Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the importance, difficulty, and frequency of work (duties and tasks) done by nurses' in Outpatient Departments (OPD). Method: Data were collected using structured questionnaires, which included 11 duties and 92 tasks making up the OPD nurse's job. Questionnaires were completed by 286 nurses. Each duty and task was analyzed for importance, difficulty, and frequency (range 1-3). Results: The mean score for importance was $2.58{\pm}0.29$, for difficulty, $2.11{\pm}0.31$, and for frequency, $2.18{\pm}0.31$. OPD nurses recognized 'patient education and consultation' as important and difficult. However, in practice OPD nurses reported the most frequent task as 'support for medical services'. There was a significant difference in importance and difficulty of duties according to OPD nurses' university degree (F=3.693, p=.026; F=4.089, p=.018) and hospital size (F=4.274, p=.006; F=3.154, p=.025). However there were no differences in importance, difficulty, or frequency according to clinical experience in OPD. Conclusion: The findings indicate that OPD nurses must be able to do important and difficult duties and tasks, especially patient education and consultation. To have time for these uniquely nursing tasks, OPD nurses need to delegate 'preparation for medical service', and 'management of facility and environment' to nonmedical health-care workers.
Objectives: The purpose of the study is to investigate the correlation with subjective oral health status and food preference in elderly people. Methods: Data were extracted from the fifth Korea National Health and Nutrition Survey 2010-2012. The survey data included general characteristics of the subjects, food preference, and subjective oral health status. Food preference was analyzed by assigning score to 63 food categories. The subjective oral health status consisted of toothache within a month, self-perception of oral health, chewing difficulty, mastication difficulty, and speaking difficulty. Data were analyzed by frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, ${\chi}^2$ test, t-test, and ANOVA using SPSS 22.0 program. Results: Elderly men had a tendency to have a liking for all food categories except for fruit. Difficulty in chewing and mastication was shown in those who had older age, lower education, lower monthly income, and national basic livelihood security. Difficulty in speaking was found in those who had older age, lower education, and national basic livelihood security. Self perception of oral health status was closely related to food preference for pulses and potatoes, fish, vegetables and others(p<0.05). Difficulties in chewing and mastication had relation to all food categories excepting cereals, lipids and sugars(p<0.05). Speaking difficulty were significantly different in pulses, potatoes, meat, eggs, vegetables, fruits, milk, dairy products, and others(p<0.05). Conclusions: Poor subjective oral health status was closely related to food preference. It is necessary to educate that maintenance of good oral health is to ingest the balanced nutrition in the elderly people.
This study analyzed the difficulty of scoring in different match situations in relation to which competitor scored first. The study analyzed the data from the 2022 Guadalajara World Taekwondo Championships. The analysis was performed for two separate weight classes: lightweight and heavyweight. Four game content variables were used: whether the athlete scored first, attack type, attack area, and game situation. Descriptive statistics, the Rasch model, and discrimination function questions were applied for data processing. SPSS and Winsteps were used for the statistical analysis, and the statistical significance level was set at 0.05. Consequently, in the lightweight class, the scoring frequency of the first scorer was high for all the game variables. In the heavyweight class, the scoring frequency for the first scorer was high for the attack type and attack area. By contrast, those who did not score first were more frequently found to be in a loss situation. By analyzing the scoring difficulties in different match situations based on whether the competitor scored first, the athletes who scored first in attack type most easily scored first. In losing situations, the athletes who scored first in attack area scored most easily, whereas those who did not score first scored most easily in body and match situations. For the heavyweight class, those who scored first in terms of attack type, counter-attack, and attack area scored the most easily while winning in body and match situations.
Brain computer interfaces (BCI) usually have focused on classifying the explicitly-expressed intentions of humans. In contrast, implicit intentions should be considered to develop more intelligent systems. However, classifying implicit intention is more difficult than explicit intentions, and the difficulty severely increases for subject independent classification. In this paper, we address the subject independent classification of implicit intention based on electroencephalography (EEG) signals. Among many machine learning models, we use the support vector machine (SVM) with radial basis kernel functions to classify the EEG signals. The Fisher scores are evaluated after extracting the gamma, beta, alpha and theta band powers of the EEG signals from thirty electrodes. Since a more discriminant feature has a larger Fisher score value, the band powers of the EEG signals are presented to SVM based on the Fisher score. By training the SVM with 1-out of-9 validation, the best classification accuracy is approximately 65% with gamma and theta components.
A standardized scoring system for college interview entrance examination means we standardize the score of examination to adjust the degree of difficulty among questions and difference of panel's disposition. A standardized scoring system were newly enforced at college interview entrance examination from 2001. Colleges want to choose the most suitably qualified students, taking full advantage of interview examination. Also they should always prepare for questions, plan the answers and a standardized scoring system so that all candidates get a fair shake. The main purpose of this paper is to provide a standardized scoring system for interview examination. The results of interview examination are ranked from highest to lowest and each candidate have different rank from several panels. So some unit scores from panels are given for each candidate using standard normal distribution. Then we calculate the mean unit score for each candidate and final interview entrance examination scores are given using the mean unit score for each candidate.

Objectives: There should be an objective analysis on the academic competency for incorporating Computer-based Test (CBT) in the education of traditional Korean medicine (TKM). However, the Item Response Theory (IRT) for analyzing latent competency has not been introduced for its difficulty in calculation, interpretation and utilization. Methods: The current study analyzed responses of 390 students of 8 years to the herbology test with 14 items by utilizing Rasch model, and the characteristics of test and items were evaluated by using characteristic curve, information curve, difficulty, academic competency, and test score. The academic competency of the students across gender and years were presented with scale characteristic curve, Kernel density map, and Wright map, and examined based on T-test and ANOVA. Results: The estimated item, test, and ability parameters based on Rasch model provided reliable information on academic competency, and organized insights on students, test and items not available with test score calculated by the summation of item scores. The test showed acceptable validity for analyzing academic competency, but some of items revealed difficulty parameters to be modified with Wright map. The gender difference was not distinctive, however the differences between test years were obvious with Kernel density map. Conclusion: The current study analyzed the responses in the herbology test for measuring academic competency in the education of TKM using Rasch model, and structured analysis for competency-based Teaching in the e-learning era was suggested. It would provide the foundation for the learning analytics essential for self-directed learning and competency adaptive learning in TKM.

The mandatory use of BIM(Building Information Model) in larger Korean public construction projects necessitates participants to have a comprehensive understanding of the relevant procedures and technologies, especially during the bidding stage. However, most small and medium-sized construction and engineering companies possess limited BIM proficiency and understanding. This hampers their ability to recognize bidding requirements and make informed decisions. To address this challenge, our study introduces a method to gauge the complexity of BIM requirements in bidding documents. This is achieved by integrating a morphological analyzer, which encompasses BIM bidding terminology, with a deep learning model. We investigated the effects of the parameters in our proposed deep learning model and examined its predictive validity. The results revealed an F1-score of 0.83 for the test data, indicating that the model's predictions align closely with the actual BIM performance challenges.
In order to investigate industrial fatigue due to visual display terminal (VDT) work of banking operations the questionnaire survey for subjective symptoms of fatigue was carried out on 470 bank clerks who had been engaged in VDT work for various length of work hours. The questionnaires comprised three groups of 10 items each, representing dullness and sleepiness (level of cerebral activation), difficulty in concentration (level of motivation) and bodily projection of fatigue. The results were as follows : 1. Of the 30 items of questionnaires, the highest percentage was accounted for by 'eye strain' (51.5% ), followed by 'feel stiffness in the neck or the shoulders'(33.4%), 'feel a pain in the low back'(26.8%), 'whole body feels tired'(19.6%) and 'feel headache'(17.9%) in the order of sequence. 2. The average weighted score for the first group of questionnaire items (dullness and sleepiness) was the largest among three groups and was followed by 'the third cup (bodily projection of fatigue) and the second item group (difficulty in concentration) in the order of sequence, suggesting the heavier mental stress of VDT work in banking operations rather than physical burden. 3. In terms of the age and sex of workers, work duration and VDT work percentage, the difference in average weighted score was noted only between sex, the score of female being larger than that of male. 4. The complaint rates of subjective symptoms showed close associations with the subjective optimums of room temperature, ventilation, illumination and noise level. 5. The significant correlation was showed between age, work duration and item of 'whole body feels tired', between VDT work percentage and items of 'eye strain' and 'feel stiffness in the neck or shoulders' and between all items of subjective symptoms.
Background and Objectives: The Gaps-In-Noise (GIN) test is a clinically effective measure of the integrity of the central auditory nervous system. The GIN procedure can be applied to a pediatric population above 7 years of age. The present study conducted the GIN test to compare the abilities of auditory temporal resolution among typically developing children, children with speech sound disorder (SSD), and children with cognitive difficulty (CD). Subjects and Methods: Children aged 8 to 11 years-(total n=30) participated in this study. There were 10 children in each of the following three groups: typically developing children, children with SSD, and children with CD. The Urimal Test of Articulation and Phonology was conducted as a clinical assessment of the children's articulation and phonology. The Korean version of the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children-III (K-WISC-III) was administered as a screening test for general cognitive function. According to the procedure of Musiek, the pre-recorded stimuli of the GIN test were presented at 50 dB SL. The results were scored by the approximated threshold and the overall percent correct score (%). Results: All the typically developing children had normal auditory temporal resolution based on the clinical cutoff criteria of the GIN test. The children with SSD or CD had significantly reduced gap detection performance compared to age-matched typically developing children. The children's intelligence score measured by the K-WISC-III test explained 37% of the variance in the percent-correct score. Conclusions: Children with SSD or CD exhibited poorer ability to resolve rapid temporal acoustic cues over time compared to the age-matched typically developing children. The ability to detect a brief temporal gap embedded in a stimulus may be related to the general cognitive ability or phonological processing.
