  • This study investigates the effect of the semi-supervised learning(SSL) method on predicting default risk of peer-to-peer(P2P) loans. Despite its proven performance, the supervised learning(SL) method requires labeled data, which may require a lot of effort and resources to collect. With the rapid growth of P2P platforms, the number of loans issued annually that have no clear final resolution is continuously increasing leading to abundance in unlabeled data. The research data of P2P loans used in this study were collected on the LendingClub platform. This is why an SSL model is needed to predict the default risk by using not only information from labeled loans(fully paid or defaulted) but also information from unlabeled loans. The results showed that in terms of default risk prediction and despite the use of a small number of labeled data, the SSL method achieved a much better default risk prediction performance than the SL method trained using a much larger set of labeled data.

  • Through recent metaverse marketing case studies, success factors and activation methods were analyzed from the perspective of content, platform, network, and device of the metaverse ecosystem in each industry. The importance of contents and platform of metaverse could be found in entertainment, fashion, office space and real estate, education, advertisement and commerce industries. In order to vitalize the metaverse, firstly, it is necessary to strengthen active participation and retention by providing a stable revenue model for market participants. Secondly, the importance of attractive content to expand subscribers is a key trigger for metaverse activation. Thirdly, it is necessary to increase the convenience of using metaverse service by using a light and simple device for the user. Fourthly, a win-win cooperation strategy should be supported in the value chain of the industry through ecosystem scalability. In addition, business opportunities for market participants and additional revenue models should be continuously provided.

  • This study aims to analyze the determinants of culture and art consumption of one person households using 「2019 National Art and Culture Activity Survey」. Based on previous research, cultural and economic capital, health perception, and residence were selected as independent variables, and 1,755 single household data on cultural attendance, art education, and demographics were extracted to analyze the relationships. Zero-inflated negative binomial model was employed as cultural attendance variable includes many zeros. It was found that education has a significant impact on cultural attendance possibility and frequency. However, art education in childhood, income, health perception, and residence were found to have selective effects, and unique characteristics of single households influences the findings. This study contributes to developing relevant research by focusing on the single households and provides implications to boost cultural consumption. Finally, directions for future research, such as considering psychographic variables, were suggested.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine how factors that select Airbnb service affect service satisfaction and the moderating effect according to marital status. The subjects of this study are customers who who have used Airbnb services in the metropolitan area. The questionnaire survey was conducted with 150 people, and the results were analyzed and hypothesis testing was performed using Structural Equation Model(SEM). As a result of the study, it has been found that price, online review, and Unique Experience Expectation(UEE) among the factors that selected Airbnb have positive effects on service use satisfaction. In addition, marital status has been found to play a mediating role among price, UEE and customer satisfaction. For single customers, price is an important factor influencing service satisfaction, but for married customers, it is not. In this sense, it is important not only to conduct marketing and promotions considering only gender, but also to provide services according to whether they are single or married.

  • This study aims to analyze exercise cases and issues using smart devices and technologies, and to present the development direction of a smart exercise environment suitable for the wellness life of active seniors with high activity and economic power unlike the existing silver generation. In the fitness industry, the subscription economy that regularly receives or uses necessary exercise tools, services, and digital content is expanding, and business models based on hardware sales and content subscription continue to emerge. In order to have value competitiveness as a platform that provides active seniors with integrated exercise services for health care, not only fitness centers, but also home training exercise equipment, fitness-related applications, and smart wearable device markets should be organically connected to form an expanded total platform. In order to have value competitiveness as a platform that provides active seniors with integrated exercise services for health care, not only fitness centers, but also home training exercise equipment, fitness-related applications, and smart wearable device markets should be organically connected to form an expanded total platform. The linkage of the digital healthcare function, which provides real-time changes to exercise programs based on continuous monitoring and feed back through wearable devices before, after, and during exercise by receiving and selecting exercise programs suitable for individual health status, is the differentiating factor in the smart fitness model.

  • Patients' privacy protection is a heated issue in medical business, as medical information in digital format transmit everywhere through networks without any limitation. A current protection method for brain images is to deface from the brain image for patient's privacy. However, the defacing process often removes important brain voxels so that the defaced brain image is damaged for medical analysis. An ad-hoc method is proposed to conceal patient's identification by adding cylindrical mask, while the brain keep all important brain voxels. The proposed lossless deformation of brain image is verified not to loose any important voxels. Futhermore, the masked brain image is proved not to be recognized by others.

  • It is important to maintain information by application or 3D modeling through the satellite and UAV image which is a real world. The prevention business has recognized the need for accurate 3-D geospatial information around the disaster region to identify objects to 3D modeling. In this paper, we presented an approach to create 3D model and loading, processing the image using GIS techniques, and the digital topographic maps were used for the DEM and the features of the area. The result is a implementation of the simple application that illustrates the objects in 3-D. The presented approach will be used for identifying objects and assisting in regional planning around the airfields.

  • In this study we examined the economic value of restoration technology for oil spill using contingent value methods. One and one half approach to questionnaires can be taken when analyzing tax payer situations as well as single bound approach. The results of the empirical analysis suggest three conclusions. First, the economic value of the restoration technology considered are estimated to be between 8,439 won to 11,867 won per month. Second, the WTP is estimated differently depending on the approaches, OOHB and SB, and the degrees of difference are very sensitive to the model specifications. This empirical result supports the argument for using interval for the economic value when using CVM. Third, the empirical results may provide useful input to policy authorities attempting to estimate the economic justification of the R&D investment for developing an ocean environmental restoration technology.

  • The paper aims to examine the association between information and communication technology (ICT), economic growth and population health based on health production model in Malaysia. This theoretical health production function is represented as follows: where the output is an individual health outcome, and the inputs are determinants of health, such as income, education, health care costs, medical facilities, the environment, and lifestyle. The development of information and communication technologies are represented as of mobile cellular subscriptions (per 100) and fixed telephone subscriptions (100) using time series data from 1993-2017 from the World Bank database. Using the bound testing technique of cointegration, this study finds that ICT affects population health significantly and positively in the long- and short-run. This is because ICT inclusion improves human health and longevity. Whereas, economic growth has no significant impact on the population's health both in the short- and long-run. The findings indicate that a weak global economy affects Malaysia's economic growth and reduces the health expenditure per capita. The results of this study suggest that policymakers must develop policies that improves public health by increasing health literacy, disseminating health information and facilitating medical facilities. This study also suggests that health care systems should to concentrate on digital inclusion.
