  • In this paper, economic screening procedures with dichotomous performance variable T and continuous screening variable X are considered when the rejected items are reprocessed. Two models are considered; normal and logistic models. It is assumed that X given T is normally distributed in the normal model, and $P(T=1{\mid}X=x)$ Is given by a logistic function in the logistic model. Profit models are constructed which involve four price/cost components; selling price, cost from an accepted nonconforming item, and reprocessing and inspectioncosts. Methods of finding the optimal screening procedures are presented and numerical examples are given.

A Study on the Factors Affecting the Intention to Revisit Jewelry Stores

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the factors that influence the revisit of jewelry stores. The purpose od this study is to find specific factors that affect product and store satisfaction. The theoretical studies on product quality, perceived quality guarantee, product design, product price, sales promotion, product diversity, store area, store re-visit intent were reviewed. Based on this background, research hypotheses were established. A total of 80 questionnaires were distributed to verify the hypothesis of the study, and 64 were finally used for the analysis. SPSS 24.0 was used for hypothesis verification. The results of this study showed that product quality, perceived product guarantee, product design, and product price had positive influence on product satisfaction. On the other hand, sales promotion, product diversity and store interior were found to have positive influence on store satisfaction. Furthermore, product and store satisfaction were found to have a positive and significant effect on revisit Jewelry Stores.

Consumer Values and Green Consumption: Implications for Marketing Strategy and Environmental Policy

  • The objective of this study is to find the effects of consumer values on eco-friendly buying behavior. This study examines environmental attitudes and involvement as moderating variables to explain eco-friendly buying behavior of consumers. Hypotheses were developed based on Focus Group Interviews, Depth Interviews, and literature reviews. To test such hypotheses, questionnaires were distributed and collected among female adults aged 18 or above, and who are either office workers or housewives. The analysis results show that personal values, sociocultural values, and values related to ecofriendly products affect consumers in their eco-friendly buying behavior. Among those values, concern about safety and health, eco-friendly culture and trend, willingness to pay price premiums and functional effects of eco-friendly products have significant effects on eco-friendly buying behavior. Reflecting these results, business marketers must appeal to consumers with more focus on safety and health, perceived consumer effectiveness, self-monitoring, eco-friendly culture and trend, media exposure, willingness to pay price premiums, design excellence and functional effects, to implement marketing communication strategies accordingly.

Effects of Channel Structure on the Quality Competition of Exclusively Distributed Products

  • This study investigates the effects of the distribution channel structure on quality decisions under duopoly competition. I considers a set-up in which two retailers compete on product quality and retail price. In the set-up, the integrated retailer has the power to determine the quality of its exclusive product, while the decentralized retailer does not. For the decentralized retailer, the supplier determines product quality. I find that asymmetric pairs of a decentralized channel by one retailer and an integrated channel by the other retailer can be a Nash equilibrium in a simultaneous-channel-choice model. The two retailers select different levels of quality, and this quality competition benefits retailers by softening price competition. In a sequential-channel-choice model, I find that the leader can obtain a first-mover advantage. From the perspective of the supplier, which can decide the distribution channel structure and level of quality, both suppliers choose the decentralized channel in equilibrium.

  • 과거부터 주식시장의 주가 예측은 풀리지 않는 난제이다. 이를 과학적으로 예측하기 위해 다양한 시도 및 연구들이 있어왔지만 정확한 가격을 예측하는 것은 불가능하다. 최근 분산 원장이라는 개념을 기술적으로 구현한 최초의 암호화폐인 비트코인을 시작으로 다양한 종류의 암호화폐가 개발되면서 암호화폐 시장이 형성되었고, 그 가격을 예측하기 위해 다양한 접근들이 시도되고 있다. 특히, 기존의 전통적인 주식시장에서의 주가 예측 기법들을 적용하려는 시도부터 딥러닝과 강화학습을 적용하려는 시도까지 다양하다. 하지만 암호화폐 시장은 기존 주식 시장에는 없던 여러 가지 새로운 특징을 가지는 시장으로서 전통적인 주식 시장 분석 기술뿐만 아니라 암호화폐 시장에 적합한 새로운 분석 기술에 관한 수요가 증가하고 있는 상황이다. 본 연구에서는 우선 빗썸의 API를 통하여 7개의 암호화폐 가격 데이터를 수집 및 가공하였다. 이후, Data-Driven 방식의 지도학습 기반 기계학습 모델인 그래디언트 부스팅 모델을 채택하여 암호화폐 가격 데이터 변화를 학습하고, 검증단계에서 가장 최적의 모델 파라미터를 산출하고, 최종적으로 테스트 데이터를 활용하여 암호화폐 가격동향 예측 성능을 평가한다.

  • 최근 네트워크 기술의 비약적인 발전은 고속 그리고 저가의 클러스터 시스템을 구축할 수 있는 기본 토대를 제공하여 주었다. 이러한 기존 클러스터 시스템은 안정화된 고속의 지역 네트워크를 기반으로 일정 수준의 시스템으로 구성되는 것이 일반적인 경향이다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 다중 분산 웹 클러스터 그룹은 개방 네트워크상에 존재하는 저가, 저속의 시스템 노드를 대상으로 하여, 주어진 작업에 대한 병렬수행 및 SC-Sever의 공유메모리를 통한 효율적인 작업 분배와 시스템 노드간의 상호 협조 작업을 통하여 고성능, 고효율 그리고 고가용성을 얻을 수 있는 웹 클러스터 모델이다. 이를 위하여 다중 분산 웹 클러스터 그룹은 복수개의 시스템 노드를 단일한 가상 네트워크로 묶어 놓은 서브 클러스터 그룹으로 구성하고, 서브 클러스터 그룹내의 효율적인 자료전송을 위하여 분산 공유 메모리를 이용한다. 제안된 모델은 사용자로부터 요구되는 대규모의 작업에 대하여 분산 공유 메모리를 기반으로 한 부하분배 및 병렬 컴퓨팅 방식을 이용하므로 처리 효율을 높일 수 있다.

공간지리적 요인과 주거특성을 고려한 공동주택 가격결정 분석 (Analysis of Determinant Factors of Apartment Price Considering the Spatial Distribution and Housing Attributes)

  • 중소도시도 수도권과 대도시의 주택정책을 답습할 것이 아니라 지역의 현황과 특성을 반영한 주택정책을 통하여 건전한 주택시장을 조성해야한다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 진주시를 사례로 공동주택의 공간적 분포와 속성상의 특징을 분석하고, 공동주택 가격결정 요인을 추적하여 진주시의 주택정책에 유의한 함의를 도출하고자 하였다. 분석 데이터는 20세대 이상의 공동주택을 대상으로 위치와 속성자료를 지리정보시스템으로 구축하였다. 공동주택의 공급시기와 분포를 분석해보면 경과연수가 오래되고 세대수가 적은 아파트들은 70년대에 시행된 구획정리사업지구에 주로 건설되었고, 반대로 경과연수가 짧고 세대수가 많은 아파트는 서쪽과 남쪽에 최근의 택지개발사업이 시행된 지역에 건축된 특징이 있었다. 아파트 가격결정요인 분석에서는 다중공선성을 없애기 위해 변수를 인자분석으로 사전에 축소 처리하였으며, 공동주택가격을 종속변수로 하고 33개의 독립변수로 구성되는 헤도닉가격모형을 12가지로 구축하였다. 이 모형들에서 경과연수, 연면적, 대로접함여부, 대학 및 병원접근성, 계단식 등이 유의한 변수로 분석되었다. 이상의 결과를 이용하여 지역의 특성을 반영한 도시기반시설의 입지와 주택공급을 시행한다면 급격한 공동주택의 가격변동과 지역적 가격 차이에서 오는 지역적 위화감을 완화하는 데에 도움이 될 것이다. 결론적으로 시장규모가 작은 중소도시의 경우에도 지역현실을 반영한 주택정책을 수립하여 지역의 주택시장 안정화 방안을 모색해야하며, 보다 나은 분석을 위해 향후 중소도시에도 단독주택을 포함한 정밀한 토지정보를 구축해야 한다.

인구통계학적 변인에 따른 막걸리 음용실태 및 건강관련 인식 조사 (A Survey of Drinking Habits and Health Perception of Makgeolli)

  • This study was performed with Korean adults to investigate Makgeolli drinking behavior, preference, and perception about Makgeolli and health, as well as Makgeolli complaints and prices. A survey questionnaire was formulated to obtain information on demographic variables, drinking habits, and perceptions about Makgeolli's function, price, and complaints. The questionnaire was distributed to 468 adults living in the capital area. The results are as follows. Makgeolli (16.1%) was third preferred, following Soju (45.1%) and beer (30.7%), and no significant differences were observed by gender and income, but the preference for Makgeolli increased with increasing age (p<0.001). According to the survey, the largest reason both genders drank Makgeolli was that it tastes good. Men preferred Makgeolli for its health effects and cheap price, while women preferred it for the atmosphere while drinking it. Also, older people and those with higher incomes preferred drinking Makgeolli for its health effect rather than its good taste (p<0.001 for each). No significant difference was observed by gender for the question "Do you think that Makgeolli has a health-promoting effect?" Overall, 51% of the subjects gave positive answers and only 5.9% gave negative answers. Significantly, older people and those with a higher income had a higher rate of answering positively to this question. Belching (45.1%) and headache (29.9%) were the most common symptoms among the side effects of drinking Makgeolli. No significant difference was observed by gender or income, but older people had a higher rate of belching and fewer headaches than younger people (p<0.001). Women had a significantly higher rate of perceiving that Makgeolli was cheap than men. Age and income differences did not influence price perception. To the question "What is the ideal price for high quality Makgeolli", 32.1% answered that the present rate (1,000 won) was ideal, and 59.4% answered that a price between 1,000 and 2,000 won was ideal. These results indicate that the high preference for Makgeolli is due to its good taste and health effects. However, belching and headache caused by drinking Makgeolli were the most common complaints and, thus, must be solved. Some opinions indicated that Makgeolli must eliminate its low-quality image, but, according to this survey, most subjects answered that the ideal price of higher-quality Makgeolli should be increased slightly, which would cause price resistance.

Game Theoretic based Distributed Dynamic Power Allocation in Irregular Geometry Multicellular Network

  • The extensive growth in data rate demand by the smart gadgets and mobile broadband application services in wireless cellular networks. To achieve higher data rate demand which leads to aggressive frequency reuse to improve network capacity at the price of Inter Cell Interference (ICI). Fractional Frequency Reuse (FFR) has been recognized as an effective scheme to get a higher data rate and mitigate ICI for perfect geometry network scenarios. In, an irregular geometric multicellular network, ICI mitigation is a challenging issue. The purpose of this paper is to develop distributed dynamic power allocation scheme for FFR based on game theory to mitigate ICI. In the proposed scheme, each cell region in an irregular multicellular scenario adopts a self-less behavior instead of selfish behavior to improve the overall utility function. This proposed scheme improves the overall data rate and mitigates ICI.
