  • In this paper reliability growth model in which the operating time between successive failure is a continuous random variable is proposed. This model is for Burr type XII distribution with two parameters which is discussed in two versions: the order statistics and non-homogeneous Poisson process. The two software reliability measures are obtained. The performance for two versions of the suggested model is tested on real data set by U-plot and Y-plot using Kolmogorov distance.

  • The aims of this study were to examine the characteristics of consumer groups by distribution channel and to identify the variables that influence consumers' intentions to purchase herbal cosmetics. Self-administered questionnaires were distributed to 1,000 women between ages of 20 and 50 years who had purchased herbal cosmetics between November 6, 2006 and December 15, 2006 and currently live in Seoul, Kyung-gi, Pusan, Kyung-Nam, Daegu and Kyung-pook province. A total of 900 questionnaires were used in the final analysis. Factor analysis, $x^2$-test, t-test, frequency, one-way ANOVA and stepwise regression analysis were utilized. The results were as follows: 1. There was a correlation between the demographic characteristics of the consumers and the distribution channel they utilized. 2. There was a correlation between the benefits sought by consumers and the distribution channel they utilized. 3. There was a relationship between the sources of the consumer information leading to the purchase and the distribution channel utilized. 4. There was a relationship between the variables influencing consumers' intentions to purchase the products and the distribution channel they utilized.

  • Purpose - This study aims to identify of prospective areas for the formation of information and high technology clusters, and propose the new distribution of Kazakhstan's regions according to the innovative development and the ability to perceive IT products. Research design, data, and methodology - The application of scientific methods in this research will allow to systematize the available data, from both a theoretical and empirical perspective. In addition, the authors proposed methodological approaches, which have a three-tiered gradation: macro-level, meso-level and micro-level. Results - This study confirms the importance of using of proposed methods and its application for real data in order to the formation of IT and high technology clusters. Further, the obtained results allowed identifying of the distribution of Kazakhstan's regions by innovative development and specialization with using of HHI indexes. Conclusions - According to the results of this theoretical and empirical study proved that distribution of the regions of Kazakhstan and results of HHI indexes shows the power of the agglomeration effect. In addition, according to the conducted survey, we conclude that in Kazakhstan there are sufficient organizational and economic opportunities, trends and conditions for the formation of IT and high technology clusters.

  • The present study analyzed the consumer acceptance of labels, satisfaction with cosmetics after purchase, the relationship between consumer acceptance of cosmetics labels and satisfaction with cosmetics as viewed by type of distribution channel. The study was implemented through a descriptive survey method based on a self-administered questionnaire. The sample consisted of 759 women between the ages of 21 and 49, residing in the area of Seoul, Gwangju, and Gyeonggi Province. There were significant differences in the levels of consideration of labels among consumers from each type of distribution channel. Consumers that prefer door-to-door sales consider the information about ingredients more crucial than consumers who prefer other types of distribution channels, department store consumers consider manufacturer information more important, and consumers who prefer specialty stores/chains and discount stores consider the date of manufacture less important than other types of distribution channels. Significant differences were found in consumer satisfaction with cosmetics after purchasing among consumers from each type of distribution channels. A significant relationship was found between the level of considering the product information listed on the labels and the satisfaction with the cosmetics. With respect to most of the factors, a higher level of label consideration was correlated with a higher satisfaction with cosmetics after purchase.

  • Purpose: This study intended to examine the effects of the characteristics of platforms for purchasing airline tickets on perceived ease of use, usefulness, and e-loyalty, applying the technology acceptance model. Research design, data and methodology: A research model was established based on previous studies, and data were collected from consumers with experience in the airline ticket purchasing platform. 175 valid samples were used and analyzed using SEM. Results: Characteristics of the ticket purchase platform were classified into sub-factors of accessibility, functionality and information reliability through theoretical consideration. The established hypotheses for the research were partially accepted. Conclusions: First, functionality and information reliability were found to have significant positive effects on perceived ease of use, while accessibility did not have such effect. Second, accessibility did not affect the perceived usefulness, and both functionality and information reliability had a significant positive effect on perceived usefulness. Third, it was found that the perceived ease of use had a positive effect on perceived usefulness. Finally, it was found that perceived ease of use did not affect e-loyalty of the ticket purchasing platform, only perceived usefulness affected e-loyalty. This study had important academic and practical implications in the context of air ticket distribution.

  • With the increasing availability of information in electronic form, it becomes more important and feasible to have automatic methods to retrieve relevant information in the Internet. A deficiency of traditional information retrieval systems is that search terms are often different from those indexed by the systems. Thus, users ma either retrieve wrong information or miss what they really want. In this paper, e used an automatic query expansion based expansion based on term distribution to enhance the performance of information retrieval. Also this thesis proposed the method for setting the threshold according to area distribution in order choose additional terms.

  • In this paper, we introduce a grid-based key pre-distribution scheme in wireless sensor networks, which aims to improve the connectivity and resiliency while maintaining a reasonable overhead. We consider simplification of the key establishment logic and enhancement of the connectivity via plat polynomial assignment on a three-dimensional grid for node allocation and keying material assignment. We demonstrate that our scheme results in improvements via a detailed discussion on the connectivity, resource usage, security features and resiliency. A comparison with other relevant works from the literature along with a demonstrated implementation on typical sensor nodes shows the feasibility of the introduced scheme and its applicability for large networks.

  • Comprehensive statistical analysis for the 127 groundwater monitoring stations in Jeju Island during 2005~2015 was carried out for the re-establishment of management groundwater level. Three probability distribution functions such as normal distibution, GEV (General Extreme Value) distribution, and Gumbel distribution were applied and the maximum likelihood method was used for parameter estimation of each distribution. AIC (Akaike information criterion) was calculated based on the estimated parameters to determine the proper probability distribution for all 127 stations. The results showed that normal distribution and Gumble distribution were found in 11 stations. Whereas GEV distribution were found in 105 stations, which covered most of groundwater monitoring stations. Therefore, confidence levels should be established in accord with the proper probability distribution when groundwater level management is determined.

  • Harbor function has been changed into physical distribution position harbor system for providing most suitable physical distribution service with comprehensive rationalization of international physical distribution over simple loading unloading, and change function by far. Thus, to change our country into advanced economy, the factor of growth obstacles was to be eliminated, or it is so important that the physical distribution base establishment enlarges to improve potential productivity. That is, self effort is needed for physical distribution competition system, adjustable arrangement of physical distribution area, the establishment of comprehensive informations system, physical distribution rationalization. Also, to enforce harbor productivity, harbor should be developed systemically to able to function of comprehensive harbor for enlargement of harbor establishment, the device of advanced harbor function height, the linkage between and city program, harbor operation or investment system provement, harbor technique or international cooperation advancement.

  • The inverse Weibull distribution has been proposed as a model in the analysis of life testing data. Also, inverse Weibull distribution has been recently derived as a suitable model to describe degradation phenomena of mechanical components such as the dynamic components (pistons, crankshaft, etc.) of diesel engines. In this paper, we derive the approximate maximum likelihood estimators of the scale parameter and the shape parameter in the inverse Weibull distribution under multiply type-II censoring. We also develop four modified empirical distribution function (EDF) type tests for the inverse Weibull or extreme value distribution based on multiply type-II censored samples. We also propose modified normalized sample Lorenz curve plot and new test statistic.
