  • We devise a differential fixpoint computation method and develop a new worklist algorithm based on it. Compared with other differential methods, our method can deal with non-distributive systems and adopt any worklist scheduling policy satisfying restrictions imposed by differential evaluation. As a practical application, we present an interpretation framework and implement constant and alias analysis and memory lifetime analysis based on it. Our experiment shows that our method can save computation and worklist scheduling is also important in differential fixpoint evaluations.

  • The objective of this study is to develop a Stability Evaluation System for retaining walls to assess their safety in real-time during excavation. A ground investigation is typically conducted before construction to gather information about the soil properties and predict wall stability. However, these properties may not accurately reflect the actual ground being excavated. To address this issue, the study employed a differential evolution algorithm to estimate the soil parameters of the actual ground. The estimated results were then used as input for an artificial neural network to evaluate the stability of the retaining walls. The study achieved an average accuracy of over 90% in predicting differential settlement, wall displacement, anchor force, and structural stability of the retaining walls. If implemented at actual excavation sites, this approach would enable real-time prediction of wall stability and facilitate effective safety management. Overall, the developed Stability Evaluation System offers a promising solution for ensuring the stability of retaining walls during construction. By incorporating real-time soil parameter analysis, it enhances the accuracy of stability predictions and contributes to proactive safety management in excavation projects.

  • This paper presents a new and robust technique for a coarse frequency offset estimation in OFDM systems. As an evaluation of the proposed algorithm, we apply it to Eureka 147 DAB system. The proposed coarse frequency offset estimation algorithm is based on the differential detection technique between adjacent subcarriers to eliminate the phase shift effects of symbol timing offset and fractional frequency offset. A coarse frequency offset is determined from the correlation output between a received interarrier differential phase reference symbol and several locally generated but frequency-shifted intercarrier differential phase reference symbols. The performance of our estimation algorithm is evaluated by means of computer simulation and is compared with those of previous proposed algorithms for DAB transmission modes I, II, III, and IV. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm generates extremely accurate estimates with low complexity irrespective of the symbol timing offset.

  • Routing signal lines in PCB, line shapes would be straight or bent. time-domain and frequency-domain evaluation of the signal property and interference are archived by precise Modeling of differential signal line. Some of CAD tools can extract equivalent circuit model parameters. but it takes a long time and heavy loads. This paper introduces a basic RLC equivalent circuit model parameter extraction technique for bent differential structures using genetic algorithm by this technique, we can model equivalent circuit of bent differential structures more faster.

  • In this paper, we introduce cellular automata and propose a new block cipher algorithm based on cellular automata. For the evaluation of performance and security, we compare the results of the proposed algorithm with them of the standard block ciphers such as DES, Rijndael regarding on avalanche effects and processing time, and analyze the differential cryptanalysis for a reduction version of the proposed algorithm. In addition, we perform the statistical tests in FIPS PUB 140-2(Federal Information Processing Standards Publication 140-2) for the output bit sequences of proposed algorithm to guarantee the randomness property.

  • In this paper, we investigate the differential game theoretic approach for distributed dynamic cooperative power control in cognitive radio ad hoc networks (CRANETs). First, a payoff function is defined by taking into consideration the tradeoff between the stock of accumulated power interference to the primary networks and the dynamic regulation of the transmit power of secondary users (SUs). Specifically, the payoff function not only reflects the tradeoff between the requirement for quickly finding the stable available spectrum opportunities and the need for better channel conditions, but also reveals the impact of the differentiated types of data traffic on the demand of transmission quality. Then the dynamic power control problem is modeled as a differential game model. Moreover, we convert the differential game model into a dynamic programming problem to obtain a set of optimal strategies of SUs under the condition of the grand coalition. A distributed dynamic cooperative power control algorithm is developed to dynamically adjust the transmit power of SUs under grand coalition. Finally, numerical results are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm for efficient power control in CRANETs.

  • Although iris recognition verification is considered to be the safest method of biometric verification, studies have shown that iris features may be illegally used. To protect iris features and further improve the security of iris recognition and verification, this study applies the Gaussian and Laplacian mechanisms and to hide iris features by differentiating privacy. The efficiency of the algorithm and evaluation of the image quality by the image hashing algorithm are selected as indicators to evaluate these mechanisms. The experimental results indicate that the security of an iris image can be significantly improved using differential privacy protection.

  • We present a fast/parallel Poisson solver on disks, based on efficient evaluation of the exact solution given by the Newtonian potential and the Poisson integral. Derived from an integral formula-tion it is more accurate and simpler in parallel implementation and in upgrading to a higher order algorithm than an algorithm which solves the linear system obtained from a differential formulation.

  • In this paper, we propose a new destage algorithms, called the Dynamic Adaptive Threshold which determines turn-on and turn-off thresholds dynamically depending on the current write cache occupancy level and the differential rate of the host write requests. For performance evaluation, the proposed algorithm is compared with the wellknown High-Low Water Mark (HLWM) algorithm. Performance tests are fulfilled with our cached RAID 5 simulator. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm outperforms the HLWM algorithm in terms of response time of host reads and write cache hit ratio under various workloads.

  • This paper discuss a performance evaluation of the synchronization algorithm for hybrid networks in industrial environments. The proposed algorithms minimizes synchronization errors which were caused from channel, Propagation, and frequency delays. The modified RBS and offset synchronization methods can be operated by adjustment parameters. The differential BP (Back-off Period) adjustment can synchronize the local time of each node with master node's time in hybrid networks. For the performance analysis, the data transmission time between the wired and wireless devices are investigated. The experimental results show the performance evaluations in terms of the polling service time and an average end-to-end delay.
