  • This research proposes a concept of multi-aspect Social IoT platform that enables human, machine and service to communicate smoothly among them, as well as a means of an automatic process for transforming exiting domain knowledge representation to generic ontology representation used in the platform. Current research focuses on building a machine-based service interoperability using sensor ontology and device ontology. However, to the best of our knowledge, the research on building a semantic model reflecting multi-aspects among human, machine, and service seems to be very insufficient. Therefor, in the research we first build a multi-aspect ontology schema to transform the representation used in each domain as a part of IoT into ontology-based representation, and then develop an automatic process of generating multi-aspect IoT ontology from the domain knowledge based on the schema.

  • Voice of IP(VoIP) technology Provides voice service as well as data service via Internet. It has been a promising technology as Internet grows fast and the requirements are increasing. Among the standardized protocols for VoIP, H.323 has been one of the most developed technologies and widely used. Recently, the requirements for standardization of inter-domain interoperability is raised, since it has been developed by focusing on intra-domain service. To meet such requirements, IMTC(International Multimedia Telecommunications Consortium. Inc.) and VoIP Forum have elaborated on interoperability standard based on H.323, respectively in international and domestic markets. In this paper, we describe the call model and specify required functionalities of inter-domain interoperability based on H.323.

  • Multicast service will be required to be an important form of communication without interruption to the delivery of multicast service in mobile networks increasing MNs. In this paper, we review current status of PMIPv6(Proxy Mobile IPv6) multicast listener support being standardized in the IETF and point out limitations of the current approach and we proposed a fast multicast handover procedure in inter domain PMIPv6 network of network-based mobility management. The proposed Fast multicast handover procedure in inter domain optimizes multicast management by using the context of the MNs. We evaluate the proposed fast multicast handover procedure compared to the based one through the developed analytical models and confirm that introduced fast multicast handover procedure provides the reduced service interruption time and total network overhead compared to the based one during handovers.

A Study on Service R&D Needs Analysis in Korea (서비스 R&D 수요분석 연구)

  • The purpose of this research is to develop a service R&D concept definition and finding service R&D demand in Korea. It is necessary to develop an effective service R&D model to improve the competitiveness of the service industry. A survey model for finding service R&D demands has been developed through extensive discussions with experts. A demand survey for 91 experts in service industry and academia has been conducted to find relative weights of each service R&D category. Several other aspects on service R&D has beed investigated to analyze the relative importance of service R&D subjects. And a benchmarking on previous service R&D research investment has been performed. Past and present service R&D topics are compared as a whole and by each individual domain. A service R&D framework and important funding areas has been suggested. The results of this research can be used for research fund allocation decisions for strengthening service industry competitiveness.

Basic Research for the Development of Collision Risk Model of Passing Vessels at an Anchorage (Safety Domain) (정박지 통항선박의 충돌위험 모델 개발을 위한 기초연구 - 정박지 통항선박의 안전 -)

  • The purpose of this study is to obtain a safe area for a passing vessel between anchored vessels by developing a model to predict the collision risk, frequent collisions occur between the anchored vessel and the passing vessel through the anchorage. For this, this study selected the southern anchorage of Busan port, which is the largest harbor in Korea, as the target area and extracted and analyzed VTS (Vessel Traffic Service) data during the period in which anchored vessels were the most waited. The ratio of D/L for each bearing was obtained to determine the safe distance (D) passes based on the length (L) of the passing vessel between anchored vessels. Based on the average domain of the D/L ratio distribution, the percentage of anchored vessels within the scope of the pre-studied ship's domain was analyzed to obtain a domain reflecting the degree of risk of VTSOs. Further research will evaluate and analyze the collision risk of a passing vessel using Domain-watch, the minimum safe distance between anchored vessels, and the safe domain of a passing vessel through anchorage, to develop a model for VTS to manage anchorages more efficiently and safely.

  • Quality is the value that can be measured by observing the characteristics of the service quantity or quality. QoS is predictable service traffic to a minimum requirements what passed in network. In the course of Smart Medical Information System Development there exist some functional requirements to satisfy quality objectives. The functional smart domains of healthcare information systems consists of Patient Module, a smart sensing and communication domain, RFID Tag Readers and the behavior domain, Homecare Station Domain, Clinical Station. This study is performed on evaluation methodology of u-health service satisfaction quality of each domain. In this paper QoS metrics and the quality of medical information requirements, functional requirements are separated by. Quality parameters consists of six items and the functional requirements and quality requirements 20 details the five items and consist of 20 detailed items. On this study the quality evaluation methodology of Korean smart health information quality assessment matrix 2 - factor evaluation method is proposed. The overall framework of this paper is organizing the specific criteria of quality of medical information system and modeling quality evaluation process under all smart environment.

The effect of domain understanding on IT outsourcing performance based on a learning model of IT outsourcing (IT아웃소싱 환경에서 도메인이해도가 성과에 미치는 영향: 조직학습, 지식이전 및 아웃소싱비율의 조절효과를 중심으로)

  • Owing to the current economic downturn, one of the most important goals of the organizations who are actively involved in Information Technology Outsourcing (ITO) is the cost efficiency. We focus on supplier firm's domain understanding to make the cost efficiency; therefore, we examine how the disadvantages from lower domain knowledges affect outsourcing performance moderated by outsourcing ratio and knowledge change environments. That is, if clients can endure disadvantage from service providers' lower domain knowledge, they can achieve cost efficiency by choosing lower domain knowledge suppliers with less expensive cost. To examine performance gap depending on the environments, we applied 'A Learning Model of IT Outsourcing' which is suggested by previous literature. As a result, we suggest five strategies for clients to contract with suppliers which have lower domain knowledge: (1) Prepare the strategy to endure disadvantages from the early stage. (2) Make the strategy depending on outsourcing ratio. (3) Knowledge transfer between organizations is important. (4) Make a short-term contract if they do not have good environments for organizational learning. (5) Client's knowledge change environments are more important than those of supplier's. Finally, we offer various implications for clients and suppliers in IT outsourcing.

Cross-Cultural Comparisons of Customer Perception at Restaurant Franchises in Beijing, Tokyo, and Seoul (북경, 동경, 서울 소재 체인 음식점에서의 문화 차이에 따른 고객 인식 비교 연구)

  • Global restaurant franchises are becoming more and more popular in China, Japan, and South Korea. Understanding target customers' needs for restaurant franchises is considered one of the most important factors for their business success. In this study, four domains-food-related domain (FRD), interior-related domain (IRD), staff-related domain (SRD), and convenience-related domain (CRD)-and 24 elements were classified. A survey with 450 respondents in the three capital cities (Beijing, Tokyo, and Seoul) was then conducted to examine the effect of the factors influencing customer satisfaction. After statistical analysis, thirteen main elements were found as factors influencing customer satisfaction. The analysis result showed that the food-related domain (FRD) was the most important in Beijing. The interior-related domain (IRD) and the convenience-related domain (CRD) were considered the most important in Tokyo and Seoul. Some cultural differences in customer satisfaction were also found. The results provide a guideline for better customer experience management of a restaurant franchise in the three cities.

  • Recently, as the expectation about the IPTV (Internet Protocol TV) service quality is rapidly increased by the development of the national high-speed internet and TPS (the Triple Play Service : data + image + audio) service Therefore, the enactment of the national quality standards about the IPTV service quality guaranteeing the real time video quality of a subscriber and the international standards are hastily needed. This paper built a test bed with the network domain and the subscriber set-top box domain including the headend area and commercial network characteristic in order to test in the environment which is similar to the characteristic of the service business network. And by using the constructed environment, the characteristics required for SLA(service Level Agreement) of the IPTV service are presented as the quality test according to the service environment change.

  • There is great need for efficient user rights management method to provide a flexible service on variety protocols, domains, applications of IoT environments. In this paper, we propose a IoT service platform with CapSG to provide efficient access control for IoT various services of the environment. CapSG uses a token including authentication and access rights to perform authentication and access control service entity providing services. In addition, the generated token for service management, delegation, revocation, and provides a function such as denied. Also, it provides functions such as generation, delegation, disposal and rejection for service token management. In this paper, it provides the flexibility and efficiency of the access control for various services require of the IoT because of it is available to access control specific domain service by using the token group for each domain and is designed to access control using specific service token of tokens group.
