  • It is known [5] that the concepts of $C_k$-spaces and those can be characterized using by the Gottlieb sets and the LS category of spaces as follows; A space X is a $C_k$-space if and only if the Gottlieb set G(Z, X) = [Z, X] for any space Z with cat $Z{\leq}k$. In this paper, we introduce a dual concept of $C_k$-space and obtain a dual result of the above result using the dual Gottlieb set and the dual LS category.

  • This paper designs Shared Memory on the Dual Core system so that it operates a general System V IPC on the Linux O.S. Shared Memory is the technique that many processes can access to identical memory area. We treat Shared Memory in this paper among big two branches of Shared Memory which are SVR in a kernel step format. We design a share memory facility of Linux operating system on the Dual Core System. In this paper the suggesting design plan of share memory facility in Dual Core system is enhancing the performance in existing unity processor system as a dual core practical use. We attempt a performance enhance in each CPU for each process which uses a share memory.

  • This paper represents a design of a 4 way SIMD processor with multi-thread and dual phase instruction pipeline. 8 threads can be performing in round-robin order, so any hazards can’t occur. The dual phase pipeline makes a pipeline operate as two pipelines, and it can fetch maximum 4 unit instructions at once. This variable length instruction set divide into first phase and second phase instructions, and with this function, complex branch and addressing can be executed at one clock cycle. This processor reduces the code size to quarter, pull out the doubled performance improvement than normal SIMD architecture.

  • Accelerating ability is one of the most important performance of the vehicle. Unlike conventional internal combustion vehicles and power-assist hybrid vehicles, the maximized acceleration of dual mode hybrid vehicles is not simply. achieved by maximizing engine or motor torque Because of the dynamic stability of planetary gear, speeds and torques control of engine, motor 1 and motor 2 is essential and according to control value, acceleration performance is changed There are two control values which are velocity and torque for each component totalling six. These six values can be variables for an objective function. However, because three velocity variables can be regarded as only one variable speed ratio and the remaining three torque variables can be solved analytically, without complicated numerical algorithm the solution for the objective function can be obtained. This optimized solution shows the best performance possible to the specified dual mode system.

  • In this paper, we propose dual-polarization technique which double the system capacity without increasing any other bandwidth. In theory, dual-polarization technique can double system capacity by using an orthogonal electromagnetic wave. However, cross-polarization interference and multipath interference degrade system performance in practice. To cope with this problem, we propose Cross Polarization Interference Canceller(XPIC) for ITS/DSRC system which can mitigate the XPI as well as multipath propagation interference. We also analyze and discuss its performance with relevant computer simulation results.

  • The Global Positioning System (GPS) provides more accurate positioning estimation performance by processing L1 and L2 signals simultaneously through dual frequency signal processing technology at the L-band rather than using only L1 signal. However, if anti-spoofing (AS) mode is run at the GPS, the precision (P) code in L2 signal is encrypted to Y code (or P(Y) code). Thus, dual frequency signal processing can be done only when the effect of P(Y) code is eliminated through the L2 signal processing technology. To do this, a codeless technique or semi-codeless technique that can acquire phase measurement information of L2 signal without information about W code should be employed. In this regard, this paper implements L2 signal processing technology where two typical codeless techniques and four typical semi-codeless techniques of previous studies are applied and compares their performances to discuss the optimal technique selection according to implementation environments and constraints.

  • In this paper, a method for implementing software for the control system with dual structure in processor module is proposed and implemented to enhance its reliability. In this implementation the multi-tasking function which is provided by a real-time operating system is applied. The overall softwre is divided into five tasks and is performed in each of the dual processor module, independently. By this, the processor module with dual structure can achieve a control objective and fault diagnostics effectively. An experimental result shows that the backup processor module can be substituted for the primary processor module immediately when it happens to fail, because data relating the failure information are exchanged continuously done via shared memories.

  • Display Unit(DU) of TCMS is very useful device display many data for operation and maintenance graphically. At This Time, rolling stock is reducing the wiring and size of desk for cutting down on their cost and making light weight. Dual Du(Display Unit) of TCMS could make the desk of cab simply by integrating cab's switches and gauges. Dual DU is not only can reduce the wiring and simplify desk of cab but also can making system of TCMS reliable by including backup function each other. For this reason. In this paper, advantages, application and example analysis of Dual DU of TCMS for rolling stock are described through the ongoing projects.

  • In this paper, we propose a design method using Taguchi method and a neural network. Using this method, we can design a dual-stage actuator having the required tracking/focusing properties in real time. Also, as an application of this method, a proposed dual-stage pick-up actuator having the required properties was designed. The seek time of this designed actuator is less than 13 msec by a time optimal technique. Simulation results show that this method can potentially be implemented in all the dual-stage actuators.

Dual-plane Stereoscopic PIV Measurement on the Lobed Jet Mixing Flow

  • In a continuing effect to study the mixmg enhancement by large-scale streamwise vortices in lobed mixing flows, an advanced PIV system named as dual-plane stereoscopic PIV system was used in the present study to conduct simultaneous vorticity (all three components) measurement of an air jet exhausted from a lobed nozzle. Unlike 'classical' 2-D PIV system or conventional 'single-plane' stereoscopic PIV system, the dual-plane stereoscopic PIV system used in the present study can obtain the flow velocity (all three components) fields at two spatially separated planes simultaneously. Therefore, it can provide the distributions of all the three components of vorticity vectors instantaneously and simultaneously. The evolution and interaction characteristics of the large-scale streamwise vortices and azimuthal Kelvin-Helmholtz vortices in the lobed jet mixing flow were revealed instantaneously and quantitatively from the measurement results of the dual-plane stereoscopic PIV system. The characteristics of the mixing process in the lobed jet mixing flow were analyzed based on the simultaneous measurement results of the steamwise vorticity and azimuthal Kelvin-Helmholtz vorticity distributions.
