A Framework to Construct the Aviation Engagement Simulation Model based on the Synthetic Battlefield in the HLA/RTI System (HLA/RTI 시스템에서 합성전장환경 기반의 항공 교전 시뮬레이션 모델 구축 프레임워크)

  • This paper proposes a framework to construct the synthetic battlefield based aviation engagement simulation model for the distributed system. The proposed framework has the synthetic battlefield in the HLA (High Level Architecture)/RTI (Run-Time Infrastructure) based distributed system to reflect environmental effects into the aviation engagement simulation model. In an aviation engagement, the environment affects weapon systems such as detection and movement. Therefore, environmental effects are required to be reflected in the simulation. However, former researches are inadequate for complex operations of weapon systems that are requirements of the engagement simulation. Thus, the construction of the engagement simulation system of which reflects environmental effects based on environmental data is still difficult. The main objective of this paper is to propose a framework to solve the difficulty and constructs an example system based on the proposed framework.

The Optimal Extraction Method of Adder Sharing Component for Inner Product and its Application to DCT Design (내적연산을 위한 가산기 공유항의 최적 추출기법 제안 및 이를 이용한 DCT 설계)

  • The general DSP algorithm, like orthogonal transform or filter processing, needs efficient hardware architecture to compute inner product. The typical MAC architecture has high cost of silicon. Because of this reason, the distributed arithmetic without multiplier is widely used for implementing inner product. This paper presents the optimization to reduce required hardware in distributed arithmetic by using extraction method of adder sharing component. The optimization process uses Boltzmann-machine which is one of the neural network. This proposed method can solve problem that is increasing complexity depending on depth of inner product and compose optimal summation-network with the minimum FA and FF in a few time. The designed DCT by using Proposed method is more efficient than a ROM-based distributed arithmetic.

Open-Loop Pipeline ADC Design Techniques for High Speed & Low Power Consumption (고속 저전력 동작을 위한 개방형 파이프라인 ADC 설계 기법)

  • Some design techniques for high speed and low power pipelined 8-bit ADC are described. To perform high-speed operation with relatively low power consumption, open loop architecture is adopted, while closed loop architecture (with MDAC) is used in conventional pipeline ADC. A distributed track and hold amplifier and a cascading structure are also adopted to increase the sampling rate. To reduce the power consumption and the die area, the number of amplifiers in each stage are optimized and reduced with proposed zero-crossing point generation method. At 500-MHz sampling rate, simulation results show that the power consumption is 210mW including digital logic with 1.8V power supply. And the targeted ADC achieves ENOB of about 8-bit with input frequency up to 200-MHz and input range of 1.2Vpp (Differential). The ADC is designed using a $0.18{\mu}m$ 6-Metal 1-Poly CMOS process and occupies an area of $900{\mu}m{\times}500{\mu}m$

  • Defense M&S software industry has carried out a variety of studies related to an efficient implementation of large-scale simulation and interoperability with respect to each of the system and HLA has been developed to provide a common architecture for distributed simulation of them. HLA defines Federate interface specification and provides services through RTI. Meanwhile, the difficulty lies in developing the software based HLA. Federate developer needs to understand how to handle Metadata produced RTI and has to modify the interface code whenever FDD is modified. This paper presents the implementation method of SOM interface using the code generation technique and middleware architecture for providing simple API. It solves the problem for implementing the framework of distributed object communication by using proposed method.

An Iterative Algorithm for the Bottom Up Computation of the Data Cube using MapReduce (맵리듀스를 이용한 데이터 큐브의 상향식 계산을 위한 반복적 알고리즘)

  • Due to the recent data explosion, methods which can meet the requirement of large data analysis has been studying. This paper proposes MRIterativeBUC algorithm which enables efficient computation of large data cube by distributed parallel processing with MapReduce framework. MRIterativeBUC algorithm is developed for efficient iterative operation of the BUC method with MapReduce, and overcomes the limitations about the storage size and processing ability caused by large data cube computation. It employs the idea from the iceberg cube which computes only the interesting aspect of analysts and the distributed parallel process of cube computation by partitioning and sorting. Thus, it reduces data emission so that it can reduce network overload, processing amount on each node, and eventually the cube computation cost. The bottom-up cube computation and iterative algorithm using MapReduce, proposed in this paper, can be expanded in various way, and will make full use of many applications.

Study on Flora Distributed of Nearby Island and Yubu-do in Seocheon, Chungnam (충남 서천 유부도와 인근 섬에 분포하는 식물상 연구)

  • This study is a survey of the flora distributed in Seocheon tidal flat wetland protected area of nearby island (Daejuk-do, Tokki-deung, Muk-do) and Yubo-do Seocheon-gun Chuncheongnam-do, Korea. The numbers of vascular plants were summarized as 231 taxa including 65 families, 167 genera, 204 species, 2 subspecies, 23 varieties and 2 forms. The halophytes were 33 taxa including 15 families, 29 genera, 29 species, 3 varieties and 1 form (Chenopodium album var. stenophyllum, Cnidium japonicum, Juncus haenkei and so on). The rare plants were 4 taxa including Pseudoraphis ukishiba (VU), Belamcanda chinensis (VU), Phacelurus latifolius (LC) and Polygonum bellardii (DD). The Korean endemic plants were 2 taxa including Salix pseudolasiogyne and Forsythia koreana. In the specific plants by floristic region were 24 taxa, a degree I were 19 taxa (Rhodotypos scandens, Zanthoxylum planispinum, Cynodon dactylon and so on), 2 taxa of a degree III (Elymus mollis and Asparagus oligoclonos), 3 taxa of a degree IV (Polygonum bellardii, Wisteria floribunda and Pseudoraphis ukishiba) and degree II, V were not found. The naturalized plants were 40 taxa including Phytolacca americana, Sicyos angulatus, Lactuca scariola and so on. Naturalization rate (NR) was 17.3% of all 231 taxa of vascular plants and urbanization index (UI) was 12.5% of all 321 taxa of naturalized plants. This study was performed to used as a basic data to identify the protected from plant ecosystems of type classify into analyze the vegetation characteristic of based on flora distributed in Yubu-do and nearby islands.

  • The deterministic update method of intensional predicates in a parallel deductive database that deductive database is distributed in a parallel computer architecture in needed. Using updated data from the deterministic update method, a strategy for parallel evaluation of intensional predicates is required. The paper is concerned with an approach to updating parallel deductive database in which very insertion or deletion can be performed in a deterministic way, and an extended parallel semi-naive evaluation algorithm in a parallel computer architecture. After presenting an approach to updating intensional predicates and strategy for parallel evaluation, its implementation is discussed. A parallel deductive database consists of the set of facts being the extensional database and the set of rules being the intensional database. We assume that these sets are distributed in each processor, research how to update intensional predicates and evaluate using the update method. The parallel architecture for the deductive database consists of a set of processors and a message passing network to interconnect these processors.

  • A Military L-V-C system consists of distributed complex systems integrating Live systems working on physical wall-clock time, Virtual systems ruled by virtually pseudo realtime events on a computer, and Constructive systems only depending on the causal relationship between the continuous events. Recently many needs for L-V-C training systems are increasing in order to achieve the maximum training effects with low costs. While theoretical/logical researches or only partially interworking technologies have been proposed, there are few perfect interworking architectures for totally interoperating L-V-C systems in world-wide. In this paper, we design and develop a novel interworking architecture based on data centric middleware for the consistent global time with the same states on the entire L-V-C data and events by means of integrating the heterogeneous distributed middleware standards of each L-V-C system. In addition, simulated L-V-C systems based on real systems will be used for the efficiency and performance of the developed interworking architecture.

  • In this paper, we discuss the implementation and experimentations of a new future Internet architecture for mobile-oriented environments, named Mobile Oriented Future Internet (MOFI). The MOFI architecture is featured by the host identifier and local locator for identifier-locator separation, Query-First Data Delivery (QFDD), and Distributed Mapping System (DMS) for identifier-locator mapping control. In the existing study on MOFI, we examined the intra-domain mobility control, the implementation of MOFI over Linux platform, and the performance analysis over the small-scale testbed. In this paper, we describe how to implement the MOFI architecture for inter-domain mobility control by using the OpenFlow and Click Modular Router platform. From the experimentations over the KOREN testbed, we can see that the MOFI scheme can give better performance than the existing Proxy Mobile IP scheme.

Active Security Management on Active Networks (능동 네트워크 기반의 능동 보안 관리 시스템)

  • It has become more difficult to correspond an cyber attack quickly as a pattern of attack becomes various and complex. And, current security mechanisms just have passive defense functionalities. In this paper, we propose new network security architecture to respond various cyber attacks rapidly and to chase and isolate the attackers through cooperation between security zones. The proposed architecture make possible to deal effectively with cyber attacks such as IP spoofing or DDoS(Distributed Denial of Service) using active packet technology including a mobile sensor on active network. Active Security Management System based on proposed security architecture consists of active security node and active security server in a security zone, and is designed to have more active correspondent than that of existing mechanisms. We implemented these mechanisms in Linux routers and experimented on a testbed to verify realization possibility of Active Security Management System. The experimentation results are analyzed.
