디지탈 보청기의 이득보상기법에 대한 연구 (Dynamic Loudness Compensation for Digital Hearing Aids)

  • This paper presents a new method which compensates loss of loudness for digital hearing aids. Loudness grows more rapidly in frequency domain with substantial shifts of hearing threshold, so that loud sounds reach the uncomfortable sound level (UCL) at about the same physical stimulus level as with normal hearing. The result is a compression of the available dynamic range of hearing. Many techniques have been developed to compensate for hearing losses. In this paper, we propose a digital hearing aid which uses a single digital filter for reducing distortion and the fuzzy function to calculate gain factors. This function describes how much gain is needed for every frequency to restore loudness perception of a normal ear.

  • 컴퓨터 소프트웨어, 디지털 콘텐츠등 디지털 정보 재산권의 보호는 현재 뿐 아니라 향후 국가의 국력을 좌우할 수 있을 정도로 대단히 주요한 과제가 아닐 수 없다. 본 논문에서는 디지털 정보 재산권과 관련된 국내·외 연구 동향과 표절의 감정을 체계적으로 행하기 위한 소프트웨어 툴에 대해 비교·분석을 행하고자 한다. 주요 내용으로는 JISC을 중심으로 한 국외 감정 기관의 사업 동향과 분석 그리고 국내기관이나 단체의 움직임을 살펴보고자 한다. 또한 자연어 표절이나 프로그램 표절을 감정 할 수 있는 S/W틀에 대해 비교·분석을 행하고자 한다.

Study on Museum Digital Exhibition Mode and Industrialization of Intangible Cultural Heritage

  • Nowadays, most of exhibits are material antiquities while the exhibit of intangible cultural heritage is deficient and the form is less advanced which cannot meet the exhibition needs of digital times. This has resulted in insufficient display of intangible heritage's value which may not facilitate inherit and protection of intangible heritage, no other than protection mechanism of forming healthy industrialization. This article has established digital exhibition mode in museum about intangible cultural heritage by analysis on current museum and using mobile communication and augmented reality techniques. Discuss the mode in the layer integrating creative industry and mobile industry and provide practicable reference project of forming the healthy industrialization mechanism for protecting intangible heritage.

Shrink-Wrapped Boundary Face Algorithm for Mesh Reconstruction from Unorganized Points

  • A new mesh reconstruction scheme for approximating a surface from a set of unorganized 3D points is proposed. The proposed method, called a shrink-wrapped boundary face (SWBF) algorithm, produces the final surface by iteratively shrinking the initial mesh generated from the definition of the boundary faces. SWBF surmounts the genus-0 spherical topology restriction of previous shrink-wrapping-based mesh generation techniques and can be applied to any type of surface topology. Furthermore, SWBF is significantly faster than a related algorithm of Jeong and others, as SWBF requires only a local nearest-point-search in the shrinking process. Our experiments show that SWBF is very robust and efficient for surface reconstruction from an unorganized point cloud.

This paper introduces various digital image processing techniques commonly applied to digital displays. They include preferred color correction, tone reproduction, and frame rate conversion. Also, issues related to image quality evaluation are addressed.

Performance of SDR-Based Digital-IF Channelization for Dual-Band DS-CDMA System in Wideband Multipath Channel

  • In this paper, we analyzed the performance of SDR-based dual-band CDMA system in wideband multipath channel employing RAKE receiver with MRC diversity. For the simulation of SDR-based dual-band CDMA system, we used digital IF techniques, polyphase analysis filter bank as channelizer. Also, Remez exchange algorithm is employed in the realization of the digital filter in the polyphase analysis filter bank. For performance analysis of dual-band CDMA system, we consider power loss of IF signal after passing through channel and the filter. Also, the performance for different sampling rates is analyzed.

  • In recent years, digital content has become easily accessible because of internet technology. Representative examples of such digital content include various types, such as music, TV, (program, sport, drama etc.) and films. However, there are cases where internet technology is used in illegal ways without the authorization of the copyright holder for digital content. Such actions have a direct impact on copyright owners' profits and further affect the development of the digital culture industry adversely. Therefore, in this study, we analyze features to detect piracy sites that cause copyright infringement. Further, we develop a piracy site detection crawler based on these features and present the analysis of its performance.

A review on several methods for fast generation of digital Fresnel holograms

  • Computer generated holography (CGH) is technology for generating holograms of synthetic, three dimensional (3D) objects which may not exist in the physical world. The process, however, requires heavy amount of computation as the resolution of a hologram is significantly higher than that of a typical optical image. This paper reviews four modern techniques for fast generation of digital Fresnel holograms which are important in the development of holographic video systems. The methods that will be described include the virtual window, sub-line, wavefront recording plane (WRP), and the interpolative WRP schemes. These works share the common objective to generate digital Fresnel hologram at a speed that is close to the video frame rate, and with complexity which is realizable with affordable computing and reconfigurable hardware devices. The author will present the principles and realization of these works, as well as some potential area of research in digital holography.

모바일용 디지털 오디오 스피커를 위한 고효율 드라이버 설계 (A High-Efficiency Driver Design for Mobile Digital Audio Speakers)

  • In this paper, we designed Interpolation FIR(Finite Impulse Response) filter and 1-bit SDM(Sigma- Delta Modulator) for small digital audio speaker, which has low power consumption and high output characteristics. In order to achieve high linearity and low distortion performance of the systems, we adopt Type I Chevychev FIR filter which has equiripple characteristics in the pass band and proposed high efficient FIR filter structure. SDM is the most efficient modulation technique among the noise shaping techniques. In this paper, we implemented SDM using CIFB(Cascade of Intergrators, Feed-Back) which is generally used in DAC of small digital audio speakers. The proposed SDM structure can achieve high SNR, high-efficiency characteristics and low power consumption in mobile devices. Also considering manufacture of SoC(System on Chip), we performed simulation with Matlab and Verilog HDL to obtain optimal number of operational bits and verified a good experimental results.

  • 하프토닝은 단색으로 다양한 계조의 색단계를 표현하는 방법으로 인쇄 매체와 같은 분야에서 제한된 색으로 다양한 톤을 표현할 수 있도록 해주는 매우 중요한 영상처리기법이다. 본 논문에서는 공간채움곡선 (Space-Filling Curve)에 의한 하프토닝 방법의 대안으로 미로 생성 알고리즘에 기반한 새로운 하프토닝 방법을 제안한다. 기존의 공간채움곡선에 의한 오류 확산방법은 규칙적인 스캔 패턴으로 인해 해프토닝의 결과에도 규칙적인 패턴이 발생한다. 이러한 부분을 개선하기 위해 공간채움곡선 대신 미로의 경로를 사용함으로써 규칙적인 패턴을 제거하였다.
