ratio the increment of driving power loaded on LC cell and the decrement of RMS voltage error rate caused by signal attenuation on electrodes composing of display when compared with the conventional method which is called as optimum voltage amplitude selection method. And also by adopting new data signal processing method which has 3 kinds of voltage levels additional advantage much improving crosstalk phenomenon which is the most serious problems of simple matrix structured display is obtained. For the characteristic estimation new mathematical representation for new overlap scanning method and data signal processing method are induced and defined. And by the defined formula and simulation the characteristics of the proposed method and the conventional method are compared and analyzed. As a result of estimation this new method being able to optimize the overlap rate of scan signal and using 3 levels of data signals has the characteristic which can improve the driving efficiency of LC displays.

  • EGR율이 증가할수록 $NO_X$ 저감에는 효과적이나, 과도한 EGR율은 오히려 불완전 연소의 주원인이 된다. 엄격한 배기규제를 만족하기 위해서는 엔진의 운행 조건에 최적화된 정밀한 EGR 밸브의 위치 제어가 뒷받침 되어야 한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 EGR 밸브 용 모터 특성 분석을 위해 수학적 모델링과 제어 이론에 대해 연구하고, 마이크로칩 개발 툴을 이용하여 EGR 밸브용 모터의 위치를 제어하기 위한 단계로서 PWM(Pulse Width Modulation)의 듀티(duty)비의 입력 값에 따른 밸브 위치를 측정하여 개폐 구간 별 EGR 밸브 모터 특성을 분석하였다.

대형 수소-천연가스 기관의 수소첨가율에 따른 노크발생 한계압축비 (The Limit Compression Ratio of Knock Occurring by $R_{dH2}$ in the Heavy Duty Hydrogen-CNG Fueled Engine)

  • A heavy duty hydrogen-natural gas fueled engine can obtain stable operation at ultra lean conditions and reduce emissions extremely. Reduction of $CO_2$ in its engine is one of the most benefit. In this study, rate of hydrogen addition($R_{dH2}$) and compression ratio($\varepsilon$) were investigated including performance of this engine. As results, it was found that phenomenon of pressure oscillation when increasing $R_{dH2}$ and $\varepsilon$, it means occurring knock. It consider that pressure oscillation was increased due to fast burning speed of hydrogen. Even if same compression ratio, pressure oscillation was remarkable increased according to increasing $R_{dH2}$. Therefore, limit compression ratio of knock occurring was reduced by increasing $R_{dH2}$.

인젝터 특성에 따른 2중 연료의 RCCI 연소에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on RCCI(Reactivity Controlled Compression Ignition) Combustion of Dual-fuel due to Injector Characteristics)

  • This study describes the characteristics of combustion and exhaust emission in the special engine applying a fuel reactivity controlled compression ignition (RCCI) concept with two different energizing type (solenoid and piezoelectric) injectors for diesel injection. A diesel-gasoline mixed dual-fuel reactivity controlled compression ignition concept is demonstrated as a promising method to achieve high thermal efficiency and low emission in internal combustion engines for transportation vehicles. For investigating the combustion characteristics of RCCI, engine experiments were performed in a light-duty diesel engine over a range of injection timing and mixing rate of gasoline in mass. It was investigated that by increasing the nozzle hole diameter, increasing the combustion pressure and the net indicated mean effective pressure. $NO_x$ and soot can be reduced by advancing start of injection in 84 mixing rate of gasoline in mass. The resulting operation showed that light duty engine could achieve 48 percent net indicated efficiency and 191[g/kW-hr] net indicated specific fuel consumption with lower levels of nitrogen oxides and soot.

지하 매설형 안테나를 이용한 근거리 유성 버스트 통신의 특성개선 (Improvement of Short Range Performance of Meteor Burst Path with Buried Antenna)

  • 유성버스트 통신방식은 1000 krn 이상의 장거리 VHF NLOS 데이터 통신 시스템을 가장 경제적인 방법으 로 구현시켜 줄 수가 있다. 그러나 이 방식은 근거리 전송에서는 버스트의 지속시간이 짧아져서 도통율이 열 화함으로 본질적으로 실용에는 부적합한 것으로 알려져 있다. 이 논문에서는 유성 버스트 전송로의 근거리 특성을 해석한 후l 송/ 수신안테나의 빔 패턴이 공간의 hot-spot을 완전히 포용할 수 있도록 함으로써 버스트 의 발생빈도를 증가시키는 동시에 안테나에 유도하는 지상 잡음 전계를 효과적으로 차단함으로서 수신기의 실효 차단전압을 낮추면 시스템의 총 도통율(duty rate)은 크게 개선될 수 있음을 밝혔다. 이 해석결과를 기 초로 하여 특히 근거리 유성 버스트 경로에 적합한 안테나로서 소개구형 공동형 안테니를 개발하였다. 이 안 테니는 지하에 매설하여 사용하는데 이렇게 함으로서 수직방향의 지향성이 개선되고 지상으로부터의 잡음 혼 입이 효과적으로 차단된다. 이 안테나는 3 dB 빔 폭이 $90^{\circ}$에 달하여 앙각 8-$90^{\circ}$로서 근거리 경로의 hot-spot 를 효과적으로 조사(퍼umir뻐tel 할 수가 있는데/ 이것은 대체로 100 krn 이하의 근거리 유성 버스트 경로에 최적합한 조건이다, 지표방향으로의 지향성은 최소로 억제되어 이 방향으로부터 인공잡음의 혼입을 효과적으 로 차단하는데 재래식의 Yagi보다 평균 3 dB 이상 억제된다. 이 안테나를 수신안테나로 사용하여 100 krn 경 로에서 시험통신을 실시한 결과 동일한 조건하에서 4 소자 Ya멍 안테나를 사용한 경우에 비하여 버스트의 발 생빈도와 지속시간이 각각 10 %와 20 % 이상 증가한 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

시판 세제를 사용하여 세척 조건에 따른 인공오염포의 세척성 (The Soil Removal of Artificially Soiled Fabrics with Commercial Detergents at Various Washing Conditions)

  • Formulations of compact and supercompact heavy-duty detergents, which are being used widely around the world, differ from those of conventional heavy-duty detergents. Significant differences in composition exist between the compact detergents and the conventional detergents. The compact detergents have a higher content of surfactants, oxygen bleach and enzymes than the conventional detergents. We have studied to find the most effective washing conditions of artificially soiled cloths with a commercial, supercompact, heavy-duty detergent and a drum type washing machine which is becoming the preferred type in Korea. Moreover, we have studied the washing performance with an impeller type washing machine, which has heretofore been the most popular type in East Asia. With the drum-type washing machine, washing performances improved as the washing temperatures went up and the washing times were lengthened. Though the rate of soil removal with a double recommended dosage was higher than with the recommended amount at $20^{\circ}C$, the effects of the higher dosage decreased as the washing temperatures increased. Finally, the washing performances with the two different dosages were the same at $60^{\circ}C$. The washing performances at $40^{\circ}C$ with the recommended dosage for 90 minutes were the same as with the double recommended dosage for 45 minutes. The soil removal efficiencies with the impeller-type washing machine were much lower than those of the drum-type washing machine. The reasons for this were the higher bath ratio that led to the lower concentration of wash liquor, the shorter washing time, and the lower washing temperature.

저강도 초음파가 조골세포 활성에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Low Intensity Ultrasound on Osteoblast Activation)

  • 뼈의 형성과 재형정은 조골세포에 의한 골기질의 합성과 파골세포에 의한 재흡수에 의해 조절된다. 최근에는 골형성세포의 활성화를 통한 골조직의 재생 및 치유에 대한 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 골형성 세포의 활성화는 생물학적 자극뿐만 아니라 물리적 자극에 의해서도 영향을 받는 것으로 알려져 있다. 본 연구에서는 물리적 자극 가운데에서 연구가 거의 되지 않은 저강도 초음파가 골형성 세포의 활성에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 이를 위하여 우선 다양한 특성의 초음파를 사용함으로써 세포활성에 미치는 최적의 초음파 조건을 결정하였다 본 연구 결과 전체 duty cycle에서 초음파 강도가 0.3W/$\textrm{cm}^2$일 경우가 세포활성에 가장 적합하며 duty cycle 50%인 경우 최고의 세포수 증가율을 나타내었다. 이와 같이 골조직의 재생에 적합한 초음파의 특성을 결정하여 골절 및 골다공증의 치료에 초음파를 활용할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

교대근무 경찰의 1일 보행수, 활동량 및 활동계수의 평가 (Assessment of Daily Steps, Physical Activities and Activity Coefficient of Policemen who Do Shift-Work)

  • The purpose of this study was to assess the daily steps, physical activities and activity coefficient of policemen (average age: 31.5 ${\pm}$ 5.1 years) who do shift work. Body weight, height and daily steps were measured and one-day activity diary was collected by interviewing with policemen. Average height, body weight, BMI, body fat (%) and muscles (%) of subjects were 173.1 ${\pm}$ 5.2 cm, 73.7 ${\pm}$ 9.7 kg, 24,6 $kg/m^{2}$, 15.5 ${\pm}$ 1.9% and 37.3 ${\pm}$ 5.8%, respectively. The average daily numbers of steps were found to be 9,812 steps/day on day shift duty and 10,888 steps/day on night shift duty and 6,551 steps/day on holiday duty. Hourly step rates on day shift, night shift and holiday came to 1946 steps/hr, 2,130 steps/hr and 1,318 steps/hr, respectively. Activity coefficient (1.75) in night shift of the subjects was the highest and activity coefficient (1.52) in day shift was significantly higher than that (1.31) in holiday (p < 0.05). The rate of expending time for very light activity in holiday (91.5%) was significantly higher than that (70.0%) in night shift. The muscle mass (kg, %) had significantly positive relationship with daily steps in day shift (r = 0.592, r = 0.632) and night shift (r = 0.550, r = 0.503). Triceps skinfold thickness was negatively correlated with daily steps in day shift (r = -0.366, p < 0.05). There were remarkable differences in physical activities and sleeping hours depending on shift works of policemen. In the case of night shift work, sleeping hours was the lowest and activity coefficient was the highest among day shift, night shift and holiday. These results suggest that energy requirements of policemen should be differentiated according to shift work duty.
