In this paper, impulse response of giant magnetostrictive material (GMM) is identified by using M-transform. First, the displacement of GMM was measured by using the dual frequency laser interferometer. The noise included in the measured signal was removed by using M-transform. The impulse response of the GMM was identified from the input current of the driving coil and the displacement.

This letter presents an antenna design method for an orthogonally-polarized dual antenna for use in mobile stations (MSs) and includes a verification method for improving the link-level throughput performance of an MS that uses a proposed multiple-input multiple-output antenna. The link-level throughput performance of an MS is strongly related to the correlation between antenna branches, which is determined by the cross polarization discrimination of the second branch antenna, both numerically and experimentally.

In this study, we deals with the implementation of an optimal basis identification procedure for interior point methods. Our implementation is based on Megiddo’s strongly polynomial algorithm applied to Andersen and Ye’s approximate LP construction. Several techniques are explained such as the use of effective indicator for obtaining optimal partition when constructing the approximate LP, the efficient implementation of the problem reduction technique proposed by Andersen, the crashing procedure needed for fast dual phase of Megiddo’s algorithm and the construction of the stable initial basis. By experimental comparison, we show that our implementation is superior to the crossover scheme implementation.

In this paper, we introduce a fractional domination game arising from fractional domination problems on graphs and focus on its balancedness and concavity. We first characterize the core of the fractional domination game and show that its core is always non-empty taking use of dual theory of linear programming. Furthermore we study concavity of this game.

Most of multimedia processors for 2D/3D graphics acceleration use a lot of integer/floating point arithmetic units. We present a new architecture with an efficient ALU, built in a smaller chip size. It reduces instruction cycles significantly based on a foundation of multi-thread operation, variable length instruction words, dual phase operation, and phase instruction's coordination. We can decrease the number of instruction cycles up to 50%, and can achieve twice better performance.

In this paper, we use the PI dual control using do transformation(dq stationary frame and dq synchronous rotating frame) for series voltage sag and swell compensation algorithm. Analysis, simulation results are presented for voltage sags and swells on a three-phase unbalanced voltage source.

We explore the metallicity distribution of the Galactic halo based on the SDSS ugriz photometry. We use empirically calibrated sets of stellar isochrones to determine distances and metallicities of individual main-sequence stars in the halo. At heliocentric distances greater than 5 kpc, we find that the in situ photometric metallicity distribution reveals chemically divided dual halo components, which supports arguments from earlier studies based on the medium resolution spectroscopy. Our finding provides an unbiased estimate of relative fractions of each of these stellar components in the Galactic halo.

The classical algorithm for solving liner network flow problems are primal cost improvement method, including simplex method, which iteratively improve the primal cost by moving flow around simple cycles, which iteratively improve the dual cost by changing the prices of a subset of nodes by equal amounts. Typical iteration/shortest path algorithm is used to improve flow problem of liner network structure. In this paper we stdudied about the implemental method of shortest path which is a practical computational aspects. This method can minimize the best neighbor node and also implement the typical iteration which is $\varepsilon$-CS satisfaction using the auction algorithm of linear network flow problem
