프로판/이소부탄(R-290/R-600a) 혼합 냉매를 적용한 가정용 소형 멀티 냉동시스템의 성능특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Performance Characteristics of Propane/Isobutane Refrigerant Mixtures in a Domestic Small Multi-Refrigeration System)

  • In this paper, the performance of Kim-chi refrigerator with three evaporator and one compressor was investigated in employing $55\%$ propane and $45\%$ isobutane (R290/R600a) refrigerant mixture as an alternative refrigerant of R134a. The drop-in test was performed by varying both refrigerant charge and capillary tube length in order to find both the performance and reliability of a small multi-refrigeration system. Results show that the power consumption is decreased by about $15\%$ and COP is increased by about $10\%$, respectively as compared to the baseline system using R-134a. In addition, the propane/isobutane refrigerant mixture system took advantage of the minimization of modification and redesigning of system components because thermodynamic properties such as saturation pressure, temperature, normal boiling point(NBP) characteristics are similar to those of R134a. The reduction of sales cost is caused by the decrease of refrigerant cost per unit mass and refrigerant charge amount necessary for the refrigeration system.

Improving the Reliability of a Reciprocating Compressor for Applications in a Refrigerator

  • To enhance the reliability of a newly designed reciprocating compressor applied in a domestic compressor, accelerated life tests were developed using new definitions of the sample size and the $B_1$ life index. In $1^{st}$ accelerated life testing, the compressor was locked due to the fracture of the suction reed valve. The failure modes and mechanisms of the suction reed valve in the accelerated tests were found to be similar to that of the failed product in the field. The root cause of the failure was the overlap between the suction reed valve and the valve plate in the suction port. The missing parameters in the design phase were modified by expanding the trespan size, introducing tumbling process, changing the material and thickness for the valve, introducing a ball peening and brushing process for the valve plate. In $2^{nd}$ accelerated life testing, the compressor was locked due to the interference between the crank shaft and thrust washer. The corrective plan was to heat treat the crank shaft. The $B_1$ life of the compressor improved from 1.5 to 12.9 years.

Effects of HACCP System Implementation on Domestic Livestock Product Plants

  • The objective of this study was to investigate the problems and benefits associated with the implementation of HACCP on livestock product of plants in Korea. The survey was carried out by randomly selecting 115 HACCP accredited meat processing plants, all across the country. A total of 105 complete responses were selected for analysis. The results were as follows: approximately 60% of the respondents employed less than twenty workers. The average period of operating HACCP system was 3.4 years. The respondents replied that the major incentive to implement the HACCP system was to improve hygiene management ability. More than half of the respondents (59.05%) claimed that the implementation of the HACCP system cost less than 400 million won, and the highest investment in terms of cost was the freezer/refrigerator. In the preparation period taken to implement the HACCP system, the 6-12 mon category had the highest percentage (55.24%). Most respondents replied that there was an increase in the customer satisfaction, plant image and turnover, after HACCP implementation (p<0.05). A total of 98.09% of respondents had the opinion that their plant workers had improved in their understanding of food hygiene by HACCP implementation (p<0.05). Approximately 79% of respondents indicated that customer complaints decreased, as a result of HACCP implementation.

가정용 식품 냉장고와 냉동고의 내부 온도 분포 실태 조사 (Investigation of Internal Temperature Distribution in Domestic Refrigerators and Freezers)

  • 본 연구는 국내 가정에서 사용하고 있는 냉장고 및 냉동고의 온도 분포에 대한 현황을 파악하기 위하여 냉장고 대상 25가구, 냉동고 대상 25가구를 선정하고 온도 측정을 시행하였다. 가정용 냉장 및 냉동고의 실제 공간상의 온도 분포 조사 결과, 냉장고 대상 가구에서 측정된 온도는 최저 -8.2℃, 최고 15.8℃, 평균 3.73℃로 조사되었으며, 공간 위치별 온도 분포는 문 보관 칸 5.06±1.69℃, 내부벽면 4.18±1.19℃, 내부 보관함 3.41±1.36℃로 내부 보관함의 온도가 가장 낮았고, 각 위치에서 상단 및 하단의 유의적인 온도 차이는 문 보관 칸에서만 확인되었다(P<0.01). 냉동고 대상 가구에서 측정된 온도는 최저 -30.3℃, 최고 0.7℃, 평균 -17.95℃로 조사되었으며, 공간 위치별 온도 분포는 문 보관 칸 -17.19±1.68℃, 내부 벽면 -17.81±1.07℃, 내부 보관함 -18.78±1.72℃로 냉장고 결과와 동일하게 내부 보관함의 온도가 가장 낮고, 문 보관 칸에서만 상·하단의 유의적인 온도 차가 확인되었다(P<0.01). 냉장·냉동고 내에서 위치별 최대 온도 차이는 각각 2.18℃, 2.02℃로 확인되었으며, 결론적으로 냉장·냉동고 전체의 온도가 일정하게 유지되는 것이 아니며, 보관되는 위치별로 유의적인 편차가 존재하는 것으로 나타났다. 이에 따라 냉장·냉동고 제조사와 공공기관에서 식품별 권장 보관 위치를 고객들에게 적극적으로 권고하고, 각 가정에서는 온도 변화에 민감한 식품을 보관할 경우 문쪽 보관을 지양하는 등 보관관리 의식을 가져야 할 것으로 사료된다.

3점 언더레일 슬라이드의 롤포밍 공정에 대한 성형해석연구 (A Study on Forming Analysis for the Roll Forming Process of 3 Point Under Rail)

  • Roll forming process is one of the most widely used processes in the world for forming metals such as a furniture drawer guide or an up and down slide guide. It can manufacture goods of the uniform cross section on a large scale throughout the continuous processing. In the domestic design and manufacture, roll forming process for production is taking most of the method of 2-point under rail slide. However, this method is vulnerable to the structural strength and stiffness is not suitable for high load conditions. Therefore, through systematic study of high load, low noise 3-point ball type of under rail slide its own design and manufacturing technology is the need to build. In this paper, to make center member of 3-point ball-type under rail slide for the refrigerator doors, the roll forming modeling and simulation are performed. Tensile test is performed about SCP-1 1/2H for determine the mechanical properties of materials. Modeling and simulation of roll forming is used MSC.MARC software of a dedicated analysis program used by rigid plastic finite element method. Interference between the roll and the final shape are predicted from the results of the simulation.

Effect of Gaseous Ozone Exposure on the Bacteria Counts and Oxidative Properties of Ground Hanwoo Beef at Refrigeration Temperature

  • This study was designed to elucidate the effect of ozone exposure on the bacteria counts and oxidative properties of ground Hanwoo beef contaminated with Escherichia coli O157:H7 at refrigeration temperature. Ground beef was inoculated with 7 Log CFU/g of E. coli O157:H7 isolated from domestic pigs and was then subjected to ozone exposure ($10{\times}10^{-6}kg\;O_3h^{-1}$) at $4^{\circ}C$ for 3 d. E. coli O157:H7, total aerobic and anaerobic bacterial growth and oxidative properties including instrumental color changes, TBARS, catalase (CAT) and glutathione peroxidase (GPx) activity were evaluated. Ozone exposure significantly prohibited (p<0.05) the growths of E. coli O157:H7, total aerobic and anaerobic bacteria in ground beef samples during storage. Ozone exposure reduced (p<0.05) the CIE $a^*$ value of samples over storage time. The CIE $L^*$ and CIE $b^*$ values of the samples fluctuated over storage time, and ozone had no clear effect. Ozone exposure increased the TBARS values during 1 to 3 d of storage (p<0.05). The CAT and GPx enzyme activities were not affected by ozone exposure until 2 and 3 d of storage, respectively. This study provides information about the use of ozone exposure as an antimicrobial agent for meat under refrigerated storage. The results of this study provide a foundation for the further application of ozone exposure by integrating an ozone generator inside a refrigerator. Further studies regarding the ozone concentrations and exposure times are needed.

The Relationship of a Combination of Human Adipose Tissue-Derived Stem Cells and Frozen Fat with the Survival Rate of Transplanted Fat

  • Background The survival rate of grafted fat is difficult to predict, and repeated procedures are frequently required. In this study, the effects of the freezing period of harvested adipose tissue and the addition of human adipose tissue-derived stem cells (ASCs) on the process of fat absorption were studied. Methods Adipose tissue was obtained from patients who underwent a lipoaspirated fat graft. The fat tissue was cryopreserved at $-20^{\circ}C$ in a domestic refrigerator. A total of 40 nude mice were used. The mice in the experimental group received three different subcutaneous injections in the back: an injection of fresh fat and ASCs, an injection of fat that had been frozen for one month and ASCs, and an injection of fat that had been frozen for two months and ASCs. The control mice received fat grafts without ASCs. The mice were sacrificed at four or eight weeks after the procedure, and the grafted fat tissues were harvested. The extracted fat was evaluated using photographic analysis, volume measurements, and histological examination. Results In the control group, the fat resorption rates four weeks after transplantation in the grafts of fresh fat, fat that had been frozen for one month, and fat that had been frozen for two months were 21.14%, 22.46%, and 42.56%, respectively. In the experimental group, the corresponding resorption rates were 6.68%, 13.0%, and 33.9%, respectively. Conclusions ASCs can increase the fat graft survival rate. The use of ASCs in fat grafting can reduce the need for repeated fat grafts and provide good long term results.

관공호텔 조리직무의 분업과 통합에 따른 문제점과 개선방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on Effective Management & Administration System for Deluxe Hotel Kitchen in Seoul Area.)

  • Despite prologed business stagnation of both international and domestic economy, hotel business as well as tourist industry has continuously been keeping growing, owing to increase of surplus income and world flowing population. During recent 4 years, growth rate of yearly mean in domestic hotels reached 9.9% and especially that of the superior class hotels 15.2%. In the composition of domestic tourist hotel's revenue, the earnings of guest rooms form 37.4%, on the other hand those of food & beverage 39.9%. This result is that our hotel business is concentrated on its interest in FOOD & BEVERAGE of which productivity per unit dimension can be increased to an unlimited extent and extent and superior class hotels strengthened in F&B are increasing in comparison with European or American hotels which are focused on guest rooms in their management. For value added rate of F&B is low as compared with increase of their earnings, they are interested in the management techniques which focus on rising the rate. As for the cost of Food & Beverage, personnel expenditure forms 36.5% and the direct materials 31.5%. Therefore how to manage personnel and materials costs which compose as much as 68% of total revenue will greatly affect net profit. We can say that an effective management technique in cost of Food & Beverage is one of the most important know-hows in hotel management. Especially management know-how for the Kitchen Department where the most of foods come out makes a great effects on various expenses, productivity and it is the achievement from hotel management. For the most of the hotel's top managers, they don't seriously take the fact that KITCHEN SYSTEM affects greatly total expenditure. This study starts from the point of recognizing the question of fundamental cause affecting tow largest cost elements incurred in Food & Beverage and trying to present an effective kitchen system. To settle the questions raised, I compared and analyzed productivity and cost of food & beverage and unit kitchen centered around superior class hotels in Seoul, which vary in Kitchen Systems. In order to attain the aforementioned study effectively purpose of this study, I compared Room-Service and Coffee-Shop Menu, flow of basic food in the kitchen, extent and result of division of labor and integration in the kitchen, scale of outlet kitchen, productivity, the turnover rate of food in store, food cost rate one another which all vary in Kitchen Systems. All these elements are compared and analyzed each other being divided into two main groups such as①. Main Production kitchen and Banquet Kitchen, and ②. coffee-shop kitchen and Room-service Kitchen. Therefore this study is to point out the problems in managing kitchens of superior class hotels which are different in systems. An effort was made to find out the better Kitchen System for superior deluxe hotels. I emphasize the followings on the proper scale of division of labor and integration of unit kitchen and a disposition plan for outlet kitchens of restaurant. First, KITCHEN SYSTEM as a sub-system of Hotel Management System is composed of sub-systems of outlet unit kitchen. Basic food materials are cooked and served for the guests while support kitchen and out restaurant kitchen interact organically each other. So Kitchen should be considered as a system composed of integrated sub-systems. Second, support and banquet kitchens should be integrated to be managed. And these unit kitchens have to be designed to be placed in the back of banquet rooms area. Third, coffee-shop kitchen and room-service kitchen should be integrated to be managed. Fourth, several unit business kitchens should be place on the same floor. Fifth, main production kitchens ought to be located near the loading duck, food store and large refrigerator. Sixth, considering the limits of supervision, duties should be adjusted as 12-20 cooks in two shifts a day for a sub-kitchen, and 18-30 cooks in three shifts a day so that labor division can be made. Last, I would like to two points for direction and task of future study. Firstly, I compare the effective income and increasing costs each other, which are incurred by increasing the use rate of the second processing materials for foods perched outside and through the results. I can find out the better points of the processing production and circulation system, and then I study this effects made on hotel kitchen system. Secondly, I can point out that more efficient kitchen system shall be established through comparing and analyzing the matter of amount of indirect costs and flow of food in different kitchen systems.

빙축열냉방시스템의 운전효율에 관한 조사연구 (Study and Survey of Operating Efficiency with Cool Storage System)

  • 우리나라에 보급된 축냉시스템 이용효율 향상과 전력사용 합리화 방안을 제시함으로써 빙축열 시스템의 보급활성화를 통한 하절기 피크부하 경감에 기여코자 빙축열 설비의 성능시험을 실시한 결과 COP주간 3.8, 축열 3.0대비 30% 이상 성능이 감퇴한 주간 2.6∼3.4, 축열 2.1∼3.0정도로 냉동기가 가동되고 있으며, 축열율은 15개 건물 중 3개 건물(21.4%)만이 축열능력 대비 40% 이상의 축열을 실시하고 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 이처럼 운전성능 감퇴를 개선하기 위하여는 축냉(빙축열)설비 운전시 빈번히 발생하는 3-Way 밸브오동작, 냉각능력 감소, 팽창밸브 동작 부적절, 운전모드별 제어설정 오류 등에 의한 축냉능력 감퇴현상을 시정하고, 냉동기의 브라인배관 By-pass, Ice Slurry system운전모드별 배관분리, 냉온수펌프의 회전수제어 등의 배관계통 개선검토가 필요하며, 축냉(비축열) 시스템특징 별로는 Ice on Coil system은 냉방부하 확장성에 제약, Ice Ball system은 축열조의 수밀유지, Ice lens system의 제빙운전시 COP 저하, Ice Slurry system은 주간 운전시 저온운전에 따른 낮은 COP, Ice Harvest system은 Hot Gas 탈빙으로 동력손실증가 등에 대한 개선이 향후 축냉(빙축열)시스템의 운전성능 향상을 위해 필요한 것으로 도출되었다.

Babesia gibsoni의 적혈구내 배양법과 진단법 개발에 관한 연구 1. Babesia gibsoni 진단을 위한 간접형광항체법(IFAT)과 효소표지면역검사법(ELISA) (Intraerythrocytic culture and development of serological diagnostic tests of Babesia gibsoni 1.   • Indirect fluorescent antibody test(IFAT) and enzyme-linked imuunosorbent assay (IgG-ELISA) as serological diagnostic tools were conducted to evaluate the usefulness for diagnosis of canine babesiosis infected with Babesia gibsoni in domestic various dog breeds, american pit bullterrier, military shepherd, and mongrel dogs. The results obtained from this study were abstracted as follows. The nonionic detergent Triton X-100 and absorbent bio-bead $SM_2$ were useful reagents for the preparation of pure merozoite antigen of B gibsoni to be used in ELISA. The optimum reaction in ELISA was shown when the protein concentration of ELISA antigen was measured as 625ng/ml and the conjugate concentration was diluted into 1/6000 fold. The average OD value of ELISA in sera determined with negative responses in IFAT was measured as $0.255{\pm}0.051$(490nm) and the cut - off value of OD was determined as 0.399(490nm). The serum antibodies in both of IFAT and ELISA were detected on one week after artificially infected with B gibsoni and these high antibody titers, 512X in IFAT and 1024X in ELISA, were long lasted until 15 weeks after infection. The reproducibility of reaction and stability of the antigen absorbed microtitration polystyrene plate preserved in $4^{\circ}C$ refrigerator and $-20^{\circ}C$ freezer, respectively could be lasted until 135 days after storage. The positive rates in IFAT by dog breeds were shown 8.1%(60/744 heads) in mongrel dogs, 81.3%(78/96 heads) in american pit bullterrier and 15.6%(15/96 heads) in military shepherd, while the positive rate in ELISA shown 17.6%(131/744 heads) in mongrel dogs, 83.3%(80/96 heads) in american pit bullterrier and 36.5%(35/96 heads) in military shepherd, respiectively. In the total of 936 heads surveyed with IFAT and ELISA the positive rates in IFAT and ELISA were 16.4%(153/936 heads) and 26.3%(246/936 heads), respectivily. Agreement of reactions between IFAT and ELISA was shown 82.4% in 936 dog sera. The specificity and sensitivity of ELISA reaction were 83.5% and 76.5%, respectively. From the conclusion obtained in this study it was evaluated that IFAT and ELISA were useful as highly specific, sensitive and stable serelogical tools for the diagnosis of canine babesiosis in Korea.
