인지측면을 고려한 자동차 IP 설계 (Cognitive-oriented Design of Automotive Instrument Panel)

  • The Design of automotive IP must be designed for improving safety, and for satisfying the consumer's preference and for enlarging the usability of various gauges and information displaydevices. Also, these objects become more important by regarded and will be treated very sensitively for the next-generation vehicle concepts. Therefore, Automotive IP must be designed to adjust these trends, besides accord with car-inner lifestyle. One of these concept's designs is to apply Human Sensibility Ergonomics. This study suggestes the driver-centered design of the IP components that focused on the audio unit and HVAC(Heat and Ventilation Air Conditioner) through cognitive experiment. Primarily, analyzed components of IP in use, then, combined these components (especially, the number and arry of buttons, the position of LCD panel, etc.) nd designed some sample images(prototypes) the same as real size. After the subjects looked at the sam ples at the interval of 0.2/0.4/0.6 seconds, subjects should fill out the given forms from their memory. Then, the optimal prototype of IP was designed in respect to the correctness of cognition. The results will show the basic guideline of optimal design of IP that in the case of aaudio unit, the position of LCD, the array and the number of channel, in the case of HVAC, the position of LCD, TEMP button type and other button types.

지게차 출발감각 평가지수 개발 (Development of Start Feel Index of a Forklift Truck)

  • In this paper the start fuel index was developed to estimate ride quality of a forklift truck during the start motion. Through the consultation with test drivers, definition of start feel was made, and three parameters were selected to describe the start motion. They are engagement shock in the forwarding direction, vertical and pitch vibration respectively. To find out the relation between the measured motion and the subjective fueling, both the subjective rating and the measurement of vehicle motions were performed simultaneously. The correlation analysis between the two kinds of results showed start fuel was expressed by the measured accelerations with accuracy and reliability, Use of the new index has advantages of not only evaluating start fuel only by the measured signals but providing the consistent results which are not affected by physical and mental state of a test driver. Usefulness of the new index was confirmed by verification test on four new forklift trucks of a same model, which showed the order of preference by the index was coincided that by subjective evaluation.

Ergonomic Design of the Gauge Cluster Display for Commercial Trucks

  • Objective: The purpose of this study is to determine the priority of information presentation and the effective menu type to be placed in the center of a gauge cluster display for commercial trucks and to present a set of ergonomic designs for the gauge cluster display. Background: An effective ergonomic design is specifically needed for the development of the gauge cluster display for the commercial trucks, because more diverse and heavier information is delivered to truck drivers, compared to the information to passenger car drivers. Method: First, all the information that must be shown on the commercial truck display was collected. Then, the severity, frequency of use, and display design parameters were evaluated for those information by commercial truck drivers. Next, an analysis on the information attributes and the heuristic evaluation utilizing the display design principles were carried out. According to the results, a design alternative of the main screen to be displayed was constructed by priority. A comparative analysis between the alternative and existing main screens was also conducted to see the efficacy of the designs. Lastly, we conducted an experiment for the selection of menu type. The experiment was conducted using the driving simulator with an eye-tracking device. The independent variables were four types of the menu reflecting the commercial truck characteristics such as grid type, icon type, list type, and flow type. We measured preference, total execution time, the total duration of fixation on the gauge cluster area, and the total number of fixation on the gauge cluster area as dependent variables. Results: Four types of driver convenience information and six types of driver assistance information were selected as the information to be placed primarily on the main screen of the gauge cluster. The Grid type was the most effective among the menu types. Conclusion: In this study, the information that appears on the main screen of the display, the division of the display and the design of the menu type for commercial truck drivers were suggested. Application: This study is expected to be utilized as guidelines on the ergonomic design of a gauge cluster display for commercial trucks.

미시적 시뮬레이션을 이용한 교통정책 대안별 자동차 배출가스 저감 효과 분석 (Feasibility Analysis of Traffic Policy Alternatives for the Depreciation Effect Analysis of Automotive Exhaust Gas using Microscopic Simulation)

  • 고도의 산업화와 경제발전으로 인한 자동차 의존적인 교통체계는 도심의 교통혼잡, 에너지소비, 대기오염과 소음, 교통사고 등과 같은 많은 문제를 유발하고 있는 실정이다. 특히, 도심에서 자동차로 인한 대기오염은 과거 산업활동에 의해 발생된 공해문제보다 더욱 심각한 수준에 이르고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 미시적 시뮬레이션을 이용하여 자동차 배출가스 저감 효과를 파악하고 경제성 분석을 통해 도심지에서 대기오염을 최소화 하면서 차량 소통을 원활히 할 수 있는 교통정책이 무엇인지를 파악하였다. 그 결과, 차량 요일제가 투자비용이 없어 가장 효과적인 방법인 것으로 나타났으나 시민들에게 강제성을 부여함으로써 자동차 수요를 억제시키기 때문에 시민들과의 공감대 형성이 무엇보다 중요하며, 다른 대안들과 병행하여 추진하는 것이 효과적일 것이라는 결론을 얻었다. 향후 연구과제는 선호의식 조사를 통해 시민들이 생각하는 자동차 배출가스의 대기오염 영향을 조사하고 본 연구 결과를 통해 나타난 차량 요일제 도입시 참여 의사를 조사하여 실제 교통정책 도입 가능성 등을 파악하는 연구를 진행 해야겠다.

음성 경고의 도로 공사구간 적용 가능성 평가 (Evaluation of the Feasibility of a Voice Alarm in a Highway Work Zone)

  • 도로공사구간의 안전성 증대를 위해 공사구간에 진입하는 운전자에게 전방상황에 대한 사전인지와 적절한 회피행동을 유도할 수 있는 경고정보를 제공하는 것은 효과적인 기술적 대안이 될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 지향성 스피커를 이용하여 운전자에게 음성경고를 제공하여 안전운전을 유도하는 기술의 타당성을 평가하였다. 이를 위해 현장실험을 수행하였으며, 운전자의 경고정보 인지도 및 선호도, 공사구간 접근차량의 속도, 그리고 소음을 평가지표로 설정하여 수집된 자료를 분석하였다. 분석결과, 음성경고가 도로공사구간에 접근하는 운전자의 주위 환기를 위해서 긍정적으로 사용될 수 있음을 확인하였다. 반면 소음으로 인한 부정적인 효과도 발생할 수 있음을 관찰하였다. 따라서 음성 경고 제공 방식에 대한 개선을 통해 음성 정보 제공의 실효성을 증대시킬 필요가 있다. 또한 본 연구의 결과물은 향후 공사구간 안전성 증대를 위한 체계적인 음성경고정보시스템 개발을 위해 유용한 자료로 활용될 것으로 기대된다.

데치는 시간에 따른 시금치나물의 교차 문화적 소비자 기호도 (Cross-cultural Consumer Acceptance of Cooked Spinach ($Sigeumchi-namul$) according to Blanching Time)

  • This research evaluated and analyzed the level of acceptability of spinach according to blanching time by testing consumer taste of corresponding countries for the purpose of globalizing Korean food. General taste, appearance, flavor, and texture of spinach blanched for 20 seconds were highly evaluated by Koreans and Japanese ($p$<0.05), who are used to the method of slightly blanching, mixing, and eating spinach. On the other hand, general taste, appearance, flavor, and texture of spinach blanched for 5 minutes was highly evaluated by the French ($p$<0.05), who are used to eating boiled spinach. Concerning the result of JAR, there were clear differences in hardness and boiling level according to country among spinach samples, even though they were blanched for the same time and mixed with the same spices. Koreans and Japanese evaluated that hardness and boiling level of spinach blanched for 20 seconds were proper, whereas the French evaluated that spinach scalded for 20 seconds was too raw and crispy. Under the same context, French consumers evaluated that hardness and boiling level of spinach blanched for 5 minutes was proper, whereas Koreans and Japanese evaluated that spinach blanched for 5 minutes was boiled too much. These results show that familiarity level is an important driver of affecting the preference levels for three kinds of spinach according to country.

퍼지 로직을 이용한 인간 친화적인 경로 설정에 관한 연구 (A Study on Human-friendly Path Decision using Fuzzy Logic)

  • 최근 들어 많은 차량이 네비게이션 시스템을 장착하고 있다. 초기의 시스템은 길을 안내하는 것이 주목적이었지만 여러 기술들의 발달로 다양한 기능이 추가되어 사용자에게 더욱 편리함을 주고 있다. 다양한 기록 매체를 재생할 수도 있고, 각각의 도로에 대한 유용한 정보도 알려주고, DMB 수신 장치를 장착하여 차량이 이동 중에 다양한 멀티미디어 콘텐츠를 이용할 수 있게 되었다. 그러나 아직까지 네비게이션 시스템에서 기본적이고 중요한 길 안내 기능은 크게 성장하지 못했다. 이에 본 논문에서는 외부환경, 운전자의 속도경향, 운전자 감정, 도로상태의 다양한 상황을 고려하여 운전자 상황에 맞는 인간 친화적인 경로 추천 방법을 제안한다. 또한 다양한 상황을 모듈화하여 각 상황의 알고리즘을 쉽게 수정할 수 있도록 계층적 구조로 구성하고 퍼지로직을 이용한다.

응급구조(학)과 학생의 취업진로선택 및 취업준비 현황 (Career Choice and Employment Preparation Condition for EMT Students)

  • Purpose : We investigated the career choice and the employment preparation of emergency medical technology (EMT) students. The results of study will provide the base information about the consciousness for career choice and employment of the EMT students. Method : We conducted 1,586 surveys from 665 students at six four-year colleges and 921 students at seven three-year colleges, from Aug. 27th to Oct. 31st in 2010. The result was analyzed by SPSS 18.0 using description statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe and Pearson correlation coefficient. Result : The general characteristics showed male 50.2% and female 49.8%, and first grade 34.6%, second grade 27.4%, third grade 28.2%, and fourth grade 9.8%. The 53.9% of students had experienced the hospital training and the 44.8% did the fire station training. For the choice of job, there were the 61.8% student who hope to enter the employ in fire station or public service, while 25.7% students hope to be employed in hospitals. The reason for a wish job were 'majors-related job' in 18.2% students, 'employment stability' in 17.2% and 'hit on the aptitude and talent' in 16.7%, 'appropriate salaries' in 15.9%. In the questionnaire of the University what to assist you for job preparation, they chose the 'support for get major related license', 'support for officer exam preparation' and 'support of foreign language study' in 34.6%, 16.8% and 16.6%, respectively. For achieved licence, they had a driver's license in 53.9%, BLS (basic life support) provider in 20.3%, life guard in 16.2% and scuba in 8.8%. The statistically significant correlation was identified between the awareness of University that provides job information and one's career awareness (r= .203, p<.000), the awareness that University provide job information and one's confidence in employment (r= .236, p<.000), and one's career awareness and one's confidence in employment (r = .356, p = .000). Conclusion : The most of EMT Students are well conscious of the their future employment and has prepared career to be employed their preference job.
