For the purpose of treating health checkups and recovery of patients in a super-aged society, hospitals use devices designed with a reduction circuit of electromagnetic waves associated with the specific absorption rate of electromagnetic waves absorbed by the human body. In this paper, we proposed a filter improvement design method capable of reducing electromagnetic waves. As a result of confirming the validity of the proposed technique through simulation and experimental results, the following result values were obtained. Applying the common-mode (CM) inductor 4 mH to a calibration circuit, noise decreased in a multiband spectrum. Using the differential mode(DM) inductor 40 µH element in the primary calibration circuit, the noise decreased by 15 dB or more in the 3 MHz band spectrum. Also, applying the Admittance Capacitance (Y-Cap) 10 nF element in the secondary calibration circuit resulted in the decrease by more than 30 dB in the band spectrum before 2 MHz. After using a common-mode inductor 4 mH element in the tertiary calibration circuit, it decreased by more than 15 dB in the band spectrum after 2 MHz.
Measurement or prediction of compression index (Cc) of soils is essential for assessment of total and differential settlement of structures. It is a well-known fact that this parameter is controlled by several index identifiers of soil including initial void ratio, Atterberg limits, overconsolidation ratio, specific gravity, etc. Many studies in the past proposed relationships for prediction of Cc based on different index properties. Therefore, this study aims to present a comparison of previously proposed equations for estimation of Cc. Data from literature was compiled, and a total of 90 and 623 test results on remolded and undisturbed specimens were used to question the validity of previously proposed equations. Nevertheless, the modeling ability of 7 and 12 equations for estimation of Cc of remolded and undisturbed soils were questioned by use of compiled data. Moreover, new empirical relationships based on initial void ratio and toughness limit for prediction of Cc was proposed by use of nonlinear multivariable regression and evolutionary based regression analyses. The results are promising-the performances of models established are quite acceptable, which are verified by statistical analyses.

This study was conducted to develop items to measure scientific core competency based on statements of scientific core competencies presented in the 2015 revised national science curriculum and to identify the validity and reliability of the newly developed items. Based on the explanations of scientific reasoning, scientific inquiry ability, scientific problem-solving ability, scientific communication ability, participation/lifelong learning in science presented in the 2015 revised national science curriculum, 25 items were developed by five science education experts. To explore the validity and reliability of the developed items, data were collected from 11,348 students in elementary, middle, and high schools nationwide. The content validity, substantive validity, the internal structure validity, and generalization validity proposed by Messick (1995) were examined by various statistical tests. The results of the MNSQ analysis showed that there were no nonconformity in the 25 items. The confirmatory factor analysis using the structural equation modeling revealed that the five-factor model was a suitable model. The differential item functioning analyses by gender and school level revealed that the nonconformity DIF value was found in only two out of 175 cases. The results of the multivariate analysis of variance by gender and school level showed significant differences of test scores between schools and genders, and the interaction effect was also significant. The assessment items of science core competency based on the 2015 revised national science curriculum are valid from a psychometric point of view and can be used in the science education field.

This study is an empirical investigation and study on the measurement of nursing service quality as perceived by patients. A series of H1. H2. H3 alternative hypotheses were tested using a sample of 250 patients in Taegu City. Korea. HI hypothese were tested for application of five component of service quality (SERVQlTAL and SE RPERF : tangiblity. reliability. responsiveness. accessibility. understandability) in Taegu area Hospitals. Validity test - the five components of service quality were rearranged into two components of service quality (personal factor. nonpersonal factor). Although SERVQUAL was verified in USA. application for five components of service quality in Korea indicated that it need more analytical studies. Nobody can deny the fact that the recent growth of the nursing service quality is one of the most important driving forces of hospital management. In many hospitals. the nursing quality charges more than 50% of the medical service quality. As a result. many hospital managers should be enormous interests in the investment potentiality of the nursing service. However. doesn't many researchers invest their time and effort on the research of the quality control in nursing service. Nursing service management is the process to satisfy customer's desires and expectations through the various service activities. Presently nursing service are being faced with three Common tasks of improving quality of nursing service. competitively differential advantage and productivity because of quantitative expansion of Nursing service. Such a phenomenon is also found in our medical service industry. resulting from increasing demands for medical service owing to national medical insurance policy and consumer's attitude change emphasizing prevention of illness. excessiveness of medical facilities in large cities and increasing medical lawsuits due to influence of consumerism. Therefore. under such circumstances. this research on nursing service is conducted from nursing managements to improve the nursing service quality problems faced by medical institutions. The results of this theoretical/empirical research are as follows: 1. Nursing service Quality is regarded as patients' perceived quality and evaluated on the basis (5 dimension) of technical and functional quality. 2. Nursing service Quality is a concept of patients evaluation on the measurable multi-dimensions intrinsic and extrinsic attributes of service. 3. Nursing service Quality is conceptually defined as the difference between the perceived service and the expected service. 4. Korean consumers trend to evaluate nursing service quality based on such dimensions as responsiveness and reliability. understandability. accessibility. tangibility. 5. After analyzing whether or not there are some differences in respective medical institution. it was found that there are significant difference on understandability. reliability. communicability. courtesy. competence. 6. After analyzing the difference between the expected nursing service and the nursing perceived service, it was found that the expected nursing service is higher than the perceived service in every medical institution. 7. HI hypothesis was tested with regard to the validity test between SERVQUAL and SERVPERF in nursing service quality. The result of validity test between SERVQUAL and SERVPERF was found to have differential result. That is the R2 of SERVPERF is higher than that of SERVQUAL. Therefore. HI was verified in nursing management. H2. H3 hypotheses were tested whether or not the nursing service quality and patient satisfaction is the preceding variable. The result of H2 hypothes is that the nursing service quality is the preceding variable of patient satisfaction and the patient satisfaction is that of revisiting intention. After analyzing whether or not there is any differences on the demographic variable of five nursing service quality factor. it was found that there are statistically significant differences on communicability and courtesy at the sex. understand ability. accessibility and tangibility at the age. understandability at the academic background respectively.
In this paper, we propose a novel method to analyze and quantitatively evaluate the impression of landscapes and soundscapes about traditional area of Chungnam Asan city in Korea. For this, we collated data about impression evaluation of Korean and Japanese students and, based on these result, we proved the validity and usefulness of the evaluation system that we proposed through this study. The research process conducted in this study as follows: first of all, we had selected five traditional places of interest in Asan City, and investigated various conditional elements of the area including soundscapes which is forming the landscape using video camera. And we made both Korean and Japanese students evaluate the impression for these videotaped landscape data through using the SD(semantic differential) method. And then, we quantified these qualitative data through applying the quantification theory and cluster analysis method to them. Though this process, we could obtain both data as a result derived by classifying each sample and categorizing levels of those impression evaluation. Because of totally difference between those two analyzing processes, which one is for sample classification and the other is for determining impression level, we could validate the usefulness of our evaluation system through conducting comparative analysis of results from both methods. Analysis showed that our novel evaluation system for landscape is effective and, in most part of the traditional landscape, Japanese students' responses are different far from the Korean students' responses.
In this study, Receiver Operating Characteristic(ROC) analysis was used to evaluate the ability of cephalometric measurements to identify patients with Class III malocclusions. ROC analysis is the method for determining the validity of a diagnostic measure and for evaluating the relative value of diagnostic tests. The sample consisted of 496 patients with malocclusion. Class III malocclusion is defined as the dental relationship for which The mesiobuccal groove of the lower first molar is deviated mesially from the mesiobuccal cusp of the upper first molar. Of the total sample of 496 patients, 245 had Class III malocclusions. 16 cephalometric measurements were selected, each of which was treated as a diagnostic test. The ROC curves were generated for each cephalometric measurement with intervals of $1.0^{\circ}$ for angular measurements, 1.0mm for linear measurements. The area under the ROC curves was measured for direct comparison among different diagnostic tests. The results were as follows; 1. The 'Wits' appraisal was found to be a better diagnostic criterion for the presence of Class III malocclusion than any other commonly'used cephalometric measurement. 2. AB plane angle, ANB angle, App-Bpp distance, AF-BF distance, APDI, Distance of point A and Pog to N perpendicular, maxillomandibular differential had high diagnostic value. 3. Cephalometric measurements which evaluate the position of the mandible had moderate diagnostic value. 4. Cephalometric measurements related to the maxilla discriminated least between patients with and without Class III malocclusion.

Background: Differentiating cardiogenic pulmonary edema from other bilateral lung diseases such as pneumonia is frequently difficult. We conducted a retrospective study to identify predictors for cardiogenic pulmonary edema and non-cardiogenic causes of bilateral lung infiltrates in chest radiographs. Methods: The study included patients who had newly developed bilateral lung infiltrates in chest radiographs and patients who underwent echocardiography. Cases were divided into two groups based on the echocardiographic findings: the cardiogenic pulmonary edema group and the non-cardiogenic group. Clinical characteristics and basic laboratory findings were analyzed to identify predictors for differential diagnosis between cardiogenic and non-cardiogenic causes of bilateral chest infiltrates. Results: We analyzed 110 subjects. Predictors of cardiogenic pulmonary edema were higher brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) levels, lower C-reactive protein (CRP) levels on the day of the event (<7 mg/dL), age over 60 years, history of heart disease, and absence of fever and sputum. CRP on the day of the event was an independent factor to differentiate cardiogenic and non-cardiogenic causes of newly developed bilateral chest infiltrates. Also, the validity was comparable to BNP. Conclusion: Clinical symptoms (sputum and fever), medical history (dyslipidemia and heart disease), and laboratory findings (BNP and CRP) could be helpful in the differential diagnosis of patients with acute bilateral lung infiltrates in chest radiographs.

In modern society, damage caused by strong winds such as typhoons is expected to increase due to urbanization and global warming. In order to test the reinforcement performance of the newly developed window protection device, two-point force test and uniformly distributed load test were carried out on non-reinforced plate glass. It reinforcement performance of the window protection device was evaluated based on the flexural performance improvement. The analytical performance of the window protection device was evaluated by analysis using differential equations of elastic loading method and deflection curve and Midas-Gen. First, the analytical window protection device was evaluated by formulae derived using differential equations of elastic loading and deflection curve. The validity of the derived formulae investigated by comparing the maximum deflection of the central part of the plate with the experimental value and the theoretical value at maximum load. Then the results were compared with those by finite element FE method using Midas-Gen. Under the experimental conditions, with the window protection device, stress reduction effect up to 40% and deflection reduction up to 71.4% under the same load were obtained. It was also found that it is advantageous to perform the FE analysis using the plate element when the performance is evaluated because the error of FE analysis result using plate elements is far less than that using beam elements.

Objectives : This study examined the characteristics and differences of PAI(Personality Assessment Inventory) profile between compensation-seeking(CS) and treatment-seeking(TS) patients with traumatic brain injury(TBI) and assessed the clinical meaning of the characteristics and differences of profiles between the two groups. Methods : 36 TBI patients who visited the Wonkwang University Hospital were selected. The patients were categorized as compensation-seeking TBI patients(n=22) and treatment-seeking TBI patients(n=14). The PAI scales and subscales were used to compare differences between two groups. t-verification for each variable and comparison analysis were performed. Results:In validity scales, CS group showed significantly higher NIM scores and lower PIM scores than TS groups. In full scales, CS group showed significantly higher SOM, ANX, ARD, DEP, and SCZ scores than TS group. In subscales, CS group showed significantly higher SOM-S, ANX-A, ARD-P, DEP(-C, A, P), (MAN-I), PAR-H, SCZ(-T, P), BOR(-A, N), and ANT-S scores than TS groups. In supplementary scales, CS group showed significantly higher SUI, NON and AGG-P, and lower RXR scores than TS group. Conclusions:There were significant differences in PAI scales with validity scales, some full and subscales according to compensation seeking status in TBI patients. The CS patients tended to exaggerate their symptoms on PAI, and showed higher scores representing somatic preoccupation and emotional distress. These results show the usefulness of PAI in reflecting the significant psychological differences between two groups.

The purpose of this study is to provide basic data for the development of school education and employment policy by analyzing the differences between image of meister high school students anticipated by industrial HR managers and image actually perceived. For this, semantic differential method developed by Osgood (1957) was selected as the study tool. To find out images of meister high school students, validity of 50 adjectives suggested by Osgood and 21 additional adjectives used in previous studies was reviewed by 10 experts. Final 20 adjectives were selected by excluding adjectives that fail to satisfy validity of contents. Proportional sampling in metropolitan and non-metropolitan areas was done to select 350 final survey samples. A total of 600 surveys were distributed and 230 were returned. Return rate was 38.3%. The results of this study are as follows. First, image of meister high school students anticipated by industrial HR managers showed average score of 2.49, which indicates a positive image. In addition, factor analysis was performed to classify adjectives into groups, and they were divided into three factors including external factor, way of thinking factor, and internal (personality) factor. Second, image of meister high school students currently perceived by industrial HR managers showed average score of 3.24, which indicates a positive image. Third, image of meister high school students currently perceived by industrial HR managers was not as positive as image they anticipate.
