AL합금과 이종금속의 접합계면에서의 미세조직과 접합강도에 미치는 열처리조건의 영향 (The Effect of the Heat Treatment Conditions on the Strength and Microstructure in the Bonded Interface in Dissimilar Metal and Aluminum Alloy)

  • The aluminum alloy which is light and has excellent thermal conductivity and iron base alloy that is remarkable heat-resistece and wear resistence properties were bonded together. The bond was created between a stationary and a rotating member by using the frictional heat generated between them while subjected to high normal forces on the interface of Al alloy and iron base alloy. The microstructure of the bonded interface of friction welding and the strength in the bonded interface formed under various bonding conditions were examined through TEM, SEM with EDX and triple bending test. In interface of bonding materials formed after various heat treatment, bonding strength was substantially different, resulting from formation of intermetallic compound or softening during annealing.

  • In this paper, the real-time prediction of high temperature creep life was carried out for the friction welded joints of dissimilar heat resistintg steels (CulCr0.5Zr-STS316L). Various life prediction methods such as LMP (Larson-Miller Parameter) and ISM (initial strain method) were applied. The creep behaviors of those steels and the welds under static load were examined by ISM combined with LMP at 300, 400 and 50$0^{\circ}C$, and the relationship between these two methods was investigated. A real-time creep life (tsub/r/, hr) prediction equation by initial strain ($\varepsilon_0$, %) under any creep stress ($\sigma$, MP$\alpha$) at any high temperature (T, K) was developed

  • In an attempt to optimize friction spot joining process of Al alloys for automobiles, Friction spot joining was used make lap feint on strips of AA5052-H32 and AA6022-T4 aluminium alloy. The effects of joining parameters such as tool rotating speed, plunging depth, joining time and kind of upper plate on the joints properties were investigated. An optimal tensile shear strength parameter of a tool rotating speed of 1000rpm, dwell time 2.5sec with upper plate 6022 can be found to make a good joint.

  • 기관밸브용접 SCr4-21-4N 및 SUH3-21-4N을 연구선정된 최적마찰압접조건 하에서 마찰압접을 하고 이때 생기는 압접부의 잔류응력 및 경도의 peak 등 압접결함의 제거 및 압접성능개선을 위한 열처리에 관하여 실험연구한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. (1) 배기 valve용강 SCr4-21-4N 및 SUH3-21-4N의 마찰압접을 위한 최적조건으로서 회전수 3,000rpm, 마찰가열압 p 하(1)=8 kg/mm 상(2), upset 압 p 하(2)=20 kg/mm 상(2), 압접가열시간 t 하(1)=3초, upset 시간 2.5초를 선정한 것이 매우 타당함이 실험적으로 입증되었다. (2) 이종재질 SUH3-SUH31, SCr4-SUH31, SCr4-SUH3, SUH3-CRK22, SCr4-21-4N 및 SUH3-21-4N의 마찰압접에 관한 저자의 종래 연구와 본연구 결과는 압접부의 압접 특성이 서로 매우 일치하였다. (3) SCr4-21-4N 및 SUH3-21-4N의 마찰압접부의 잔류응력 및 전도의 peak를 제거하기 위한 최적열처리조건은 $600^{\circ}C$$\times$30min.$\times$room air cooling의 normalizing임이 확인되었다. (4) 이때 열처리 후에는, 열처리전의 인장강도의 약 20%가 감소했으나, 파단 위치는 열영향부로부터 모재 SCr4 및 SUH3 측으로 이동하였다. (5) 상기 최적조건 하에서 마찰압접되고 열처리된 압접부의 현미경 조직검사 결과, 압접부가 매우 좁고 압접결함이 없으며, 치밀하고 조밀한 조직의 우수한 압접이었음이 확인되었다. (6) 상기 최적조건은, 기관 valve 생산을 위한 타이종재질의 마찰압접조건으로도 응용될 수 있을 것이다.

  • 본 연구에서는 국산 구조용강의 SM 45C 와 SUS 304 재를 최고 강도치가 나타 나는 압접조건하에서 압접하여 우재료의 용착금속부, 열영향부, 각 모재부 소정의 장 소에 미소원공을 가공한 시험편을 토대로 피로크랙의 발생 및 전파거동을 응력 레벨의 고저를 고려하여 고찰하였다.

The creep behaviors of those steels and the welds under static load were examined by ISM combined with LMP at 500, 600 and $700^{\circ}C$, and the relationship between these two methods was investigated. A real-time creep lie (tr, hr) prediction equation by initial strain (${\varepsilon}_0$, %) under any creep stress ($\sigma$, MPa) at any high temperature (T, K) was developed as follows: $t_r={\alpha}{\varepsilon}_0^{\beta}{\sigma}^{-1}$ where, ${\phi}=16: {\alpha}=10^{51.412-0.104T+5.375{\times}10^5T^2}$, $ {\beta}=-83.989+0.180T-9.957{\times}10^{-5}T^2,{\phi}=20:$ ${\alpha}=10^{69.910-0.146T+7.744{\times}10^{-5}T^2$, ${\beta}=-51.442+0.105T-5.595{\times}10^{-5}T^2$ for SUH3-SUH35 friction weld of =16mm and 20mm, respectively.

  • The presence of a crack can increase the local stress or strain, which can cause inelastic deformation and significantly reduce the life of a component or structure. Therefore, in this study, the fatigue crack growth (FCG) behaviors of friction stir welded Al 2024-T3 and Al 7075-T6 specimens were examined, with fatigue cracks growing parallel to the dynamically recrystallized zone at variable ${\Delta}K$ values and an R ratio of 0.3. In addition, the FCG values of the base metal Al 2024-T3 and Al 7075-T6 were tested under the same conditions and parameters as comparative groups. The results showed that compared with the base metal Al 2024 specimen, which had the best fatigue property, the welded specimen had only 88% of the fatigue cycles.

  • It was confirmed that the life predictive equation by LMP-ISM are effective only up to 10$^2$hours and can not be used for long times of 10$^3$~10$^{5}$ hours, but that by ISM can be used for long times creep life prediction with more reliability. The predictive creep life equation of ISM has better reliability than those by LMP and LMP-ISM, and its realizably is getting better for long time creep prediction(10$^3$~10$^{5}$ H).

초고강도 합금강의 이종마찰교반 접합부에서의 미세조직 특성 및 기계적 물성 연구 (Microstructural and Mechanical Analysis of a Friction Stir Welded Joint of Dissimilar Advanced High-Strength Steels)

  • For microstructural analysis of a friction stir welded (FSWed) joint of advanced high-strength steels, dual phase (DP) and complex phase (CP) steels, are studied. FSWed joints are successfully fabricated in the following four cases: (i) DP/DP; (ii) CP/CP; (iii) DP/CP, where the advancing side is DP and the retreating side is CP; (iv) CP/DP, where the advancing side is CP and the retreating side is DP. The stir zone (SZ) of (i) the DP/DP joint mainly consists of lath martensite, while the stir zone of (ii) the CP/CP joint consists not only of lath martensite but also of bainite. In the case of (iii) DP/CP and (iv) CP/DP, they exhibit a similar microstructure including acicular-shaped phases in the joints; however, cross-sections of the joints show differences in material mixing in each case. In (iv) the CP/DP joint, temperature towards the CP steel is sufficient to cause softening, thus leading to better mixing than that in (iii) DP/CP. The phases of the SZ in each of the four cases are formed by phase transformation during the FSWed process; however, the transformed phase volume fraction of CP steel is lower than that of DP steel, indicating that dynamic recrystallization occurs mainly in CP steel. The hardness values of the SZ are significantly higher than those of the base materials, especially, the SZ of (iii) the DP/CP joint has the highest value due to highest fraction of lath martensite.
