The design flow considering nonstationarity is estimated to determine the design flood related to hydraulic structure quantitatively based on the design process for stream restoration in the Mokgamcheon watershed proposed by Lee et al. (2011). The purpose of this research is to suggest new ways that the design flood was calculated considering nonstationarity at the Mokgamcheon watershed. Storm-unit hydrograph method to calculate design flood and direct frequency analysis were applied and nonstationarity was considered for the frequency analysis through extRemes toolkit developed at NCAR (National Center for Atmospheric Research). Although the method of direct flood frequency analysis due to dealing with flowrates directly has a more reliable than strom-unit hydrograph method, as a result, the method of direct flood frequency analysis underestimated the design flood than strom-unit hydrograph method due to the characteristics of the flow data. Therefore, the flood of storm-unit hydrograph method (100 years frequency) was determined as the design flood in the Mokgamcheon watershed.
A systematic procedure for designing a direct-radiator-type loudspeaker has been developed, based on the numerical vibro-acoustic analysis and the Taguchi method. The finite-element model of the speaker cone has been used to calculated the vibration response of the cone excited by the voice coil. The vibration displacement of the speaker cone has been converted into the vibration velocity and used as a boundary condition for the acoustic analysis. The acoustic frequency characteristics of the loudspeaker have been calculated by the boundary element method. The numerical results have been verified by the experiments carried out in an anechoic chamber. Some design parameters have been selected by using the Taguchi method, and the variations of the acoustic characteristics due to the changes of the parameter values have been examined using the numerical model.

In this paper, as a part of the method improving stability, the load-flow calculation in D.C. power system and the models for stability analysis are studied with A.C-D.C. interconnected power systems transmission performed. Moreover, the theory is established in relation to each control method of D.C. power systems. Then the stability of A.C-D.C.interconnected power systems is compared and considered by the way of dividing the operating control method of the rectifier inverter converter into ACR-AVR, APR-A.gamma.R, A.alpha.R-ACR. The dynamics characteristic of terminal voltage, frequency, active-reactive power and rotor angle of the generator with disturbances and load fluctuations is considered. In addition, the characteristic of direct voltage, direct current, power and control systems. From this the comparative analysis of the direct current control method, the possibility of the stability analysis of A.C.-D.C. interconnected power system is considered. This study investigates the application of supercritical carbon dioxide (S-CO2) direct-cycle micro modular reactors (MMRs) in primary frequency control (PFC), which is a scenario characterized by significant load fluctuations that has received less attention compared to secondary load-following. Using a modified GAMMA + code and a deep neural network-based turbomachinery off-design model, the authors conducted an analysis to assess the behavior of the reactor core and fluid system under different PFC scenarios. The results indicate that the acceptable range for sudden relative electricity output (REO) fluctuations is approximately 20%p which aligns with the performance of combined-cycle gas turbines (CCGTs) and open-cycle gas turbines (OCGTs). In S-CO2 direct-cycle MMRs, the control of the core operates passively within the operational range by managing coolant density through inventory control. However, when PFC exceeds 35%p, system control failure is observed, suggesting the need for improved control strategies. These findings affirm the potential of S-CO2 direct-cycle MMRs in PFC operations, representing an advancement in the management of grid fluctuations while ensuring reliable and carbon-free power generation.
The present article reports an analysis and investigation of a direct AC-AC quasi-resonant converter. A bidirectional power device, whose switching frequency is lower than the frequency of the current passing through the load, is used for its realization. The zero voltage switching mode is described when zero voltage on the power device is available by measuring it with the control system. The continuous current in the resonant inductance by switching the power device at zero voltage is considered, and it is characterized by two sub-modes. A mathematical analysis of the processes has been made and comparative results from the computer simulation and experimental study have been brought. The converter can be used in a wide areas of power electronics: induction heating, wireless power transfer, AC-DC converters, etc.
Mechanical and electrical properties of a DDV(Direct Drive servo Valve) with electric feedback are analysed via reverse analysis technique in this work. The DDV is disassembled and mechanical parameters, such as spool mass, spring stiffness and port size are identified. The servo amplifier, which is built in the valve, is reversely analysed and the control scheme and gains for several control actions are also identified. The electrical feedback for spool displacement improves much better the valve performance, such as hysteresis and dynamic bandwidth frequency, than an ordinary mechanical feedback valve. Integrating control action with very large gain was adopted in the valve amplifier, and it seemed to give high performance.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to check the direction of KODISA's pursuit of complex and convergence studies by confirming the research trends of KODISA's direct academic journals such as JDS, JIDB, JBEES and JAFEB. To this end, we tried to compare and confirm the research trends of the papers in four academic journals targeting keywords. Research Design, data and methodology: The analysis was conducted from 2014 to 2020 on 867 papers from JDS, 315 papers from JIDB, 120 papers from JBEES, and 867 papers based on the publication year of the most recently published journal from JAFEB. For the analysis, frequency analysis, word crowding, topic modeling, and frequency analysis by applying weights for each year group were performed on the keywords crawled using Python. Results: The results of frequency analysis showed that each journal is properly oriented toward its target direction. In addition, it was confirmed that the results of topic modeling significantly reflected the results of frequency analysis. Finally, it could be concluded that the results of frequency analysis using the weights of keywords by year group were also developing in the direction the target journals were analyzed. Specifically, in the case of JDS, 20 keywords such as Service Quality, Distribution were found to increase continuously according to the year group. Meanwhile, the keywords that continued to increase according to JIDB's year group were India, Social Capital, and Job Stress. The keywords that continued to increase according to the year group of JBEES were Micro Finance Institutions and Microfinance, and the keywords that of JAFEB were confirmed to be Vietnam and Service Quality. Conclusion: It was confirmed that KODISA's direct management journals responded appropriately to convergence issues. In particular, it was confirmed that researches in various fields of JDS are continuously increasing. However, it seems that JIDB needs to deal with various issues additionally in the service industry field and JBEES in the environment field. Finally, it was found that JAFEB needs to be wary of the relatively low level of interest in some countries such as Kazakhstan and India in recent years.
Research on Lamb wave-based damage identification in plate-like structures depends on precise knowledge of dispersive wave velocity. However, boundary reflections with the same frequency of interest and greater amplitude contaminate direct waves and thus compromise measurement of Lamb wave dispersion in different materials. In this study, non-reflecting boundaries were proposed in both numerical and experimental cases to facilitate time-frequency characterization of Lamb wave dispersion. First, the Lamb wave equations in isotropic and laminated materials were analytically solved. Second, the non-reflecting boundaries were used as a series of frames with gradually increased damping coefficients in finite element models to absorb waves at boundaries while avoiding wave reflections due to abrupt property changes of each frame. Third, damping clay was sealed at plate edges to reduce the boundary reflection in experimental test. Finally, the direct waves were subjected to the slant-stack and short-time Fourier transformations to calculate the dispersion curves of phase and group velocities, respectively. Both the numerical and experimental results suggest that the boundary reflections are effectively alleviated, and the dispersion curves generated by the time-frequency analysis are consistent with the analytical solutions, demonstrating that the combination of non-reflecting boundary and time-frequency analysis is a feasible and reliable scheme for characterizing Lamb wave dispersion in plate-like structures.
To analyze th frequency modulation system the characteristic equation of the F-M system, i.e., Mathieu's equation, is derived from the equivalent circuits of direct modulation system. The analysis of F-M equation is undertaken by the Yonsei 101 Analog Computer. And the computer solution is compared with the theoretical solution. It is concluded that not only the frequency but also the amplitude of the carrier wave are changed by varying the modulation index and the system becomes unstable if the modulation index is increased near to unity.
The present study proposes and tests an integrative model for global consumers to examine the relation among fashion marketing mix, brand attitude, brand loyalty, and purchase intention in the jeans market. The questionnaire surveys 692 consumers in the United States, China, and France. The statistical analysis methods that are used are as follows: frequency analysis, factor analysis, SEM analysis, and multi-group analysis. The results show that fashionability, perceived quality, and advertising have a direct and also a positive effect on brand attitude; however, advertising didn't have a direct effect on purchase intention. In addition, the results of the SEM analysis show that brand attitude leads to brand loyalty, while also showing a direct and indirect positive effect on purchase intention. Furthermore, the multi-group analysis reveals significant differences in SEM among countries such as the United States, China, and France.
