  • 이 논문은 건물내 또는 건물군 단위로 설치될 신.재생에너지 원격제어를 위한 분산 임베디드시스템에 관한 연구로 제어시스템은 CAN통신을 기반으로 하는 네트워크를 구성하였으며 원격제어를 위하여 Ethernet TCP/IP-CAN 게이트웨이를 개발하였다. 이의 성능을 평가하기 위하여 본 실험실에 설치된 유도전동기 2대의 구동시스템을 활용하여 원격제어실험을 수행하였으며 실험 결과 개발된 알고리즘 및 TCP/IP-CAN 게이트웨이가 매우 우수한 성능을 가지고 있음을 확인하였다.

  • 무인항공기의 정찰 및 정보 수집 능력을 효율적으로 수행하기 위해 장기 체공 능력이 요구된다. 분산 추진 장치는 대형 추진 장치를 복수의 소형 추진 장치들로 대체하여 추력을 얻는 장치이다. 날개의 스팬 길이를 따라 넓게 분포하여 효율이 증가하며, 유동의 흡입을 통해 경계층을 제어하고 출구에서 분사되는 흐름이 항공기에 부착되어 흐르기 때문에 양항비가 증가한다. 본 연구에서는 전익기 융합익기와 분산 추진 장치가 장기 체공 성능을 향상시키는 점에 착안하여 연구를 수행하였다. Eppler 337 에어포일 유닛에 추진 장치의 위치 및 입 출구 가로세로비 변화에 따라 나타나는 공력특성을 분석했다. CFD를 사용하여 공력해석을 수행하였고, 빠른 해석 결과를 얻을 수 있도록 팬 영역에 작동판 이론을 적용하였다. 양항비와 모멘트 비교를 통해 추진 장치의 위치 및 형상을 결정하고자 한다.

연합 학습 기반 분산 FMCW MIMO Radar를 활용한 모션 인식 알고리즘 개발 및 성능 분석 (Development of Federated Learning based Motion Recognition Algorithm using Distributed FMCW MIMO Radars)

  • In this paper, we implement a distributed FMCW MIMO radar system to obtain Micro Doppler signatures of target motions. In addition, we also develop federated learning based motion recognition algorithm based on the Micro-Doppler radar signature collected by the implemented FMCW MIMO radar system. Through the experiment, we have verified that the proposed federated learning based algorithm can improve the motion recognition accuracy up to 90%.

  • A zonal embedded grid technique has been developed for computation of the two-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations with cylindrical coordinates. The fundamental idea of the zonal embedded grid technique is that the number of azimuthal grids can be made small near the origin of the coordinates so that the grid size is more uniformly distributed over the domain than with the conventional regular-grid system. The code developed using this technique combined with the explicit, finite-volume method was then applied to calculation of the spin-up flows within a semi-circular cylinder. It was shown that the numerical results were in good agreement with the experimental results both qualitatively and quantitatively.

  • One of the components that constitute the simulation models is the state variables whose values are determined by the time related simulation process. Embedding rule-based expert systems into the simulation models should provide a systematic way of handling these time-dependent variables without distracting the essential problem solving capabilities of the expert systems which are well suited for expressing the decision making function of complex cases. The expert system, however, is inefficient in dealing with the time elapsing characteristics of target system compare to the simulation models. To solve the problem, this paper provides an interruptible inference engine whose inferencing process can be interrupted when the variables' value, which are used as the parameters of the rules, are not yet determined due to the time dependent nature of the state variables. The process is resumed when the variables are ready. The elapse of time is calculated by time-advance function of the simulation model to which the expert system has been embedded. The example modeling shown exploits the embedded interruptible inferencing capability for the controlling and monitoring of metal grating process.

  • With distribution industrial control system, the use of low cost to achieve a highly reliable and safe system in real time distributed embedded application is proposed. This developed intelligent node is based on two microcontrollers, one for the execution of the application code, also as master controller for ensuring the real time control & the logic operation with CPLD and other for communication task and the easy control execution, i.e., I/O digital input, digital output and interrupting. This paper also presents where the case NCS (Networked control system) with LonTalk protocol is applied for the filtration process control system of a small water treatment plant.

  • 본 연구에서는 자동차의 내부에 네트워크 구성을 통하여 점점 증가하는 기기들의 인식을 쉽게하도록 하였으며, 블루투스 통신을 활용하여 기기들의 확장에도 특별한 설정 없이 인식이 가능하게 하였다. 또한 임베디드 웹서버가 설치된 임베디드 시스템에 인터페이스 시켜 인터넷을 이용해 자동차에 접속할 수 있도록 하여 자동차의 상태를 감시하고 제어할 수 있고 차량내부에서는 블루투스가 내장된 이동기기로도 웹에 접속없이 운전자가 자동차의 주행제어 설정 및 차량의 이상 유무를 확인할 수 있는 자동차 관리시스템을 구현하였다.

  • Normally, a distributed computing environment is flexible in controlling complex embedded systems but their software components are becoming complex as these systems are equipped with several platforms and attached to various electronic devices, sensors, and actuators. These systems requires inter-object communication mechanisms to provide fault tolerant and QoS-enabled middleware service support in a distributed system. Generally, a middleware performs analysis of the parameters to ensure the availability and reliability of data dissemination. This paper focuses in particular to designing an application middleware for the specific scenario to improve the high availability and fault tolerance of data thus improving the QoS (Quality of Service) of a distributed system. The performance of an adaptive and highly reliable middleware can be significant based on the selection of vital parameters of the system.

  • As environmental pollution and fossil fuel energy problems from fuel vehicle have occurred, the interest of electric vehicle(EV) has increased. EV industry and energy industry have grown dynamically in these days. It is expected that the next generation of primary transportation will be EV, and it is necessary to prepare EV infra and efficient energy management such as EV communication protocol, EV charge station, and smart grid. Those EV and energy industry fields are now on growth. Also, the study and development of them are now in progress. In this paper, distributed charge signal processing software for smart slow and quick EV charge is proposed and designed for dealing with EV charge demand. The software consists of smart slow and quick EV charge schedule engine and EV charge power distribution core. The software is designed to support two charge station types. One is normal EV charge station and the other is bus garage EV charge station. Both two types collect the data from EV charge stations, and then analyze the collected data. The software suggests optimized EV charge schedule and deliveries EV charge power distribution information to power switchboard system, and the designed software is implemented on embedded system. It is expected that the software provides efficient EV charge schedule.

Speech Interactive Agent on Car Navigation System Using Embedded ASR/DSR/TTS

  • This paper presents an efficient speech interactive agent rendering smooth car navigation and Telematics services, by employing embedded automatic speech recognition (ASR), distributed speech recognition (DSR) and text-to-speech (ITS) modules, all while enabling safe driving. A speech interactive agent is essentially a conversational tool providing command and control functions to drivers such' as enabling navigation task, audio/video manipulation, and E-commerce services through natural voice/response interactions between user and interface. While the benefits of automatic speech recognition and speech synthesizer have become well known, involved hardware resources are often limited and internal communication protocols are complex to achieve real time responses. As a result, performance degradation always exists in the embedded H/W system. To implement the speech interactive agent to accommodate the demands of user commands in real time, we propose to optimize the hardware dependent architectural codes for speed-up. In particular, we propose to provide a composite solution through memory reconfiguration and efficient arithmetic operation conversion, as well as invoking an effective out-of-vocabulary rejection algorithm, all made suitable for system operation under limited resources.
