준설매립토지반의 압밀침하량 예측 (Prediction of Consolidational Settlement of Dredged and Reclaimed Ground)

  • For soils with high void ratios, the inverse method of utilizing results obtained from centrifuge model test was used to find the constitutive relation of effective stress - void ratio - permeability whereas conventional oedometer test and constant rate of strain consolidation test were also used to fine its relation at ranges of relatively low void ratio. Results of column test about settlement of interface and pore pressure and distribution with time were compared with numerically estimated values to confirm such a constitutive relation as obtained from the inverse method. Consolidational settlement in dredged and reclaimed ground, where the consolidation was in progress, was predicted by using the numerical technique implemented with the finite strain consolidation theory.

남해안 매립 해성점토의 물리적 특성과 압축지수의 상관성 분석 (Correlation Analysis between Physical Properties and Compression Index for Dredged and Reclaimed Marine Clay in the Southern Coast of Korea)

  • The single regression method was used to analyze the correlationship between the compression index with mechanical properties for reclaimed marine clays in the southern coast of Korea. As results of performing regression analysis for 200 samples about reclaimed marine clays in the southern coast of Korea, linear regression lines between compression index and natural water content, void ratio in situ, and liquid limit respectively wer obtained. The changed properties of soil due to disturbance during dredging and reclaiming could be investigated by comparing with the existing empirical correlation equations for the original ground where dredging was performed. These regression equations might be rationally used in the preliminary evaluation of settlement of dredged and reclaimed marine clayey ground in the southern coast of Korea.

준설매립지반에 대한 $\phi=0$ 해석의 적용성 (Application of the $\phi=0$ Analysis for Dredged and Reclaimed Ground)

  • 본 연구에서는 $\phi=0$ 조건에서 준설매립지반에 대한 지지력 산정의 문제점과 적용범위를 파악하기 위하여 2차 원모형재하시험을 실시하였고 기존의 제안식과 재하시험결과를 비교분석하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 재하판폭의에 해당되는 깊이까지의 평균비배수전단강도와 깊이 이내의 임의의 깊이에서 측정된 전단강도 값의 차이가 $\pm50%$ 이상일 경우에는 $\phi=0$ 해석을 단일층으로 고려할 경우 사용되는 지지력계수, Nc는 적용성이 떨어지는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 특별한 제안사항없이 포화된 점토에 적용하는 것으로 되어있는 $\phi=0$ 해석에 이용되는 지지력 계수, Nc=5.7, 5.14에 의한 준설매립지반의 지지력 산정은 불안전측의 값을 도출하여 적용성이 떨어지므로, 일축압축시험이 가능한 약 75% 이하의 함수비에서 적용이 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

국내 서해안 준설토의 침강압밀특성에 관한 실험 연구 (Experimental study on characteristics of sedimentation and consolidation for dredged clay in the west coastal of Korea)

  • Design parameters related to Yano's method(1984, 1985), one of experimental approaches having been used widely in Korea to estimate sedimentation and consolidation of dredged and reclaimed ground, were analyzed and their propriety were reassessed in this paper. Data analyses were performed on the basis of the settling test results using samples from the west coastal area of Korea. From analysis of results, for specific characteristics of these dredged and reclaimed marine soft clays, co-relations of initial water content - coefficient of sedimentation/ consolidation - initial setting velocity were evaluated. Relation between height of soil solid and surface height of slurry at the stages of initiation and termination of consolidation was also assessed. Finally ranges and average values of these design parameters were evaluated and typical empirical equations between these design parameters were also proposed.

준설매립지반의 세립토가 액상화 강도에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Liquefaction Resistence of Fine-Grained Soils on the Reclaimed Land)

  • Vibration triaxial compression test was put in influence for liquefaction strength of fine grained soil of dredged and reclaimed ground and consideration for fine fraction content, relative density, overconsolidation ratio and plasticity index in this study. By the results of these test, the liquefaction strength increased with fine fraction content and the relative density, overconsolidation ratio incresed with liquefaction strength too. However, in the case of nonplastic silt was the smalist liquefaction strength which influenced by dilatancy and interlocking when silt content was 34.7%(average grading 0.12mm). Therefore, liquefaction strength of fine grained soil of dredged and reclaimed ground increased with fine fraction content so it will help to make lower liquefaction.

  • 준설매립지반에서의 압밀침하는 종종 구조물에 큰 피해를 끼친다. 최근 국내에서는 대규모 프로젝트들이 대심도 연약지반 상에 계획 또는 진행 중에 있다. 따라서, 준설매립지반에 대한 압밀특성의 평가는 설계와 시공에 있어서 매우 중요하다고 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는, 광양항 인근 지역에서 채취한 시료를 이용, 준설매립지반의 압밀특성을 평가하기 위하여 압밀시험을 실시하였으며, 선행압밀하중은 기존에 제안된 8가지 방법들을 이용하여 산정하였다. 이중에서, 준설매립지반의 선행압밀하중 산정시, Becker(1987), Silva(1970), Sridharan(1991) 방법의 적용성이 뛰어난 것으로 평가되었다.

  • 본 연구는 사질토로 준설매립된 지반의 액상화 평가를 위해 반드시 요구되는 초기 밀도특성을 분석하였고, 국내 내진 설계기준에서 제시한 SPT-N을 이용한 액상화 간편예측 방법의 문제점을 분석하여 개선방안을 제시하였다. 기존 시공사례를 토대로 매립 직후 준설매립지반의 밀도특성을 분석한 결과, 상대밀도와 초기 N값은 대체로 각각 $40{\sim}50%,\;5{\sim}8$의 범위에 분포하였다. 액상화 간편예측에 있어서 유효상재압 보정의 Liao & whitman식은 항상 지진에 취약한 상부층이 하부층보다 액상화 저항응력이 크게 산정되어 Skempton식의 적용이 추천된다. 또한, 설계단계에서 준설매립 지반의 심도별 N값을 산정할 경우에는, 유효응력에 따른 N값의 변화를 나타내는 누승함수 $N=1.35{\sigma}^{'0.75}$를 이용하여 액상화 간편예측을 실시할 것을 추천한다.

서해안 저소성 준설매립 지반의 역학적 특성 (Mechanical Characteristics of Dredged and Reclaimed Ground with Low Plasticity from Western Coastal Site)

  • 실제 현장에서 준설매립공사를 수행하기 전의 설계 단계에서, 연약지반 개량설계를 수행할 때, 압축지수와 비배수 전단강도와 같은 설계정수를 합리적으로 평가하는 것은 최적공사비 산정측면에서 매우 중요한 사항이라고 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 유사 준설매립 현장에서 실시된 원위치 전단강도시험 및 불교란 시료 채취를 통해서 압밀 및 강도정수를 평가하였다. 이때, 배사관을 이용한 준설매립방법으로 투기된 준설매립층의 함수비 및 압축지수는 원지반 조건보다 오히려 감소하는 경향을 나타냈다. 압밀시험에 의해 준설매립지반의 압축지수와 함수비의 관계, 원위치 베인전단 시험으로 비배수 전단강도와 함수비의 관계를 각각 평가하였으며, 저소성 실트지반에 대한 Schmertmann의 압축지수 보정방법의 적용성을 판단하기 위해서 실제 침하량과 설계 예측침하량의 비교 분석을 실시하였다.

  • Consolidation settlements on marine dredged clays are often greatly and potentially damaging to structures. Currently, large-scale projects are in planning or progressing in Korea. These projects has been performed on thick and soft clay layers. So, the evaluation of long-term consolidation settlement is very important in design and construction. Therefore, In this study, a long-term consolidation characteristics of marine dredged clays are investigated. First, the relationship of $C_{\alpha}/C_c$ on marine dredged clays near Gwang-yang Port was evaluated. Second, long-term consolidation characteristics of the pseudo-preconsolidated ground were evaluated.

강제치환 거동특성에 관한 원심모형실험 (Centrifuge Model Experiments on Behaviour Characterisitc in Forced Replacement Method)

  • This thesis is results of centrifuge model experiments to investigate the behavior of replacement method in dredged and reclaimed ground. For experimental works, centrifuge model tests were carried out to investigate the behavior of replacement method in soft clay ground. Basic soil property tests were performed to find mechanical properties of clay soil sampled from the southern coast of Korea which was used for ground material in the centrifuge model tests. Reconstituted clay ground of model was prepared by applying preconsolidation pressure in 1g condition with specially built model container. Centrifuge model tests were carried out under the artificially accelerated gravitational level of 50g. Replacing material of leads having a certain degree of angularity was used and placed until the settlement of embankment of replacing material was reached to the equilibrium state. Vertical displacement of replacing material was monitored during tests. Depth and shape of replacement, especially the slope of penetrated replacing material and water contents of clay ground were measured after finishing tests. Model tests of investigating the stability of embankment after backfilling were also performed to simulate the behavior of the dike treated with replacement and backfilled with sandy material. As a result of centrifuge model test, the behavior of replacement, the mechanism of the replacing material being penetrated into clay ground and depth of replacement were evaluated.
