동강(東江) 조수호(趙守鎬) 문인화(文人畵)의 진정(眞情) (The true state of literiti paintings for Donggang suho Jo)

  • 동강 조수호(1924~2016, 이하 '동강')는 최근세에 활동하였던 서예가이면서 문인화가였다. 그는 생존시 세계서단의 일대(一代) 종사(宗師)라고 칭하여진 인물이다. 그가 가지는 미(美)에 대한 인식은 인간의 본능에 의하여 체화된 예술관에 기인하고 있다. 특히 그는 서화를 접(接)의 예술로 보고 있다. 따라서 접의 의미를 '사귀다', '교제하다'와 같은 남녀의 키스, 운우(雲雨)의 정(情)으로 인식하고 있다. 이와 같이 그의 문인화는 예술에 대한 폭넓은 고민과 탐구에서 비롯되었다. 그는 미(美)에 대하여 보편적이고 일반적인 관점에서 예술창조의 원리를 인식하였다. 이를 바탕으로 진정한 예술정신과 예술철학의 의의를 정립하였다. 묵죽과 묵난으로 동강의 문인화의 단면을 살펴보면 그의 묵죽은 무윤(無潤)과 고삽(苦澁)의 심미성이 있다. 또한 묵난은 아(雅)와 운(韻)이 속(俗)에 거(居)하는 것으로 심미된다. 이같이 그의 인품과 학문은 그의 문인화가 되었다.

국내에서 수집된 주요 왕포아풀(Poa pratensis L.)의 개화 및 형태적 특성 (Blooming and Morphological Characteristics of Korean Native Kentucky bluegrass(Poa pratensis L.) Ecotypes)

  • In this study, about 80 Kentucky bluegrass (Poa pratensis L.) ecotypes native to Korea were collected annually to analyze their morphology and growth characteristics from 1995 to 2007. Kentucky bluegrass ecotypes with superior characteristics of 'Pureundle' (Trial No. : P38), 'Sewon' (P77), 'Inje' (00034), 'Donggang' (00052), 'Hwasun' (01001), 'Pyengchang' (01071), 'Kongju' (02006), 'Chungsong' (02077), and 'Kumsan' (03005) and three foreign cultivars were transplanted to flowerpots in May 8, 2006 in order to analyze the blooming and morphological characteristics. Out of the selected superior ecotyes, six were collected on the roadsides, two were collected around paddy or dry fields, and one was collected at riverside. Length of 1st internode of 'Chungsong' was the longest (30.7cm), that of 'Pyengchang' was the shortest (12.8cm), and ecotypes showed variation in length. The 1st angle of branches of 'Donggang' was the narrowest ($141.7^{\circ}$), that of 'Hwasun' was the widest ($188.3^{\circ}$), and that of the introduced foreign cultivars were between $159.3^{\circ}$ and $166.7^{\circ}$. The number of nodes of the introduced cultivars were same (six), while that of Korean ecotypes were four to six. Length of flowering culm of 'Chungsong' was the longest (50.7cm) and while that of 'Pyengchang' was the shortest (19.2cm). 'Donggang' with the highest seed yield showed relatively high (36.8cm) inflorescence height when compared to other ecotypes. The five ecotypes of 'Sewon', 'Inje', 'Donggang', 'Pyengchang', and 'Kongju' were investigated to have relatively wide leaf width. Especially 'Sewon' and 'Inje' were investigated to have wide leaves of 4.5mm and over.

동강 일대의 육상 곤충 다양성에 관한 연구 (Terrestrial Insect Diversity of the Donggang River in Korea)

  • 본 년도 동강 유역 주간 육상곤충 2013 조사 결과 총 16목 117과 455종 3,001개체가 조사되었다. 분류군별 출현한 종수는 딱정벌레목 166종(36.48%), 노린재목 11종(24.0%), 나비목 68종(14.95%), 파리목 40종(8.79%), 벌목 28종(6.15%), 메뚜기목 18종(3.96%), 잠자리목 7종(1.54%), 기타 3.74%, 개체수는 딱정벌레목 996개체(33.2%), 노린재목 951개체(31.7%), 나비목 662개체(20.7%), 메뚜기목 155개체(5.2%), 파리목 100개체(3.3%), 벌목 87개체(2.9%), 잠자리목 30개체(1.0%), 기타 (2.0%). 그 중 환경부 지정 멸종위기 II급 1종, 한국 적색목록 위급종(CR) 1종, 취약종(VU) 7종, 준위협종(NT) 2종이 조사되었다. 문헌에 비해 총 4목 33과 266종이 새로이 추가되어 동강의 주간 육상곤충은 총 17목 183과 1,737종을 보고한다.

동강유역 생태·경관보전지역 내 매수토지 생태복원사업 인식도 연구 (A Study on Recognition of Land Acquisition for Ecology Restoration Project in Ecological and Landscape Conservation Area of Donggang River Basin.)

  • A protected area means a space designated and protected by law from development pressure and environmental pressure. It is mainly designated to protect specific ecosystems, natural landscapes, and cultural resources from irrational development (or damage), and involves policies of the public sector such as central and local governments. The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has conducted conservation and restoration projects for preserving natural ecosystems and genetic resources. In order to conserve the ecosystem in the protected area, national and public organizations purchase private land and use it ecologically; in addition, ecological restoration project is carried out for the purpose of creating waterside ecological belt or preserving ecosystem. Land acquisition refers to the land where highly influenced by the water quality and need to restore, and purchased by negotiating with the landlord. Although the nation and public institution carried out ecosystem restoration project for partial purchase land in order to conserve ecosystem, it is below the expected effect due to lack of comprehensive management system and have some problems in restoration project and unification of management institutions. Land acquisition in Donggang River Basin Ecological Conservation area is initiated in 2005 for creating income of local residents and ecological restoration. However, the lack of overall management and awareness resulted in poor vegetation growth and poor response by local residents due to terrain exposure. As such, there is insufficient research on the current situation and systematic integrated management although the number of land acquisition is increasing year after year. Futhermore, overall recognition and follow-up monitoring of eco-restoration are still inadequate. Therefore, the survey on the awareness of the purchase land ecosystem restoration project is necessary for the efficient restoration project and establishment of the management strategy for land acquisition in the future. Therefore, in this study, we provide fundamental materials on further research projects by carrying out research on the awareness of ecological restoration projects in the Donggang River basin ecological preservation area.

A Research on the Nuclear Deterrence Strategy of South Korea through Dispute of India and Pakistan

  • From Cold War, Nuclear weapons have emerged military power into a very dangerous and important way of each national security. Throughout the era, the U.S. had stationed nuclear weapons in South Korea. But President George Bush initially started the withdrawal of nuclear tactical weapons deployed abroad in 1991. After that, under the protection of the nuclear umbrella, South Korea guarantees that the United States would operate its nuclear weapons to protect South Korea if it would be needed and the economy of South Korea has rapidly developed as more strong countries in the world. However, South Korea has seen and been realized the present state from the recent war between Russia and Ukraine. The protection of the U.S. nuclear umbrella from nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles of North Korea is unlikely to be permanently guaranteed. At the same time, South Korea should consider the security environment changes of surrounding nations such as China as military power acceleration and Russia as re-formation ambition. Because of these reasons, South Korea independently wants to protect itself and have the own nuclear weapons as a way to counter security threats. A majority of South Koreans also definitely believe that North Korea will not denuclearize or give up because North Korea has been having nuclear weapons as the final survival strategy of Kim Jong Un's regime. However, South Korea considers and makes new nuclear strategy through the role and effect of nuclear deterrence strategy in dispute between India and Pakistan and how to overcome the paradox of nuclear deterrence strategy. Therefore, this research is to suggest the effective nuclear deterrence strategy of South Korea from new security threats of surrounding nations through dispute between India and Pakistan. The focus of this research is that what is the role and paradox of nuclear deterrence strategy in dispute between India and Pakistan and how to find the effective nuclear deterrence strategy of South Korea.

국내에서 수집된 주요 왕포아풀(Poa pratensis L.)의 생육 특성 (Growth Characteristics of Korean Native Kentucky Bluegrass(Poa pratensis L.) Ecotypes)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the growth characteristics of native Kentucky bluegrass (Poa pratensis L.) collected in Korea. Out of Kentucky bluegrasses collected in 2000 and 2008, eight ecotypes ("Pyengchang," "Gongju," "Inje," "Donggang," "Hwasun," "Pureundle," "Cheongsong," and "Geumsan") were planted in experimental fields and pots on May 11, 2008 and May 3, 2009, respectively, for analyzing their growth characteristics. Data such as visual quality (1-9), visual density (1-9), visual color (1-9), plant height, leaf length and leaf width were analyzed. The visual quality of "Pyengchang," "Inje" and "Gongju" were enhanced compared to the rest native ecotypes of Kentucky bluegrass. "Pyengchang" showed the best visual density while "Gongju" and "Inje" showed almost evenly favorable density. However, "Pureundle," "Cheongsong," and "Geumsan" represented loose density due to the damage from the summer climate of high temperature and humidity in 2009. As for visual color, "Pyengchang" was also ranked first, maintaining high values of at least 7.6 even in the summer climate of high temperature and humidity. "Donggang" showed good color immediately after planting in the experimental field in 2008, however, undesirable color due to the damage from the summer climate of high temperature and humidity in 2009.

강원특별자치도 평창 백룡동굴 동굴수의 지구화학적 특성 (Geochemical Characteristics of Baengnyongdonggul Cave Water, Pyeongchang, Gangwon State)

  • 이 연구는 백룡동굴 내 동굴수의 지구화학 특성을 평가하고 이를 이용하여 동굴수의 기원 및 유동특성을 평가하기 위해서 수행하였다. 2022년 6월부터 2023년 5월까지 백룡동굴 주변 동강에서 2개 지점(WE1과 WE2)과 내부 4개 지점(WE3~WE6)에서 하천수와 동굴수를 각각 채취하여 주요 용존성분을 분석하였다. 하천수와 동굴수는 모두 Ca-HCO3형으로 구분되었다. 모든 동굴수에서 탄산염 광물이 과포화 상태이므로 동굴 내부에서 탄산염 광물이 침전될 것으로 예측되었다. 동굴수는 기원지와 물-암석 반응 정도의 차이로 인해 흐름이 있는 지점(WE3과 WE6)과 휴석소(WE4와 WE5)의 지구화학 특성이 뚜렷이 구분되었다. WE6은 동강으로부터 유입되었고 WE3을 통과하여 동강으로 유출된다. WE4와 WE5는 강수로부터 공급되지만 서로 다른 경로를 통해 동굴로 유입된다.

  • While preparing a floristic study of Korean hepatics, we discovered four unrecorded species collected from Mt. Geumo, Donggang river, Mt. Deokhang, and Mt. Naebyeon in Korea. Plagiochila shangaica Steph., Porella stephaniana (C. Massal.) S. Hatt., Porella chinensis (Steph.) S. Hatt., Solenostoma horikawanum (Amakawa) V$\acute{a}\check{n}$a, Hentschel & J. Heinrichs are reported for the first time in Korea here.

  • 유역 및 하천지형을 해석하기 위해 이전에는 지형도와 경험에 의존한 연구가 주로 이용되었으나 최근에는 파생되는 많은 자료를 효과적으로 분석하기 위해 GIS와 원격탐사 자료를 사용하는 컴퓨터 시스템이 도입되고 있다. 이 연구는 동강유역을 대상으로 GIS와 원격탐사 기법을 사용하여 유역과 하천지형을 분석하였으며, 또한 연륜 연대학적 방법으로 하상퇴적지의 생성연대를 추정하였다. 따라서 이 연구를 통하여 제작된 하상미지형도, 유역구분도, 하천차수도는 동강보존에 유효한 자료로 사용될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

  • 본 연구에서는 VFF와 신경망을 이용한 자율 주행 로봇의 조향 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안된 신경망 조향 시스템은 센서시스템, 가중치 제어를 위한 역전파 학습 제어기, 실시간 동작을 위한 모션 제어 시스템으로 구성된다. 시뮬레이션 결과는 제안된 조향 시스템이 어떤 환경하에서도 강인하게 운영 될 수 있음을 보인다.
