The Influences of Covert Narcissism on Displaced Aggression in Late Childhood: The Mediating Effects of Internalized Shame and Rejection Sensitivity (학령후기 아동의 내현적 자기애가 전위 공격성에 미치는 영향: 내면화된 수치심과 거부민감성의 매개효과)

  • Objective: This study aimed to examine the mediating effects of internalized shame and rejection sensitivity in the relationship between covert narcissism and displaced aggression in late childhood. Methods: The participants included 1,060 children (grades 5 and 6; 547 boys and 513 girls) from four elementary schools located in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, and Chungcheong-do. Results: The primary results of this study were as follows. First, child covert narcissism had a direct effect on displaced aggression; children who perceived higher levels of covert narcissism exhibited more displaced aggression. Second, child covert narcissism had an indirect effect on their displaced aggression through internalized shame and rejection sensitivity. Children who perceived higher levels of covert narcissism reported more internalized shame and rejection sensitivity, which led to more displaced aggression. Conclusion: The findings of this research indicate that individual and interpersonal psychological factors need to be considered to explain displaced child aggression. Further, it is important that we help children to gain positive relationships with family and peers. It will help them break away their negative self or others representation, especially their internalized shame and rejection sensitivity.

The Influences of Parental Psychological Control on Displaced Aggression -Mediating Effects of Internalized Shame and Rejection Sensitivity- (대학생이 지각한 부모의 심리적 통제가 전위공격성에 미치는 영향 : 내면화된 수치심과 거부민감성의 매개효과)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the mediating effect of internalized shame and rejection sensitivity between parental psychological control, and displaced aggression in college students. For this purpose, 406 data samples were collected from the college students. SPSS was used for the analysis of descriptive statistics, reliability, correlation, AMOS for the evaluation of structural equation model and the mediating effect, and Mplus for the double mediating effect. Following is the summarization of the study. First, the displaced aggression has a positive relation with parental psychological control, internalized shame, and rejection sensitivity. Also, there were positive relations between internalized shame and parental psychological control, parental psychological control and rejection sensitivity, and internalized shame and rejection sensitivity. Second, internalized shame has a full mediation effect between parental psychological control and displaced aggression. Third, rejection sensitivity has not a mediation effect between parental psychological control and displaced aggression. Fourth, internalized shame and rejection sensitivity were identified as double mediation variables between parental psychological control and displaced aggression. This result inspires the college student's displaced aggression and can be useful in college student's counseling settings. Meanings, limitations and suggest for future research were discussed.

The Influences of Childhood Trauma, Rejection Sensitivity, Emotional Recognition Clarity on Displaced Aggression (아동기 외상, 거부민감성, 정서인식명확성이 전위공격성에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of childhood trauma, rejection sensitivity, and emotional recognition clarity on displaced aggression An online survey was conducted with 208 adults at H cyber university. Correlation analysis and double mediation effect analysis were performed through SPSS Win 25 and SPSS Process Macro, and the results are as follows. First, childhood trauma and rejection sensitivity showed positive correlations with displaced aggression, and emotional recognition clarity showed negative correlations. Second, in the relationship between childhood trauma and displaced aggression, rejection sensitivity was found to indirectly mediate, but emotional recognition clarity did not. Third, in the relationship between childhood trauma and displaced aggression, rejection sensitivity and emotional recognition clarity were found to be double-mediated. These results are expected to be used as basic data to reduce the displaced aggression of those who have experienced childhood trauma.

Effects of Social Exclusion on Displaced Aggression: the Mediatingon Effect of Stress and Conditional Direct Effect of Social Support (사회적 배제가 전위된 공격성에 미치는 영향: 스트레스의 매개효과 및 사회적지지의 조건부 직접효과)

  • This study focused on the characteristics of motiveless crimes that mainly originated from interpersonal problems and were acts of revenge against innocent third parties. This study confirmed the relationship between the experience of social exclusion and displaced aggression and examined the relationship between the two variables. We sought to confirm the role of related factors such as stress and social support. For this purpose, we established and tested hypotheses about the mediatingon effect of stress and the moderated mediatingon effect of social support on the effect of social exclusion experience on displaced aggression among 353 adult males aged between 19 and 49 years. The main results are that, first, social exclusion had a positive effect on displaced aggression. Second, stress was found to partially mediate the relationship between social exclusion and displaced aggression. Third, the hypothesis that social support would moderate the mediating effect of stress was not provedvaild, but the conditional direct effect of social support was confirmed in the mediation model. In other words, social support did not affect the indirect effect mediated by stress, but appeared to moderate the direct effect between social exclusion and displaced aggression. Social exclusion's prediction of displaced aggression was significant only in the average social support group (mean) and the high group (M+1SD), and appeared to increase as the group increased. This means that in groups with high social support, displaced aggression is used as a stress control strategy, which is a different result from previous studies that found that social support plays a role in lowerings aggression. People with low levels of social support showed unexpected results in that they used displaced aggression less frequently despite their experiencinge of social exclusion. In the discussion, the social implications of these results were interpreted, and additional research ideas were proposed to specify the relationship between social exclusion and displaced aggression.

The Relationship between Workplace Bullying Victimization and Displaced Aggression: The Mediating Effects of Perceived Organizational Injustice and State Anger (20, 30대의 직장 내 괴롭힘 피해경험과 전위된 공격성 간의 관계: 지각된 조직불공정성과 상태분노의 이중매개효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between workplace bullying victimization and displaced aggression, along with the mediating effects of perceived organizational injustice and state anger. Self-reported data of 268 employees were analyzed using SPSS 22.0 and Process macro. When applying the standard suggested by Leymann(1996), which defines workplace bullying victims as those who experience at least one negative act, on a weekly basis, for more than 6 months, the bullying victimization prevalence rate was 77.2%. Furthermore, although workplace bullying victimization did not directly predict displaced aggression, it significantly predicted perceived organizational injustice and state anger. Both mediators significantly predicted displaced aggression. The mediating effect of bullying victimization on displaced aggression through perceived organizational injustice and state anger subsequently was also significant. This study has its significance in that it thoroughly investigated the current state of workplace bullying victimization among people in their 20s and 30s, and helps better understand the relationship between workplace bullying victimization and displaced aggression.

Effect of the Displaced Aggression on Cyberbullying Tendencies and the Moderating Role of Penetrator Sensitivity (전위된 공격성이 사이버불링경향성에 미치는 영향과 가해자 정의민감성의 조절효과)

  • This study was to examine the effect of Displaced aggression and Justice sensitivity(victim sensitivity and penetrator sensitivity) on Cyberbullying tendency in 20s adult, and the moderating role of Justice sensitivity to identify psychological factors affecting a serious social problem, cyberbullying. The online survey was handed to 261 adults in their 20s for a month. First, Simple regression analysis shows that displaced aggression(F=62.55, p<.001) and victim sensitivity(F=29.61, p<.001) predict cyberbullying tendency. Second, hierarchical regression analysis by controlling the effects of sex, the perpetrator sensitivity has been shown to morderate the relationship between displaced aggression and cyberbullying tendencies(F=29.61, p<.001), and the effect of victim sensitivity has not been significant. In conclusion, that future studies need to consider the limitations of this study to ensure that the same results are shown in different age groups and also some approaches such as empathetic understanding could help to reduce cyberbullying.

Socio-Economic Aspects of the Impact of Military Actions on the Labor Force

  • Ukraine has a significant in quantity and unique in quality parameters, in particular, the level of education, a resource - the labor force, which, along with natural resources, can serve as the basis for economic growth and the achievement of sustainable development goals. The study is aimed at a thorough identification of the main factors influencing the formation and use of the labor force in Ukraine, including by comparing with the indicators of the EU countries, before the start of the active phase of military aggression by the Russian Federation. It was found that until February 24, 2022, there were negative trends in the change in the quantitative and qualitative indicators of the labor force due to the demographic crisis, the transformation of the national economy and shortcomings in state regulation of labor market development processes. The military actions not only exacerbated pre-existing problems, but also led to the emergence of new ones. A significant number of refugees and internally displaced persons, with the termination of the activities of half of the economic entities, provoked a sharp increase in real unemployment and a decrease in wages. The specific problem of the labor market of Ukraine - the "labor crisis", which has and will have a significant impact on the labor force, is carefully considered.
