무창 육계사의 계절별 먼지 농도와 특성 연구 (Seasonal Dust Concentration and Characteristics of Windowless Broiler Building)

  • 본 연구는 무창육계사의 계절별 먼지 농도와 계사 먼지의 특성을 알아보고자 경기 화성 소재 육계농장의 무창계사에서 시험을 수행하였으며 결과는 다음과 같다. 1 여름철 무창육계사의 주령별 먼지농도는 TSP의 경우 1주령 1,229, 2주령 904.5, 3주령 558.8 그리고 4주령시 $1,053{\mu}g/m^3$이었다. 2. 겨울철에는 주령이 경과함에 따라 급격히 증가하는 경향이었으며, TSP의 경우 1주령시 465.4, 2주령시 1,401, 3주령시 4,497, 4주령시 5,097 그리고 5주령시 $6,873{\mu}g/m^3$이었다. 3. 겨울철 5주령시 최대 TSP량은 $11,132{\mu}g/m^3$을 보여 노출기준에 비하여 매우 높게 검출되었다. 4. 하루중의 먼지 분포는 여름철의 경우 이른 아침에 높게 나타났으며 환기량이 많은 오후에 최소량이 검출되었다 그러나 겨울철에는 이른 아침에 낮은 량이 검출되고 닭의 활동이 많은 오후에 먼지농도가 높게 검출되었다. 5. 먼지 입자 크기 분포에 있어서 숫자 기준으로 하였을 경우에는 $0.05\~0.35{\mu}m$ 크기의 먼지 분포가 높게 나타났으나 용적을 기준으로 하였을 경우에는 $16\~99{\mu}m$의 큰 먼지가 높은 분포를 보였다. 6. 먼지의 조단백질 함량은 DM기준으로 $42.8\~65.2\%$를 보여 급여사료의 조단백질 함량 $20.5\~24.5\%$에 비하여 높았으며 중금속의 경우에도 급여사료에 비하여 높은 농도를 보였다

분진폭발의 입자거동을 고려한 화염전파속도의 예측 (Prediction of Flame Propagation Velocity based on the Behavior of Dust Particles)

  • 본 연구에서는 석송자 분진입자의 거동에 관한 실험적 연구결과를 바탕으로 한 분진화염 전파모델을 제시하였다. 화염전파속도는 분진농도와 함께 증가하여 석송자의 화학양론농도보다 높은 $170g/m^3$에서 최대로 나타났으며 $500g/m^3$까지 완만하게 감소 경향을 나타낸다. 농도 $47{\sim}200g/m^3$에 있어서, 분진입자속도는 화염전파속도에 비례하여 증가한다. 또한, 연소속도와 입자속도의 합이 화염전파속도에 근사한 값을 나타내고 있어, 분진농도에 따른 화염전파속도를 계산에 의해 추정이 가능하였으며, 입자의 거동이 분진의 화염전파속도를 이해하는데 유용하다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

MECHANICAL과 Fugitive Dust Model을 이용한 비포장도로에서의 비산먼지 발생량 산정 및 주변영향 평가 (Estimation of fugitive dust emission and impact assessment by MECHANICAL and Fugitive Dust Model on a unpaved road)

  • This study is to investigate the methodology and applicability on emission control by both MECHANICAL Model and Fugitive Dust Model (FDM) through the comparison of field measurement data and calculated data. Comparing to the method of AP-42 emission fector on the production of flying dust the MECHANICAL Model was proved to be more applicable to the calculation emission rate on the various dust emission conditions on a unpaved road. The seperate calculation on annual mean emission amount and a 24working hours amount was undertaken for the easy management of fugitive dust. Dust concentration predicted by FDM is similar with a measurement value.

A study on GEO satellite signals in L - to Ka-band affected by Asian Sand Dust

  • This paper represents an attempt to bring together and analyses the measurement data measured by the Satellite Signal Monitoring Center in Korea and the Korea Meteorological Administration/Korea Meteorological Research Institute in close cooperation with this study team. This paper presents the signal characteristic of GEO satellite operating in frequency range 1 to 20GHz associated with Asian Sand Dust (the so-called Yellow Sand Dust). The downlink signal power (dBm) for L-, S-, C-, Ku-, and Ka-band frequencies from GEO satellites were measured in a clear weather and in Asian Sand Dust weather by the Satellite Signal Monitoring Center. The measured signal power(dBm) were compared to the total number concentration and size distribution of Sand Dust that were measured by the Korea Meteorological Administration/Korea Meteorological Research Institute and the possible correlation between these sets data were analyzed. The results demonstrate that the downlink signal level (dBm) of GEO satellite is attenuated by Asian Sand Dust. Hitherto, merger information has been reported as to the influence of sand dust on satellite communications operating in regions affected by sand dust.

먼지 피해의 환경분쟁조정 사례 분석과 배상액 산정안 제언 (Dispute Mediation Cases and Suggestions for Calculating Compensation for Dust Damage)

  • In this study, we analyzed 82 dust damage dispute mediation cases over the past 5 years and evaluated cases where the probability of damage was verified through dust concentration measurement, modeling prediction, and chemical composition analysis. The cause of dust damage was a construction site, which accounted for most of the damage (97%), and was closely related to the distance from the construction site, total floor area of the construction site, and construction duration. Compensation was decided in only 33% of dust damage cases, and in only 6% (five cases) were damages determined using scientific techniques such as dust measurement, and forecasting. The main criteria for determining compensation were whether administrative measures were taken and evidence of damage in the form of videos and photos. In the future, measuring or model for the amount of dust damage is necessary to determine whether the limit has been exceeded and to revise the standard for calculating compensation through various lines of evidence of dust damage.

윈치커튼식 계사의 시기 및 작업자 출입에 따른 분진 발생 농도 측정 연구 (Measurement of Dust Concentration in a Naturally Ventilated Broiler House according to Season and Worker's Access)

  • Improvement in domestic poultry production has a positive effect on the export competitiveness of the poultry industry. However, overproduction and enlargement of facilities to assure a supply increase a stocking density which make a poor environment in the broiler house. In particular, an intensive rearing environment is vulnerable to dust control that causes respiratory diseases, such as asthma, bronchitis, etc., to farmers and broilers. However, monitoring data and research for environment control are not adequate, and there are no air quality regulations in broiler houses in Korea. In this study, TSP, PM10, inhalable dust and respirable dust concentration were monitored according to season, age of broiler and broiler's activities. Air quality assessment was also performed in accordance with the threshold limit value by Donham et al. (2000). The TSP concentrations were 77.5 %, 219.7 % higher and PM10 concentrations were 121.2 %, 303.8 % higher when change of season and winter respectively than summer. There were significantly different concentrations according to season and age of broiler. Inhalable and respirable dust concentration were also clearly different according to the season and age of broiler. A high dust concentration was observed, specifically exceeding the threshold limit by 119 % in the winter. In the case of the broiler's motion was activity according to worker's access into the broiler house, concentration level was 769.6 % higher than broiler's motion was stable and exceeded the threshold limit. These results suggest that the worker should put on protective equipment to protect there's respiratory health in the broiler house.

스마트버스정류장 유형에 따른 미세먼지 농도 저감효과 (Types of Smart Bus Stop and Their Impacts on Reducing Fine Dust Concentrations in Seoul)

  • 본 연구는 미세먼지 농도 저감을 위해 스마트버스정류장 도입 유형에 대한 가이드라인을 제안하고자 한다. 이를 위해 스마트버스정류장 유형을 밀폐형 및 개방형으로 구분하고, 서울 강남구에 위치한 스마트버스정류장 내부와 외부 5개 지점에서 PM10 및 PM2.5를 5일간 실측하여 저감효과를 비교·분석하였다. 분석 결과 외부공간에 대한 저감효과는 두 유형에서 모두에서 미비하게 나타났으나, 밀폐형 버스정류장(PM10 26.0㎍/m3, PM2.5 20.2㎍/m3 내·외부 농도차이) 내에서 개방형 버스정류장(PM10 2.4㎍/m3, PM2.5 1.8㎍/m3 내·외부 농도차이) 내에서보다 상대적으로 우수한 농도 저감효과를 나타내었다. 이를 바탕으로 미세먼지 저감을 고려한 스마트버스정류장 도입을 검토할 경우 밀폐형을 권장한다. 또한 스마트버스정류장 외부의 미세먼지 저감효과가 미비하기 때문에 스마트버스정류장 내부 용량을 초과하는 서비스 수요 발생 시 스마트버스정류장 추가 구축이 필요하다.

전기로 제강분진이 첨가된 규산염계 유리의 중금속 용출 특성 (Heavy Metal Leaching Characteristics of Silicate Glass Containing EAF Dust)

  • The stabilizing behavior of heavy metals in the silicate glass containing Electric Arc Furnace dust (EAF dust) were studied by the Toxic Characterization Leaching Procedure (TCLP) test, and the change of crystalline phase and glass network structure were investigated as a function of EAF dust content added. The glass containing EAF dust of $30\;wt\%$ an oxygen/network former ratio(R) of $2\~3$ allowing a fairly stable network structure thus showed much lower heavy metal leaching concentration than that for containing EAF dust above $50\;wt\%$ at TCLP test. For the glass containing EAF dust $50\~60\;wt\%$, however, the R was over 3, which weakened the glass network structure and increased the heavy metals leachate. Adding the EAF dust to a glass decreased the degree of Si-O-Si symmetry and increased the number of non-bridging oxygen, which decreased the chemical durability of glasses. When the dust content in a glass was over $70\;wt\%$, the Zn and Fe ions reacted to form the spinel crystal rather than to bind to network structure of glass and leaching concentration of those ions from the specimen decreased, so the spinel phase could be attributed to lowering a heavy metal leaching.

황사 배출량이 동아시아 지역 PM10 농도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Dust Emissions on PM10 Concentration in East Asia)

  • The anthropogenic aerosols originated from the pollutant emissions in the eastern part of China and dust emitted in northwestern China in Yellow sand regions are subsequently transported via eastward wind to the Korean peninsula and then these aerosols induce high $PM_{10}$ concentrations in Korean peninsula. In order to estimate air quality considering anthropogenic and dust emissions, Comprehensive Air-quality Model with extension (CAMx) was applied to simulate $PM_{10}$ concentration. The predicted $PM_{10}$ concentrations without/with dust emissions were compared with observations at ambient air quality monitoring sites in China and Korea for 2008. The predicted $PM_{10}$ concentrations with dust emissions could depict the variation of measured $PM_{10}$ especially during Yellow sand events in Korea. The comparisons also showed that predicted $PM_{10}$ concentrations without dust emissions were under-predicted while predictions of $PM_{10}$ concentrations with dust emission were in good agreement with observations. This implied that dust emissions from desert and barren soil in southern Mongolia and northern China minimized the discrepancies in the $PM_{10}$ predictions in East Asia. The effect of dust emission on annual $PM_{10}$ concentrations in Korea Peninsula for year 2008 was $5{\sim}10{\mu}g/m^3$, which were about 20% of observed annual $PM_{10}$ concentrations.

간척지 인근 농경지에서의 비산 및 부유먼지 확산 모니터링(I) : 군산 모니터링 (Monitoring of the Fugitive and Suspended Dust Dispersion at the Reclaimed Land and Neighboring Farms : Monitoring in Gunsan)

  • A study on fugitive dust dispersion was conducted at Saemanguem reclaimed area located at the west coastal area of Jeon-buk Province Total reclaimed area is 40,100ha developed by building a 33km long sea dike through Gunsan, Gimje, and Buan. (Land: 28,300ha, Fresh Water Lake: 11,800ha) After this area was completely reclaimed in 2006, there has been high possibility of dust generation and dispersion to the neighboring area. The dust generated at the reclaimed land was composed mainly of minerals with high salinity, and it could make harmful effect on crop production as well on to human's health such as eye irritation and respiratory disease. Especially, when those aerosol particles are reached on the leaves of farm crops, the photosynthesis and respiration of the plants can be under restraint resulting in the decrease of agricultural productivity of the nearby farm areas. Furthermore, highly concentrated salty particles can directly damage the leaf cells. In this study, field experiment has been conducted to regularly measure the locally suspended dust particles and analyze how they were dispersed to the neighboring areas. The collected dust particles were analyzed to examine theirs sizes, concentrations, and components. The SPSS statistical program was also used to separate the dust concentration generated by the reclaimed land from the total dust concentration measured at the measuring locations.
