Flow carrying capacity of water distribution systems is getting reduced by deterioration of pipes in the systems. The objective of this paper is to present a managerial decision-making model for the rehabilitation of water distribution systems with a mininum cost. The decisions made by the model also satisfy the requirements for discharge and pressure at demanding nodes in the systems. Replacement cost, pipe break repair cost, and pumping cost are considered in the economic evaluation of the decision along with the break rate and the interest rate to determine the optimal replacement time for each pipe. Then, the hydraulic integrity of the water distribution system is checked for the decision by a pipe network simulator, KYPIPE, if discharge and pressure requirements are satisfied. In case the system does not satisfy the hydraulic requirements, the decision made for the optimal replacement time is revised until the requirments are satisfied. The model is well applied to an existing water distribution system, the Seoul Metropolitan Water Supply System (1st Phase). The results show that the decisions for the replacement time determined by the economic analysis are accepted as optimal and hydraulic integrity of the system is in good condition.

Now days, heavy storm occur to be continue. It is hard to use before frequency based on flood discharge for decision that design water pocket structure. We need to estimation of frequency based on flood discharge on the important basin likely city or basin that damage caused by flood recurrence. In this paper flood discharge calculated by Clark watershed method and SCS synthetic unit hydrograph method about upside during each minute of among time distribution method of rainfall, Huff method choosing Bocheong Stream basin that is representative basin of International Hydrologic Project (IHP) about time distribution of rainfall that exert big effect at flood discharge estimate to research target basin because of and the result is as following. Relation between probability flood discharge that is calculated through frequency analysis about flood discharge data and rainfall - runoff that is calculated through outward flow model was assumed about $48.1{\sim}95.9%$ in the case of $55.8{\sim}104.0%$, SCS synthetic unit hydrograph method in case of Clark watershed method, and Clark watershed method has big value overly in case of than SCS synthetic unit hydrograph method in case of basin that see, but branch of except appeared little more similarly with frequency flood discharge that calculate using survey data. In the case of Critical duration, could know that change is big area of basin is decrescent. When decide time distribution type of rainfall, apply upside during most Huff 1-ST because heavy rain phenomenon of upsides appears by the most things during result 1-ST about observation recording of target area about Huff method to be method to use most in business, but maximum value of peak flood discharge appeared on Huff 3-RD too in the case of upside, SCS synthetic unit hydrograph method during Huff 3-RD incidental of this research and case of Clark watershed method. That is, in the case of Huff method, latitude is decide that it is decision method of reasonable design floods that calculate applying during all $1-ST{\sim}4-TH$.

We simulated insulation defects of stator winding wire on high voltage generator by 5 types. 4 types have one discharge source and other one has multi discharge source by simulation. For accurate decision, measurements used to PRPD pattern to occurred partial discharge source of various types. In this research, when PRPD pattern carried out or analyzed pattern recognition of discharge source, it used to powerful tools. In this result, PRPD Pattern defined to have single discharge source of 4 types by insulation defect. When insulation defect simulated, all the defected winding have not the same result. Errors for a little different can make mistakes from a subtle distinction. The difference between internal and void discharge have magnitude of pulse amplitude of inner discharge bigger than void discharge and have a shape of bisymmetry. But void discharge has a shape of bisymmetry against maximum value on polarity respectively. In cases of slot and surface discharge, we confirmed to show similar results those other researchers. In case of multi-discharge, as a result of we could classify not perfect match with occurred patterns in single discharge eachother. In the future, we will have to recognize and classify with results of multi-discharge.

The partial discharge has been blown as the chief breakdown of power equipments. The analysis and the recognition is much difficult because the partial discharge signal is very small and has complex aging pattern. Recently, insulation aging diagnosis based on pattern of phase(Ф), partial discharge magnitude(q), number(n) has been very important. Owing to depreciate the reappearance of aging progress at the electrical tree pattern and to be difficult to analyze visually, the study on partial discharge pattern is suggested to normalizing analysis method of partial discharge signals. This parer is purposed on prediction of life-time measurement of cv-cable, on decision of risk degree with normalization and real-time measurement of partial discharge signals for aging diagnosis of cv-cable. As normalizing the aging signals of electrical tree in cv-cable, it is able to confirm risk degree of insulation material with the distribution of Ф-q-n and recognize the process of aging pattern using neural network.

In this study we developed a turbidity management system to support the operation for effective turbid water management. The decision-making system includes various models for prediction of turbid water inflow, effective reservoir operation using the selective withdrawal facility, analysis of turbid water discharge in the downstream. The system is supported by the intensive monitoring devices installed in the upstream rivers, reservoirs, and downstream rivers. SWAT and HSPF models were constructed to predict turbid water flows in the Imha and Andong catchments. CE-QUAL-W2 models were constructed for turbid water behavior prediction, and various analyses were conducted to examine the effects of the selective withdrawal operation for efficient high turbid water discharge, turbid water distribution under differing amount and locations of turbid water discharge. A 1-dimensional dynamic water quality model was built using Ko-Riv1 for simulation of turbidity propagation in the downstream of the reservoirs, and 2-dimensional models were developed to investigate the mixing phenomena of two waters discharged from the Andong and Imha reservoirs with different temperature and turbidity conditions during joint dam operation for reducing the impacts of turbid water.
This study was conducted to propose an insight into the appropriateness of hospital length of stay(LOS) by developing a severity-adjusted LOS model for patients with pneumonia, organism unspecified. The pneumonia risk-adjustment model developed in this paper is based upon the 2006-2010 the Korean National Hospital Discharge in-depth Injury Survey. Decision tree analysis revealed that age, admission type, insurance type, and the presence of additional disorders(pleural effusion, respiratory failure, sepsis, congestive heart failure etc.) were major factors affecting the severity-adjusted model using the Clinical Classifications Software(CCS). Also there was a difference in LOS among the regional hospitals, especially the hospital LOS has not been efficiently managed in Gyeongsangbuk-do, Jeollanam-do, Jeollabuk-do, Daejeon, and Busan. To appropriately manage hospital LOS, reliable statistical information about severity-adjusted LOS should be generated on a national level to make sure that hospitals voluntarily reduce excessive LOS and manage main causes of delayed discharge.

Detecting acoustic emission (AE) provides an appropriate method to diagonize on-line transformers, since acoustic signal is not influenced by strong electric field. Then AE versus AE signal processing method is investigated. But this processing is difficult that decision of starting point of AE wave with acoustic noise. This problem is sloved by correlation which calculate time interval between two signals eactly. This paper presents a technique locating the eact position of the partial discharge (PD) in a power transformer by the correlation of the AE signals from two ultrasonic sensors. And PD position is displayed on monitor. Laboratory tests confirmed that the proposed method can be used for locating the PD in power transformer.
Purpose: The study evaluated a program to shorten EMC stay time. Methods: The subjects were EMC patients, and comprised a control group of 8,477 and an experimental group of 8,378. Data were collected from June 2006 to August 2007, and analyzed concerning stay time for doctor visit, decision making, and discharge. The data were analyzed by $X^2$-test and ANCOVA using SPSS14.0. Result: The stay time of doctor visit, decision making and discharge of the experimental group was significantly less compared to the control group. Using second and third grade triage criteria, the stay time of experimental group was statistically reduced from the control. Conclusion: The implemented shortening program was effective in reducing EMC stay time and increasing EMC effectiveness.
Objectives : DAMA cases were analyzed to examine what the main casual factors of DAMA were and how to deal with these cases effectively in hospital with the DAMA interdisciplinary team including medical social worker whose role is to perform psycho-social assessment, family counsel, to evaluate family's DAMA need. Patients and Methods : The content analysis of medical record and social work record were reviewed in 37 cases referred by medical doctor to DAMA team. These cases were reported by patients' self discharge request or family's request for discharge from September 1998 to February 2000. The DAMA team consists of Assistant Director of Hospital as team leader, medical staff in-charge, social worker, QI nurse, other staff members who are not involved in direct treatment for patient, and administrative clerk. Results : The results of content analysis are as follows : 1) The most causal factors of DAMA consist of combination of more than 2 factors. 2) The major decision-maker is revealed to be son and daughter of patient. 3) In 59.4% of cases, family was not informed of patients' prognosis, alternatives, the consequence of DAMA at all. 4) In cases of DAMA report, the rapid intervention of social worker is carried out. Conclusion : In this study, we propose the interdisciplinary team approach to make decision legitimately and ethically for DAMA. The suggestions from this study are as follows : 1) To deal with DAMA case properly, the interdisciplinary team approach should be considered. 2) The criteria for DAMA case should be formed carefully. For the explicit selection of DAMA case, preliminary system for high-risk patient screening is recommended. 3) The medical social worker is available for the psycho-social problems of the patient once family members. For the effective family counselling, discharge planning and nursing home placement, the participation of medical social worker should be mandatory.
