  • Sugar polymers have been considered as biomaterial. Biomaterials are widely utilized for a medical applications in direct contact with living tissue Clearly, biomaterials must be carefully and microscopically fabricated for optimal acceptance within the living organism in both functional and structural senses. In this study, the enzymatic synthesis of sorbitan methacrylate from 1,4-sorbitan via the manipulation of an immobilized biocatalyst (Novozym 435) and acryl donors (methacrylic acid and vinyl methacrylate) was evaluated.

The Effects of Simplicity and Interactivity in Blog Services

  • The main goal of this study is to propose a model of simplicity and interactivity effect on usability in the blog services. As web-based applications become increasingly complicated, the need for simplicity in user interface design has grown for better usability. Also, interactivity has been known to influence on usability. Previous studies argued that usability is a key factor for system success. Usability is concerned with attributes of an application that makes it understandable, learnable, easy to use, and attractive. For the complicated technology, perceived control, related to direct manipulation of an object, is important. In this regard, we posit that simplicity, interactivity, and perceived control makes important antecedents to usability. Finally, we tested that the effect of usability on user s loyalty with the blog services along with trust and satisfaction. Future studies will empirically examine the proposed model, emphasizing the importance of simplicity and interactivity for the user interface design.

  • Truck dispatching is one of the most commonly occurring problems of transprot management. We developed an interactive decision support system named IDSSTD, for the truck dispatching problem where two conflicting objectives are treated and travel speed varies depending on the passing areas and time of day. The IDSSTD aids the decision-making process by allowing the user to interact directly with the database, to direct data to a decision model, and to portray results in a convenient form. The IDSSTD is consisted of two major interactive phases. The pre-scheduling interactive phase is to reduce the complexity of a given problem before applying the BC-saving heuristic algorithm and the post-scheduling interactive phase is to improve practically the algorithmic solution. The IDSSTD has the capabilities of its own manipulation(analysis and recommendation) and diverse graphic features in order to facilitate a user's interaction.

집약초지의 조성기술 (Agronomic Practces on Intensive Pasture Establishment)

  • In reviewing of the literature concerning agronomic practices on intensive pasture establishment the following suggestions were made : (1) The seedbed preparation should be involved physical manipulation of the soil tilth and consolidation of the soil by harrows and heavy roller. (2) In terms of methods of sowing, drilling favours the first and broadcasting the second however, the apparent superiority of band sowing over the above conventional methods is to reduce the direct toxic chemical effects from fertilizers to germinating seeds. (3) The most satisfactory seeding depth for grasses and legumes is commonly agreed to be approximately 1.3cm and seeding depth greater than 2.5cm seems to be generally detrimental. (4) Autumn and spring are most common sowing periods for grasses and legumes, however, early autumn being the most generally favoured, particularly in areas not subject to severe winter kill. (5) Select nurse crop species or cultivars which make Bess demands on light, nutrients and water, and lower seed rates should be used. (6) Seeding mixtures should be simple rather than complex and aggressive species should be included to a minor extent.

  • The analysis of prismatic members made of reinforced concrete under inclined bending, especially the computation of ultimate loads, is a pronounced non-linear problem which is frequently solved by discretizing the stress distribution in the cross-section using interpolation functions. In the approach described in the present contribution the exact analytical stress distribution is used instead. The obtained expressions are integrated by means of a symbolic manipulation package and automatically converted to optimized Fortran code. The direct problem-computation of ultimate internal forces given the position of the neutral axis-is first described. Subsequently, two kinds of inverse problem are treated: the computation of rupture envelops and the dimensioning of reinforcement, given design internal forces. An iterative Newton-Raphson procedure is used. Examples are presented.

  • 본 논문에서는 웹 페이지 제작을 위한 기본지식이 전혀 없는 초보자나 비전광자라 할지라도 간단한 마우스 조작과 최소한의 필요정보 입력만으로 특수 목적의 홈페이지를 사용자의 요청에 파라 제작할 수 있고, 제작된 홈페이지의 운용과정에서 요구되는 홈페이지의 수정은 웹 페이지 소스를 직접 수정하지 않더라도 손쉽게 유지보수 할 수 있도록 하는 주문형 홈페이지 자동화시스템과 이의 구현방법에 관해 연구하였다.

  • 컴퓨터 기능의 발전과 가격의 하락은 컴퓨터를 이용한 통계그래픽을 과거에는 상상할 수 없을 정도로 발전시키고 여러사람이 손쉽게 쓸 수 있게 되었다. 화면 위에서 직접 자료조작과 그 결과의 순간적 출력으로 요약되는 다이나믹 그래픽의 기능을 최근에 개발된 통계패키지인 S-PLUS와 XLISP-STAT에서 비교하여 보았다. XLISP-STAT은 아주 간단한 프로그램으로 여러 다이나믹 그래픽기능을 수행할 수 있다. 아직 초기 단계에 있는 컴퓨터 통계그래픽에는 개선의 여지가 많고 새로운 방법을 창안할 수 있는 가능성도 있어 연구대상으로서도 그 전망이 매우 밝다고 생각된다.

B-스플라인 동작을 이용한 Generalized Cylinder의 직접제어 (Direct Manipulation of Generalized Cylinders based on B-spline Motion)

  • 본 논문은 일반화된 원통(generalized cylinder)의 모양을 상호작용을 통해 조절할 수 있도록 하는 직접 제어 방법을 제시한다. 이 연구에서는 일반화된 원통을 단면을 이루는 B-스플라인 곡선이 B-스플라인 동작에 의해서 움직여 지나간 스윕(sweep) 곡면으로 해석한다. 만들어진 곡면은 주어진 단연 곡선들을 골격 곡선을 따라서 보간하는 NURBS 곡면으로 나타내어진다. 사용자가 일반화된 원통 곡면 위의한 점을 움직일 때, 단면의 모양과 해당하는 동작을 수정하여 일반화된 원통의 곡면이 사용자에 의해 움직여진 위치를 지나도록 변형시킨다. 곡면의 변형은 목표 추적 과정을 거쳐 이루어진다. 이 방법에 의해 구현된 시스템을 이용하여 실시간으로 일반화된 원통을 직접 제어를 통해 디자인 할 수 있다.

  • A new monitoring system is proposed to give direct visual information of the remote site when working with a tele-operation system. In order to have a similar behavior of a human when he is inspecting an object, multiple cameras that have different view point are attached around the robot hand and are switched on and elf according to the operator´s motion such as joystick manipulation or operator´s head movement. 반발력을 생성하는 햅틱장비를 이용한 가상의 점토 모델링에 관한 연구 (On the Virtual Clay Modeling Using a Force Reflecting Haptic Manipulator)

  • A deformable non-Uniform Rational B-Spline (NURBS) based volume is programed for the force reflecting exoskeleton haptic device. In this work, a direct free form deformation (DFFD) technique is applied for the realistic manipulation. In order to implement the real-time deformation, a nodal mapping technique is used to connect points on the virtual object with the NURBS volume. This geometric modeling technique is ideally incorporated with the force reflecting haptic device as a virtual interface. The results in this work introduce details for the complete set-up for the realistic virtual clay modeling task with force feedback. The force reflecting exoskeleton haptic manipulator, coupled with a supporting PUMA 560 manipulator and the virtual clay model are integrated with the graphics display, and results show that the force feedback from the realistic physically based virtual environment can greately enhance the sense of immersion.
