The Effects of College Life Adaptability on Career Preparation Behaviors of College Students: Mediating Effects of Major Satisfaction, Job Stress, and Self-Directed Learning

  • This study is a study to empirically verify the mediating effect on college life adaptation and career preparation behavior of college students. The purpose of this study is to empirically analyze the multi-mediated effects of major satisfaction, job stress, and self-directed learning. For this study, 216 university students were enrolled. For the collected data, SPSS Process macro was used. The result is as follows. First, there were multiple parallel mediating effects and multiple serial mediating effects on major satisfaction, job stress, and self-directed learning between college life adaptability and career preparation behavior. Second, the path of simple mediation and double mediation effect was found between college life adaptation and career preparation behavior. Based on the research, the necessity of revitalizing the program for revitalization of teaching activities and industry-academic cooperation activities in the major field and improvement of career preparation behavior and university life adaptation ability and follow-up research were suggested.

The Influences of Childhood Trauma, Rejection Sensitivity, Emotional Recognition Clarity on Displaced Aggression (아동기 외상, 거부민감성, 정서인식명확성이 전위공격성에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of childhood trauma, rejection sensitivity, and emotional recognition clarity on displaced aggression An online survey was conducted with 208 adults at H cyber university. Correlation analysis and double mediation effect analysis were performed through SPSS Win 25 and SPSS Process Macro, and the results are as follows. First, childhood trauma and rejection sensitivity showed positive correlations with displaced aggression, and emotional recognition clarity showed negative correlations. Second, in the relationship between childhood trauma and displaced aggression, rejection sensitivity was found to indirectly mediate, but emotional recognition clarity did not. Third, in the relationship between childhood trauma and displaced aggression, rejection sensitivity and emotional recognition clarity were found to be double-mediated. These results are expected to be used as basic data to reduce the displaced aggression of those who have experienced childhood trauma.

A Study on the Mediating Effect of Job Stress, Job Attitude, and Social Support in the Relationship between Client Violence and Social Worker's Job Response (클라이언트 폭력과 사회복지사의 직무반응 관계에서 직무스트레스와 직무태도, 사회적 지지의 매개효과)

  • This study investigated the effects of job stress, job attitude, and social support on the relationship between client violence and social worker job response. The multi-mediating effect of job stress, job attitude, and social support between client violence and social worker job response was empirically analyzed. 257 social workers in social welfare facilities were analyzed using SPSS. The following conclusions were drawn. First, there was a significant correlation between client violence, job stress, job attitude, social support, and job response variables. Client violence was affecting variables related to social worker job response. Second, job stress, job attitude, and social support had multiple mediating effects. The parallel mediation effect and the serial mediation effect were verified. Third, job attitude was found to be a variable of multiple mediating effects. Fourth, job stress and social support were found to be double mediating effect variables. In response, programs and manuals suitable for the type of social welfare facilities and the policy basis for preparing countermeasures for social workers were limited, and follow-up studies on various variables were suggested.

  • The purpose of this study was to verify the double mediating effects of job stress and psychological commitment in the relationship between organizational incivility and job satisfaction of child-care teachers in South Korea. 234 Korean child-care teachers were purposively selected from S city of C Province. SPSS Win.25.0 and PROCESS Macro 4.2 were used for analyzing the data, and reliability analysis, frequency analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple mediation model analysis were conducted. Results are as follows. First, correlation analysis showed significant correlations between organizational incivility, job stress, psychological commitment, and job satisfaction. Second, path analysis showed that organizational incivility had a positive effect on job stress and a negative effect on psychological commitment and job satisfaction. Job stress had a negative and significant effect on psychological commitment and job satisfaction, and psychological commitment had a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. Third, job stress and psychological commitment had consecutive double mediation in the link between organizational incivility and job satisfaction. This study suggests a way to utilize job stress and psychological commitment when childcare teachers' organizational incivility has a negative effect on job satisfaction.

The Influence of Diversity Management of Nursing Organization on Organizational Commitment: Double Mediating Effect of Diversity Sensitivity Orientation and Positive Nursing Organizational Culture (병원간호조직의 다양성관리가 조직몰입에 미치는 영향: 다양성수용도와 긍정간호조직문화의 이중매개효과)

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to identify the double mediating effect of effect of diversity sensitivity orientation and positive nursing organizational culture between diversity management and organizational commitment. Methods: Participants were 245 nurses working in six tertiary hospitals located in 3 different regions. Data collection was conducted from February 13, 2023 to March 6, 2023 through online self-reported questionnaire. The data were analyzed by IBM SPSS Statistics 27 and SPSS PROCESS Macro 4.2 program. Results: The direct effect of diversity management on organizational commitment was significant (β = .21, p < .001). The indirect effect of diversity management on organization commitment was .34 (95% confidence interval [CI] = .23~.47). The double mediating effect of diversity sensitivity orientation and positive nursing organizational culture in the relationship between diversity management and organizational commitment was .02 (95% CI = .00~.05). Conclusion: Diversity sensitivity orientation and positive nursing organizational culture show double mediating effect on the relationship between diversity management and organizational commitment. Education program and human resource management strategy for enhancing diversity management, diversity sensitivity orientation and positive nursing organizational culture should be provided to improve organizational commitment, and which are needed active support of the association and nursing organization.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of democratic and autocratic behavior type of dance art instructors in elementary dance education on class satisfaction focused on mediations of flow and perceived competence. A total of 500 questionnaires were distributed but insincerely replied or double-replied questionnaires were excluded and finally 453 questionnaires were analyzed for this study. For the analysis of the data, SPSS 18.0 version was used and double mediation model operating in serial, proposed by Hayes and a bootstrapping method were used. First, instructor's democratic behavior type was statistically positive effect on class satisfaction. However autocratic behavior type was statistically negative effect. Second, the indirect effect of instructor's democratic type and autocratic behavior type on class satisfaction through the flow were statistically positive significant. Third, the indirect effect of instructor's democratic behavior type on class satisfaction through the perceived competence was statistically significant. However autocratic behavior type was statistically negative effect. Lastly, the indirect effect of instructor's democratic and autocratic behavior types on class satisfaction through the flow and perceived competence were statistically positive significant.

Dual mediating effect of aesthetic ability and self-worth between creative personality and creativity of Chinese college students (중국 대학생의 창의적 성격과 창의성의 관계에서 심미적 능력과 자아가치의 이중매개효과)

  • This study aims to determine whether aesthetic ability and self-worth dually mediate in the relationship between creative personality and creativity among Chinese design college students. Data were collected through a survey targeting 500 college students purposively sampled from a design major university in Guangdong, China. The collected data was analyzed using SPSS PC+ Win ver. 25.0 and SPSS PROCESS macro ver. 4.2. The statistical methods applied were frequency analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and dual mediation effect analysis. The conclusion of the study is as follows. First, creative personality, aesthetic ability, self-worth, and creativity all showed significant positive correlations. Second, college students' aesthetic ability and self-worth double-mediated in the relationship between creative personality and creativity. Based on these results, this study proposed a plan to utilize not only creative personality but also aesthetic ability and self-worth to enhance the creativity of college students.

A Structural Equation Model of General High School Students' Happiness: Mediation Effect of Self-esteem and Resilience (일반고 고등학생의 행복감 구조모형: 자아존중감과 회복탄력성의 매개효과)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to develop a predictive model for happiness of students in general high schools. The study was based on the theory of happiness integration and the literature review. Methods: Data were collected using a convenience sample of 231 first and second grade students in five general high schools in D city and K Province. The exogenous variables were optimism as personality factors, parenting attitude, academic stress and friend's support as happiness. The endogenous variables were self-esteem and resilience as mediating variables, and happiness of students in general high schools. Data collection was done from March 14 to March 28, 2019. The AMOS 22.0 and SPSS programs were used to verify the validity of confirmatory factor analysis and hypothesis models. Results: The factors that have the greatest influence on happiness of high school students are self-esteem and resilience. The explanatory power of happiness by these variables was 98.1%. The individual mediating effect and double mediation effect of these variables were found to be significant. Conclusion: As student's optimistic personality, parent's positive parenting attitude, and friend's support improve student's self-esteem and resilience, ultimately positively affecting high school students' happiness, so it is necessary to consider these factors and try to develop a happiness improvement program.

  • This study aims to determine whether happiness and hope mediate in the relationship between growth mindset and academic achievement among Chinese college students. Data were collected through a survey targeting 337 college students purposively sampled at a university in Guangdong, China. The collected data was analyzed using SPSS PC+ Win ver. 25.0 and SPSS PROCESS macro ver. 4.2. The statistical methods applied were frequency analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and dual mediation effect analysis. The conclusion of the study is as follows. First, growth mindset, happiness, hope, and academic achievement all showed significant positive correlations. Second, college students' happiness and hope double mediated the relationship between a growth mindset and academic achievement. Based on these results, this study proposed a plan to utilize not only a growth mindset but also happiness and hope to improve the academic achievement of college students.

Relationship between Prescribed Perfectionism and Disordered Eating Behaviors :The Double Mediating Effects of Self-Compassion and Body Shame in Obesity Clinical Women (사회부과 완벽주의와 이상섭식행동 간의 관계에서 자기자비와 신체수치심의 매개효과: 비만클리닉을 내원하는 20~30대 여성을 대상으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to find the mediating effect of self-compassion and body shame between evaluative concerns prescribed perfectionism and disordered eating behaviors in obesity clinical women. For this purpose, 114 data samples were collected from the 20~39 ages currently enrolled in Seoul. The result of this study is the following. First, the prescribed perfectionism has a positive relation with body shame and disordered eating behaviors, however, it shows a negative relation with self-compassion. Also, there were negative relations between self-compassion and body shame, and self-compassion and disordered eating behaviors, in contrast to positive relations between body shame and disordered eating behaviors. Second, it was found that after investigating the mediation effect of self-compassion and body shame support in the influence between prescribed perfectionism and disordered eating behaviors, body shame turned out to have a significant mediation effect while self-compassion support did not. Third, self-compassion and body shame were identified as double mediation variables between the prescribed perfectionism and disordered eating behaviors. This result inspires the clinical women disordered eating behaviors and can be useful in obesity clinical women counseling settings. Meanings, limitations and suggest for future research were discussed.
