  • In this study, the effect on the spatial distribution and diffusion of Arishigona, Sanaji and Bang-gae appearing in Jeolla-do was analyzed using geomorphic elements. Based on result, the AriShigona is distributed in the western plains of the Yeongsan River basin and around from the Noryeong mountain range to Mudeung mountain range, the Sanaji is mainly diffused in the middle and upper parts of the Seomjin River and the lower parts of the Mangyeong River, Dongjin River and the Boseong River basin, and the Bang-gae is found to be distributed in the Seomjin River and the upper part of the Yeongsan River basin. Although the cultural centers of these Rice-paddy Weeding Songs are different but they appear to have a similar distribution pattern in Jeolla-do. This is used as a diffusion path of cultural elements by crossing lineaments in various directions and serving bridge role at the same time. However, in the region where the lineaments do not intersect, the continuity of Rice-paddy Weeding Songs are relatively low, which are considered to be reflected in the spatial distribution and propagation of the sound due to the influence of the drain network rather than the lineament. The results of this study can provide basic data for spatial distribution of Rice-paddy Weeding Songs, and regionality and cultural division by diffusion characteristics.

  • This study was performed to determine the effect of the influent flow distribution ratio and hydraulic retention time(HRT) on removal of organic matter, nitrogen and phosphorus when domestic sewage was treated by the advanced step aeration(ASA) process. Results of the experiment for the determination of the optimum influent flow distribution ratio between the anaerobic reactor and the anoxic reactor showed BOD removal efficiencies of above 92.0% at all influent flow distribution ratios from 9:1 to 4:6. The highest T-N removal efficiency was 82.6% at the influent flow distribution ratio of 6:4. On the other hand, the highest T-P removal efficiency was 67.8% at the influent flow distribution ratio of 9:1. Considering both the T-N and T-P removal efficiencies, the influent distribution ratio of 6:4 was considered the optimum. Results of the experiment for the determination of the optimum HRT at the optimum influent flow distribution ratio of 6:4 revealed BOD removal efficiencies better than 92.7% at all HRTs from 12hr down to 6hr. The highest T-N and T-P removal efficiency were 82.6% and 59.5%, respectively both at the HRT of 8hr. In conclusion, the optimum influent flow distribution ratio and HRT for treatment of domestic sewage by the ASA process were determined to be 6:4 and 8hr, respectively.

  • This study is an empirical analysis of the welfare of small and medium venture company trade. In the past, although the study analyzes the trade welfare for representative firm, this research is focusing on the distribution of an entire industry of companies analyzed. In this study, medium-to venture enterprise-scale for logarithmic normal distribution and Pareto distribution is estimated, and this study investigates the trading welfare changes. Results of the analysis can be summarized as follows. First of all, greater trade benefits enterprise-scale heterogeneity appeared to be significant. The result of this finding appeared to be the same to large firms as well as small and medium ventures. Trading welfare, assuming the distribution of Pareto rather than logarithmic normal distribution it's supposed to be overwhelmingly large. Secondly, the case of large corporations shows the more trade welfare than that of small and medium venture companies. Third, assuming homogeneous distribution of enterprise-scale trade welfare differences did not exist. Finally, from the point of view of increasing the welfare of trade, the diversity aiming of venture business is a very important role in the long term, because of the small and medium-sized ventures trade role.

  • Accurately extracting the axle distribution information of a passing vehicle from bridge dynamic responses experiences a key and challenging step in non-pavement bridge weigh-in-motion (BWIM). In this article, the wavelet transformation is adopted and the wavelet coefficient curve is used as a substitute for dynamic response. The driving frequency is introduced and expanded to multi-axle vehicle, and the wavelet coefficient curve on specific scale corresponding to the driving frequency is confirmed to contain obvious axle information. On this basis, an automatic method for axle distribution information identification is proposed. The specific wavelet scale can be obtained through iterative computing, and the false peaks due to bridge vibration can be eliminated through cross-correlation analysis of the wavelet coefficients of two measure points. The integrand function that corresponds to the maximum value of the cross-correlation function is used to identify the peaks caused by axles. A numerical application of the proposed axle information identification method is carried out. Numerical results demonstrate that this method acquires precise axle information from the responses of an axle-insensitive structure (e.g., girder) and decreases the requirement of sensitivity structure of BWIM. Finally, an experimental study on a full-scale simply supported bridge is also conducted to verify the effectiveness of this method.

  • The ageing of XLPE cable insulation will lead to the accelerating accumulation of space charge, which will greatly affect the safe operation of the HVDC cable. In order to investigate the influence of different ageing modes on the space charge distribution of the HVDC cable, thermal stressed, electrical stressed and electro-thermal stressed endurance tests were carried out on the XLPE peelings. The tested XLPE peelings were obtained from 160kV HVDC cable insulation. The endurance tests were carried at thermal stress of 363K, electrical stress of 20kV/mm DC and a combination of both. The Pulsed Electro-Acoustic (PEA) method was used to measure the space charge distribution of the samples. The influences of ageing on the trap energy distribution were analyzed based on the isothermal relaxation theory and the decay characteristics of the space charge. The results showed that thermal ageing would help to improve the crystalline morphologies of the XLPE at the early stage. The total amount of space charge decreased compared to the ones before thermal ageing. The long term of electrical stress would result in the cleavage of polymer molecule chains which would intensify the accumulation of space charge and increase the density and depth of electron traps. With a combination of electrical and thermal stress, the injection and migration of space charge were more significant. Besides, the depth and density of electron traps increased rapidly with the increase of endurance time.

  • This study was carried out to get more operational characteristics of Anoxic(anaerobic)-Oxic-Anoxic-Oxic $(AO)_2$ sequencing batch biofilm reactors (SBBRs) at the low TOC concentration, The operating time in anoxic (anaerobic) time to oxic time was I : I. Experiments were conducted to find the effects of the aeration time distribution on the organic matters and nutrients removal. Three lab-scale reactors were fed with synthetic wastewater based on glucose as carbon source. During studies, the operation mode was fixed. The first aeration time to the second aeration time in SBBR-I was 2 : 3, and those in SBBR-2 and SBBR-3 were I : 4 and 3 : 2, respectively. The organic removal efficiency didn't show large difference among three reactors of different aeration time distribution. However, from these study results, the optimum aeration time distribution in the first and the second aeration time for biological nutrient removal was shown as 3 : 2. The release of phosphorus was inhibited at the second non-aeration period because of the low TOC concentration and the nitrate produced by the nitrification at the first aeration period.
