PURPOSE. To determine wear amount of single molar crowns, made from four different restoratives, and opposing natural teeth through computerized fabrication techniques using 3D image alignment. MATERIALS AND METHODS. A total of 24 single crowns (N = 24 patients, age range: 18 - 50) were made from lithium disilicate (IPS E-max CAD), lithium silicate and zirconia based (Vita Suprinity CAD), resin matrix ceramic material (Cerasmart, GC), and dual matrix (Vita Enamic CAD) blocks. After digital impressions (Cerec 3D Bluecam, DentsplySirona), the crowns were designed and manufactured (Cerec 3, DentsplySirona). A dualcuring resin cement was used for cementation (Variolink Esthetic DC, Ivoclar). Then, measurement and recording of crowns and the opposing enamel surfaces with the intraoral scanner were made as well as at the third and sixth month follow-ups. All measurements were superimposed with a software (David-Laserscanner, V3.10.4). Volume loss due to wear was calculated from baseline to follow-up periods with Siemens Unigraphics NX 10 software. Statistical analysis was accomplished by Repeated Measures for ANOVA (SPSS 21) at = .05 significance level. RESULTS. After 6 months, insignificant differences of the glass matrix and resin matrix materials for restoration/enamel wear were observed (P>.05). While there were no significant differences between the glass matrix groups (P>.05), significant differences between the resin matrix group materials (P<.05) were obtained. Although Cerasmart and Enamic were both resin matrix based, they exhibited different wear characteristics. CONCLUSION. Glass matrix materials showed less wear both on their own and opposing enamel surfaces than resin matrix ceramic materials.
As the 21st century is the post-digital era, a mix of the hard digital and the soft analog realm, the school uniform designs for the post-digital generation need to be changed within this paradigm shift. Thus, this study is conducted with the purpose of developing the school uniform design that reflects aesthetic value and sensitivity of the post-digital generation. The definition and background of the post-digital generation is reviewed and the values of this generation are drawn based on the theoretical research. Also, through the survey of 205 high school girls in Seoul, the purchase, wear & fit, and suggestions for improvement of present school uniforms are investigated. Based on the studies above, the guidelines for designing school uniforms for the post-digital generation are established and the products are developed.

With the development of digital dentistry, it is being applied in various ways of dental treatment. This case report presents the definitive prosthesis designed in advance with a re-established vertical dimension and the digital technology, which determined the amount of tooth preparation, in order to preserve as much tooth structure as possible in a patient with pathological wear of the posterior teeth and loss of vertical dimension. For accurate tooth preparation, the guides of the occlusal and axial surfaces were digitally and additively manufactured. Then, aesthetics and anterior guidance were established at the provisional stage. The information of the provisional restoration was delivered to the definitive stage by double scanning. The digital technology, including the virtual planning and the guided tooth removal, produced the definitive restorations satisfactory to both the patient and clinician.

In order to maker unmanned machining systems with satisfactory performances, it is necessary to incorporate appropriate condition monitoring systems in the machining workstations to provide the required intelligence of the expert. This paper deals with condition monitoring for chatter, tool wear and fracture during turning operation. To develop economic sensing and identification methods for turning processes, sound pressure measurement and digital signal processing technique were proposed. We suppressed chatter by stability control methodology, which was studied through manipulation of spindle speeds regarding to chatter frequencies. It was shown that tool wear and fracture were identified and to be estimated by using the wear indices. The validity of the proposed system was confirmed through the large number of cutting tests.
This study was carried out to offer basic data that can be used for clothing industry for active senior males emerging as a new consumer bracket in the rapid aging age. To this end, this study conducted a questionnaire survey on consumers' wearing condition targeting active senior males. As a result of the questionnaire survey targeting active senior males, the outdoor wear items that they had the most were windbreaker jackets, long pants, and they said the most important reason for their preferred brand was wearing sensation. The matters to consider in purchasing outdoor wear were also wearing sensation and size. Consequently, the active senior males regard wearing sensation as very important. The measurements that they felt uncomfortable by body part were the abdominal extension circumference, sleeve length and jacket length of a jacket, and the rise and lengths of pants. To design the outdoor wear patterns suitable for the active senior male's body type, the pattern measurements of these body parts need to be modified. From the fact-finding survey result on outdoor wear companies, their measurement indicating method was the same for jackets, but each brand used different methods for pants. Based on the results of this survey, outdoor wear needs to be developed to meet active senior needs.

The result of this research as follows. First, young casual brands will have to seek ways to differentiate as brand identity, value of product, satisfaction for consumer's culture and lifestyle. Second, As a result of the adaptation of ethnic fashion, 8 resort wears designed development of girlish young casual wear using computer graphics. Third, computer graphics could contribute to the rapid composition of diverse, new and differenciated design research on it.
Vehicular traffic on turf results in loss of green cover due to direct tearing of shoots and indirect long-term soil compaction. Protection of turfgrass crowns from wear could increase the ability of turf to recover from heavy traffic. Plastic turfpavers have been installed in trafficked areas to reduce soil compaction and to protect turfgrass crowns from wear. The objectives of this study were to evaluate traffic performance of turfgrasses (Zoysia matrella and Axonopus compressus) and soil mixture (high, medium and low sand mix) combinations on turf-paver complex. The traffic performance of turf and recovery was evaluated based on percent green cover determined by digital image analysis and spectral reflectance responses by NDVI-meter. Bulk density cores indicated significant increase in soil compaction from medium and low sand mixtures compared to high sand mixture. Higher reduction of percent green cover was observed from A. compressus (30-40%) than Z. matrella (10-20%) across soil mixtures. Both turf species displayed higher wear tolerance when established on higher sand (>50% sand) than low sand mixture. Positive turf recovery was also supported by complementary spectral responses. Establishment of Zoysia matrella turf on turfpaver complex using high sand mixture will result in improved wear tolerance.

Purpose. The aim of this study was to investigate to what extent cyclic load affects the screwless implant-abutment connection for Morse taper dental implants. Materials and Methods. 16 implants (SICvantage max) and 16 abutments (Swiss Cross) were used. The screwless implant-abutment connection was subjected to 10,000 cycles of axial loading with a maximum force of 120 N. For the pull-off testing, before and after the same cyclic loading, the required force for disconnecting the remaining 6 implant-abutment connections was measured. The surface of 10 abutments was examined using a scanning electron microscope 120× before and after loading. Results. The pull-off test showed a significant decrease in the vertical force required to pull the abutment from the implant with mean 229.39 N ± 18.23 before loading, and 204.30 N ± 13.51 after loading (P<.01). Apart from the appearance of polished surface areas and slight signs of wear, no visible damages were found on the abutments. Conclusion. The deformation on the polished abutment surface might represent the result of micro movements within the implant-abutment connection during loading. Although there was a decrease of the pull-off force values after cyclic loading, this might not have a notable effect on the clinical performance.
